WAP200 Firmware WAP200-FW-2.0.1.3-K9.img Failure

I downloaded firmware version 2.0.1.3 upgrade and two of three WAP200 are now non-functional.  I have tried the reset several times but no matter what I do all I get is the Power and Ethernet light.  The Wireless light does not light at all.
The first WAP200 upgrade went fine.  The two others just hung at the system rebooting page and never came back to life.
If anyone has had similar problems, or may have any ideas or solutions, I would greatly appreciate them.  This system is for a non-profit volunteer fire department, and replacments are not really an option.  They are well out of warranty.
Thanks in advance.

I called Cisco Customer Service and they replaced two of the bricked APs.  There was no fixing them.  If they are less than 3 years old, they should be under the hardware warranty.  The exchange went well, but the new APs still had the old firmware.  I was able to successfully install the firmware update on the new APs.

• WAP200E and WAP200 as repeaters, external antennas, poor signal

I am having some weird things happen...
I have setup a WAP200E external w/o optional antenna and using (2) WAP200 internal units in separate buildings setup as repeaters.  I have added a external
Yagi 10Dbi directional antenna to both repeaters with short cables and using the standard antenna for the internal wireless needs.
Both buildings are about 200' line of sight from the WAP200E with a angle of less then 45 degrees from the WAP200E,
I am getting a signal that continually jumps from 20% - 60% Channel keep changing etc...  looks like a typically poor signal connection
I am able to access the internet from either repeater, but not reliably
Question 1: External Antenna....
I was going to install a similar external Yagi antenna on WAP200E but I was reading that the external antenna in turned on automatically when the WAP200E
senses a antenna. Cisco only certifies one particular antenna to connect to the WAP200E and that is the  HGA9N which is a 9DBI omni directional antenna
I would much rather use a directional antenna, but I was reading that the WAP200E may not reconize any other antenna's, plus I cant find any way to determine if the WAP200E actually turns on the external antenna.   Does anyone have any experience using the WAP200E with external antennas?
Question 2:
SSID's on repeaters
On the WAP200E and WAP200 units, It show that that repeaters can have unique SSID's I tested them using the same SSID as the A/P and also with unique SSID's  Which approach would be the more reliable?
Question 3:
Freq Channels setting:
Typically I would set the channel to be fixed on all three units to keep them from hopping from channel to channel. Is my logic correct?
Is there any way to determine which channel is the best, beside trial and error?
Also, can I lock the speed to a slower setting to help improve reliability?
Question 4:
Bridging:
I was considering setting up one of the repeaters as a bridge can the WAP200E A/P handle communicating with a bridge and a repeater at the same time?
Does anyone have any experience using these as bridges?  I see a few issues online regarding briging with these units
Wireless is tough enough, but flakey wireless product can make you wish had a wire
Firmware... 1.20 on the WAP200E A/P unit.. I guess I will try 1.20a but the blogs say it doesnt matter
Firmware on the WAP200 unit is unknown at the moment
Thanks in advance

Update...
After speaking with Linksys support staff, they informed me that the antenna jacks on the WAP200 are slightly different
One jack is TX & RX and the other jack is RX only...
It is not documented or labeled as such on the device.
The support person told me it was the right jack when facing the rear of the unit with the network jack facing you. but this is the way I
had it configured... so for giggles I swapped the antenna jacks and presto it works fine
Many thanks

• Boot Failure iMac G3 400MHz, goes on firmware mode :S

Hello everyone,
I recently bought a second hand iMac G3, 400MHz processor and 128mb ram, 10gb harddrive. I've always wanted a Mac just for the fun of it, and i finally got it. I dont think this imac is dead, but i'm having trouble on boot. It is not booting the traditional way, it is going down to firmware boot.
It gives this info:
MacOS: Boot Failure! (0xF3C481F6)
Mac OS: parcel initialization failure - bad checksum
Then i have 2 choices from the firmware for booting or shutting down 1. mac-boot command and 2. shut-down command.
So, i give it the mac-boot command; in starts showing the mac face for a few seconds, then it displays this message below of it:
/pci@f2000000/mac-io@17/ata-4@1f000/disk@0:5,\\:tbxi
after maybe a minute it finally displays the face and ? symbol; typical of not finding the system. Problem is that, even starting the imac with the system disc on it and pressing "c" at bootime, it still goes to the firmware thing...
Is there a way to tell the imac "hey dont boot at firmware, boot at cd!!" ??
Oh, by the way...during the "/pci@f2000000/mac-io@17/ata-4@1f000/disk@0:5,\\:tbxi" message I can still press the "alt" key and it shows me the retry arrow, the system harddrive labeled "Lorelai's comp", the system CD and the straight right arrow.... i try clicking on the harddrive and also on the CD icons to try to boot, but it only refreshes the screen changing from the traditional blue/purple background to a red-ish background and arrow/drive's buttons get funny colors...
i dont know what is going on....i dont think the imac is dead....i guess it has to do with that firmware booting default thing...
please help....
thanks in advance.

