Warehouse In stock

hi all,
Why in stock of a item shows sum of stock of all warehouse's eventhough
there is a negative stock in specific warehouse on all documents ?
Above issue gets corrected in latest patch or in 2007B patch levels ?
We are using SAP B1 2005B PL36.
Jeyakanthan.

My question is
Why in sales/purchasing documents In Stock shows overall stock instead of stock at specific warehouse which may be positive/negative stock ?
Whether this issue is corrected in latest B level patches ?

  • Authorization for certain warehouse in stock transfer

I'm trying to create an authorization for stock transfer when To Warehouse equals a certain value. Is there a way to do it?

    Hi,
How could I do it with an approval procedure?
You can create approval stages and template by using query
    Is it with a query?
    Yes
Will it be similar to a formatted search?
    Yes
Try this query for row level with only one item.
    Select Distinct 'True' FROM OWTR T0 inner join WTR1 T1 on T0.docentry = T1.docentry
    Where $[$23.5.0] = 'ExScrap'
Note: Replace Exscrap with your warehouse name.

  • Warehouse and stock balance question.

    Hi All,
Warehouses were set up to not manage stock by warehouse. As a result, two warehouses (01 and 02) have a stock value balance on a stock item where the stock level is zero. The item has no stock in any warehouse but with a value balance in both warehouses 01 and 02.
Is there a way to clear these balances?

  • Warehouse management stock upload

    Dear all,
I have done the entire config of WMS. When i am trying to upload stock thru MB1C and movement type 561 i am getting the error..' storage bin 002 998 AUFNAME' does not exist.
    Thanx in advance.
    Regards,
    Pankaj Jain

Have posted IM transaction with 561 movement? This posting will create quant in 998 storage type. When you do 561 in WM then system will pick stock from 998 storgae type & put in destination bin.
First do IM posting & then WM.

Ex- form date---- to date----- i want to see what was my instock warehouse wise.
The "Inventory in Warehouse Reports" gives the current inventory only.
I have written a query to find the date wise inventory datewise, but i cannot segment it warehousewise. Please help me. How can it be done?
    Regards

    Hi All,
Thanks for your response. Actualy I have explored these areas.  But these parameters are alternate to each other. I mean we can generate Warehousewise or Item wise or BPwise........
But I want to have a warehousewise and sumed or grouped itemwise with date selection paramenters.
Moreover i find that when i generate the warehouse wise report (in the other Tab> by- warehose then the report generated is blank!!

  • Stock Aging report in SAP Business One

    Greetings,
I don't think this issue has been raised successfully on the forums (i checked, there's no real resolution at the moment).
The end user requires some form of stock aging that their auditors deem important but there's no such feature within SAP B1.
    Their basic requirements would be:
Stock Code | Description | Date of Purchase | Current Month (qty) | 30-90 Days (qty) | 91-120 Days (qty) | 120 days and above (qty)
I'm wondering if this is even possible with the end user using multiple warehouses to stock their inventory, and some items are marked as serial items and others are marked as batch.
    Any ideas?

Thank you for pointing me in the right direction. Amended your query a little so the user input square brackets are there.
    SELECT T0.ITEMCODE , T0.ONHAND as 'Total Qty', CASE WHEN Datediff(day, T1.LASTPURDAT,GETDATE())<45 THEN T0.ONHAND END '<45 Days(Qty)', CASE WHEN Datediff(day, T1.LASTPURDAT,GETDATE())<45 THEN T0.ONHAND*T0.AVGPRICE END '<45 Days(Value)', CASE WHEN DateDiff(day, T1.LASTPURDAT,GETDATE()) >= 45 AND DateDiff(day, T1.LASTPURDAT,GETDATE()) < 90 THEN T0.ONHAND END '45 to 90 Days(Qty)'  , CASE WHEN DateDiff(day, T1.LASTPURDAT,GETDATE()) >= 45 AND DateDiff(day, T1.LASTPURDAT,GETDATE()) < 90 THEN T0.ONHAND*T0.AVGPRICE END '45 to 90 Days(Value)', CASE WHEN Datediff(day, T1.LASTPURDAT,GETDATE()) >= 90 THEN T0.ONHAND END '>90 Days(Qty)', CASE WHEN Datediff(day, T1.LASTPURDAT,GETDATE()) >= 90 THEN T0.ONHAND*T0.AVGPRICE END '>90 Days(Value)'
    FROM OITW T0 INNER JOIN OITM T1 ON T0.ITEMCODE = T1.ITEMCODE INNER JOIN OITB T2 ON T1.ITMSGRPCOD=T2.ITMSGRPCOD WHERE T0.ONHAND>0 AND T0.WhsCode ='[%0]'
    AND T2.ITMSGRPNAM = [%2]
Will continue to review the aging issue and maybe even update the forums with the results.
I can understand why in the query you've provided above its not really feaseable to have the Date of Purchase because its showing the stock quantity in total (which would make more sense instead of each item row by row)

