Want to restrict user form putting any value in condition in po

Dear all,
ply help on this matter.
i want to restrict person for put any value in condition tab for po.
let say i am putting "FRC1" condition and value let say 5rs then i should get an error saying your are not authorised.
puprose:condition like FRC1 ETC should not be allowed to change.

Hi,
To restrict any manual entries for a Condition type, In that condition type under Changes which can be made maintain 'D' for Manual entries option.
Along with this maintain the condition record for that perticular vendor for the amount which has to be paid for Freight.

my program has 2 options for user: 1. To enter a list of values(for which im using table), 2. To use default values embedded in the program.
for these options i have used jRadioButtons n ButtonGroup.When user selects DefaultValues radiobutton program uses default values,but when it selects DefaultValues radiobutton i want to disable the Table such that the user cannot enter any value in the cell and it should be visible to the user too that the table has been disabled.
The user should only b able to enter values in table if he/she selects the first option's radiobutton.
note: im using DefaultTableModel, if somebody can tell me any way other than using isCellEditable(),it would be more appreciatable

The first thing you might try is resetting the Crop Tool by right clicking on the crop icon in the tool options bar and choosing Reset Tool.
If that doesn't work then the next thing is to reset the photoshop elements 2 settings file by holding down
the Shift+Ctrl+Alt keys just after clicking or double clicking on the pse 2 shortcut.
Keep holding the keys until a dialog appears ask if you want to delete the photoshop elements settings file
and click yes in the dialog.

Can't Restrict users form accessing folders

I have just installed my Mac osx server and i have created my users and shared my folders but it looks like all the users are able to access my folders even though i set permissions for them.even if i Deny in Acl the user still has access to the folder.i want to give specific users access to certain folders.what am i doing wrong? your help will be greatly appreciated.

If this is a production server, I'd suggest acquiring some IT coverage or an escalation path for issues, or both. As nice as Mac OS X Server is, you're still running a Unix server, and a month and a half of problems is going to be something that the users will take issue with.
Your /Users folder looks somewhat problematic by what's not present there; I'd expect to find (more) users' home directories there, and I'd expect the users' directories to be owned by the specific user and by "staff"
Here's what the home directory for user zork2 looks like in /Users directory, for a configuration with the users's homes in /Users.

This would be a common case for OD users created under the /Users directory on the server.
The user edem parallels this and looks OK, but (if that's the entire contents of your /Users directory) it looks like the users are created elsewhere.
You'll need to use Workgroup Manager (WGM) to locate that elsewhere, and then go check that area for its protections and ACLs. The commands involved in listing protections over in that path are similar (albeit adjusted for the different directory path), and the outputs should match what was posted for zork2 or edam in the existing /Users directory.
Apparently I was insufficiently clear with the +ls -ale /users/somefolder+ command reference and had intended to look at the settings within one of the problematic user's directory, but it does appear that the first command showed enough to indicate that the users' homes are elsewhere.
I'd also suggest getting an IT escalation path, first and foremost. Another good option (albeit from personal experience with following this path, one that can occasionally lead to frustration and outages) is going to be the school of hard knocks and whatever classes and books you can get your hands on or can attend; the proverbial crash-course in Mac and Unix server IT management. I've not viewed the tutorial videos available at Lynda.com, though various folks posting around the forum do indicate those can be a good resource.

How to restrict a user typing a custom value in the dDocAccount field.

I have dDocAccount field drop down pre-populated with 2 values - Dept1, Dept2. However, user can able to type any other values (say Dept3) in the account text box and checkin a doc from WCC UI. How to restrict user from entering custom values?
As an alternate solution - for time being i have the above account field is set as hidden using rule. I am trying to derive the account value from another one field's value (say Departments field with values Dept1, Dept2). I tried below code and found working:
Department is a custom field created as option list with values Dept1, Dept2
Under the Rules, for the field dDocAccount, is derived field checked and added below code

If Department is a custom metadata then you should access it like xDepartment(as any other custom metadata), not dDepartment.
I know it is also possible to change the HTML that is generated for the dDocAccount field, to add javascript validation and so on, maybe this approach plus some additional JS and HTML twists and you should get it working(via component development).

I took a look at the documentation of this FM to confirm what I was thinking:
"You can also disable the function allowing users to enter values to be excluded from the selection (SIGN = 'E')."
So I think this is trying to tell us that we can turn off the ability for the user to enter "exclude" but we cannot turn off the option for the user to enter "include" options.
When you set ***-sg_main = 'I', it means that only "include" options are allowed.
I think you will need to do your own validation.
In the event AT SELECTION SCREEN you can do a LOOP on your selection option name and validate the users selections:
LOOP AT SO_MINE.
IF SO_MINE-SIGN NE 'E'.
    SET CURSOR FIELD 'SO_MINE-LOW'.
    MESSAGE E123.
ENDIF.
ENDLOOP.
It has been awhile since I used this FM so please let us know how it goes.

Restricting user to maintain entries in production through table maintenanc

I have created one table maintenance generator.
I am sending entries of table to quality and production server through transport request.
But user can directly maintain the entries in quality and production server also.
I want to restrict user that he will not be allowed to maintain the entries directly in quality and production server and entries always go through transport request from development to quality and production server.
Any idea how to restrict user to maintain entries in quality and production server.

Hi tarun,
for your requirement you have to create events(create new entry) in table maintanace generator for creating new entry.
create 05 event and give suroutine name as new_entry.
form new_entry.
message 'authorizatioh restricted for creating new entry' type 'E'.
or
create authorization objects then give authorization for perticular user for maintaining data in the table
by creating authorization objects.
endform.

Restrict user to see the contents of a transparent table

Hi fnds,
i want to restrict users in seeing the contents of a database table..
ithat is, when they go to se16 and hit enter.. and try to execute F8 button.. it should not show any records and no access should be available to that user...
Can this be possible with auth object - whoever is authorizeed they only shoud see the contents..
how to do this.. this table doenst not have table maintanence -- no SM30 data maintancne..

This is part of the table definition in the data dictionary (not sure with what release that was introduced, but if you're not on an old system you should probably have it). I.e. in the data dictionary (SE11) on the Delivery and Maintenance tab for the table you have a field Data Browser/Table View Main., which you should set to N Display/Maintenance not allowed. If you check the F1 help on the field you'll get a nice long explanation.
If you don't have this option (on an old release) check out OSS note [26909 - SE16 - Security|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/26909], which explains your other option via authorization object S_TABU_DIS (access control might be a bit too coarse). probably you need to create user status profile.
Use TA BS02 to create status profile
here you have to add authorization key which needs to be defined in BS52
use b_user_stat auth object to give profiles in custom roles in PFCG
Thus you can block access to change status
