I checked the "contact us" link and it took me in so many circles I got dizzy. I never got a place to "contact YOU". I have been producing videos for over 4 years and have been using Videostudio for 3 of those years. A friend of mine uses Adobe Effects PE and I thought I would download it and give it a spin. I thought your 30 day trial was a fully fictunal working version as stated, but when I started a project I saw a watermark (that is NOT a fully working version that is a "colored" statement) So I thought I would research it and found that you DO NOT offer a fully working 30 day trial. When I first wanted to try Videostudio I downlaoded their 30 day trial and was impressed. You see Corel really did give me a 30 day trial, no watermark, no nothing. Granted after 30 days it would no longer function, but they allowed me as a customer to try a FULLY working version. So I bought it that year, the next and the next. When I saw my firend using AEPE I thought it looks impressive so after seeing that you offered a FULLY working 30 day trial I thought hay I can see what a finished project looks like, but alas the statement was incorrect, a watermark. Before I saw the watermark I was considering that if this one project worked out I would pay the small fee and finish a wedding I am working on. But that watermark does not allow me to try before I buy a fully working version. Point is I will now uninstall this application and never buy it and I will never suggest anyone buy it. I may just give a copy of Videostudio to my firend and encourage him to quit using this. Why? Because what you stated and what I saw were not the same. I made my choice to buy Videostudio because they really did mean what they stated and they know their product is so good that they trust a FULLY WORKING 30 day trial in the hands of their customers.
Nevertheless, I will not buy this and I will uninstall it.
Just to note I never carried out my 30 days with Videostudio, I bought only after 5 days of install and playing with it. In fact all software that I get to try before I buy I have never carried out the whole trial period. This is a huge let down and, well I have said enough, off my soap box I step.

I had the same problem and was able to fix it. Go to your iTunes and click on the Tones folder on the left under library. Some of my ring tones had an exclamation mark next to it and those were the ones that did not sync. You have to click on those and find it in your computer. Once the exclamation mark is gone, go to Tones section of your device in iTunes, make sure you select the tones you want synced, and click apply. I hope that helps you!

My daughter lost (or possibly was stolen) her I pod touch

My daughter lost (or possibly was stolen) her ipod Touch (4th gen I believe) We've done everything to retrieve it but can's seem to locate it. I've ordered a new one, what is the easiest way to get her previous paid apps on the new ipod (also a 4th gen) I have the original case to the old one so I know the SN (not sure that's helpful or not) I have the find my ipod app but unless it hooks to the web i'm guessing that's not very helpful.
What I want to do is just get the paid apps from the old ipod to the new one. I'm not that swift with itunes but I'm guessing there must be a way to transfer them. Can anyone give me some pointers on how to do this?

Sorry for your wait. Okay so let's try re-connecting with iTunes on your computer and syncing your device. This may give you all your stuff back. Sync in Music tab.

I am interpreting that to say that the detail panel is missing your develop module. If that is the case, right-click on one of the other panel headings and make sure there is a checkmark for detail.

Is it possible customizing UME?

Hi All,
I'd like of customizing the User Management Engine "UME", Is it possible? It's customizing is in level of code, for example, we want that when a user access UME, check the existence in AD (LDAP) and then it'd search in R/3 (through function ABAP) data of user how "address, first name, etc". This is one example, much more customizing will happen in level of code.
Has someone any idea if this is normal?

Hi Eduardo,
I don't think it's possible to customize UME (w/o extensive programming) to answer your particular requirements but there is an option to activate additional parameters for UME engine that you can use for example to implement SSO solution between AD (LDAP) and SAP user master source. You will need to change ume.admin.addattrs parameter and UME configuration file to activate Customized information tab in your UME. Not sure if you can use similar approach.

Your Customer Service is atrocious and lost you a customer

You just lost a prospective new customer. Get some new customer service reps. {edited for privacy}

Dial 800-922-0204 or *611 from the handset. Choose option 4 (I believe) for "Other options" - then SAY "Speak to an agent" or Speak to a representative" - you should be connected to a human being in a few minutes....

