WebMail Forms

I've had great success using this form generator http://phpfmg.sourceforge.net/
As well as Cognito Forms www.cognitoforms.com
Otherwise, I use built-in form generators in Adobe Muse and Dreamweaver so it's all pretty easy. I wouldn't know what to tell you from scratch.

Does anyone have any GOOD suggestions or links on how to set up a "functioning" WebMail form?
I can create forms all day long, but getting the server-side scripting done correctly had been a thorn in my side for weeks now.  I just can't seem to get them to work properly, or at all for that matter.
It has to do with the coding for the SMTP that I can't seem to grasp.  I know I need the correct port number as well; all of this I have, but it's the coding that I am messing up.
Any suggestions?

  • Rich Internet Webmail gone

    I've been using the Rich Internet Webmail since it was first available, but sometime in the last 2 weeks it has reverted back to the crappy basic mail view and I don't have an option in the Settings to switch it back.  I've gone through the process of "signing up" again but it just tells me to go the the Settings and change it, which I can't do.
    Any help?

    Below is a pic of the basic mail view I now see.  Previously I would see the Rich Internet Webmail display similar to the demo at http://www.verizon.net/micro/webmail/form/Webmail3preview.htm.  This demo is not completely up-to-date with all the latest updates but you should get the idea.  It has a preview pane at the bottom, drag-and-drop, row selection, etc.
    I didn't change any settings, just logged in one day and it was different.
    <image>
    The preview pane at least can be turned on and off. Go into General Settings and there should be an option for preview/no preview.
    I see from your screenshot that you are on a small business account, so your portal may be different from ours.

  • Unable to get the "Submit a form" action working with Webmail: Gmail

    I am attempting to create interactive PDF forms for the website which the end user will email back once filled out.
    I have added a link to the form that runs the "Submit a form" action, this appears to work if you have a mail client installed, but if you specify Webmail "Gmail", the system appears to start the process with:
    First asking you for the email account details to add
    You are then asked to allow Adobe Acrobat permissions to your access your email account
    It then attempts to create a draft message but fails with:  "Error while creating message ..."
    NB: I have logged into my Gmail account on the client PC and I am able to send emails.
    Any ideas if this has a known problem and if a fix is available, without a fix it makes interactive PDF's a bit pointless?

  • Submit Form Via Webmail Is Not Creating Email In Drafts Folder

    Bottom Line Up Front: PDF's Submit via Email (Webmail) is not creating the email in the Webmail account.
    What I am using:
    =============
    * Adobe Acrobat Pro XI; however, I have a lot of users using Adobe Reader.
    * Yahoo! email
    What I am trying to do:
    ==================
    Send the data from a completed pdf to an email address via webmail.
    What Works:
    ===========
    Using the default application - Microsoft Outlook, the form's data is placed into an XML attachment and an email is created for review and transmission.
    What Isn't Working:
    ===============
    Sending the same form via the Webmail feature. Acrobat first provided the Yahoo account name and password handshake screen, and then I authorized Acrobat to use my Yahoo account. The form provided a status bar that indicated the email was being created and the attachment being added to the email; however, no email was ever created (and placed in my draft folder) and no email was sent (checked there too.)
    What I've Confirmed:
    ================
    I've gone to my Yahoo account's "Manage Apps and Website Connections" and confirmed that Acrobat is permitted to create emails (among other things). I've tested the non-webmail (default) email. I've confirmed in my Acrobat Pro XI preferences that the email account is there.
    All help is greatly appreciated.

    Yes. However, if I receive that 500th back I have violated the License. Though I believe you need to go back and read it again It seems to say you can only send out 500 copies.
    Either way would be breaking the intent of the license agreement.
    WE have fought hard just to get this little change made (for benefit of very small Business or even non-profits). So we don't want to cause Adobe to pull this out of the next version because of misuse.

  • Why can't I get my web forms to send to adobe webmail?

    I’m a newbie with Business Catalyst. So please bare with me.
    Why can’t I get my web forms to send to adobe webmail accounts? The forms work fine with my email accounts hosted elsewhere.

    Are the webmail addresses being used by site admins and users?
    I suspect you have set up the site admins and users to use your other email accounts.

