Weblogic Redirection Problem

Hi,
I have a requirement from my client. It is like whenever user access an application like http://weblogichost:7001/app1 the request should get redirected to a webserver url like http://webserverhost:7777/app1.
Is there any feature in Weblogic by which this functionality can be achieved? Please guide me in detail..

  • Weblogic redirect problem

    Hi All,
I am using py scripts which basically call WLST to create a domain and topology is as follows :
    a) there is a admin Server
    b) there is a cluster in side which there is one managed server
    c) we have an application which is deployed on managed server only
Now when we run our test against managed server , they get redirected to admin Server where our application is not deployed . This finally result in 404 and 405 errors. We are not using any kind of loadbalancer . Can someone please help in resolving this ?
if we deploy our application only to adminServer only , all tests pass.

    Hi Ravi,
It looks like using "proxy plugin" is not going to work in above scenario...because:
Admin And Managed Servers are running on the same Box:
    AdminServer : http://mycomputer:7001
    ManagedServer: http://mycomputer:80
So we have only the below 2 - options...to run the Proxy..
Option-1). Now suppose if we install the Proxy in the Same physical Box as Admin & ManagedServer Box...then we cannot run Apache on Port 80 because ManagedServer is already running on port 80.
Option-2). Suppose if we install Proxy on a Remote Physical Box on port 80...in this case this also doesnt look good...because the URL will completely change when we ill try to hit the admin Server via apache.
    Proxy Server address: http://remoteBox:80
then we will need to hit adminServer like : http://remoteBox:80/console (but the requirement is http://mycomputer:80/console)
So i dont think that the proxy solution is going to work in this case....It means we have the only option to alter the Admin Server & Managed Server Ports.
    Thanks

  • Proxy redirect problem

I'm having a redirect problem going through a weblogic proxy. An app I was using appears to be redirecting the browser always to localhost:7121 which won't work with access via the my domain.
To explain fully I set up a test JSP page which outputs request.getRequestURL().toString() so I could trace what was happening. The weblogic configuration is explained below:
    I'm using Weblogic 8.1 sp5. I've setup a 4 instances: a proxy (port 7120), redirector (port 7121) and cluster (two instances running on 7131, 7132)
    If I navigate to:
    http://localhost:7120/myapp/test.jsp my test page outputs: request.getRequestURL().toString() : http://localhost:7121/myapp/test.jsp
    and again to:
    http://localhost:7131/myapp/test.jsp my test page outputs: request.getRequestURL().toString() : http://localhost:7121/myapp/test.jsp
    or
    http://localhost:7132/myapp/test.jsp my test page outputs: request.getRequestURL().toString() : http://localhost:7121/myapp/test.jsp
The output is always the same ... it always says the requestURL is from localhost:7121 the redirector?
Can anyone help explain why I always get the same output? It is completely baffling me.
    Thanks,
    Matt

The problem was caused by incorrect configuration of FrontEndHttpPort and FrontEndListener and FrontEndHost in the cluster configuration. These values were incorrectly during config wizard install.

  • Weblogic redirects to administration port, not ssl port, for confidential

    Using WLS 9.2 MP2.
I added the following into web.xml to make sure all requests are using https.
It works fine when the administration port is not enabled (weblogic redirects the request to the ssl port).
But when the administration port is enabled, weblogic redirects the request to the administration port, not the ssl port, and hence get a 404 error for the page.
I opened BEA case 759384 in Nov last year, and CR354916 was filed, but have not heard back.

  • Dynamic form "Cancel" redirect  problem in frames - bugfix?

