Web Service 2.0 Query Account Problem

I've got a web service to query Account IDs from CRMOD using the External System ID field value - I've been using the Web Service 1.0 WSDL, but now changing to the Web Service 2.0 WSDL. With the newest WSDL and modified code, I cannot get an Account Query to correctly return the Account ID. Below is the VB code I am using - similar to the 1.0 code I was using - passing the ExternalSystemId value in which I have verified is correct and an empty value for ID, but it never returns any data. I also tried sending an empty value for Name and Location instead of ID, but it still never returns any data.
Dim qryIn As New AccountQueryPage_Input
qryIn.ListOfAccount = New ListOfAccountQuery
qryIn.ListOfAccount.Account = New AccountQuery
qryIn.ListOfAccount.Account.ExternalSystemId = New queryType
qryIn.ListOfAccount.Account.ExternalSystemId.Value = "='XXX123yyy'"
qryIn.ListOfAccount.Account.Id = New queryType
qryIn.ListOfAccount.Account.Id.Value = ""
Dim qryOut As AccountQueryPage_Output
qryOut = accntPrxyAcct.AccountQueryPage(qryIn)
Any ideas on how this call to the AccountQuery is incorrect?

Thanks for the reply Mark.
I did verify the External ID by plugging it into a filter on a report and the correct account was returned.
Code before was just the creation of the proxy:
Dim accntPrxyAcct As New WSOD_CVW_Account.Account
accntPrxyAcct.Url = objSession.GetURL()
Code after:
It should take the AccountID from the query out object and it places it into another webservice call to create a task associated with that account. That web service call is working and is also Web Service 2.0. It uses the same objSession variable - so the session seems to be valid.

  • Web Services for BW query - consuming in ADOBE FLEX

    Hello Gurus,
    Somehow, my client is not going ahead with BO Xcelsius dashboard solution due to budget problem so i am plannign to create some dashboard in ADOBE FLEX using web services. Do any one of u have implemented this kind of scenario? My intension is to go ahead with some good looking , better features which can be used as an alternative of Business Objects. I can see some tools like COGNOS, QLickview etc but I saw the look and features of ADOBE FLEX last week and tried explorin it.
    1) You can either suggest alternative tool OR
    2) if any one of you have used Web services to create ADOBE FLEX reports then let me know. I went thru some forums, blofgs and videos in SDN and came to know how to activate Web services in SAP BI side and got little idea. I didnt see anybody used ADOBE FLEX on the top of SAP BI query.
    Thanks in Advance.

  • Populating ComboBox with CFC web service return type query

    I am just now learning Flex and am attempting my first app (I have been a CFer for years).
    Anyway, I am attempting to build an AIR app in Flex that simply has a login with a form to submit information into a database.
    Things are going ok, except I am stumped at something that I think should be simple...populating a combo box. I have a CFC (I am using CFCs as a web service to drive the app) that contains a method that simply returns a query. I want to use the results to populate the combo box display and value. I created the combo box and then dragged the method to the box to have FB create the code. It populates the list but with just [object Object]. This is a piece of cake in CF but I am not stumbling across the correct syntax in Flex. Any pointers would be appreciated.
    Here is my current code.

  • Web Service From Java class, serialization problem

    Hi,
    I want to create Web Service from Java class, I made java project, generated web service from it, create web service archive project and deployed it to WAS 6.40.
    My class have 2 methods,
    public int add(int a, int b);
    public MyResponse doSomthing(MyRequest req);
    I can succesfully call add method from Web Service Navigator, it works fine but when I call doSomthing methods I get the following error:
    <b>
    Deserializing fails. Nested message: XML Deserialization Error. Result class [com.mycomp.sap_tech.ws.MyRequest] does not have property [Amount] of type [java.lang.String]. It is required to load XML..
    </b>
    Any ideas how to resolve it?
    P.S. MyRequest class is exposed throw VI, has default constractor and public getters and setters for all properties. It implements Serializable as well. Any guesses?
    Thanks in advance,
    Victor.

