Web OS live chat

No device
Is WebOS live chat supposed to be working. When I try to use it I get the spinning icon and says connecting but never connects.

I've used it at one of the display units at a nearby Office Depot.
(I did let them know in Mumbai that some of the links I was being sent were outdated!  They were still using .palm.com in many of them instead of .hpwebos.com)

  • How do you get up live chat. Need to contact BT r...

OK so I got my latest bill and BT wanted to up my direct debit charges to £56.00 per month!  I'm only on Option 1 broadband and obviously a call package that is WAY too expensive.  There is no way I can afford that so - somehow - through this complicated and baffling BT website, I managed to have a live chat with someone.
I paid off the excessive monies owed and I was assured my direct debit would stay at £36.50.  However, thinking about it I decided to see if I could change the amount online.
Low and behold when I went into the change direct debit section, it advised at DD per month of £46.50 - a whole £10 LOWER than what BT had said on my bill.
So, I changed it to that and I also changed the date coming out from the 2nd to the 6th of every month.
Now, the amount hasn't changed on my bank account, they are still saying they are going to take out over £50.00 per month from April and I want to be assured that this is all incorrect and that perhaps it's taking longer than normal to get things changed.
Can I find the live web chat again to log onto it?  No.
Do I want to phone and go all round the houses pressing '1' or '2'?  No.
Do I want to email? No. Purely because I ask for an email back (proof!) and all I get are phone calls.
I just want to know if things are as I want them!! Is this too much to ask BT?  Can you not simplify your website so that it is easier to get in touch via web chat instead of clicking on a link - only to be sent to another link?
I have to say, once my contact is up I'm outta here!!  You are so expensive and you can never be got hold of!.

BT do offer an unlimited anytime phone package. For £4.99 extra per month, you get free calls 24/7 to 01,02,03,0870 and 0845 numbers. For any other number you can log on to SayNoTo0870, then type in the number, for example 0871 and in a majority of cases, you'll find a 01 alternative. This should bring the phone bill down by quite a bit. (Line rental + £4.99 - should be all you need to pay, unless you call mobiles from your landline. If you do, IIRC BT also offer a package for this to also bring the tariff down)
I managed to have a live chat with someone.
From the Bills & Call Packages main page, you'll find the live chat there.
    But here's the link anyway - http://bt.custhelp.com/app/contact/c/2902/?s_intcid=con_intban_sanda_contact_us_chat_from_forums

  • Can I create a live chat forum in business catalyst, if so how?

Using my CS 6 Extended Muse application, or even Dreamweaver, is it possible to create a live chat room and upload to my personal BC site (you know, one of the free five sites that come with the CS6 membership).

Not likely as you would need some back-end coding for most live chat applications, even with web sockets.

  • Question about Cisco Tec support Rep Live chat issue .

Hello guys, I recently just tried to do a session of live tech support on cisco web site about a issue trying to get my router to change the speed of the wireless connection from 54mbps to the potiental maxium of 300mbps. Well This is my second time using the live chat feature and the 2nd time, the guy was asking for my router name and passowrd. I didnt feel to comformtable doing that since my first time using the live chat , the tech guy didnt ask for my operating system, or my passowrds or anything of that nature? Is that normal for a live chat guy to do that? I figured hes was trying to do a remoate access to my computer and I was thinking, they probably dont do that for free especially over a live chat. Anyeone thoughts or am i being over crictical. thanks

if you are not comfortable then dont give them the info.
i have not had a reason to ask then to do this, however back in the day i had a sony live rep (we were on the phone too) remote into my router to allow me to setup my sony base station (think slingbox but its made by sony) so i could get it to work when away form the home. this was a few years ago so it happens today. some businesses/stores even offer it as a solution. so dont freak out that they asked you that. dell does this for example...
give them a call and have them on the phone with you instead.just have them give you the directions on what to do.... if not, come here and ask the questions...

  • Can anyone help me find live chat??!

I got an email saying I cancelled my subscrption, which I did not. Now I can't find a way to contact skype. Been going in circles! Can anyone send me the link to the live chat button?

