Hi,
Today I did a blunder.
I had to apply the patch "121208-02 SunOS 5.10_x86: ld & libc.so.1 Patch" .
I downloaded it from www.sunsolve.sun.com.
It was downloaded to /tmp/patches and unziped. After this I entered the following command:
pkgadd -d /tmp/patches/121208-02
instead of
patchadd /tmp/patches/121208-02 121208-02
I answered to install all of the below packages when asked.

I agree, I was out of my mind, but please suggest a way to restore my system.

What about booting into single-user mode from network or cdrom, mount your root filesystem and then add the patch using patchadd -R?

Hello,
I have been trying to perform backup of my sun machine (with solaris 10 8/11) using Jumpstart server, but something went wrong.
Now I am trying to boot my machine but all i get is this message :

over and over again.
From another disk I set : auto-boot? = false so I can try to make fresh install from the cdrom and the message I get:

The file just loaded does not appear to be executable.
Although the cdrom was fine and bootable.

LabVIEW caught fatal signal - Segmentation fault

Hi,
I've just obtained the Linux version of LabVIEW 7.0 from my University for academic use on my home PC, and I am having some difficulty getting the program to run. I've installed all of the "labview70-*.rpm" files into "/opt" using the "bin/INSTALL.norpm" from the CD (I am running Gentoo and don't have RPM support).
When I try to run the program (cd /opt/lv70, ./labview), I get the splash screen, which says "Init temp resources file" in the bottom right corner. This stays on screen for about a minute, during which time, my RAM usage gradually goes very high, followed by my SWAP usage when the available RAM runs out (256MB RAM, 500MB SWAP). This happens regardless of whether I'm logged in as a normal user or as r
oot.
The splash screen eventually disappears and the following message is printed at the terminal:

I have checked the FAQs and knowledge base but can't seem to find anything that sounds similar to what is happening on my machine.

Hey Martin,
This is a new one for me. Try replaying your INSTALL and bin/INSTALL.norpm files with the one's that I've attached. They work well on my Debian machine (no rpm). That way you can run "./INSTALL" instead of INSTALL.norpm (which was only meant to be a helper app, not a primary method for installation.)
As you probably know, reproducing a gentoo issue may be difficult because of the extreme customization. Is there anything uncommon that you might be doing? (using a locale other than C or POSIX, using a different threading library, etc.)

I am running the LabVIEW HTTP-server on a Linux server. When the traffic is to high LabVIEW crashes and I get the following error:

hi, I have installed Labview 7 on Fedora Core 5 and it rans well untill yesterday, when I start labview, after the welcome picture, nothing more.
So I typed the command ``labview" at the shell prompt. Then the shell response me:

Yes, I tried it. We have this problem at beginning and we correct it
but it is not the same one because without this realease you can't

SIGBUS is a bus error, meaning that your code is attempting to access an invalid address in memory. Most likely your linked list has a bad pointer in it that the code is trying to dereference. I'm not sure if a null pointer would cause a bus error but if your pointer contained garbage - due to not being properly initialized or due to being overwritten by bad data it certainly could.

How can I issue a warning if user exits without saving data first?

One of our clients has his users fill the LC Designer PDFs on their web site. They request that the users get a “Do you really want to exit?” warning, if they navigate away from the form, after having made changes to it. I was able to simulate the AcroScript “Dirty” state by comparing the xfa.data.saveXML with the original document content. My problem is that I can’t seem to be able to issue the warning in time for the user to do something about it. I tried to use the DocClose event, but (as described in the documentation) there is no way for the user to go back to the document.

First you need to make sure that you have setup the machine with a valid app store account to tie the machine to the server OS. To boot the MacMini so you can do RAID setup you must boot into recovery mode. Hold down Command+R and power up. Enter disk utility go through the steps to create the RAID which will erase everything on the HD. You need to make sure the build gets completed. Once done reboot into recovery mode again and you can do a OS install. If I remember correctly this will just install the base OS. Once you have setup the machine again with the valid app store account the server app will show up in the app store for you to download.
Of course if you don't want to rebuild everything you can hook up a USB harddrive and turn on time machine. Makle sure it completes and you have several restore points. Go through the RAID build process. Once complete boot into recovery mode, with the USB drive attached, and you will have an option to restore from a time machine backup.

Is there a way to get firefox to warn me when exiting with multiple windows open?

When I click File > Exit in the menu, I want firefox to warn me if I have multiple windows open.
I don't want it to warn me about multiple tabs though.
Is there a way to get it to do that?
I would prefer to just hit the red X in the top right corner, which would avoid this problem, However, if it is the only firefox window I have open, then the red X will often not properly shut down firefox exe, so next time I try to launch firefox it won't work and I have to end task on firefox exe! I was told to use File Exit to improve the chances that firefox will properly close, but doing so introduces this new issue.

That doesn't work.
Once I set it to true, if I have one window open with multiple tabs, and try to exit, it comes up with a warning box, which I don't want.
Then if I check it to say 'don't show this again', the next time I run firefox the showQuitwarning setting has been set back to false. So then when I have multiple windows open and I file exit, all firefox shuts down with no warning.
The reason I want this is because I can *see* the tabs of the window I am in when I am clicking on file|exit, so visually, I'm not going to close anything that I didn't mean to close because it's right there visible to me at the top of the screen (the tabs are seen at the top of the screen) in the same area as where I am looking at and clicking File Exit.
But other firefox windows are not visible up there so it is easy to forget that they are open, since a lot of times I don't have any other windows open (if I *always* had other windows open then I would not forget them and be in more of a practice of checking the taskbar for them)
And this is all because I can't hit the red X in the top right corner without increasing the odds of hung firefox processes that don't truly exit (thus making me unable to start another session later without Ending Task which isn't good).
The hanging is daily but random and not reproducible, so it's very difficult to troubleshoot or fix.

