Webi LOV's

Hi All,
How to get the "ALL" lov in webi as in Crystal report.
When i run the webi report i have to display the "ALL" lov along with all other lov's. When i select the "ALL" lov then it should take all the lov values and display all the values. (We have this functionality in crystal report). Can someone provide me any work around for this.
Thanks in Advance,
-JK-

Hi,
I have a detailed document that explains how to create a Condition Object which allows you to select ALL from the LOVs.
You can download it from the following link:

Please let me know if this helps.
Thanks,

  • Webi LOV filter based on BW roles

    hi expert,
i wish to filter webi LOV based on user login/ roles. what is the best way to implement this?
Based on my research, this can be done by adding authorization object into query, is that true? and BW roles need to set the authorization object value for each roles..
however, i need to restrict product code on LOV which is not visible to add in as authorization object, where this will restrict all user to select product on all query.
Is there any flexible way, where i can
    1) authorization object are optional to add in to any query, if no authorization object add in, it treat us return all product code?
    Please help. thanks

  • BI Hierachy node values not showing up in WebI LOV

    Hi Experts,
We are on BI 7.0 Ehp1 and BOBJ ENTERPRISE XI 3.1.
We have a Bex query with Hierarchy and Hierarchy node variable.
In the Webi Query LOV only the Hierachies show up but not the values for nodes.
Since these are not mandatory vairables the WeBI query runs fine and fetches the required data.
The variables are in the Filter section of the Bex query and the refrence characteristic on which the hierarchy variable is based  is NOT in the free characteristic and the rows.
There are 5 hierachies in BI with about 5300 nodes.
Any help or leads will be highly appreciated!
    Thanks,

    Hi Ingo,
As always appreciate your response. Yes, both the variables (Hierarchy and hierarchy node variable) are part of the universe.
When I hit refresh on the LOV screen for the node values  <No Values> is returned.
These values show up properly on the Bex side.
    Thanks!

  • Scheduling WEBI Prompts

    Hi,
Is it possible to schedule prompts of webi report? Please let me know if there is anyway to achieve this.
    Thanks,
    Shweta.

In currently available products it is not possible to schedule prompt LOV's for a webi report. It is possible to schedule webi report with prompts.
Webi LOV scheduling, similar to BV LOV scheduling might be available in the next version of the product.

  • Real basic stuff that has totally alluded me

It has been many moons since ive used OS9 and after Firefox3 killed my OSX install im starting all over again...with only half of my restore disks apparently. ANYWAY! Im back to using OS9 for awhile and i have one big issue: I cant get the web browsers (explorer or netscape) to understand that i do in fact have an internet connection.
My airport signal is at full strength in the key chain, and the internet control panel says i have a connection...but i if i try to use the web browser nothing happens....no web love...just a "connection error, please make sure your mac is connected to the internet" in the empty browser window.
Im sure that im missing something real basic and dumb, and im very sure that my problem is pretty bland compared to most of the real exotic dual-booting, networking with nasa, crazy stuff that some people want to do on here...but any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have a 500meg processing, DVD playing, single firewire rocking, only one usb plugging, original 1.0 airport surfing, 576 megs of ram jumping, really keen graphite clamshell ibook with a super awesome handle that make it look like a toilet seat that they will have to pry out of my cold, dead hands before ill give it up! (i think i might need help)

    Hi, osxatemymac -
    Welcome to Apple's Discussions.
What type connection do you have - DSL or cable? Some ISP's, especially for cable service, require the use of software that maintains the handshake with their router. If they do, they should provide it.
Check the settings in the TCP/IP control panel. Typically these are -
        Connect via    -set to-    Ethernet
Configure    -set to-    Using DHCP Server
Occasionally AppleTalk can interfere with a connection. This usually occurs when there is no need to have AppleTalk use ethernet; unfortunately, just disabling AppleTalk may not make it let go. In this case it is necessary to set AppleTalk to use a different connection, such as Remote - you can make that setting in the AppleTalk control panel.
Sometimes it can help to trash the ASLM Preferences file (in the Preferences folder in System Folder), then restart.
Make sure that both the extensions named Shared Library Manager and Shared Library Manager PPC are enabled (checkmarked) in Extensions Manager.
One way to test the connection without using a browser is to run the Software Update control panel - see if it works.

  • LOVs not working in Webi Report for SAP BO 4.1 SP 2 Patch 3

    Hello ,
I have developed reports and universes in SAP BO 4.0 SP 5 and i have migrated those reports to higher version of BO which is 4.1 SP2 Patch 3.
My universe is working fine with LOVs but when i run the webi report , the LOVs arent working.
have anyone facing the same issue. any idea why the LOVs arent working on higher version.?

    Hi Victor,
The List of values we will assign in universe in order to get filtered data works on universe query panel
but the same objects when i am using in report(webi report) , the List of values are not working .i.e
they are not getting displayed in webi report.
for ex: i have country object having country names as LOVs and state objects having state names as LOVs . Now when i select Country value , the LOVs of state objects should get filtered and shows only states which belongs to country .
the above logic is not working in webi report , i am only able to select country and when i go for state, the state names do not get filtered.
please let me know why this is happening in the SP2 patch 3 version and its working fine for SP2  , but the chrome issue gets solved after applying patch 3 and not if we only upgrade to SP2.
the webi reports are not working in chrome browser if we using SAP B04.1 SP2 and lower version
but the LOVs are not working in SAP BO 4.1 SP 2 patch 1, 2,3.
kindly help me with the issue

  • Remove zeros in LOVs of BW Infoobjects on Webi report

    Dear Experts,
My BW infoobjects(0GL_ACCOUNT) showing preceding zeros in the BI4.1 WEBI Prompts LOVs, so user don't want the zeros and they need only values and also they compare BEx analyzer with BO since BEx analyzer LOVs shows only values without zeros.
Is there any function or setting either in BO or BEx designer to remove zeros in the BW infoobjects? so that in BO LOVs display only values without zeros.
Currently values is 0000123456 in BO LOVs and user want only 123456 as per BEx analyzer.