    Hi Bhavik, thanks for response.
    as I already mentioned it implements Serializable, so it is not the problem.
    Thanks Avi but it didn't helps iether

  • Web Service Issue - Security or Coding problem? *HELP*

    Hello all - I am stuck on a particular problem, which I've posted under flash player but also will post here in the event that it's my issue, and not a security/player issue.
    I have built a video player in Flash/ AS3 which communicates with WSDL web services using the as3webservice code package from wellconsidered. The player makes a call at startup to check a user's progress in a series of videos, and updates that progress by talking to the web service as the videos are played back.
    Tested locally, it works flawlessly. As soon as the player is uploaded, however, the web service' hangs' - so no fault is produced, but it seems to just never connect. This is presumably because the SWF is on one server, the web service on another. I've tried uploading it to two different servers, both different than the web service server. I'm trying to avoid moving the web service to the same server that hosts the SWF.
    I've tried adding a crossdomain.xml file to the root and subdirectories of the server that hosts the web service:
    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <!DOCTYPE cross-domain-policy SYSTEM
    "http://www.adobe.com/xml/dtds/cross-domain-policy.dtd">
    <cross-domain-policy>
        <site-control permitted-cross-domain-policies="master-only"/>
        <allow-access-from domain="*"/>
        <allow-http-request-headers-from domain="*" headers="*"/>
    </cross-domain-policy>
    I've also tried playing with the SWF publishing options (Local Access only vs. Network only options), but no solution seems to help. I know it's not just the web service i"m using, because public web services (such as the ones found on webservicex.net) don't connect either.
    I'm at the end of my rope, and am wondering if this is a Flash Player security issue, or something I need to reconsider from my side (such as using a different web services package).I am wondering if a crossdomain.xml does not help, what other possible areas do I need to look at? If there is an article someone could point me to, or a simliar situation they've been in, i'm iopen to all suggestions.
    Thanks so much...fg

    You can generally check what the player is doing from the browser by using firefox with the firebug plugin. For example you can see the crossdomain permission requests or other urlrequests and responses. This is a useful way to debug as it sometimes shows issues or at the very least means you can eliminate one potential cause of the issue if there are no obvious problems there.
    If you don't have firefox/firebug, then (if you can) post a url with the swf in it that exhibits the error and I or someone else can check it for you and report back.

  • LR4 Flickr plug-in 'could not contact Flickr web service' - has nobody solved this problem?

    G'day All,
    I know i'm not alone. LR4 is now telling me it cannot update (Re-Publish) images successfully uploaded only an hour before via the native Lightroom publishing service.
    Here's the plug-in diagnostic:
    Plug-in error log for plug-in at: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4.1\Flickr.lrplugin
    **** Error 1
    This plug-in’s post-processing task did not finish successfully.
    Could not contact the Flickr web service. Please check your Internet connection.
    There are a couple of other discussions of the same issue on this forum, dating back to 2010, and, as far as I can see, no resolution to date.
    Am I wrong?
    I know there's the other guy's plugin, but everyone with the same problem reports no change if they switch to that. I'm signed in without problems to Flickr via both IE and FF, and the Flickr Uploadr connects just fine. I'm at work, and am hardly in a position to be tweaking modem packet-handling, (not that I'd be inclined to anyway!)
    Flickr is hardly obscure - it's the biggest, most successful photo-sharing service on the web. Is there a solution I haven't spotted? If not, surely a solution is overdue?
    regards,
    Bill

    G'day Rob,
    I've installed the Friedl plugin, but the problem is I have 50 images I'm looking to republish - specifically only to update the captions - whereas the new plugin will naturally want me to republish (all over again) the entire set of photos.
    I've just tried republishing 3 of them all over again with full captions via the Friedl plugin and it worked fine - looks like I'll have to delete the original lot if I want to have fully-captioned versions and use the Freidl plug-in from now on!
    Think I'll just fiddle with the captions of the originals online, and use the Friedl plug-in for future uploads.
    Dear Adobe - could the bug in the original, native publishing service be fixed, please? As Alan states above, we currently potentially have people wandering around playing with systems registeries and modem packet-handling and firewalls because the software is making incorrect reports of connection status, when, in fact, the Adobe Flickr plug-in simply can't handle multiple-paragraphs in captions!
    And if you've found this, Dear Reader, because the LR4 (or LRx) Flickr publishing service is telling you you can't connect to Flickr - don't tweak anything! First check if you have entered captions on your photos that contain paragraphs - i.e. carriage or hard-returns so that they appear broken into readable chunks just as this post does - because that's probably the problem. Simplify - to one line - a caption on the next photo or two due to be uploaded to check, and, if that works, and you want to have full captions, try the Friedl plugin!
    Thanks to all for your help.
    Bill

    Not sure what to call the server - this works okay when I'm not using tunneling and using our proxy server??

