Weblogic access.log when using apache plugin

Hello,
If I use the apache plugin with weblogic, what will be the IP address in
access.log of weblogic ? Will they only be apache's IP ?
Regards,
Dom

Is it possible that Apache itself is doing some url rewriting? I would
suggest turning on debugging and check what is happening in the wlproxy.log.
Set Debug ON in the httpd.conf.
Regards,
Eric

Hi all,
I am using Weblogic 5.1 SP 10 and Apache 1.3.19 on Solaris 7.
When I am using the Weblogic Webserver on port 7001 the WebLogicSession isinvisible
(it is a cookie).
When using the apache plugin on Port 80 I get the WebLogicSession in theurl (not
very nice).
I have enabled cookies in my browser in both cases.
Is there any way to get the sessionid as a cookie again?
Thanks
Volker

  • Weblogic Access Logs not getting generated / updated only for Admin server

    Hi All,
    I have a query ,
    We recently noticed that the weblogic access logs for our admin server are not getting generated.
    However we checked that the access logs are getting generated for the managed servers that we have.
    There is not much difference between the logging settings between the admin and the managed servers.
    We thought that there might be some problem with the buffering and that the data might not be written to the files immediately.
    So after researching we found the parameter "-Dweblogic.logging.bufferSizeKB=0" and added that to the java options however it did not make any difference.
    Also we tried modifying the config script as ,
    <server>
    <web-server>
    <web-server-log>
    <buffer-size-kb>0</buffer-size-kb>
    </web-server-log>
    </web-server>
    </server>
    However no luck .....
    We are using weblogic 9.2 MP3 and think there might be some bug with this version , however its hard to believe that the logs are generated and updated for managed servers and not for the admin servers.
    The only thing we notice in the access logs of the admin server is 404 errors.
    Any suggestions ?
    Regards,
    Stacey.

    This has come up recently here:
    access log not writing to disk in a timely fashion
    I didn't find that buffer-size-kb capability in the docs in 9.2. I recommend checking with support.

  • Continous HTTP access error logged when using Weblogic Cluster

    I am not sure if this is the right forum for this discussion, but here we go anyways.
    We have created a Weblogic Cluster with one Administration Server and up to 12 Managed Servers. Our Weblogic version is 9.2.
    SSL has been enabled for all Servers and the HTTP Listen Ports are all turned off. The cluster and all applications are working fine and communicating over HTTP as expected, however the logs grow 3MB+ per hour due to an error that repeatedly logged. This error appears to be an attempt by an internal Weblogic process to access some resource over HTTP.
    Here are the various messages received in the logs. There are 3 messages logged per error occurred.
    This first log message is from the domain log (I replaced the hostname/IP info with <PEER>):
    ####<Aug 11, 2008 12:08:46 PM GMT+00:00> <Warning> <Security> <PEER> <ManagedServer7> <[ACTIVE] ExecuteThread: '0' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)'> <<WLS Kernel>> <> <> <1218456526962> <BEA-090475> <Plaintext data for protocol HTTP was received from peer <PEER> instead of an SSL handshake.>
    This second log message is from the ".out" log from the Administration Server:

    I have searched all over trying to find a solution but with no luck thus far. I have seen some posts about turning on HTTPTunneling and this does seem to prevent the error from occurring, but this is not a solution for us.
    I could really use some help in understanding whats going on and trying to resolve this issue. Our client will make a big deal out of this and will want a solution. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,
    We had this problem with WebLogic Platform 9.2 MP2, running on Solaris. The patch CR344429 worked fine. The corresponding patch for 9.2 MP3 is CR370091. You can get these patches through Oracle Support.
    A couple of points:
    1. We did not have to set StartScriptEnabled=true for the patch to work. We use the SSL Niode manager.
    2. Using the t3: protocol (-Dweblogic.management.server=t3://<admin server listen address>:<admin server listen port) does stop these exceptions, but causes these warning messages to appear in the administration server log file:
    <Warning> <[STANDBY] ExecuteThread: '5' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)'> <<WLS Kernel>> <> <> <...> <BEA-002637> <Failed to register a disconnect listener because of weblogic.rmi.extensions.DisconnectMonitorUnavailableException: Could not register a DisconnectListener for [weblogic.rmi.internal.BasicRemoteRef ......>
    Hope these comments help.