  • Initial Uploading of Stock to MM

    Hi Experts,
I need to upload the initial stock as MM stock. When I tried with MType 561, it goes to WM (Warehouse Management) Stock. So, I do not want to upload the stock to WM. I need to upload to MM Stock. Your valuable inputs are solicited.

When you upload the stock, don't enter the storage location details (only maintain plant).
if you load stock, then you have to have a storage location, except it is special stock like stock at a subcontractor, or stock in a customer consignment.
    Shiva Ram wrote:
Or use the storage location that is NOT tied to a warehouse.
    > Regards,
    I agree to this statement.
However, if you have to load stock and your location is setup to be warehouse managed, then you should test the real case. What can you gain from a test load to MM only when you finally have to load to a warehouse managed location?
if you load with 561 into a warehouse managed location, then the stock goes to storage type 998. And from there you do a WM internal movement (create a TO) to move the material from 998 storage type to the final bins.
No need for an extra MM movement, this adds just complexity without any benefit.
Depending on the complexity of the warehouse you might be able to post it to the final bins directly with the MM movement, you just need a small customizing for the movement 561.
In any case the WM-TO to move from 998 storage type to final bin can be created as well with a load program

  • New Warehouses to be added to Items should be locked.

    Hi Mentors,
Our company is doing an upgrade from 2004B to 8.81 in the near future.
One pain point we currently have is when we add a new warehouse,  it defaults as unlocked(OITW.Locked = 'N') in all items. Thus we currenlty have to go to each item and mark the new warehouse as locked. This in particular is more like a business rule in our company, so it would be better to have it defaulted as locked, rather that having to use DTW to lock the warehouses per item.
Is there any particular way to to make such a setting?
    Thanks in advance!
    Sean

    Hi Rahul and gordon,
    Thanks for your replies.
@Gordon I also asked myelf this question why they ought to do this.
Doing a quick data profile on our old 2004 database, which currently has the "Auto Add All Warehouses to New Items", tells me
that our business definition of "Warehouse" inside B1 is
1.) The usual warehouse for stocking up Inventory Items that were puchased as well as produced/manufactured(Main).
2.) We have warehouses defined for each Food stall/Kiosk/Drink stand(Branches).
Most of the inventory items in the Main warehouses are not appliable to  the warehouses defined for the Branches.
The dilemma is when they have to define a new Main warehouse, almost Items in Item Master will have to be copied into the new Main warehouse. The "Auto Add All Warehouses to New Items" comes in handy for this.
The branch warehouses has a similar case. Branch warehouses have common items for sale on the counter. So again, the "Auto Add All Warehouses to New Items" helps.
Unfortunately, the items that needs to be added for the main and branch warehouses are a handful. This the conclusion I got why they opted not to add the warehouses to the Items one-by-one.
Should you have any ideas in how to handle such a situation, please do share them. I believe this is not just a system issue, but is also rooted with the people involved in entering/updating the data inside the system.
    Thanks!