Hi, Loricovi, and welcome to the Community,
There is not a specific link to reach Skype's customer service via instant message; we have to work through the various steps that are presented once we sign on to Skype's main web site.  Here is a link to the instruction on how to contact Skype Customer Service via their secure portal: Contact Customer Service
Here are a few extra notes to guide you along the way ...
You will need to proceed through each step, one at a time. Sign on to the Skype website as requested. Choose the subject and topic which most closely matches the item you need assistance with. Then, continue past Step 2 of the instruction where several articles from the FAQ library will appear for you to review, and proceed to Step 3, Continue Support Request (the blue "button" appears at the lower right corner of the website page). You may also skip through Step 4 where you will be referred back here to the Community; no need to do this as the Community is where you started. When you complete the web-form and click Submit, your information is relayed to Skype and you will receive a reply via e-mail unless you are transferred to start an instant message chat session with a Customer Service agent.
If you experience difficulty reaching Skype Customer Service, try again using a different web browser. Also, look to approve a pop-up dialogue box which would connect you to start an instant message chat with a customer service agent. If you have pop-ups blocked in your browser settings, this will also impede reaching an agent.
In the case of a Skype Number subscription, you may have received that e-mail if the payment method on file is no longer valid, or if there may not have been enough credit on account to process the renewal order.  This is what happened with me; the subscription cancelled at the end of its term, and I signed on to add credit.  When the credit purchase cleared, I was able to sign on again and click the Reactivate link to renew my Skype Number subscription.  Remember that the Skype Number is reserved for 90 days following cancellation of the subscription, so you have time to sign on and renew.
    Regards,
    Elaine

  • Is there a live chat forum here on this site? I can't seem to find one

It seeems to me like there should be one. Is there?
    To get problems resolved quicker?
Or is there a popular website that mac users use more?
    Thanks.
    -ch

    Hi, Christopher.
As noted, there's no live chat here.
According to one of your other posts, you have a new computer: a MacBook Pro. It should still be under warranty.
It comes with a one-year hardware warranty and 90 days of free, telephone-based tech support for problems like the one you've been posting about elsewhere, i.e. you can't "turn if off" or, more precisely, it won't shut down, as you've posted here.
If you want to talk to someone, call AppleCare at 1-800-275-2273 and take advantage of your warranty.
You paid for the warranty (it's factored into the price of your computer) so you should use it.
If you're beyond the 90 days, then I suggest you buy an AppleCare Protection Plan, which extends the hardware warranty by an additional two years and gives you three years of telephone-based support. If you think it's a waste of money, try pricing a replacement LCD for your Mac: the AppleCare Protection Plan is cheap insurance.
Whether questions are answered or unanswered here, particularly by "the regulars," can often depend on how well they are written. See my "Obtaining Help Online" FAQ for some tips on writing better posts than "it won't turn off."
PS: As a tip for future question posts, please fill in your Discussions settings with complete information about your Mac (specific model, RAM, hard drive size, Mac OS X version, etc.). Click "My Settings" in the "Welcome yourscreenname" box in the upper-right corner of this page, then add those details to the "Computer" field therein. Use the "Other Computer Information" field if additional space is required.
    Good luck!

  • Live chat records

I recently did a live chat reporting a problem with the app catalog. I mainly wanted to notify them of the problem, find out what was wrong and an eta of a fix. The tech said i would be notified when the problem was fixed. i also had other question due to being unable to use promo codes do the store being down for many hours.
When i started the chat is said that i would receive a record of the chat. How do i get that record? Does anyone have an email address for webos customer service questions?
Post relates to: HP TouchPad (WiFi)

I have read you chat notes and see the error that you are receiving "no connection". We have been experiencing some intermittent App Catalog connections issue due to the volume of new users that have been added to the Touchpad community. Have you been able to connect since you posted? Are you able to browse the web?
Which promo code do you have that you are trying to use; the $50.00 code or the one time single app code?

  • Please check the LIVE CHAT Record and return my money back.

    This is the situation.
My 2-year contract ended on 1-15-2015, and I ordered a new device iphone 6 plus (64G) on 1-13-2015 and selected Edge plan (I line, 1GB data, unlimited call and message from 1-15-2015, totally price $80/ month). I had a live chat with a lady and a man, and also confirmed it with call.
Now I found that the bill became $183 !!!  6GB data is stead of 1GB. The stupid thing is that I paid the same amount ($183) last month as I thought first month charged more because of handing fee.... Now this month It also 183. So I contact with LIVE chat person and ask them to check the LIVE CHAT record to compensate the losses. They told me that they can't enter the record and can't make this remedy.
So, why do I need take resposible for this mistake? Why do I need pay $200 more? Why can't your guys see the record and find the evidences? Actually I only use 20% data of 1GB, why you HELP me order 6GB?