    Hi all,
    I had some progress... i disabled the firewall (SELinux) on the Apache server. Before, i had just disabled the firewall from the Weblogic Server. Now, when i access the apache server, it redirects (sometimes, actually) the request to my Weblogic Cluster. Let's say that 50% of the time it works and the other 50% i get the error informed previously.
       I am using the apache user and the ulimit of this user is:
          [apache@vm-apache conf]$ ulimit -a

       From the Apache server (192.168.0.149), when i execute the "culr" command, i get the following message:

  • Where is HTTP access and error log when using Embedded PL/SQL Gateway?

    Hello,
    I am using Embedded PL/SQL Gateway to run stored procedures.
    I can't find access log and error log (something like Oracle HTTP Server has).
    In listener.log are only simple data and there are no usernames and procedure names...

    You might be better off asking this on the Apex forum: Oracle Application Express (APEX)

  • Clustering weblogic portal 10.3 with apache plugin

    Hi,
    we have configured a weblogic portal 10.3 cluster with two managed servers. We are using the apache 2.2 plugin module for dispatching.
    It seems for us that the plugin is not working correctly. It dispatches all request only to one server (we have tested it from different client machines). When we kill one of the managed servers the plugin dispatches to the other server which is correct.
    In our test case we have produced a lot of load with two jmeter instances from two machines. All requests are dispachted to one managed server. After the first server runs in an out of memory, the plugin dispachted to the second managed server until this runs also in an out of memory. Therefor we have no real load balancing.
    Here is our httpd.conf configuration:

    By the way we have also tested it with the apache 2.0 plugin which also isn't working.

    Were do we set the listen address.
    Even we have the same problem. I have one physical that has the admin server and manager server and other server with just the manager server.
    We have the apache proxy server infront of these clustered server. Our server goes down very frequently even without activity.

  • Weblogic.utils.NestedRuntimeException when using javax.servlet.Filter

    IDE: JDev 10gR3.4 & JDev 11gR2.3
    ViewController technology: JSF/ADF Faces
    Example code flow:
    Run page2.jsf
    MyFilter intercepts request, checks for parameter on session.
    If parameter not null, goto page2.jsf
    Else redirect to page1.jsf
    page1.jsf has a button that sets the value on the session scope after clicking.
    In jdev 11gR2.3, I get an weblogic.utils.NestedRuntimeException after clicking the button on page1.jsf. This error does not occur in jdev 10gR3.5. Although the application continues to execute and proper info is displayed, I’m wondering why this occurs and also if I should be concerned. Has anyone experienced a similar issue when using javax.servlet.Filter in 11g?
    MyFilter code snipet:
        public void doFilter(ServletRequest servletRequest, ServletResponse servletResponse, FilterChain filterChain) {
            try {
                HttpServletRequest httpRequest = (HttpServletRequest)servletRequest;
                HttpServletResponse httpResponse = (HttpServletResponse)servletResponse;
                String redirect = httpRequest.getContextPath() + "/faces/page1.jsf"; //only difference here is 11g uses jsf, 10g uses jsp.
                String uri = httpRequest.getRequestURI().toString();
                Boolean mySessionAttribute = (Boolean)httpRequest.getSession().getAttribute("MYSESSIONATTRIBUTE");
                if (uri.endsWith(redirect) || mySessionAttribute != null) {

    I dont believe that solution pertains to my case. clicked() is invoked from standard jsf page and the adf controller is not acquired yet. i put a couple of print statements in the filter and it seems that the doFilter is called twice! This is not the case when running in 10g.

    I believe whatever thats causing this occur could be why the exception is thrown...