  • How to use a cascading LOV as a Web Services Consumer?

How to use a cascading LOV as a Web Services Consumer?
We are trying to populate a prompt programmatically.
Our program is a Web Services Consumer.
As an example we use Island Resorts Marketing
The cascading LOV for City is
    Country -> Region -> City
The City object is key-aware to the customer table
    The query is
    Customer | Revenue
    (where) City = [prompt]
In order to make the key-awareness work, we must select the value (rowIndex) from the LOV
When we run our program below, the LOV for City is not populated, as expected since we must first select the Country, then the Region.
The code snippet below shows that the LOV for Country is populated. We have no idea how to go from there.
Any hint will be immensely appreciated.

  • Creating a LOV based in a Web Service

    Hey guys...
I need to create a Lov based in a Web Service Result, but in always getting the same error:
LOV query is invalid, a display and a return value are needed, the column names need to be different. If your query contains an in-line query, the first FROM clause in the SQL statement must not belong to the in-line query.
    Queries that I'm trying:
    Original Query:
    select extractValue(value(t),'/*/imgLocation','xmlns="http://oracle.ovs.api/types/"') "imgLocation"
    , extractValue(value(t),'/*/imgName','xmlns="http://oracle.ovs.api/types/"') "imgName"
    from wwv_flow_collections c,
    table(xmlsequence(extract(xmltype.createxml(c.clob001),'//getAllTemplateResourcesResponseElement/result','xmlns="http://oracle.ovs.api/types/"'))) t
    where c.collection_name = 'P1_GETALLTEMPLATERESOURCES2_RESULTS'
    Other Query that I tried:
    select imgLocation, imgName from (
    select extractValue(value(t),'/*/imgLocation','xmlns="http://oracle.ovs.api/types/"') "imgLocation"
    , extractValue(value(t),'/*/imgName','xmlns="http://oracle.ovs.api/types/"') "imgName"

    where c.collection_name = 'P1_GETALLTEMPLATERESOURCES2_RESULTS')
And I tried creating a view, but I dont know where I have to put this.. Maybe in another process?
    create view as
    select imgLocation, imgName from (
    select extractValue(value(t),'/*/imgLocation','xmlns="http://oracle.ovs.api/types/"') "imgLocation"
    , extractValue(value(t),'/*/imgName','xmlns="http://oracle.ovs.api/types/"') "imgName"

    where c.collection_name = 'P1_GETALLTEMPLATERESOURCES2_RESULTS')

    Fox,
I'd start by adding column aliases D and R to the query and see if that helps.

  • How to find LOV Query in Oracle Web Form

    Hi All,
I am currently use oracle ebs R12.1.2 and i just want to know the query which is attached in lov for Oracle web pages kindly help.
    Regards

    Hi,
There is a bug in OAF for this one, upon clicking on About this page on the newly opened LOV page it still shows the Parent Page Details.
    Workaround:
    1. After the LOV window opens, click on about this page [This will still show the parent page properties]
    2. Now click on backspace. [You should be back to the same LOV Page]
    3. Now click on About this page, again, - This should show you the correct details.
    Hope that helps!!!

    Hi,
maybe this is the problem. The type is byte and not binary.
But I have the same problem as mentioned in the other thread: I can't change the type.
The type in the WSDL of my web service is "base64binary". Is there maybe a possibility to import a jar-file for this type?

  • How to display LOV on web in ENTER-QUERY mode with form or block query only.

    Hello all
How can I display lov automatic on the web in from enter-query
mode in form or block query only mode.
    thankx

If I understand correctly your explanation, your called form
fails to activate the LOV in enter-query mode when it is deployed
    and test on the browser.
So lets proceeed like this, to make it work in all environments,
let us programetically activate the LOV.
    HOW?
In the called form, write in the WHEN-NEW-ITEM-INSTANCE TRIGGER
at block level (if have more than one LOV)
    IF :SYSTEM.MODE = 'ENTER-QUERY' THEN
    IF get_item_property(:system.cursor_item,lov_name) IN ('YOUR
    LOV1', 'LOV2' etc) THEN
    IF SHOW_LOV(get_item_property(:system.cursor_item,lov_name))
    THEN
    NULL;
    END IF;
    END IF;
    END IF;
The above code maybe tweak to suite your need and condition.
This way, we explicitly make the LOV appear in ENTER-QUERY mode
whenever the user clicks on an item with an attached LOV.
    Hope this helps.

  • Timestamp for Week LOV in WebI Prompt Screen

    Hi,
I have Week Ending Date prompt in my report where I display all the Saturday dates .
When the report is refreshed, in the prompt screen the week data shows the timestamp as below.
    12/10/2011 12:00:00 AM
    12/3/2011 12:00:00 AM
    11/26/2011 12:00:00 AM
    11/19/2011 12:00:00 AM
But in the universe, the same LOV does not show any timestamp, only the date is displayed. I tried using Cast(WEEK.WK_DESC as Date) in the universe but still in the WebI the timestamp is coming.
Also in TD, this week column is defined as Date data type only.
Can any one please help why this timestamp is coming in the WebI prompt screen and how to remove it?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Lavanya
The sample time stamp 12:00:00am which is coming with the date object LOV in webi even if there is no time stamp in the database, is the default by design behaviour of businessobjetcs.
You can use formatdate() or Todate() to change the format like dd/mm/yyyy
And also this below link  will help for universe level