Hi again Kenichi,
Question: I've done that procedure yesterday, but i pressed the button for only 1 second 1 TIME ....can i make the procedure again despite if i did it 1 time before? or doing it again will crash the iMac forever?
About the black screen i told you before, here's the thing...if i place a battery on it and reset the nvram via keyboard commands or firmware commands, at the restart then is when the imac goes on black....BUT if i remove the battery, leave it there for a minute or 2, and then power it on, it goes to the firmware state again, ofcourse with good video on it....i dont think it has a video problem...but i dont understand why when making the reset procedures with a battery on the iMac this black-non starting screen keeps going...
Thanks in advance.

• Firmware 2.0 - Still random Nokia tune!

Hi all,
Upgraded to 2.0.19. Still get the annoying random Nokia tune instead of the MP3 ringtone. Was´nt this supposed to be fixed?
Other seems fine, like the scrolling and stuff.
Cheers...

i am shocked, my N97 is on the 3(UK) network and the only problem i get with my phone is the random nokia tune bug, everything else is perfectly fine with it. my phone rarely crashes, it has maybe dropped 2 calls since i got it in july, it always has connection,
If nokia still have not fixed the tune bug whats the point in updating to V20 if your on 3(uk)? we already have skype so it not like VoIP excites me in any way.
Sure the kenetic scrolling would be nice as i have almost 4000 songs on the phone and finding the one you want can be a nightmare
All this hype about v20 over the past few months turns out to be a big steaming pile of plop in my eyes,
I have no doute that as soon as 3 approve V20 i will update and open a world of problems lol, just my luck
EDIT:  i found that i get the Nokia tune if i dont turn off my FM transmitter after playing music in the car. I make sure i turn it off before i exit the music player now and it seems to work for me.

• WRT350N firmware upgrade not working

Hi, I've just been given an unused WRT350N router.
I've had a few problems getting it setup on my MAC (OSX 10.5.6), but it transpired they were problems using Firefox which were resolved when I started using Safari. However, I still have one outstanding problem with upgrading the firmware....
I want to upgrade the firmware from the original 2.0.10 to the latest available of 2.0.19. I have downloaded this from the Support page, which gives me a readme text file and a .IMG file which i presume is the firmware file (all instructions I have found imply it should be a .BIN file)
I have connected my router to the MAC using a wired connection and followed the firmware upgrade instructions (selecting the .IMG file), followed the rest steps (including using the hardware reset button, and the software factory defaults option), but when the router comes back up it still says its at firmware 2.0.10.
I get no error messages, and have noticed that at the end of the upgrade it does NOT display the "Upgrade is sucessful, rebooting.." message.
I have been through this several times with same results. Any ideas please ?
Thank in advance.
Solved!
Go to Solution.

I have this same problem now with firmware for  WAG54GS   the zip file produces a  .IMG file after running winzip
This file is not acceptable to the firmware upgrade as a .BIN file.
The firmware is expecting a .bin format.   It does not like this .IMG file.
The documentation all refers to .bin.
Just renaming the file as .bin causes the linksys to abandon the upload.
I am on a Windows XP.       .BIN is UNIX/LINUX terminology.    Do I have to do the firmware upgrade on Linux?
Tried to get some software to checkout the   .img file but nothing likes it.
WAG54GSv1-E1-AnnexB-ETSI-ML-1.01.05-code.img  is what my winzip gets.
What am I supposed do with this file to get it into the right shape for the     WAG54GS?
It wants   .bin file    not this?

• Feedback for forum: WAP4410N lock ups - how we fixed!