  • Diadem 11 crashed when using AOP5 plugin with no specific error

    We have a ASAM-ODS database and are running a Avalon v4.2e server. DIAdem data TDM file is uploaded using openMDM client.
    We have installed AOP5 plugin on 2 systems running DIAdem 11 to access the data directly from the ASAM-ODS database. On one machine it is working fine.
    On the second machine with the same parameters, when we try to connect, DIAdem hangs and then crashes with no specific error in the log file. DIAdem is not able to refresh the Navigator window and show the data stored in the ASAM-ODS server. The relevant errors are attached and also the log file of the plugin.
    How do we debug and resolve the issue? Any pointers would be welcome. We are using aop5dataplugin2_0_1.exe downloaded from the NI site.

    Hi Shailesh,
    Is it possible that the computer this worked on has had a newer version of DIAdem or LabVIEW or DataFinder on it?  All three of those NI software packages share a layer called USI, which is what the DataPlugins "plug into".  The USI layer only upgrades, so even if you installed a DIAdem 2012 evaluation version and then uninstalled it, you would keep the USI version from DIAdem 2012, and your DIAdem 11.0 would use that newer USI version.  It is possible that the latest AOP5 DataPlugin is not compatible with 11.0, which was released nearly 5 years ago.  I can look into that and get back to you.
    Alternatively, DIAdem 11.0 may be struggling to work with a USI version from LabVIEW 2012 or DIAdem 2012.  We do regression testing every release with multiple older DIAdem versions, but at some point the newer features don't work with the older software.

  • Exception when using Apache POI in ADF

    Goodmorning;
    i'm using jdev 11g, i m trying to use Apache POI to import the content of Microsoft XL file into my database.
    i already do that succesfully on netbeans. but not on jdev.
    first i download the POI package from the apache web site, and i create a librarie and add the jar files to the jdev by using Tools --> Manage Libraries, this is the list of the jar file : poi-3.6-20091214.jar, poi-contrib-3.6-20091214.jar, poi-ooxml-3.6-3-20091214.jar and poi-scratchpad-3.6-20091214.jar.
    next, create a jsf page with a boutton, then i enable the binding of this page by using Design --> Page Properties --> component binding --> check Auto Bind
    in the action method of the buton i put the following code :
    public String cb1_action() throws FileNotFoundException, IOException {
    Connection conn = null;
    String url = "jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/";
    String dbName = "test";
    String driver = "com.mysql.jdbc.Driver";
    String username = "root";
    String userPassword = "";
    try {
    InputStream fs = new FileInputStream("/home/Rachid/test1.xls");
    HSSFWorkbook wb = new HSSFWorkbook(fs);
    HSSFSheet sheet = wb.getSheetAt(0);
    HSSFRow row = null;
    for (Iterator rowIt = sheet.rowIterator(); rowIt.hasNext();) {
    row = (HSSFRow) rowIt.next();
    HSSFCell code = row.getCell(0);
    HSSFCell nom = row.getCell(1);
    HSSFCell dt = row.getCell(2);
    java.util.Date date = dt.getDateCellValue();
    System.out.println("code "+code+" % nom "+nom +" % date " +date);
    try {
    Class.forName(driver).newInstance();
    } catch (ClassNotFoundException e) {
    } catch (InstantiationException e) {
    } catch (IllegalAccessException e) {
    try {
    conn = DriverManager.getConnection(url+dbName,username,userPassword);
    } catch (SQLException e) {
    Statement stmt = null;
    try {
    stmt = conn.createStatement();
    } catch (SQLException e) {
    String strQuery = "insert into importxl values ("+code+",'"+nom+"','"+date.getDay()+"/"+date.getMonth()+"/"+date.getYear()+"')";
    System.out.println(strQuery);
    try {
    stmt.close();
    } catch (SQLException e) {
    try {
    conn.close();
    } catch (SQLException e) {
    } catch (FileNotFoundException e) {
    e.printStackTrace();
    } catch (IOException e) {
    e.printStackTrace();
    return null;
    and when i run my page and click on the button, this exception page appear :

