Warranty return order type availabilty check issue

Hi,
I am using a special order type (ZZZ) in SD for the warranty returns. When I create the order type ZZZ I assign an order number and the items to be return.
Issue:
For the items that in the original order where confirmed by a RBA Check logic, I am having problems with the ZZZ order type. For example:
Original order
Product A  10 PC order - I got 5 of B and 5 of C confirmed (product substituions)
Order ZZZ
When I select the order and item above I got 10 PC of product A confirmed; and B and C nothing confirmed.
Note: Order ZZZ should work as the original one. What can be wrong?
Thanks a lot.

Hello,
Usually ATP check is disabled for returns order and hence whatever quantity is enterd in order will usually get confirmed since ATP check cannot happen at customer level. You can verify this with item categories and scheduline categories for ZZZ order type.
If ATP check is enabled then it there may be some change in scope of check for these orders.(user exits).

  • Set up the output GR slip for RE (customer return) Order Type

    Dear Experts,
I need to set up the output GR slip for RE (customer return) Order Type
Kindly let me know how can I do this in SAP
    Regards
    Shetty

    Hi,
As I understand your question, you need to set up an output type for printing Goods Receipt in Sales Order (RE) - perhaps when the RE order is saved. For this, you can follow the following steps. Also you need to take the help of an ABAPer to develop a form which prints as per your requirement.
For configuring the output, follow the steps
    a. Go to SPRO>Sales and Distribution > Basic Function > Output Control > Define Output type.
    b. Create a new output type (Eg: ZTRE)
    c. Create a new Access Sequence and put in the required condition tables... The Key combination may be Document Type / Customer or Document Type /  Sales Orgnaization / Distribution Channel. etc.
    d. Assign the access sequence to the new output type.
    e. Create a new ouput procedure and assign new output type to it.
    f. Assign this new output procedure to the document type.
    g. In Tcode: VV11 maintain the condition record for Output type ZTRE.
When the output type is created, a form and a program needs to be assigned to it so that the requirement of GR slip gets printed. You have to take the ABAper's help for the same. You have to mention the fields which have to be printed on the GR Slip. You can do the same for delivery document as well.
Else you can go to Tcode: NACE to do the same configuration. You have to select V1 for Sales documents.
    Hope this answeres your question

  • BOM explosion for credit memo req, free of charge, returns order types

    Hi Gurus,
My client has the following requirement.Sales BOM with header pricing has to be configured for standard order, free of charge, credit memo req, debit memo req, returs order types. I have configured the BOM for standard order(ZOR) successfully, but for credit memo request and other orders its not picking correctly. The component items for the BOM structure is repeating twice.Pleae let me know how to maintain item category determination for credit memo request and other order types.
For credit memo req  I have created new item category by copying the G2N and updated the structure scope as A and application SD01.so the new item category is ZG2B and I have maintained the below mentioned determination.
    ZCR ERLA  ZG2B
    ZCR ERLA ZG2B G2N
    ZCR NORM ZG2B G2N
    Regards,
    Hari Challa.

    Hi,
    That is incorrect.
For sales order, you shoudl have used item category groups as ERLA, LUMF respectively. The resultant item categories will be TAP/TAQ etc. The same kind of configuration should be enabled for Credit memos and others also.
There the item category group will be ERLA, or LUMF
The document type will be CR / RE etc based on the process
Now the resultant item category should be TAP/TAQ or you can even have RENN etc but the property of this IC should be same as TAP/TAQ based on what you are expecting, apart from the standard configurations of a return process. If you do this, then your pricing and items will come up properly.
In specific, you have to look at the BOM configuration of the Item category in the BOM area.
If you need any detail, pls let us know.

  • Returns order type settings

    Hi,
    Can anybody please guide-
How the setings for returns (for free goods) be changed so that return delivery will not need to show up in vf04 for billing.
    Points will surely be rewarded.
    Regards

    Hi Mrunal,
You maintain the copy control settings between Return order and the return delivery.
Don't maintain the copy control settings bet ween return delivery and the billing document.
You set not relevance for the billing in the return order item category in VOV7 transaction.
I hope it will help you,

  • Which table could let me check sales order type when giving dlv order info

    Hi,
Suppose you got the delivery order detail like delivery number#,dlv type...etc...
From which table link could we find the corresponding sales order type???
Is there any table indicate the document flow, and with that then i could find the sales order type for this dlv order???
    Thank you very much!!

    Hi Ram,
Could kindly indicate which field could link LIKP and VBAK directly..Thank you very much...
Maybe below way is not the fast way...
    1)     Get sales order number with dlv# by checking document flow table VBFA.
    2)     Get Sales order type by checking tbl VBAK with sales order number.