Package Lost/Stolen, Customer Service Reps unhelpful

Ok, long story short this is what happened:
March 19 - Place an online order to be delivered at my home the next day.
March 20 - UPS tracking number shows package has been delivered with a note "Left on Porch". However my package is nowhere to be found. I checked with my neighbors and they know nothing about it. So either UPS lost it, or someone followed the truck and swiped it off my doorstep.
March 21 - Contact BestBuy.com online customer service, explaining my predicament, and a rep named "Patrice" replies saying to wait at least 24 hours before anything can be done.
March 23 - A UPS rep called me and verified that I in-fact did not receive my package. This must be when BestBuy initated its tracer.
March 24 - I follow up with BestBuy and a rep named "Carimfe" says to allow 5-8 business days for UPS to finish their investigation, and in the even that my package is not found, it would take BestBuy another 3-5 days to process a refund.
April 3 - I follow up again with BestBuy, and they are only apologetic, but not very helpful. I receive an email reply on
April 6 - and a rep by the name of "Yvonne" blankly responds with essentially: "I have contacted UPS and they have confirmed it was delivered to your address" Great. That's REAL helpful. It's like we took 5 steps back and are starting this all over again.
I am trying to be patient with BestBuy, but seriously, are these reps even following our email conversations? I've been replied to by 4 different reps, one of which I haven't mentioned since that rep basically told me nothing useful.
I contacted UPS and they turned me around and basically said "talk to BestBuy, they are the shipper and are the ones responsible for initiating any claims" and so we're back at Square one.
I really don't have time to call BestBuy, I work at a hospital and I am not home during the day. And I also want to have all correspondence written so as to provide some sort of evidence for future use.
I really, really, really don't want to have to call my CC provider and issue a chargeback as that's another bunch of hoops to jump through.
This is my last attempt at obtaining some type of resolution from BestBuy, so I hope you folk are more helpful than some of the reps that I have been emailing.

This claim can take up to 8 days to conclude, and once they contact us with their findings, we should be connecting with you to discuss our next steps. After reading through the notes associated with your Best Buy account and the order number in question, it seems UPS made the determination that the item was successfully delivered to your home. As such, we’d be unable to provide you a refund or a reshipment of your order as requested.
I recognize this may not be the outcome you were hoping for; however, you may still have options available to you. If you believe the item was stolen from your porch, I’d suggest contacting your local authorities to file a police report. Additionally, your issuing bank may be able to provide further assistance from here.

Photoshop CC 2014 has lost all my custom settings, all my batch actions, all my custom desktops. Can't I import them from previous PSCC, or do I have to create everything over again?

Photoshop CC2014 has just been installed earlier today, and it won't access all of my custom settings from the previous PSCC. I constantly use Batch Actions, always work in custom workspaces, and they're all gone. I can't find an option to retrieve them from the previous version, which seems ridiculous. It will take at least a full day's work to recreate this stuff that's sitting right there in the previous version. Isn't there someway to "update" the new version with my custom batches and workspaces at least?

The terms you used, "user library" and "c drive" are from Mac and PC architectures respectively. Read the information at the link I posted more carefully - there are different sections for Mac and PC.
Keep in mind the AppData folder is usually hidden by Microsoft,
Also know that Adobe hasn't updated that page to include specific locations for CC 2014, so you have to look around just a bit when you get to the deepest folder.
As an example, here's where my preferences are on Windows 8.1:

Next, i have other tables where employee name is there and his salary. now I want to add all the salaries of the employees with same groups, how can I do this.
for Example, I have employee group as ENG, DOC, NUR Etc. (Also I wanted to use some kind of dynamic conditions as emplyee groups might added latter in custom table.

Library lost: recovery possible?

I recently found out that my entire itunes music library had been deleted somehow, nowhere to be found. Is it perhaps possible to "recover" my library back to the computer from my ipod, or will I have to purchase off itunes/burn all my music again? Thanks in adv. for any help.