  • How can I stop gmail login from hijacking my blueyonder webmail

    ( Please note that I have posted this story, as a reply to someone else's gmail problem; but now realise it should be a separate question. At least I realised..... eventually.)
    I recently set up a gmail account: in my ignorance, I thought it was a good idea. How wrong!!!
    Since getting this computer several years ago, I've had no big problems with Firefox; but weirdly I couldn't get thunderbird to connect to the server: so, I've just been using Virgin-media's webmail. A year or so ago, Virgin passed their email service over to Goggle: making their webmail now over-complicated and messy on the screen- with many click-buttons duplicated, and some useful functions have been removed completely. Even with the old-style appearance option; my experience is worsened. For example, if I want to "add a new contact", I now have to open another tab in the new "standard" view: there is no longer any way to do it in the preferred previous view!! I don't like the new "standard" view because over half of the screen is covered by things other than my emails! I don't want to constantly have to look at multiple search boxes; and all those repeated clickables.
    So, now I'll describe what happened when I registered for gmail: to my deepest regret!!!!! Suddenly I found my open virgin webmail page (tab) was being repeatedly HIJACKED, and taken a gmail login page. I never asked for any synchronization/amalgamation of my virgin (blueyonder.co.uk) email account and this flaming gmail account. So I closed the gmail account: because it is too much trouble for sweet f.a. in benefit! Google confirmed the gmail account is closed.
    But the same blasted thing keeps happening: my open blueyonder page disappears, and the gmail login page appears. Goggle must have installed some form of MALWARE.... IT IS HIJACKING MY FIREFOX !!!
    I have hunted all around goggle, including forums, for info on how to remove this unwanted malware. There is no info on how to remove anything goggle! There is no access route to ask actual people at goggle.
    Perhaps Firefox folk can help? Please!

    Please start by clearing your cache. [[How to clear the Firefox cache]] This will clear all old history of the page. Since Google has confirmed the account is closed but the MX records for the domain still have google servers: [http://mxtoolbox.com/SuperTool.aspx?action=mx%3ablueyonder.co.uk%29&run=toolpage] the email address will still be directed to a gmail login page. When closing a gmail account it can take up to 24 hours to fully close. Clearing the browser's cache will remove the stored local cache from the last 24 hours.
    If there is malware, or the page is being hijacked there are some recommended scanners below:

  • Webmail no longer works with Firefox 4.0.1

    Hi,
    I recently upgraded to FireFox 4.0.1 and I can no longer log into my Webmail account, i am presented with the following error message: "Remote XUL - this page uses an unsupported technology that is no longer available by default un Firefox. Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.
    Secondly, Firefox no longer opens the following URL which is OK in older verisons of FireFox
    Please help

    n Firefox make sure you have at least two (2) tabs open - (Ctrl+T opens a new tab)
    In the address bar of one tab, type "about:config" - minus the quotes, of course
    You'll see a warning. Click "I'll be careful, I promise" and continue to the configuration page.
    There's a search bar at the top. Type "js" - again, minus the quotes.
    In the results you'll see pdfjsviewer.disabled with a vaule of false. Click it once, then right click it and choose Toggle to make the value "True".
    Close that tab.
    Click Tools>Options and go to the Applications tab
    Locate Adobe Acrobat Document (or Portable Document File (PDF)) in the list and click the drop-down to select "Use Adobe Reader (in Firefox)". (Mine doesn't have that because I also have Acrobat Pro installed)
    Click OK.
    Click Tools>Addons to see that the Acrobat plugin is installed
    Close and restart Firefox. PDFs should now open in a browser window with the Reader plugin.
    Note: This doesn't work for me since the update to 23 and I should have the choice of Reader or Acrobat plugins. Firefox is trying desperatelt to FORCE users to use their crappy PDFJSViewer, which doesn't handle multimedis or forms PDFs.
    As to the NPAPI and security risks, that's blown WAY out of proprotion. There are antivirus companies trying to sell their products to Mac users (who will NEVER need them) and they use this "urban legend" to bolster their case.

  • Change filename prompted when submit form by email

    My form has a submit by email button for users to submit the filled form through email(attached as pdf). Upon clicking the submit button, I want the pdf attachment to be in a customized filename (eg:YYYYMMDD_form1_txtfield1.pdf), or the least if user choose to submit using external webmail and prompted to first save the file, the filename(on the Save As dialog) will automatically be set to the customized filename.
    Is this possible? or Is there any other alternatives? I had went through a number of forums/articles on this but I did not find the solution.
    Thanks loads.

    The send pdf in an email will save the fiel as is in a temp folder with the name of the PDF that already exists. If you want to change that name you will have to do a file save operation. For security reasons you cannot automate the file save without the user's knowledge (they have to click OK). I do not know of a way to seed the SaveAs dialog with the filename that you want.

  • Problem with Business Catalyst Webmail

    Hello,
    I built a website for a client, using Adobe Muse, that is hosted by Business Catalyst. On the website's Contact Us page I placed an Adobe Muse 'Simple Contact ' widget/form with three (3) fields: Name, Email, and Message. The form worked as intended until the end of December 2014. Since then, the information in the 'Email' field is being changed.
    The site has four different email accounts through Business Catalyst. For the sake of discussion lets call them:
    [email protected]
    [email protected]
    [email protected]
    [email protected]
    The Messages from the Muse Simple Contact form are sent to [email protected].  When the emails are viewed in Business Catalyst's 'Webmail' the email address that was entered into the Simple Contact forms's 'Email' field doesn't show up in the 'From' field as it always has. Instead the 'From' field shows that the email was sent from [email protected] regardless of what was entered, by the sender, in the 'Email' field of the Simple Contact form. It make no difference what email provider's address is entered in the field - @AOL, @Yahoo, @Roadrunner, @Hotmail, @Gmail, etc. - they are all changed to [email protected]
    Likewise, when the client tries to reply to the customer's inquiry the 'To' field is populated with Mail-4@website not the email address the sender entered into the 'Email' field on the Muse Simple Contact form.
    If I changed the Muse Simple Contact form so that the mail is directed to either [email protected] or [email protected] the problem exists on those accounts as well.
    I'm not sure where the problem lies, so I am making inquiries both here and in the Adobe Muse forum - even though I'm almost certain the problem is with BC's 'Webmail' client.
    Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this and how to fix it?
    This is making it overly difficult for the client to respond to their customer's needs. I'm really up against a wall on this and have an angry client that is ready to walkaway from Muse and Business Catalyst