My question: Is there a "long run" down side to my implementing this modification to style.js?
The below post by Ionut:MX Division Support Specialist worked for me as a solution to a current form "click cancel" redirect navigation problem:
When a DWtoolbox dynamic form wizard form is placed on a page within frames, clinking on cancel does not return a user to the list that sent them to the form. The user is sent somewhere else.
    Begin Ionut post-------------
If you don't need to add extra parameters to the "Edit" button, you can solve the redirect problem by editing the "/includes/skins/style.js" file and replace:
    nxt_list_edit_link_form(this, myinput.previousSibling.href);
    with:
    nxt_list_edit_link_form(this, a.href);
    End----------------------
Thanks Ionut for the tip and anyone in support for letting me know if this is a safe mod for the long run,

    Hi Marny,
Hello Steve. I am new to Adobe & very confused. You seem to grasp the program very nicely, please help Me?
I´m not not Steve, however -- what problem do you have exactly, and is this problem related to the "Adobe Dreamweaver Developer Toolbox" extension or related to Dreamweaver ?
If it´s related to ADDT, please describe your problem by starting a new thread -- if it´s related to Dreamweaver, please post your questions in the general Dreamweaver forums.

  • Webgate redirection problem

i have installed a webgate on a reverse proxy for weblogic
i am not able to login, the browsers says it has gone in the loop.
    how to resolve this issue?

I don't know whether the issue is common but I applied a patch for the apache webgate which resolved my problem. Forgot the patch number but I googled abt the issue and found some links... I had a different use case though not sure if its valid in your case.
One more thing to take care is the preferred host in the access gate information in Oracle Access Manager. The redirection usually takes place to the value specified there.

  • Crystal Report in an iFrame redirect problem

    Hi!
I have built a page with a only Crystal Report on it, which I display in an iFrame on another page.
I have a hyperlink on the page that is used to redirect the iFrame by assigning the iFrame a name and setting the target of the hyperlink to the iFrame. When the user clicks the hyperlink, it will redirect the iFrame.
This all works fine up until the point at which you generate the actual Crystal report. After the report has generated, attempting to redirect the iFrame via the hyperlink causes a new browser tab/window to open. A few tests that I have run using Javascript or codebehind circumvent this issue, but as it stands I cannot use this method.
This issue has only just arisen with the VS2010 version of Crystal Reports. The older versions do not have this problem.
Research I have done into the issue have been fruitless and have tinkered with the Report Viewer itself a bit to no avail.
Is there an explanation for this issue and/or a means of getting past this?
Any help or nudge in a new direction is very much appreciated!
    Regards,
    Frank.

    Hello Frank:
This issue has been reported to R&D for a fix (ADAPT01554950). At this time, the fix is targeted (not guaranteed) for Service Pack 3. ETA; mid 2012.

  • GPO (as a whole) problem or Folder Redirection Problem?

    Hello everyone,
After a couple hours of looking at different TN articles on folder redirection I just can't get it to work properly. I had some major system errors and had to perform a clean install of the OS. My folder redirections from the old install seem to be in place
and are about the same size despite me backing up all the content before the reinstall on each terminal (4 of them) to a usb drive.
I enabled folder redirection through the dashboard and performed a gpupdate /force I see the GPO in the Group Policy editor but none of my machines seem to be accepting any group policies now that I look at it and write this I have firefox set to update
to the latest .msi and it isn't doing that either could this be a bigger problem than just folder redirection?
Any tips or links to articles I may have not seen would be much appreciated.
    Thank you in advance everyone.

    Hi James,
Based on your description, I understand that you enable folder redirection (click Implement Group Policy on
Dashboard) on a Windows Server 2012 Essentials (or a Windows Server 2012 R2 Essentials?).
On current situation, please refer to following and check.
    1. Would you please let me know edition information of this client computer?
    2. On the server essentials, please open Group Policy Management. Then navigate to WSE Group Policy Folder Redirection and click it. In right panel, navigate to WMI Filtering
and select WSE Group Policy WMI Filter, then click Open button. Please check
Queries in the WMI Filter. You can psot complete queries here (include Namespace and Query).
    3. On the client computer, please run the command in a command prompt:
gpresult /z > c:\policy.txt. Then check this policy.txt in C drive or post the result here.
If any update, please feel free to let me know.
    Hope this helps.
    Best regards,

    Hello,
We are at initial phase of deploying ISE 1.2 in our environment for Wireless Guest Users.
I have configured ISE and WLC to talk to each other which is working fine. An SSID with MAC-Filtering is also configured on WLC and ACL only allowing ISE and DNS traffice.
I have configured proper authentication and authorization policies on ISE. Now, when I try to connect my device (laptop and android mobile), I see my device gets associated with the SSID (Demo) and gets the right IP Address from DHCP and right VLAN from WLC. I also see a redirect url in the detailed authentication logs. But the problem is that when I open my browser on my device, it doesn't get redirected to the guest portal url. Now since I can't get there, I can't continue with the rest of the process of authentication, COA and final ACL for internet access.
Can some one please either guide me the correct steps that I need to follow, if I have mis configured something or advise if this is a bug.
    Thanks in advance.