Hi All,
Our organisation struggled for the past 12 months with 6 x WAP4410N devices in our small office environment - configured as access points, same ssid, separate channels, no interference. Our errors consisted of:
1. Random lockups, up to 3 times a day - requiring reboot to fix
2. Not passing on DHCP requests - requiring reboot to fix
3. Some wireless devices unable to ever make a successful connect
Over this 12 month period we upgraded firmware, last  being 2.0.5.3, applied tips from this forum, and also opened cases with Cisco - we ended up resorting to 4 reboots per day for each device to get some productivity out of these access points.
Start of this month we contacted Eric Moyers, Cisco Engineer who monitors this forum, who assisted with opening a new Cisco case. This case was escalated immediately, beta firmware provided and tested, feedback provided as still same failures. Cisco then provided the option of full refund on all 6 devices which we accepted - provided proof of purchase (original invoices). We then purchased 6 x WAP321  inconjunction with advice from Eric - slighly more expensive than the WAP4410N, however we could have gone with WAP121's.
10 days ago we implemented the WAP321's, configuration so simple, and have had absolutely 100% trouble free success - no lockups, dropouts, refusing connections and every wireless device we have successfully connects.
I hope this information can help those of you who struggle for resolution of WAP4410N  issues - raising a case is easy with Cisco, testing by Cisco support quick, refund painless and deployment of WAP321s simple. My management is extrememly happy with the outcome. If you want to contact Eric you will see his regular posts here and he even lists his direct email address.
Kindest regards,
Dale Bentley

Hi,
First of all thanks to all for the help, and CJLittle...LMAO !  My car is a Scooby and a nice blue paint job !  Believe it or not they assured me all this would work.. I bought it in one package and even questioned it.  Also to be fair up until then they had always been very good... shows they have no zero about 3200XP 200 fsbetc...  When I went back with the power supply and told them they changed it out and let me off on the extra money it should have been.
The crashes are as follows :-
Locks up after random amounts of time in games, sometimes dont even get to load it up at all, other times I can play 2 hours.  When the games lock up usually there is a high pitch squeal and can only get out of it by reset or power off.
I cannot install Zone Alarm Pro or Agnitum Outpost are 2 anyway (there are others) these just come up with the installer screen and hangs there, I have to go to Task Manager to close them down, unlike the lock up in games.
The cooler is the Coolermaster Jet... and the temperature is more than acceptable (right now is 44 C) so I cannot see that at all being a factor.
leds are on on the d bracket when it locks, I did not know of this function and will check it out. Thanks for that tip.
Question from me: would the 2700 RAM cause these lockups ?  I would have thought it would just not work at all ?  If this is possible then I will go and change out the RAM as tuning it down to 166 (if it is possible) does not appeal to me !  But yes it may show what the problem is.
Thanks again, will see what happens...

• My experience with EQO on my E61i - others?

Hi all,
I'd like to start out by saying that I've been using EQO (www.eqo.com) for a few days now and am relatively satisfied. I'd like to see what other users' experiences have been like using this application.
In my experience, about 80% of the calls have been very good quality. On the other 20% there has been a notable delay, making the conversations "awkward". This is when calling internationally from Italy.
For those that have used EQO in the past, you should know that they changed their model completely just last month. They aren't "just another SKYPE client" any more but instead have set up their own competing network to allow cheap international calls via VOIP. The twist is that you can do this from anywhere you have a GSM/GPRS signal instead of being "tethered" to your computer.
In a nutshell, you install the EQO client on your MIDP 2.0 phone (most MIDP 2.0 phones appear to be supported) then use it to make calls instead of making them via the "normal" phone interface. The underlying mechanism is this: they have you make a call in-country then forward the call along to the final destination via VOIP. This is done via a MIDP 2.0 application which imports your phone book from the phone then communicates with the EQO server via GPRS/UMTS/WiFi/etc.. When you want to make a call, it tells the server where you're calling then automatically places a call to a number in the country YOUR phone number is from which is then automatically routed to the final number. It's an interesting model and, in practice is pretty transparent to the user (in the end, without worrying too much about what's going on "under the covers", you just make your calls via the EQO application on your phone and it goes through ...). On the downside you wind up paying for the "local" call to a land line telephone number. On the positive side, you don't need to have a wifi capable phone or pay large data charges to have your calls go across UMTS.
It's an interesting alternative to Skype (or FRING) and can be used on most MIDP 2.0 phones since it doesn't require WiFi or UMTS.
Has anybody else tried this application? What have your experiences been?
Regards,
Brad

