Weblogic with Informix
Hello, I´ve connected an informix database with weblogic sucess but when I´ve changed some parameters in the informix database (client_locale, db_locale, dblang and server_locale) I realized the connection didn´t work. It show me the folloging error :
weblogic.common.ResourceException: Could not create pool connection. The DBMS driver exception was: [BEA][Informix JDBC Driver][Informix](Internal Error) Message -23197 not found.
Do you know why? Can anyone help me, please?
Thank you very much.
We tried every possible combination and what worked was that the parameters
had to be in a specific order.

Weblogic 11g migration problems with informix drivers
Hi
I´m having some isues with informix drivers in weblogic 11g.
Old Version: WebLogic 10.3.0 / 10gR3
New Version: WebLogic 10.3.5 / 11g
Daba base: informix 10
I have 2 datasources configured are test correctly. So, the database connection is established.
Also, I put informis drivers in the lib directory of the server, and on startup they are picked.
<Following extensions directory contents added to the end of the classpath:
C:\bea11g\user_projects\domains\base_domain\lib\ifxjdbc.jar;C:\bea11g\user_projects\domains\base_domain\lib\ifxjdbcx.jar;C:\bea11g\user_projects\domains\base_domain\lib\ifxlang.jar;C:\bea11g\user_projects\domains\base_domain\lib\ifxlsupp.jar;C:\bea11g\user_projects\domains\base_domain\lib\ifxsqlj.jar;C:\bea11g\user_projects\domains\base_domain\lib\ifxtools.jar>
But when the aplication starts, in serverLog you can see
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.informix.jdbc.IfxConnection
It seems like the application couldn´t access to de jar...
ThanksHi,
I think your issue is been related to iAS. If so please place your query in iAS forum thread. So that you can get valuable suggestion.

DB Adapter configuration with Informix DB
Hello everyone,
I have setup a Informix datasource on Weblogic 10.3.6 by selecting weblogic's informix XA driver. I've a BPEL which invokes DB adapter with a pure SQL query (a little complicated query). But its throwing following exception while testing:
Exception occured during invocation of JCA binding: "JCA Binding execute of Reference operation 'getDetailsFromDB' failed due to: DBWriteInteractionSpec Execute Failed Exception.
unknown failed. Descriptor name: [unknown].
Caused by java.sql.SQLException: Cannot call Connection.commit in distributed transaction. Transaction Manager will commit the resource manager when the distributed transaction is committed..
Please see the logs for the full DBAdapter logging output prior to this exception. This exception is considered retriable, likely due to a communication failure. To classify it as non-retriable instead add property nonRetriableErrorCodes with value "0" to your deployment descriptor (i.e. weblogic-ra.xml). To auto retry a retriable fault set these composite.xml properties for this invoke".
I've also made sure to have platformClassName as 'org.eclipse.persistence.platform.database.InformixPlatform' under the settings for javax.resource.cci.ConnectionFactory in DbAdapter under deployments.
Can anyone throw some light as to what is going wrong here?
Thanks
JahangirActually, it was my mistake. I created XA data source but i provided the name in non XA data source field in the JNDI.
Thanks

Integrate two weblogic with LDAP embedded
I need connect a weblogic with a LDAP embedded. I make the settings as follows:
1)Create a new provider of type LDAPAuthenticator.
2)The parameters the provider are:
<sec:authentication-provider xsi:type="wls:ldap-authenticatorType">
<sec:name>Authenticator</sec:name>
<sec:control-flag>SUFFICIENT</sec:control-flag>
<wls:port>7041</wls:port>

<wls:use-retrieved-user-name-as-principal>true</wls:use-retrieved-user-name-as-principal>
</sec:authentication-provider>
The problem is that the application do not authenticated. I think that the problem is because do not returns all attributes of the users. This is log de LDAPemebedeb the weblogic:

any ideas?..
Have you made this configuration?
Thanks....As far as I know, you cannot navigate between workspaces without logins.
You can do it, if the applications are in the same workspace