  • WM Storage Location control problem - no TR created in receiving warehouse

    Hi all,
I have configured the system to perform a 311 mvt from sloc 4002 to sloc 0010. Both Slocs have different warehouse numbers assigned.
The transfer is working fine, however in the receiving warehouse no TR is being generated even though I am using the standard *** 311 movement type which has create TR flag set.
If I disable the config and perform the 311 in MIGO after confirming the TR in the sending warehouse, the stock is moved to the new warehouse and a TR is created.
    Has anyone experienced this before?
    Mark

    2nd entry in storage location control is ZF2 501 DE01 0010 311
    1st case:The entry.e. ZF2 501 DE01 0010 311  seems to be wrong.
Your warehouse storage location 0010 is managed with ZF4 and not ZF2.
But in this case, the way you created entries concludes that you want to transfer the stock from one Sloc to other Sloc which have separate warehouses.
i feel your approach to excute this scenario seems to be not a valid one. I don't understand why you are running this process as WM transaction followed by IM document. You said that you are creating the transfer order first.. must be with wm mvt 311 in LT01. Standard WM mvt 311 doesn't allows manual TO creation.Your both storage locations are assigned to different warehouses. You should post the movement in IM first, then follow the WM activities.
2nd case:If you say that ZF2 is correct, then your storage location is wrong, it should be  4002 instead of 0010  and you are transferring stock from one storage type to other storage within same warehouse.
If you want to do this scenarion as WM followed by IM, then please change the Wm mvt 311 in ZF2 to allow manual TO creation.
In movement type properties, set the destination storage type as 501.
    Strorage location control should be ZF2 501 DE01 4002 311
Please let me know your thoughts on this.

    Santosh

  • Reg: Negative Stock

    Hii,
How does negative stocks works in SAP, here in Material Master for a selected material in plant 1000 and SL 0001, i have checked on negative stock option in Plant/ Storage 2 view.
while issuing the stock in MIGO, it is not allowing and it is givng an error with deficit qty not allowed.
Can u pls guide me, how does it should make it work.
    Thanks
    Regards,
    Muralidharan

    Hi muralidharan ,
A negative stock occurs when you post a goods issue(GI) witha quantity that is larger than the book inventory.Negative stock balances may be required if,for organizational reasons, you enter goods issue before the coreesponding goods receipts, and the material is already physically located in the warehouse.Negative stocks always indicate that physical movments have to be entered in the system at the later stage.
So that you can work with negative stock inSAP system, you have to specifically allow this in customizing for the affected material. In Customizing for inventory mangerment, you will find the settings for negative stock under Goods issue/Transfer postings>Allow Negative stocks..The path for this is
    SPRO>Materials mangement>Inventory management and physical inventory>Goods issue/Transfer postings>Allow negative stocks
Negative stocks are allowed at valuation area level and storage location level. At plant level, you can set the special stocks for which negative stocks is allowed.
For example the special stocks for which negative stock is allowed are
    >Vendor consignment
    >Stock of material provided to vendor
    >Consignment stock at customer
    >Sales order stock
    >Project stock
    >Returnable packaging with customer
    >Returnable transport packaging
If you have negative stock for a material ,this is shown in the material master record on the accounting view, the plant stock view, and the storage location stock view. The negative stock is also displayed in the stock lists.
To determine for which materials you have negative stocks, use the warehouse stock for material report. From SAP Easy acess screen, choose Logistics>Materials management>Inventory management>Environment>Stock>Warehouse stock(MB52)
You can execute the selection, for example, for several materials for a storage location that allows negative stocks. So that only the materials with negative stocks are displayed, choose the Only display negative stocks indicator on the selection screen.
    Hope this will help you

  • Issue in stock category

    hi,
i am posting gr.po in migo for x- material as 10 quantity then TR is created automatically with stock category as "Q" after quality inspection once i put TO for that material the stock category as "Q" not as available stock . my requirement is whenever goods came it moved to qc then only it moved to warehouse. how to achive this flow.......because once i put gr the transfer requirement is created with stock category as "Q'. so if i proceed  this TO created with Q category.
    thanks
    muthuraman.D

    hi,
as per suggestion first one  soution i go for manual TR its working fine but one more issue arises. when i post gr/po in migo the stock  get increased in warehouse as stock category as 'q' with +ve quantity and _ve quantity looking for posting change TO and then i put manual TR -TO-confirmation  for purchase order stock moved destination bin  with stock category as unrestricted stock, but my problem is  stock in posting change quantity still there.
my requirment is once i post gr the stock never get updated in wm level. once i put manual tr-to  then only it should updated.....other wise two stock are updated one for manual TR and another for migo posting(waiting for posting change in interim area  with -ve and +ve quantity values)....how to avoid that....kindly explain..........