Can you assign a time interval to autolock your keypad? I don't think so. It's a new bug after updating to V20 !!!!!!!!
never noticed that. Not that I really care. My screen times out after one min, which is what I had it set on before I updated anyway, so it looks like the setting are now 1 min or not at all in the menu.. So we are missing the 30 second option, that is not what I would call a bug to be honest, looks like it was changed on purpose

• No Wifi after upgrade to 3.1.3 on my iPhone 3G

Hi All,
Well, I updated my iPhone 3G to 3.1.3 from 3.1 and my iPhone does not show the Wifi anymore. The Wifi settings in "Settings" is grayed out.
I am sheerly frustrated by the fact that the update has bricked my phone. Since, then I have tried severals restores and resets. But alas no luck. Finally, I tried "Reset Network Settings" once again and the Wifi was detected and the Wifi address showed up.
Next, my Wifi dropped connection after being connected to the Airport Express base station after 30 mins. The Wifi would no longer detect any networks. I restarted the phone and the Wifi is gone again. No Wifi address and the Wifi address is missing. I again did "Reset Network Settings" several times. Finally, the Wifi showed up again. This time around, the Wifi dropped connection after 10 mins and won't show up again.
I am, certain that the 3.1.3 update is causing these issue. My phone has been working perfectly before the update.
I know there are other threads on this issue. I am starting a new one just to have Apple's attention on this issue. I fail to understand how I am supposed to live with a iPhone which was bricked by the software update.

Your iPhone wasn't bricked. An iPhone that is bricked means it doesn't function at all. If everything else but wi-fi works on your iPhone, your iPhone is far from the definition of being bricked.
If no change after restoring your iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup, the 3.1.3 firmware update did not cause this. A firmware or software update can't cause a hardware failure. When there is a major problem after installing a major OS update with Windows or OS X, more than likely there was an underlying problem that was brought to the surface by installing the update but wasn't cause by the update, and a software update can't cause a hardware failure.
More than likely this is a hardware failure and if so, you have no way of knowing if this would have occurred anyway without installing the firmware update. Because it occurred immediately after installing the firmware update, the update is being blamed - no different when there is a problem after installing an OS update with Windows or OS X - it was working fine before installing the update - blah, blah.
I experienced the very same within the last couple of months or so. I noticed my iPhone was no longer connected to my wi-fi network at home. I re-joined the network, and the connection was quickly dropped and I was unable to re-join. I tried forgetting the network and re-joinging the network and the same. No different after an iPhone reset. I reset my wireless router and modem, and no change. I restored my iPhone with iTunes from my iPhone's backup and as a new iPhone or not from my iPhone's backup with no change after each, so I made an appointment at a nearby Apple store where is was quickly determined my iPhone had a hardware failure which could have occurred right after installing a firmware update.
My 3G was 1&1/2 years old at the time and since I planned on using my 3G for two years, I purchased the AppleCare extended warranty before the standard one year warranty had expired. I walked out of the Apple store with an exchange under warranty.

• PLEASE HELP iPhone 4s wont restore despite every fix error 29/21

Hi all,
I thought I was being clever telling a mate at work Id be able to fix his 4s after he tried to upgrade to ios7 and it basically bricked. when on it shows the cable and world symbol and nothing else.
what ive done so far:
entered dfu and tried to restore numerous different firmwares including the latest but no luck. I will say that restoring on itunes to latest firmware gets 99% there before failing error 29 (sometimes 21).
edited hosts file in terminal to remove the gs.apple file. does nothing
downloaded tiny umbrella to remove cydia thingy but its not highlighted anyway
exited itunes before doing any host file edits and rebooted.
if i don't edit hosts file i dont get an error code i get 'requested build cannot be done' message
phone is currently useless but i cant understand why i cant boot an earlier firmware to get it out of this loop of failure??
any help in non tech terms would be gratefully received other than 'chuck it away and buy another' - this MUST BE FIXABLE
Kris

No jailbreak. all of the online 'fixes' related to installing tiny umbrella to exit the restore mode and unchecking a Cydia (whatever that is) is one of the main points. I was just suggesting it doesn't work.
I Assume u work for apple based on the fact you would care about a jailbroken phone (I can't imagine it bothers anyone else) so perhaps you could look into this fault? I have read about a battery fault issue but I can't see how one day on iOS 6 it works and then on attempting to install 7 it's now a battery fault? Makes no sense. Thanks

• My screen turns gray with a blinking folder and a question mark

My computer started going really slow so I tried to restart it. When it started to turn back on the screen just went gray for a minute or two then a darker gray folder with a question mark on it started blinking in the middle of the computer. little help?

