Warranty - Headphones

I bought my ipod nano less than a month ago. I haven't got a scratch on it, as I have been extremely careful with it after reading all the problems people have had so far.
However this morning I noticed my earphones are not working properly. The left side has a terrible sound and then finally it went mute. So basically I can only hear my ipod from the right earphone. I am so frustrated. Is there any warranty??

Just ring the Apple customer care number for your country. My nano earphones were also faulty, the right one was twice as loud as the left one which was rather distracting. It took about 10 days for the new one's to arrive but the stupid muppets sent me the wrong earphones, they sent me one's that are sold with the full sized ipods not the earphones which come with the nano!.

Hello. I sent my WRT1900AC V1 to Linksys four days ago (Monday) via UPS with a RMA. Linksys paid the shipping and everything. The router is still in route, and it should arrive to their offices tomorrow. Once they receive the WRT1900 AC V1, they are going to send me an EA8500 as a replacement. But I have been reading the comments about the EA8500 here in the forum and it seems to have the same problems. I guess the firmware is extremely flawed in both routers (maybe it is almost the same code?). Anyway, I will try the EA8500 and I hope it works. I bought a temporary router from Walmart and I paid $35 for it. It is a Belink N600 DB. I can't believe that a $35 router is working a lot, lot, lot better than my previous $250 WRT1900AC router. Unbelievable. If the EA8500 doesn't work, I'm going to try and get my money back from Linksys, or contact The Consumerist or someone to get my money back and get a Nighthawk instead.

  • Headphone warranty question

When requesting service for headphone replacement, do I need to sent both my Iphone and headphones to UPS or just the phone?

You take the machine to get repaired at http://www.apple.com/uk/buy/ locations which are authorized service centers. If you are planning on selling the machine, be sure to follow these tips I've written up:
    http://www.macmaps.com/selling.html
In some cases, there are some repair shops which do work for less than Apple that have a good reputation:
    http://www.dttservice.com/
    http://www.powerbookresq.com/
    http://www.microdocusa.com/
    http://www.macspecialist.com/
    http://www.techrestore.com/
Some of these will repair machines from the U.K. as well.
Also note, if your machine is under 1 year old, it is still under a hardware warranty. If you had bought AppleCare, you might still have coverage on your hardware for 3 years from the date you purchased your computer, but you would have had to buy it in the first year to get that coverage. Many of these questions can be answered by AppleCare representatives. Now if the damage was caused because you dropped the machine, normally that is not something covered, or obviously damaged yourself. That's when you have to pay out of pocket for the parts and labor yourself even if it is under AppleCare. AppleCare usually makes the final determination of whether or not it is something they can cover. So I suggest calling them at least to see what the cost will be.

  • Does the warranty cover the headphones that comes with it ?

so does it ? Because mine just sound REALLY, REALLY bad when its at full blast and me loving loud music (rock), i always put it at near full blast. so do you guys think i can return headphones and get a replacement ? its only been less than a month.

Yes, they are covered under warranty but you ARE gonna damage your ears at full blast.
    Just ask Pete Townshend...

    If not under warranty,
Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for $199 for 64 GB 4G and $99 for the other 4Gs. They do not fix yours.

  • HT1688 i took my phone to get replaced under the warranty but i didnt get the charger or the headphones was i supposed to?

My phone's power button was stuck and had to take it in to get it replaced under the warranty, but i didnt get a charger for it or the headphones that come with the new phone, was i supposed to get something?

If you paid extra, you didn't get it replaced under the warranty. That would indicate an out of warranty replacement, given when Apple reckon the damage was not due to a manufacturing defect.

  • If my ipod touch 5th generation headphone port is no longer repairable then will apple repair it for me, and for what cost if the warranty has not ended yet.

    - Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store and find out if it is covered by the warranty. Sometimes/frequenlty your damage is cased by abuse.operator error/accidental damage which is not covered by the warranty.

  • Only one headphone works & warranty

my ipod nano only plays music through one of the speakers of my headphones. Someone else in this forum had a similar problem and was advised to send the ipod back to apple.
My Ipod was bought less than a year ago and therfor should still be under warranty. i dont have the reciept though because I bought the ipod on the internet from the apple refurbished store.
    does my warranty still work?
(wanted to ask that before i get it repaired for a huge amount of money)

Make use of what is bad.
Try the headphones on another device and try another set of headphones with the iPod.
i dont have the reciept though because I bought the ipod on the internet from the apple refurbished store.
You received one via email and also with the iPod when you received it.
Go here -> Apple - Support
and look at the bottom left for *About Your Support Coverage*.
Input your serial number to check the warranty status.

  • In-Ear Headphones Warranty Question

My non-Apple headphones are dead - a wire is probably loose at the connector (most common problem I have with headphones).
I'm probably going to purchase the Apple In-Ear headphones. Does it come with a one-year warranty?
If the cord or connector goes bad will I be able to get it replaced at an Apple Store while under warranty even if I purchase it at another authorized reseller - or, must I purchase it at an Apple Store to get it serviced/replaced there?

    Yes, they are.
You either contact Apple Support, or go to an Apple Retail Store.

  • In-Ear Headphones Warranty?

How do I get Apple to honor the warranty that came with my original in-ear headphones. I have bought 2 sets and both have stopped working. There is no online repair request form. When I call Apple support or the Apple store they keeps asking about my iPod and they don't understand that I'm calling about "headphones" I bought separately. It's like they don't even know Apple makes in-ear headphones. I have not been able to contact anyone through email as well.
Please help. Has anyone had their warranty honored?

I was wondering to same thing. I bought a pair and mine are falling appart. The apple site gives no information on how to contact them for that reason. Their service is horrible. It's exactly how you said, it doesn't seem like they even know they make them. I would also like some help from anyone who has any. Maybe I will just have to take mine to the store.
    Please help, thanks.

  • HT1688 Is the headphone also covered in warranty? The audio is not working on one of the channels alone.

My headphone stopped working properly on one of the channels. It came along with my iPhone4S bought about 5 months back. My question, Is my headphone also covered under 1 year warranty. Has anyone had similar problems and got their unit replaced?
    Regards,
    Sam

Yes. It's covered under the warranty.

  • Will the Apple Headphones be covered under the warranty?

    Hey,
My left ear bud keeps buzzing. Will it be covered under the warranty? I got my iPod Touch 2 weeks ago and I really don't want to buy new apple headphones. Please help I don't have a JOB and my parents are cheap! And I don't want to call apple for nothing! So are the headphones covered or am I 'SOL'?

They are covered by your warranty.
You can either stop by an Apple Store Genius Bar http://www.apple.com/retail/geniusbar/
Or you can order a replacement online http://www.apple.com/support/serviceassistant/overview.html