  • How to live chat with screensharing

Hi i setup screensharing and i can control my fathers computer but i need to live chat or something that will let me commcate with him is this possibnle with screensahring

    Hi,
In Mountain Lion the Messages app with an AIM or Jabber account can Screen Share with an Audio Chat along side to another Mac that is using the same Service (AIM or Jabber) type.
Apple ID issued by Apple are valid AIM Screen Names (those ending in @mac.com, @me.com or @icloud.com)
Jabber names can include Google Mail IDs with "Talk" enabled on the Google web site settings.
Or Facebook IDs can be used after you enable "Chat" at your Facebook Settings.
(There are also many other jabber server you could register an ID).
It is AIM to AIM or Jabber to Jabber.
The Apple IDs need to keep their passwords to 16 characters or Less as this is the AIM server limit.
@me.com and @icloud.com names can not be used in iChat 5 or earlier.  (it's to do with a Login iChat 6 and Messages make to Apple that then allows AIM to "see" the Password that does not happen in earlier versions)

  • Presence: Live Chat or Buddy System?

Can someone tell me more about Oracle Presence? I need an application like a business app where potential customers can "live chat" with a customer service rep. I dont need an AOL Instant messenger type of service with a list of buddies. I need a more professional application: available, not available, "click here to chat with a customer service rep".
Is Presence the tool? I am using Webcenter 11g

These days there are such products and services present in the IT market which can help you in solving your query. There are softwares as well as live chat service providers in the market which handles your visitors on your behalf. If you want to manage or greet your visitors yourself you can get live chat software other wise opt for live chat service for 24/7 on very cheap rates.
Let me explain you with the whole process. When you go for web greeter service, company will add a script to your website. After adding the script in the code of the website, whenever a customer will come on to the website, an automated feature will pop up the window and greet the visitor. After that the live chat operator will take over the chat process and try to engage him into conversation to help him out by solving his queries and in certain case try to generate hot leads or a potential sales for you. If you want your own operator to greet the visitor, you can go for live chat software, otherwise you can get live chat service which will greet the visitors on your website on your behalf. I hope i have managed to respond to your query.

  • Live Chat Support FAIL

I just fixed a problem on my Mom's Macbook Air, where, for unknown reasons, Skype no longer appeared in her Dock nor auto-started with login. Easy enough to reset, took me 1 minute. Went to Applications folder, launched Skype, right-clicked Skype icon in Dock, and set the Options.
Earlier, she had been in Live Chat with Skype for a good 45 minutes, with no progress, and gave up. She told me they had asked her to click on links and download files, so I checked her Download folder.
To my surprise, I discovered she had been instructed to download a WINDOWS Skype installer, and then some WINDOWS remote support installer.
    Are you kidding me??
Having done plenty of tech support in my life, the very FIRST question should be what kind of computer and what operating system is being run. If this technician was so inept as to not ask the question themselves (or check the connection information- I presume the web chat might give Skype Support the basic info such as the customer's browser and platform), they either were poorly trained, or should not have been hired in the first place.
My mom felt a lot better learning that it wasn't she that was the idiot, but instead the incompetent Skype techie who wasted 45 minutes of her life confusing and frustrating her.
At least my mom filed the post-session customer service survey accurately, giving the technician 1s across the board (though 0 is really the appropriate rating).
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Thanks. I did also paste my post into a chat with a Skype agent. I would have sent an email, but there was no option offered to email customer support, only Community or Chat (and that was also annoying, since the Skype FAQ says..."If the above doesn’t help, you can contact Customer Service via email and live chat...") It is baffling and annoying when a company instructs you what to do, but makes it impossible to do what they instruct.
Skype is a useful tool, but really, these are customer service no-brainers. I used to do SQA. It's simple: if you don't currently offer a feature (i.e. email), then don't say that you offer that feature. You lead customers to waste time trying to figure out how to access a feature that doesn't exist, and they end up hating you for the exasperation; at worst, they dump you for a competing product.
Perhaps Skype needs a new head of customer service. Possibly someone who understands customer service.

  • What happened to live chat support?

When trying to access Live Chat, a message appears "There was an error checking the queue." I have seen this for quite some time so I know it is not an intermittent issue. A link appears underneath this message "You can try starting a chat session." When I click this I am brought to a blank page with the title "Leave A Message." What is going on? Even at the bottom of the Contact Us page there is mention of live chat under Technical support.

    Hi,
I'm sorry this isn't completely clear on the web site, we are working on making changes to all of the web pages that refer to Live Chat because it is currently unavailable. We put the service 'on hiatus' two weeks ago because the client-side tools aren't sufficient for a good experience (for the user or the helper).
You can ask your question on this forum and we'll do our very best to help you out.