Hi,
Does anyone an easy way of downloading weblogs with source codes?
If I select all/copy&paste into Microsoft Word 2000 (SP3), the source codes get this "nice" frame, where they are scrollable. When I save it and open it again, the source code is not scrollable, so I can only diplay the part of it:-(
Is there a way of avoid it from my side?
I know from the composer side it can be done, as foir example Sergei did in his weblog:
/people/sergey.korolev/blog/2005/03/14/the-time-for-me-to-have-a-badi-of-my-own
Or is it planned to change this annoying scrollable code frame?
Thanks,
PeterPrinting of Weblogs
Take a look at that thread for some possible help.
As for the "annoying scrollable code frame" well we've been doing it for awhile now and nobody has been complaining too loudly.
If the thought of everyone is to be rid of the textarea then I suppose I wouldn't have a problem using the styles instead. -

Unable to start weblogic with JRockit
i am using a 32 bit machine to start weblogic server on JRockit JVM. Doing this in order to have already installed Oracle SOA suite and when I start weblogic using JRockit it is Running out of memory. Tried the solutions given in the forum but not able to resolve this issue.
Also when using jdk getting permgen error. Tried with resetting the maxPermSize value etc in the startweblogic server but not able to do so.
For JRockit OOM has any one faced a similar issue?
Can any one help me with same ?Thanks Carlos. The value was getting overridden in startweblogic.cmd for Sun jdk but was not sufficient for my problem as I was using Jrockit and with JRockit there is no Permsize issue inturn there was OOM.
I followed these steps:
1. changed maxpermsize in startweblogic.
2. Tried increasing system swap space.
3. Used a profiler which controls JVM running, tried reduce memory leaks, but none worked.
I switched to JRockit for weblogic
1. tried increasing memory etc. Finally I switched to 64 bit machine as suggested in one of the forums for JRockit oom.
Now both jdk and JRockit weblogic with all SOA components working successfully.
Thanks,

Using Resin and Weblogic with Apache
Hi,
Does anybody know if i can use Weblogic to serve JSP and Resin to
serve some servlets within Apache?
Let me explain the case:
We are testing to setup Weblogic with Apache as the webserver.
Weblogic will be used to serve the JSP pages so i configured the
httpd.conf as follows:
<IfModule mod_weblogic.c>
MatchExpression *.jsp
WebLogicHost localhost
WebLogicPort [port]
</IfModule>
This works fine and i can serve the jsp-pages without any problems.
Since we work with thirdparty software we need to use Resin too. This
is not much trouble to implement in Apache and i can make sure that
some servlets are handled by caucho instead of Weblogic:
<Location /servlet/Inventory>
SetHandler caucho-request
</Location>
The above request works fine too!
However i have to load the resin.conf file for full use of Resin in
Apache. This setting however implicates that JSP pages aren't served
by Weblogic anymore but are sent to Resin also. Even with the
MatchExpression setting in httpd.conf, Apache still thinks JSP needs
to be sent to Resin instead of Weblogic.
Is there some way i can make sure that the JSP pages are served by
Weblogic and not by Resin???
Thanx in advanceHi all,
Well, i figured it all out and if anyone would like to give it a try
to, just do the following.
The mod_caucho.so file was compiled with the option to handle .jsp
files. I hashed out the following line in
/src/c/plugin/common/config.c:
cse_add_locatio ..... jsp etc.
And then i configure the mod_caucho.so with:
./configure --with-apxs=/apps/apache/bin/apxs
Now i have a perfect mod_caucho.so file which does not handle .jsp.
All calls with .jsp are processed by weblogic, just as i wanted!
Have fun with it (i shall :-)