    Can i just check with you that this is correct?
    Thanks

  • Firefox4 gives error message when trying to display inbox in Lotus Webmail

    At work, I use Firefox4 beta 11 with the IE2 extension enabled. The company uses a single sign on portal which directs traffic to specific locations.
    I log into the network (SSO) and bring up lotus webmail. The application seems to start up normally, but when it displays the inbox, an error is generated.
    Message: uncaught exception: [Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80040111 (NS_ERROR_NOT_AVAILABLE) [nsIDOMHTMLDocument.createElementNS]" nsresult: "0x80040111 (NS_ERROR_NOT_AVAILABLE)" location: "JS frame :: http://<redacted>/iNotes/Forms8.nsf/iNotes/Proxy/?OpenDocument&Form=s_JSViewList&l=en&gz&CR&MX&TS=20100524T052710,66Z&charset=ISO-8859-1 :: CyB :: line 6" data: no]

    Sorry, not yet implemented
    Date: Wed Feb 09 2011 08:42:50 GMT-0500 (Eastern Standard Time)

    Canonical UserName: CN=<redacted>
    h_PageUnid: 52482A2D50E6CB5E852568D4007AFDFD
    When I enable the lotus webmail for display using the IE2 engine, the website works fine. At the moment, this is the workaround that I use, however, I would like to see Firefox be able to handle the webmail application directly.
    From what I can see in the error message, the call stack is not implemented so I have no idea exactly how the issue is being triggered. I recommend enabling the call stack - if nothing else but to assist with further troubleshooting.
    I will be glad to assist you in any way that I can to resolve this problem.
    Thanks,
    Craig

    I updated everything and I just got this message. It will open a newer one page site though so it must be something to do with the file and update.

  • NEED HELP RE:VERIZON WEBMAIL ISP FILTERS; I HAVE VERIZON FIOS

    I hope someone can reach out and help me.  Recently I have not been receiving my QVC Today's Special Emails on a Daily Basis; since approximately the beginning of September.  I have Verizon Webmail.
    I never had a problem receiving these daily emails before.
    Did Verizon change something within in the Server, etc.?
    I contacted QVC they said to contact my Internet Service Provider. They have everything correct on their end.
    They send them out a few minutes after midnight on a daily basis. They said if My ISP service/server is busy or maxed out this could be a reason why I haven't been receiving them.
    I have the correct Contact Email in the my contacts.
    How Do I adjust the Internet Service Provider Filters?
    Or does anyone have another way so I can fix this problem.
    P.S.. I check my spam and it is not in there either.
    Many Thanks.

    Yeah, that happens all too often with Verizon email.  You get email reguarly from a legitimate source.  One day the email just stops.  The sender does NOT get any failed mail messages and from the POV of the sender they sent email succesfully to you.  The email is lost in the Verizon Ether.
    Go to the Verizon email account holder WhiteList form and complete it.
    http://my.verizon.com/micro/whitelist/RequestForm.aspx?id=member
    Send the below URL to QVC and have QVC fill out the ISP WhiteList form
    http://my.verizon.com/micro/whitelist/RequestForm.aspx?id=isp
    Good luck !

  • PDF form - email subject line = field

    I am creating a PDF form on our intranet to be filled out and submitted via email with a submit button. All works well, but the recipients would like the subject line of the email to be info from the first field on the form so that it is easily searchable. I am using Adobe LiveCycle Designer 8.0 (also have Acrobat 8 Professional) but haven't found anywhere to edit this info.  I have read thread referencing possible solutions by utilizing javascript, but I'm not sure where to begin where javascript is concerned (not my forte).
    Right now the form is Submitted by Email via a "Button" set to Control Type: Submit. Under the Submit tab I have set the Submit to URL field to - mailto:"emailaddress".
    Also, the recipients mentioned that they can't see the PDF in the body of their email, instead its only an attachment. We are all using Outlook and Outlook Webmail and would like to see the PDF in the body.  Is there an easy way to accomplish this as well?
    Any helpful suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

    Now I understand what you mean .....if you are using a true submit button then the validations will run automatically. If you are using a button for programming and that is calling the submit button then you will have to fire the validations yourself. The command to do this is:
    if
    (form1.execValidate()){ SubmitButtonName.execEvent("click")
    else {
         app.alert("You have validation errors...");
    where form1 is the root node of your form. If the validations run and there are no errors then it will return a true value and the submitbutton will be pressed. If there are errors then the message box will appear. and the submit will not occur.
    Hope that helps
    Paul