Hi,
Before you buy a new hard drive, you may be able to get it fixed free of charge.
MacBooks equipped with Seagate hard drives model ST96812AS (and possibly other Seagate models)
with firmware 7.01 have experienced a higher than normal failure rates. The failure mode is that the heads detach from the positioning mechanism.
You can use System Profiler to see what type of hard drive is installed. If you have gotten the screen with the folder and blinking question mark, and you do have a Seagate ST96812AS installed, I recommend calling AppleCare or taking your Macbook to a retail service center. There is a good chance you may be able to get the drive replaced, even if your MacBook is no longer covered by a warranty.
The hard drive is considered to be a user serviceable part, so you might not have to send the entire computer in, but rather swap only the hard drive via mail.
Best wishes for a problem resolution,
Bill

• Audigy NX Multiple Instances in Device Mana

Since I first installed the Audigy NX, I've had a problem with Device Manager having multiple instances of both the SB and the Composite USB device. It seems like it's associated with the SBUSBdll.Dll at XP Boottime that re-enumerates the Sound Card. Not a major issue, but everytime it gets redetected it uses the default values (Sample Rates, Volume mixer settings).
Has anyone else seen this type of behavior ? I'm tempted to take the SBUSBdll.Dll out of Startup and see if I can keep just the "Single" Audigy NX in my Device Table.
Usually, I'll have two instances, an acti've and a "Phantom". Last time I checked, I had 4 instances of each in Device Manager. All System/Drivers are updated and NX Firmware is latest available.
Thanks -

I have a problem loading ASIO drivers with my Audigy 2 NX / USB sound card.My PC is a HP Pavillion ZD8000 laptop, with 52Mb RAM and a 60GB dri've,
Windows XP home.
I am trying to select the Creative ASIO driver from within the Cubase LE VSTi multitrack setup dialogue.
I went into the VST/device setup and sure enough there was the creative
ASIO driver in the drop-down. However, when I try to select it it says
that the driver could not be loaded. I have run the update mechanism
from the Creative site and it has updated all my drivers, so I have the
latest ones installed.
Does anybody know if there is anything else I need to setup to allow me
select the Creative ASIO driver?
My version of Cubase LE is .07...
Thanks.
Is ASIO on NX 'locked' to 6-bit/48 kHz or is there also 24-bit/96 kHz resolution available?
Try to set driver bit-depth to 6 and samplerate to 48 kHz on Cubase.
Have you tried USB-ASIO drivers? There is a demo available.
Another driver(s) to try out are Asio4All and Asio2KS. These are WDM/KS 'wrappers' but should work with low latencies too (as required on recording).

Does anyone know how I can find out what the icons mean on my STBs? The "User Guide" on the Verizon site is an install guide, not a user guide. I can not find anything with these icons described. On my DVR and STBs I have a flashing house icon. What does it mean???

I have been trying to get Cisco hardware for a year, so I can better help customers. But have not had much luck getting them to change out my hardware. I have had Motorola since FiOS launched in my area, and Cisco has not been available. It is all Cisco or all Motorola, they can not be mixed.
PS.
Thanks for the pictures of your display. The manual and your display shows the native output on the box. Which I have been told by Verizon more than once, does not exist. I do have my Motorola QIP-7232 P2 set for native output, which is a feature that came with img 1.9. . I am sure it was a Motorola firmware change in conjuntion with the 1.9 img. It was heard that Cisco supported Native Output and some Motorola users were asking for it. Me as #1. My TiVO has it, and I added a 7232 and wanted it.

• No smoking sign on mac without cigarette :: what happened?