The ACL is definitely used to define what traffic is re-directed to ISE and what traffic is not redirected. Having the permit-all statement at the end will break redirection. If you are using flex-connect then you will need to use flex-connect ACLs and apply those to the flex-connect APs. The links below should give you an idea of what needs to be done:

  • Redirect problem in IE 9

    Hi,
i made a custom page sentry function to authorize via NTLM. It works fine with IE 8 and Firefox.
With IE 9 (Windows 7) the redirect via <meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0; URL=' || vUrl || '" />'); doesn't work. The user sees the html code and has then manually press the refresh button for going on to the 1st page in the application.
    Here i have my Proof-of-Concept http://www.greenit.li/greenIT/Willkommen_files/Oracle_APEX_ProofOfConceptNTLMPLSQL.pdf
Has somebody an idea how to solve this problem?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Martin

    Hi Martin,
    I think you should use
    sys.owa_util.mime_header('text/html', FALSE);after the
htp.init;so that the browser knows it's HTML code.
BTW, the PL/SQL based NTML authentication approach isn't really secure because it's not verifying the user/pwd with an MS Active Directory server.

Basically, in a WLS environment, the default remote commit provider is automatically set to the new weblogic.kodo.event.ClusterRemoteCommitProvider, which uses the WLS clustering protocol to communicate cache notifications. The error that you're seeing indicates that cluster services are not available in the execution context. You can probably get around this by explicitly setting the 'kodo.RemoteCommitProvider' option to 'sjvm' (if you're not running in a cluster), or to whatever you had it set to in the past. (I'm guessing that it was unset in the past, as otherwise, the configuration should be picking up that instead of the new default.)
However, personally, I much prefer the new persistence.xml configuration file format, compared to JCA configuration. (You can trivially use the persistence.xml format with Kodo JDO, even though it's a JPA-specified feature.) You might want to look into moving away from JCA and to the persistence.xml style instead.
If you do this, you'll end up putting a META-INF/persistence.xml file in your EAR (and possibly a META-INF/persistence-configuration.xml file, if you want to use the strongly-typed Kodo XML configuration format), and replacing your JNDI lookups with java:comp/env/persistence/<persistence-unit-name>. (I think that's the right location. I might be mistaken, though.)
Also, I can't guarantee that WebLogic 10 really handles JCA configuration all that well; some bits of that exception make it look like maybe some resources are not available in the classloader, which is surprising. So, it's possible that there is some sort of more fundamental JCA problem here (and not just a problem with the new remote commit provider).

  • Links in Weblog redirecting to old URL

O.K., I've beaten this to death and I'm stumped. I am running a weblog server and for some reason when I click on the majority of links ("comment", etc.) within the blog I'm being redirected to an old URL that is non existant. This domain was one I deleted using Server Admin. At one time I had this old domain setup with performance cache enabled so of course it is redirecting through 16080. I've used terminal to look at the etc/httpd.conf file, etc. and I cannot find out why and where this "cached" URL is. It is like when I deleted it from Server Admin, it didn't delete it under the GUI. Please help me locate the file that is causing this redirection...
    Power Mac G5   Mac OS X (10.4.7)

try taking a look at your blog's config file and i'll bet you will find the old url saved in there. change it and it should work. you may need to restart weblog service for the change to take depending on your version.
    /Library/Tomcat/blojsom_root/webapps/ROOT/WEB-INF/yourblogname/blog.properties
edit the file with vi or emacs if you can. any plain text editor will do.