  • Several Return orders with Ref. to one MTO Billing Document.

    Hi,
I am doing RE with ref. to MTO Billing Document but i am able to issue "N" number of credit memo's with ref. to same MTO.
Please tell me the Controll, that stops raising the second RE order with ref. to same MTO.
I checked copy controls completion rule in Item catagory but still the problem not solved.
    Waiting for reply
    Veera.

    Dear Veera,
The issue is related to the copy control settings only , so you go to VTAF transaction then go in to the item details of your return order type and MTO Billing document type.
Here you can find the field positive/negative quantity you maintain that as '-' negative.
    Now you try
I hope it will help you

  • How to create a Return Order from a Quality Notification?

    Hi everyone at SDN.
Really need some help on this issue we are having. We want to create a Return Order from a Quality Notification, ie. the document flow should be:
    :: Serv. notif 000200000482
       :: Return Order 0060299453
In the SAPGUI we are able to do this by going into transaction QN02, enter the notification number and in the menu: "Notification" --> "Functions" --> "Sales Order" --> "Create Selection of Order Type". Now we select the Return Order type and the result is as wanted.
However, we want to do all this in ABAP instead. The BAPI I have tried with is BAPI_CUSTOMERRETURN_CREATE.
And the following code is used:
        ls_order_h_in-refobjtype = 'BUS2078'. "Quality Notification
        ls_order_h_in-refdoctype = 'Z5'. "Quality Notification type
        ls_order_h_in-refobjkey = '000200000482'. "Ref. Quality Notification
ls_order_h_in-doc_type = 'ZREN'. "Return Order type
        ls_order_h_in-sales_org = 'S001'.
        ls_order_h_in-distr_chan = '01'.
        ls_order_h_in-division = '01'.
Then I add a material as well as the mandatory partner functions. When I execute the Return Order is created but when I check the document flow for the Return Order there is no link to the Quality Notification.
Any suggestions on how to do this? I have tried using FM RV_DOCUMENT_FLOW_UPDATE_U for updating the document flow but it doesn't seem to like it when I enter a Notification in there. And when I run FM RV_ORDER_FLOW_INFORMATION for the above (working) Return Order there is no Quality Notification available. So this leads me to believe that I have to update something else then VBFA (Sales Document Flow)...
I would really appreciate all the help I can get on this.
    Best Regards
    Niklas

  • Return Order output email send to Creator as PDF

    Hi All,
Please let me know, how to configure Return sales order output as email send to creator(end user).
Business don't want to send it to customer, They need it in their mailbox as PDF and later they will send it to customer when ever they wants...
Please provide some solution on this issue.
    Regards,
    Sathiesh pillai.

    Hi,
You need to configure the output determination for return order type. The "Internal Output (MAIL)" output type can be used. For sending PDF copy to user himself, the user data should be maintained as "mail partner".
From what i read from your question, you want to send PDF file to user who logged into system to create return order. If yes, then the program need to pick user-id who logged into the system and use his/her email id as communication for sending PDF file. For this, minor code changes will be required to make mail partner defaulted to end-user and not look at customer account partners of the return order.
If user going to be same for every return order, then you may use TVARVC variant table to store his/her email id and check that table while sending email.
    regards,
    Vaibhav

  • Considerations for setting up Return Order for Discontinued Product

What are your thoughts on implementing a process to allow discontinued materials on return orders for product repairs? Some considerations we have encountered are below; please reply if you have thoughts on any/all:
--  how to allow the discontinued product on a return order but not on a regular sales order (we were thinking one option would be to customize listing/exclusion table functionality to include sales order type and set up condition records that include just the return order type + customer + material combination?)
-- how to allow the discontinued product to be restricted to just the customer who is returning the material (listing/exclusion sounds like the way to go here)
-- how to properly discontinue a product that might come back for warranty repairs (ie, should it be a certain material master flag rather than the flag for deletion in a plant?)
-- if returns come back to a different plant (even a virtual one), would that make any of this easier, especially wrt flagging for deletion?
    Thanks and regards.