  • Warehouse Management for Third Party Logistic Company

    Dear All,
I need your input for the following scenarios:
    Company having 5 legal entities
One Legal entity ( X) is Mnaufacturing Cosmetics
    Legal entities ( A, B & C ) are the Distribution Companies
    5th legal entity ( Y ) is 3PL for the 3 Distribution Companies, A, B & C. Y has a warehouse which stocks the goods of the 3 distribution companies A, B and C. Inventory and goods still belongs to A, B & C
We need to implement warehouse management for Y ( 3 PL) company
Our proposition is to create warehouse structure which will address all the 3 legal entities ( A, B & C). So essentially the assumption is that warehouse is above the company code
We wanted to know the folloiwing:
1)If Y has to service all A, B and C at the same time and it needs to plan the routes for the deliveries created across the legal entities, how is this possible?
    2) How will this impact the shipment planning, pick pack and the shipment cost?
    Thanks in advance.

I would assume you have separate sales orgs and distribution channels for A, B and C.
But you would have to tie them together at a higher level may be at the comp code level and plan the supply chain from a higher level.
A good forecasting tool will help in distributing and managing inventory across the 3 different distribution companies.
There has to be some type of segregation of distribution between the 3 companies either at geographic level or by volume or something else. Otherwise it will be a real complex business planning and forecasting process if the 3 companies overlap in all aspects.
    Hope this helps.
    Good Luck.

  • Stock uploading in Warehousemanagement

    Hey all,
Some one help me in uploading Inventory Stock to Warehouse management stock -- 1st time.
    Regards
    Paramjit

it is still unclear if you have already stock in IM for some time and just want to add a WM,
Or if you just loaded the stock into IM and dont know how to process this further into the WM bins.
If your storage location is already assigned to a WM, then you get Transfer requests automatically when loading inventory in IM into that storage location (if proper customizing is done), then one needs to process these TR to move the materials into WM bins.
Alternativly it is possible to customize MM and WM in a way that the IM561 can directly  post into a WM bin, and will not create TRs at the same time.
but if you are already live with IM and just want add a WM, then you first have to decide if you create a new storage location that will be WM, or if you want keep the old storage location for WM.
A straight forward way is to create a new location and assign it to the WM. then you move stock from old to new location with IM311 movement, that will create the transfer request that will then be converted to Transfer orders to move the stock to the bins.
If you want the existing location be WM, then you create a new location, move the stock like above, then assign old location to WM, then you move the stock back, this will create the TR....etc etc.

  • Inventory - Unrestricted Use Stock

    Hi Friends !
At the BEx level. we restricted key figure to see the Unrestricted Use Stock
    Key Figure Name : TOTALSTCK
    0STOCKTYPE = A
    SPECIAL STOCK INDICATOR = #
    Current Output :
CALENDAR WEEK                       CALENDAR DAY                           UNRESTRICTED STOCK
    25/2011                                       06/22/2011                                         100
                                                        06/23/2011                                         100
    Expected Output:
CALENDAR WEEK                       CALENDAR DAY                           UNRESTRICTED STOCK
    25/2011                                       06/23/2011                                         100
But the data in the column are showing double values. Is this the value this inventory works? or any other issues? Any hint?
    With Regards
    Rekha

    Hi Arun,
my understanding is that for reversal and stock intransit you will have two types one is stock in transit from that warehouse and stock in transit to that warehouse. Accordingly you will have the values populated into either issues or receipts. And coming to BW if  you can notice that BW populates the cube with a special marker called process key indicator rather than movement type, it gets the moment type along with data and i would suggest the best way to reconcile your data is to always check in your cube by taking total of your receipts sock and issue stock( any stock type) and then subtract issue from receipt and compare with figure in r/3 (IF YOU ARE USING CUBE 0IC_C03) as you know this cube has non cumulative KF so i found thats the better way to get a considerable  reconciliation.
    Hope it helps!!!!!!