    I think your problem is that you have a proxy user/password and the TCP Monitor (both the command line and built-in 9.0.3 version) do not support that - they only support specification of the proxy server itself :-(
    It is a feature request that I hope will make it into the late spring/early summer release of JDeveloper - I wrote it up as a request based on the number of folks who faced this issue with these tutorials.

    how do i set the com.sun.xml.rpc.client.ServiceFactor so that it know where to find the class?

    It sounds like a classpath problem. Try adding JWSDP_HOME/common/lib/jaxrpc-ri.jar to the client's classpath.

  • How do I use the Web Services API to query orders?

    The help doc states, "you can retrieve details for purchases including products purchased, payments received, and their status." The only additional info is at the link to eCommerce-Related Web Service, which does not include any information about retrieving "products purchased, payments received, and their status."

    Hey if you read over that again you have two links, the other is this one:

  • Using 'OR' in web services 1.0 query.

    HI,
    I need to query for a particular contact on the basis of Phone number.
    Now the search for the Phone Number search should be on 3 fields WorkPhoneNumber, CellPhoneNumber, HomePhoneNumber.
    contact.setWorkPhoneNumber("='" phoneNumber"'");
    contact.setCellPhoneNumber("='" phoneNumber"'");
    contact.setHomePhoneNumber("='" phoneNumber"'");
    The above query has an implicit 'AND' between the statements.
    I want the query to be of the format WorkPhoneNumber = 'phoneNumber' OR CellPhoneNumber = 'phoneNumber' OR HomePhoneNumber = 'phoneNumber' .
    Any suggestions ?
    Regards,
    Bibin.

    A couple of questions -
    I'm assuming you generated a Axis stub via wsdl2java?
    How are you handling the situation of there being more than 100 child records? Wouldn't you have to make multiple iterations for each parent if this was the case?
    Thanks

  • Problem with java based Web Services in ADF-.