If you have any iTunes Music Store purchases the transfer of purchased content from the iPod to authorised computers was introduced with iTunes 7. You'll find details in this article: Copying iTunes Store purchases from your iPod or iPhone to a computer
The transfer of content from sources such as songs imported from CD is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. You'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos, podcasts and games as well. Have a look at the web pages and documentation, this is just a small selection of what's available, they are generally quite straightforward. There's also a manual method of copying songs from your iPod to a Mac or PC. The procedure is a bit involved and won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's available on page 2 at this link: Copying Content from your iPod to your Computer - The Definitive Guide
One more thing, If your iPod is set to update automatically you need to take care connecting to an empty iTunes. You can use a keyboard command to prevent your iPod auto-syncing with iTunes. While connecting the iPod to the computer on Windows with iTunes 7.3 or later installed hold down the Shift + Ctrl keys together. This will stop the iPod from auto-syncing with iTunes and the iPod will appear in the source list. Wait until you are sure the iPod has mounted, and that it will not auto sync and then you can let the keys go. This may take between 20 to 30 seconds depending on your computer: iTunes - Keyboard Shortcuts for Windows
When your iPod appears in the iTunes source list change the update setting to manual, that way you can continue to use your iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. Also when using most of the utilities listed above your iPod needs to be enabled for disc use, changing to manual update will do this by default: Managing content manually on iPod
Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync. I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up, relying on an iPod as your sole backup is not a good idea and external drives are comparatively inexpensive these days, you can get loads of storage for a reasonable outlay.

Preview with watermark: is that possible?

I wonder if there is a way to add a watermark to the preview generated by Aperture.
It would be very useful for me when I need to upload a pictures in my website via iWeb and Aperture Library preview.
Is there an Automator workflow that fits my needs?

If your formatting requirements aren't too elaborate, you may be able to get away with a straight SQL solution:

Go to asktom.oracle.com and search for "grouping sets" and "rollup" to see some examples of what you can do with this.

Lost a good customer

I recently replied to a post in the windows vista topic of the forum to someone who like me purchased the live motion webcam and is disgusted by the fact that Creative has an official release for the vista driver around the 4th quarter of 2007.Like I said before, this webcam was promoted by creative as being the best in the world and it's price tag of over 29.00 would make people think that they would support that webcam wit top customer care.Unfortunatly that has not being the case, Vista has been released for 3 weeks nows and not even a beta driver is planned soon, they wont even bother with a 64 bit version. Pretty much all the other webcam released since the live motion cost less than 100.00 dollars and they have the advanced video effect program, for some reason they have not come up with an update to make the live motion work the the effect software. I am sure for people who have webcam that will have vista driver available soon and can use the advance video fx they probably don't care about it, but they should probably think about it and maybe be a little bit worried about the future and how their product will be supported in the future.Like I said in my message subject, whatever happens now with the drivers, I have decided that I am done with creative and will never purchase a product again from them and that is too bad because I am a good customer and don't mind spending more money for a top product like the live motion was promoted by creative but don't like the idea that a company would take 29.00 dollars from me and give me c....p support after that.Microsoft can do that, they have a monopoly on operating systems, creative can not there is a lot of competition and in the long run I would not be surprise to see creative in financial trouble.

With regret, what you've been informed heretofore is true. Outside of the return period, which was extended to January 15, 2015 for Holiday purchases, we are unable to offer a return or exchange for your TV. Geek Squad Protection coverage does not extend to the kind of damage that you describe. Geek Squad should be able to provide repairs, but they would be at your expense. I'm sorry that I do not have better news.
While I understand your reasons, I'm disheartened that this experience may influence your future shopping destination. It is my hope that you will give Best Buy another chance one day.

Create New Document - Suddenly Lost Ability for Customer Option

Hi -
All of the sudden I can't create a customer profile when creating a new document. Earlier I selecting the print profile. I tried opening a new document and creating a custome profile but that option is grayed out.
Not sure if this is related but I created custome brushes yesterday but they don't appear today. Is that because of the profile that the brushes were created with and without that profile I won't see the brushes?

I guess I still don't get it. I create a new brush in print profile but when I open a new doucment with that profile that brush isn't there.

Lost contacts: possible fix

Hi
I recently noticed that many of my contacts had disappeared, I have iPhone 5 with latest iOS, contacts syncing with iPad via iCloud etc.
Some contacts on one device but not on others. Tried various fixes from the forum, net result was that all contacts not on both devices disappeared.
I noticed I could find the contact records in spotlight, and if someone called the number was still recognised.
The fix then: from spotlight I opened one of the missing contact records and then added and removed it from my favourites. Immediately all my missing contacts were restored, even some I'd completely forgotten about :0)

Sync them back.
If they are on your computer, then choose them to sync.