    Hi,
how to allow the discontinued product on a return order but not on a regular sales order (we were thinking one option would be to customize listing/exclusion table functionality to include sales order type and set up condition records that include just the return order type + customer + material combination?)
how to allow the discontinued product to be restricted to just the customer who is returning the material (listing/exclusion sounds like the way to go here).
For both of the above, you can use user exit USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT_PREPARE (program MV45AFZZ).
how to properly discontinue a product that might come back for warranty repairs (ie, should it be a certain material master flag rather than the flag for deletion in a plant?)
    - When the product is received in the plant/warehouse, put the quantity in blocked stock. Check with MM/IM, on disposing the stock (write-off) at regular intervals
if returns come back to a different plant (even a virtual one), would that make any of this easier, especially wrt flagging for deletion?
Yes that can be an option. Alternatively you can create a storage location (virtual) in plant, and you can write off the inventory. Creation of storage location is easier than creation of plant in the system

  • Transfer of Requirements for Return Orders

    Hi,
Please I need  help on TOR management with Return Orders in SD.
I've already red  all the threads realted to TOR and ATP but I couldn't find a solution. As we know TOR is dependent on the following data: reqts type, reqts class, checking group and schedule line category.
The reqts type and class are determined in the strategy group (material master - MRP3).
Now if I switch on Transfer of Requirements for Returns, at Schedule Line level and Reqts Class level, the result is that I can see requirements related to Returns in the availability check overview of Sales Orders (ATP count) but if I check in the requirements list (i.e. transaction MD04) these requirements related to Returns are not recorded. Why?
And also another point please: requirements generated from Return Orders, into ATP count are considered as normal Sales Orders (negative sign, reducing ATP quantity, when it should be the contrary because a goods receipt is expected).
Can you help me please on these 2 points (perhaps something related with Sales Document Category)?
    Thank you very much
    Kind Regards
    AP

I practically did a sample order / returns order to see your requirements and these are my observations
    a)
If you create a standard sales order, then the availability check registers a minus sign with stock required in Rec./reqd qty field.
Once you save the sales order, this is not seen again as the total quantity is reduced by sales order quantity.
It was indicating a minus sign when you created a returns order because you checked the Transfer of requirements and availability check indicators in schedule line category.
It was simulating a requirement as you checked the indicators in schedule line category.
If you create returns order with standard DN (i.e. Transfer of requirements and availability check indicators are not checked), then you would not see any requirement for stock i.e. you don't see any new entry in availability overview screen.
    b)
You are not seeing returned quantities in MD04 because of Movement types. This has nothing to do with Transfer of requirements.
Schedule line DN uses movement type 651.
Using movement type 651, you post returns from a customer with returns delivery to blocked stock returns.
The blocked stock returns are are neither valuated nor part of "unrestricted-use" stock.
Hence you are not seeing the returned stock in your available stock.
If you click the magnifying glass on total stock i.e. top line of your stock/requirements list (transaction MD04), you could see the returned quantity in 'Returns field'.
If you want to post returns from a customer with returns delivery directly to the valuated stock, you could use the following movement types in schedule line category.
653 Returns from customer to unrestricted-use stock
655 Returns from customer to stock in quality inspection
With these movement types, you could see returned quantities in stock/requirements list.

  • Return Order incomplete because of missing address indicator (VBPA-ADRDA)

    Hello,
Using the VA02 to create a subsequent retun order results in a complete return order created. However, when I use BAPI BAPI_CUSTOMERRETURN_CREATE to create the return order, the incompletion log identifies a missing address indicator   (VBPA-ADRDA) for the ship-to party. Both sold to and ship to party are defined as one time customers. Looking at the entries in table VBPA the problematic customer holds 'D' as the address indicator value while the other customer holds 'E' as the missing address value.
What could be the reason for the missing address indicator for that specific customer while creation works fine using the subsequent retun order creation?
    Thanks in advance, Ziv.

1: You took care of the copy controls.
2: Whats the item category you are using in your return order. Please mark that item category as not relevant for pricing. Uncehck the pricing field in VOV7 for this item category. Also check the incompletion procedure to make sure "pricing" is not an entry.
3: Please check the pricing procedure you are using for the return order type, uncheck any "Mandatory " pricing conditions.
4: In the pricing procedure determination OVKK, please check you have the required entry for the return pricing procedure.
Please test with these changes and see the results,
    Regards
    Sai

  • Billing date for return orders

    Hi,
when creating return order (RE), without reference to any SD document, the billing date is default as current date.
But, when I create the return order, with reference to a billing document, the billing date is scheduled, based on the lead times etc..
I want to have it default as current date, with reference or not.. where/how is this configured?
    Thanks,

Check in VOV8 for your return order type where there is a field to propose billing date.

  • How to exclude sales office for combination sales order type/division?

    Hi experts,
I would appreciate if you could advise: How to exclude sales office for combination sales order type/division in ECC 6.0 ?

    Hi
Standard SAP functionality would not be able to cater to this. Ideally create a Z table with sales order type and sales office combination. Put in entries for combinations that are allowed. In Sales order program MV45AFZZ use the exit USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_VBAK. In this exit write down the logic passing the sales office determined and the order type and check if the entry is there or not. If the entry is there then it should go on to the next step. If it does not then pass an error message. You need to use the help of your ABAP er for this.
    Thanks