I've created klass Y0108MM_Z1 and message 000 in it.
When i display as error message -> message e000(Y0108MM_Z1).
everything is fine.
but when use message w000(Y0108MM_Z1) it doesn't apear.

I think message will appear.
For testing please do from the main screen press Alt+F12 > options> options tab --> check " dialog box at warning message " and test your scenrio.
Here warning message appear in a dialog box.

My program works well without the '-g' option, however, when it compiled with debug mode, it will return singal 11 fatal error.

I have only one window open, and get a warning when I exit that "You are about to close multiple tabs."

I have Firefox 8 for Vista, and according to the "About" screen, Firefox is up to date. I heard this might be a problem with my plugins, so I updated them all. Still a problem. I disabled all my plugins and add-ons and still got the message.

ONLY 8 people have this problem?
Look, virtually all Mozilla's potential users are coming from Internet Exploder, which gets this ALMOST RIGHT, while FireF*x does it totally wrong. Including in webmail: there's no way I could have got to this forum without leaving 4 windows active or closing everything, including closing my mail without logging out.
ONLY 8 PEOPLE? How many thousand simply throw up their hands & uninstall yr f- nurdware over this one single issue? Not to bore you with details, but I'm hardly unsympathetic to open sources that don't look like the best argument for Micros**t and Google hegemony.
Btw, I said they get it -almost- right... It would be really nice if IE or >somebody< offered a checkbox to NEVER close multiple tabs. Look, if this bug disguised as a feature is useful to a few nurds by all means keep it as an advanced option, but PLEASE set up FireFox so it at least defaults to the real world.

Using a Toshiba AT300SE-101 v4.1.1 (with others tablets it works ok), and a simple app, the app dies with a [error|http://pastebin.com/DUG1YVJq].

Exit/BTE for tx F110 (SAPF110S), Automatic Payments (field XREF3)

I have been searching for a long time the posts in the forums regarding similar issues, but I can not find a suitable solution.
The problem is:
It's needed to fill one field of the payment document (BSEG-XREF3) created by tx F110, with the value coming from the original document (REGUP-XREF3) that is processed by F110 (SAPF110S).
I can not find a BTE / exit that: 1) Could be reached during F110 execution and 2) contains data from both documents, or something similar that could allow me to gather the data from both documents.
Let me say that I'm very AWARE of the fact that SAPF110S schedules and executes all this processes in background; I am debugging it using the okcode JDBG in tx SM37. In fact, I can "reach" and debugg another BTE already in use (BTE process 1120, FI document creation), when the payment document is created. This one could be suitable to pass the value to the payment document that is to be created.
The other BTE only reached is BTE process 1830, but this one is only executed during proposal creation, and although I get access to REGUP values, the only possibility is to save the value with SET/GET parameters statement, in order to pass the value in memory for the next execution of F110, but this approach is not good at all.
Any ideas? Somebody has resolved something similar?
(In forums, a lot of people talks abouts exits or BTEs that they has never used before).
I have tested various of the user-exits that came across searching in the forums, and the BADI FI_F110_SCHEDULE_JOB, but:
-No one of the u-exits works, and
-The BADI is not suitable for solving the problem.

I haven't tried substitutions-GGB1, I just used it one time, a long time ago, just to validate and substitute one value according to a Z table field.
But, I am not sure, may be because I am not used to use this tool, but I can not figure out how to "get" the data of both documents at the same time and perform the changes, using this tool.
For example, if you check the BTE - "Interface" 1025, this one could be an excellent solution, because I tested it, it is triggered, and it gives access to the needed data and structures to accoplish the requested task.
But, it isn't suitable, due to the fact that this BTE-interface-1025 is P&S, so, it is not intended for perform changes to the FI documents. That is way I am looking for a BTE-Process, like the one associated to event 1120.
Even, BTE-"Process"-1640, looks like the right one according to its documentation, but unfortunately it isn't triggered, I don't know why (like all of my tests, I copied the FM, and entered the corresponding entry, with active product, using tx FIBF).
Have you used substitutions-GGB1 to solve the same problem with F110-Payment Program? Please, let me know how, if it is the case.

Init 0 or shutdown -i0 on solaris 8 automatically reboots

I have a solaris 8 server and when I issue init 0 or shutdown -i0 it automatically reboots. I was able to issue init 5 and it shutdown/power down, but not init 0.
I looked at inittab and it shows
s0:0:wait:/sbin/rc0 >/dev/msglog 2<>/dev/msglog </dev/console
Any suggestions?

Thank you. I have 2 SunFire v440s. Both have auto-boot?true and I only have this problem with one of them. I was able to issue init 5 and the server shut down, but both init 0 or shutdown -i0 rebooted.
Unfortunately the server with the problem is remote so I can't do allot of testing with it.

Dam thing will only load once. if i exit firefox i have to restart computer in order to open firefox again.this only started after upgrading. help?

can only open firefox once per session. if i exit fox i have to reboot to open fox again. explorer works fine every time!!!!!!!