    I have developed a Web service based on the Java class generated through Business components. Steps are as below:-
    1)     Created a Read only View Object with EmpDeptViewObj name and has following query:-
    “select e.EMPLOYEE_ID,e.FIRST_NAME,e.LAST_NAME,e.EMAIL,e.JOB_ID, d.DEPARTMENT_ID,d.DEPARTMENT_NAME
    from HR.EMPLOYEES e,HR.DEPARTMENTS d where e.department_id=d.department_id
    and d.DEPARTMENT_NAME=:1”
    2)     Created an AM. Added the above created View Object in it and then added the following custom method it in:-
    public String[] getEmpDetailsAsString(String deptName)
    EmpDeptViewObjImpl empDeptVOObj=this.getEmpDeptViewObj1();
    empDeptVOObj.setWhereClauseParams(null);
    empDeptVOObj.setWhereClauseParam(0,deptName);
    empDeptVOObj.executeQuery();
    int fetchedRowCount = empDeptVOObj.getRowCount();
    EmpDeptViewObjRowImpl[] rows = new EmpDeptViewObjRowImpl[fetchedRowCount];
    String[] temp=new String[fetchedRowCount];
    RowSetIterator rowIter = empDeptVOObj.createRowSetIterator("rowIter");
    if (fetchedRowCount > 0)
    rowIter.setRangeStart(0);
    rowIter.setRangeSize(fetchedRowCount);
    for (int count = 0; count < fetchedRowCount; count++)
    rows[count]=(EmpDeptViewObjRowImpl)rowIter.getRowAtRangeIndex(count);
    temp[count]=rows[count].getFirstName();
    rowIter.closeRowSetIterator();
    return temp;
    public EmpDeptViewObjRowImpl[] getEmpDetailsAsRowImplObj(String deptName)
    EmpDeptViewObjRowImpl[] rows=null;
    if(deptName!=null)
    EmpDeptViewObjImpl empDeptVOObj=this.getEmpDeptViewObj1();
    empDeptVOObj.setWhereClauseParams(null);
    empDeptVOObj.setWhereClauseParam(0,deptName);
    empDeptVOObj.executeQuery();
    int fetchedRowCount = empDeptVOObj.getRowCount();
    rows = new EmpDeptViewObjRowImpl[fetchedRowCount];
    RowSetIterator rowIter = empDeptVOObj.createRowSetIterator("rowIter");
    if (fetchedRowCount > 0)
    rowIter.setRangeStart(0);
    rowIter.setRangeSize(fetchedRowCount);
    for (int count = 0; count < fetchedRowCount; count++)
    rows[count]=(EmpDeptViewObjRowImpl)rowIter.getRowAtRangeIndex(count);
    rowIter.closeRowSetIterator();
    return rows;
    public EmpDeptBean[] getEmpDetailsBasedOnBean(String deptName)
    EmpDeptViewObjImpl empDeptVOObj=this.getEmpDeptViewObj1();
    empDeptVOObj.setWhereClauseParams(null);
    empDeptVOObj.setWhereClauseParam(0,deptName);
    empDeptVOObj.executeQuery();
    int fetchedRowCount = empDeptVOObj.getRowCount();
    EmpDeptBean empDeptRow[]=new EmpDeptBean[fetchedRowCount];
    EmpDeptViewObjRowImpl[] rows = new EmpDeptViewObjRowImpl[fetchedRowCount];
    RowSetIterator rowIter = empDeptVOObj.createRowSetIterator("rowIter");
    if (fetchedRowCount > 0)
    rowIter.setRangeStart(0);
    rowIter.setRangeSize(fetchedRowCount);
    for (int count = 0; count < fetchedRowCount; count++)
    rows[count]=(EmpDeptViewObjRowImpl)rowIter.getRowAtRangeIndex(count);
    empDeptRow[count].setDEPARTMENTID(rows[count].getDepartmentId());
    empDeptRow[count].setDEPARTMENTNAME(rows[count].getDepartmentName());
    empDeptRow[count].setFIRSTNAME(rows[count].getFirstName());
    empDeptRow[count].setLASTNAME(rows[count].getLastName());
    empDeptRow[count].setJOBID(rows[count].getJobId());
    empDeptRow[count].setEMPLOYEEID(rows[count].getEmployeeId());
    empDeptRow[count].setEMAIL(rows[count].getEmail());
    rowIter.closeRowSetIterator();
    return empDeptRow;
    3)     And then generated the Web Service from Application module.
    Problem here is I am unable to return multiple columns to the xml generated. And only getEmpDetailsAsString and getEmpDetailsAsRowImplObj. And getEmpDetailsBasedOnBean method is not even getting published in end point.
    Please help me to solve this problem.
    Thanks in Advance

  • Problem with signed SAML assertion and Web Services Manager

    Folks,
    I’m having some issues trying to generate a proper signed SAML assertion using JDeveloper 10.1.3. I am securing a java proxy class using the wizard as described in http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/howtos/1013/wssecure/10gwssecurity_howto.html .
    On the OWSM side, I have a service that I am securing with SAML - Verify WSS 1.0 Token. If I set the "Allow signed assertions only" property to false I can complete the service call. However, when it is set to true I am receiving the following fault: javax.xml.rpc.soap.SOAPFaultException: SAML token verification failed.
    When I examine the message going to OWSM in a packet analyzer, it is missing the signature in the SAML assertion. The <saml:Assertion> tags looks like:
          <saml:Assertion MajorVersion="1" MinorVersion="1"

    Thanks for the response. I am not using any pages for this application yet... just calling the web service from SOAP UI or any Web Service testing tool causes the problem.
    All that has to be done to replicate it is to build a simple EJB 3.0 JPA bean using the entities from tables wizard and then add named query as follows:
    @NamedQuery(name = "BomHeader.findByDesc", query = "select o from BomHeader o where o.bomDesc like :p_bomDesc")
    then build a session bean with the wizard that includes the JPA persistence unit and the entity and subsequently use the wizard to wrap the session bean in a web service.
    The whole replication process should take 5 minutes if you have some database tables to work with. It breaks when the web service is called.
    Thanks in advance