Does Weblogic with Apex 4.0 replaces OAS/SAO/Oracel web tier like HTTP sever functionality ?
background of quesion is:
we had hosted our oracle webplsql application using Oracle web tier using DAD configuration.
now some one sugegsted that we can use WLS(Weblogic server) with Apex 4.0,that too can work as HTTP sever for Oracel Webplsql application.Hi,
>
You asked:
Does Weblogic with Apex 4.0 replaces OAS/SAO/Oracel web tier like HTTP sever functionality ?
>
OAS = Oracle Application Server
SAO = Service Oriented Architecture ( this is not a server)
Oracle Web Tier is a bundle of matching servers for the web tier. Again is not a single server, its a collection.
APEX = A Rapid Application Development tool for webapplication development.
Oracle Apex runs with a number a J2EE Containers (Application Servers) and Oracle HTTP Server as well. It does not use OAS, only the OHS (mod_pls) and Cache, when configured on OHS.
APEX web access can be configured with ApexListener in a J2EE Container like WLS, Glassfish, etc.
PLSQL Web applications can be integrated into APEX applications and features, in the loose sense of the term, as they are.
Please search the forum to see what others have been doing for this.
I hope this clears up some aspects of your query.

How to use unload query using JDBC with Informix database
Hi friends,
How can i use unload query using JDBC with Informix database?
When i use it as "unload to 'abc.txt' select * from ........" it gives syntax error.I want to take the data of a table to a file. With dbaccess i can use it but i need to do it using jdbc.
Thanks,
Raneesh. To the best of my ability to tell, the right way to use this product from within Power Query would be to use its API. Unfortunately, we don't currently support either of the methods needed to be able to authenticate with the service (OAuth 2.0 and a relatively-custom
digest-based method). Adding a mechanism to allow use of arbitrary OAuth-protected resources is a fairly high priority for us, and I hope we'll be able to deliver something before mid-2015.
Scraping the website is very hard to do well -- both from an authentication and from a data discovery perspective. -
HI ,
Can any body please suggest me any website (post some links) where I can get some good knowledge on
using Weblogic with Flex (we are not using data services).
I googled a lot but could not find anything realy good.
Thanks
NashPlease don't double post. If you're not using data services, then the only
thing that you need to know is where Web logic webroot is located, which
should be pretty clear in that web server documentation. -

Multiple db2 instances with informix in a single transaction
Hi All,
Can somebody tell how this can be achieved.
I do have 3 db2 instances in three physical mahines. Within a transaction I will
only be writing to a one instance but will be retieving data from the other two
instances. In the same transaction I will be writing to a Informix database as
well. All the systems are on windows.
The application server is Weblogic 7.02.
For DB2 the driver is db2jcc driver which does not support XA transactions. And
for informix we do use the driver which comes along with the informix installation
which is a XA supported driver.
We do have seperate TXDatasources created in the Web logic server and EJBs are
used in the project.
As welogic can give the XA features only for one none XA driver. How about implementing
the above scenario.
Waiting for a early response.Hello Sebastien,
Thanks for your response!!!
Let me make it bit more clear. In deploymewnt descriptor,we define jndi name for any resource and do a lookup on that resource from the code.
Let us consider that resource as JDBC data source for our discussion.usually you define any jdbc data source under a JDBC resource provider.
So my question is,in a single transaction can you access multiple data sources defines under multiple JDBC resource providers.
Ex:A datasource "x "defined under resource provider "A"[say DB2 jbdc provider] and a datasource "y" defined under respurce provider "B"[say mysql jdbc provider].
Thanks -

I make a new Empty Project like J2EE13. After create a new JSP (Web tier -> JSP).
I chose j2ee version 1.3. So I put some jsp code inside, like
<body>
<%
out.write("Teste J2EE 1.3");
%></body>
After I create a new Deployment Profiles WAR File.
Make a build, a .war file and .ear and everythink worked.
So I make a J2EE Deplyment Descriptor Wizard with version 1.3
And make rebuil project.
JDev don't finish the rebuild. The thread dump with CRTL+BREAK :