    Hi John,
    Ya ur right i too agree we can go for shared Libraries for reusable or massive apps but we still dont know whether OP is gng on the way and also i never said dont go for shared Libraries+
    May be he will be running the application locally for any testing purpose..... if it so i have suggested him not to keep the jar files in the folders outside the project....
    Why becoz incase the jar file kept in outside folder,
    if the folder gets deleted or some times if it kept in any shared folder and user loses the permission error will be thrown it cant be traced why the error gets throwned....
    if the jar is gng to be referred from local best way is to keep it in the project folder itself.............

  • Access Denied When Using MigrateUserAccount

    I am attempting to programmatically change the LoginName of forms auth users when they change their username in our system (outside of Sharepoint). I am using the following code within a custom web service:
    [WebMethod]
    public bool MigrateUser(string oldUsername, string newUsername)
    bool result = true;
    SPSecurity.RunWithElevatedPrivileges(delegate()
    try
    Microsoft.SharePoint.Administration.SPFarm farm = Microsoft.SharePoint.Administration.SPFarm.Local;
    farm.MigrateUserAccount(oldUsername, newUsername, false);
    catch (Exception e)
    result = false;
    return result;
    The oldUsername and newUsername variables are in the format of "i:0#.f|SPMembershipProvider|[email protected]". When running this code, the following exception is thrown:
    Access is denied. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070005 (E_ACCESSDENIED));    at Microsoft.SharePoint.Utilities.SPUtility.HandleAccessDenied(Exception ex)

    The user that this is running under is a farm admin and has Full Control permissions on the User Profile Service Application.
    Any idea on what may be causing this access denied error, and how I might be able to resolve it?
    Thank you,
    Matt

    1. Did you select Run as administrator in powershell
    When I perform this operation in PowerShell (logged in with the same user) it succeeds. However, when trying to do the operation programmically, it fails.
    2. Is user you trying to this command through has owner permission on config and content db
    Yes, the user has db_owner permission on the config and content databases.
    3. Does he have administrator permission on sharepoint system
    The user is a farm administrator and has WSS_ADMIN_WPG, WSS_RESTRICTED_WPG_V4, WSS_WPG, IIS_IUSRS and Performance Monitor Users group membership on the local machine.
    4. please share ULS log and event log when you recreate the issue

  • Windows 7 Open and Save As dialog box gives an "Access Denied" when using common Windows Explorer features.

    On many computers in our environment we have issues in Windows 7 when using the Common Dialog Box.  Within the dialog box we get the error Access Denied whenever we try to create a folder.  If we try to rename a file it doesn't give an error but
    it doesn't work either.  We cannot delete a file, still no error, but we can create shortcut.
    Within Windows Explorer of the same user it has no issues.
    Even if we run an application as administrator it has the same results.
    Example: Open Paint (right click "Run As Administrator"); then File, "Save As", right-click in empty space; then New, Folder.  This caused the error to popup "Unable to create the folder 'New folder'  Access is denied."
    Thanks for your help,
    Daniel

    Hi Daniel,
    How are things going? As the article provided above said, for such kind of issues generally it is caused by permission settings.

However, when setting a timeout via ServiceControl.setTimeout(int millisecods) method, the Weblogic API is throwing a NullPointerException when using an https endpoint. • Error when using a plugin from Developer Studio

    Hi,
    When trying to use VSS plugin from Developer Studio v2.0.14, I receive the error: "800401f3: Invalid class string".
    Does anyone received the same error in a similar situation and know how to fix it?
    Thank you in advance,
    Janina

    Hi Janina,
    First check whether you have the correct version of the plugin for the NWDS. Reason is, different versions of plugins exist for different versions of Eclipse. I wasn't able to find a version for Eclipse 2.0, may be it is hidden somewhere in the internet
    If you couldn't find the correct version then you need to manually Check-in and check-out the files from the VSS client outside the Eclipse IDE.
    Best regards,
    Guru.