Thank you in advance for helping me!
I have a G4 AGP Pro Mac. Mac used only for graphic design purposes. My mac qualifies for latest Tiger installation.
Ran diagnostics and latest updates, all healthy/current!
OS 9.2.2 installed on mac on 210 Gig HD partitioned into two segments. One is 20 Gig the other is the remainder of gigs. The 20 gig partition has the OS 9 system software on it.
Ok, installed Tiger onto 20 gig drive.
Successful install and it restarted.
Then you see grey screen.
Apple icon, turning wheel.
Then after a long period of time you have a circle with a slash appear on the screen. Kinda looks like a no smoking sign on mac without cigarette.
Now what?
I have tried the following:
1. Boot from Tiger DVD. Utilities-->check drives. All ok.
2. Boot from Tiger DVD. Utilities-->fix
3. Boot from Tiger DVD. Utilities-->Chose OS X as startup
3. Zap Pram 3 times in a row and then Zap COOD.
4. Reinstall Tiger without anything attached to mac.
ie externals, dsl, printers, etc.
Now what??? Completely frustrating!
I am saving up for a new mac and do not have the option to purchase a new one yet. HD's are all new and are in perfect working condition.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! THANK YOU!

Everything is current on OS 9.2.2. However I downloaded per your request to verify and tried to install. Correct, firmware current.

9. Restarted, held "C" key with TIGER dvd in drive
10. selected OS 9 as startup; reset PRAM 3 X's
Will try this and any other options you suggest. I really don't want to erase this drive just yet. Will try this suggestion:
a. start up from OS 9
b. drag fonts folder to desktop
c. restart Mac in TIGER
Will keep you posted. Tried that whole article with no luck. However you are fantastic for finding it for me. One step closer to solution in my opinion

• Seagate Drives

I just read an article on cnet.com (http://www.news.com/8301-13579_3-9823370-37.html?tag=nefd.top) regarding Seagate hard drives and firmware 7.01. The article cites a flaw that causes the drive heads to scratch the drive resulting in data loss.
I'm on my 2nd drive as is a friend who I convinced to move to a MacBook. In both of our cases, the drives failed about a couple months after purchase. After reading the article, I see that I have a Seagate drive (ST98823AS) and I'm running firmware version 7.01.
Since my initial HD failure, I back up on a regular basis, but should I be talking to Apple about a replacement? Apparently Apple is looking into the issue...

The 60G drive in my MacBook is a Toshiba MK6034GSX, 1.5 GB/s, 5400 RPM.
The problem is that every hard drive manufacturer has had batches of bad drives over the last decade. I have seen bad lots from: Seagate, IBM, Western Digital, Maxtor, Quantum, IBM, Samsung, Toshiba, JTS.
Up to now, I've had very good luck with Seagate. The problem is that a previously excellent manufacturer can suddenly produce a batch of awful drives. Over time, Seagate has been one of the most reliable brands for me.
The object lesson is making off-line back-ups is an absolute necessity, regardless what hard drive you may have. The manufacturer of the hard drive is not a certain predictor of any one model's reliability. You should be making back-ups to guard against catastrophic losses anyway.
Note that OEM hard drives and boxed retail drives do not necessarily have equal warranties. The drive manufacturer may sell the OEM versions at a discount to the integrator on the presumption the integrator will assume the risk for issuing replacement drives. That's why, if you buy an over-stock OEM drive from a liquidator, the drive manufacturer may not offer a warranty.
Best wishes for hard drive reliability,
Bill

• 7936 - Unable to contact TFTP server

I have a 7936 polycom that is displaying the error message "Cannot contact tftp server". I have reset to factory defaults, verified that it is not connected to a trunked switch port, and connected it to a known working power supply/switchport that another 7936 is working from. Only difference between two phones is firmware load versions.
Working 7936 app load = 7936.3-3-14-0 rev 16
Non-working 7936 app load = 7936.3-3-2-0 rev 14
- I can ping all tftp servers in UCCM cluster from this phone, but firmware upgrade does not work due to tftp contact failure
Is it necessary to manually upgrade firmware before tftp server(s) can be contacted? ..if so, is manual upgrade possible via bypass of the tftp service on an ip phone?
Any suggestions would be most helpful and I rate all posts!! :-)

- Yes it is in the same VLAN as the Call Mgr
- No firewall ports blocking communication to the TFTP servers
- 7936 is in the same VLAN as the Call Managers
Remember, I plugged this 7936 phone into the same port as another known working 7936 and still received TFTP communication error. I can also ping all TFTP/Call Mgr servers from this phone.
I'm really thinking that it's got to be a hardware issue with the phone. All symptoms point to that, so I opened a TAC on it this afternoon and they stated that they will simply issue an RMA for replacement. Thanks for all posted replies on this matter.
