Webservice consumption in abap working, but which URL to be checked.

Dear Experts,
I am working on Consumer Proxy in SOAMANGER,
I have created a logical port and have done all the settings.
When i click on Ping Webservice, it is returning the message as ping is successfull.
When through ABAP also i am not facing any error.
But where do i check data that is going to that URL
I am using SOAP UI.

Once you save config in SRT_UTIL, it will again show the web service calls.

Hi Experts,
Im trying to consume a webservice which I got from ESB(IBM) team. Basically I got a wsdl file.
First I have created a proxy from SE80 by uploading this wsdl file and I have activated sucessfully.
Second from SOA Manager I have created Logical port for this wsdl file.
Finally I wrote one ABAP program to consume webservice and got the return message.
Now for this I have few doubts.
1) Because I'm uploading WSDL file manually, in future if there is any change in the webservice do i need to upload new wsdl file again?
2) In the wsdl file endpoints like URL will change from dev to qa and prod. If that is the case, from SAP how can we transport from dev to Quality to Prod? Do we need to manually change those urls? How can we transport to different servers?
3)suppose I have uploaded 2 wsdl files. And in SOA manager I have created logical ports with the same name. Then in our program how can we call the right service as there are two logical ports with the same name?

It depends of the changes. Suppose, one optional input parameter has been added in the wsdl, and you don't need this parameter from the client side. You would not need to regenereate the client proxy from the new wsdl. But if you want to play it safe, regenerate the proxy each time the wsdl is modified.
It should not change every day !

This is runtime configuration that you have to do manually in each system. It cannot be transported and should not as it would have no meaning.

It would be a bad idea to create 2 different logical ports with the same name but if you do, thare will be no confusion because the logical port is defined for the client proxy.

Debug ABAP consumer proxy -- which URL?

Hi experts,
I've a question concerning the URL to be used when debugging cunsumer proxies...
So, I take transaction SICF on my ECC 6.0 backend system.
In the menu Client --> Recorder --> Activate recording.
There I just take the user I'm logged on with. Should this user also exist on the SAP PI system?
Next, I need to fill in the Client URL Path. What should I do there?

Hi guys,
I'am still facing the same problem. Queues in PI are registered, the async outbound proxy call gives the same message "Call successful - Empty result". But no messages are shown in SXMB_MONI. I've followed the link above. Other messages from sync scenarios are shown. Services (EO, EOIO) are registered and activated.
In Adapter Monitoring no messages are shown. I am using XI adapter as sender and JMS sender as receiver.
I've stopped JMS-sendin-Queue and there is no message too.
My issue was resolved by COMMIT WORK of proxy-call.

I want to consume webservice that is in ABAP syatem in webdynpro java project .

Hi,
You need to create the Adaptive Webservice Model.
After that you need to create the destination for this WebService in the below location of Visual Admin.
services>WebServiceSecurity>Dynamic WebService Proxies-->Click on Create button.
And you need to give this destination in the properties of Webservice Model.

This destination is to handle the url, credentials (uname, pwd) dynamically.

actaully process on a high level is like this.
1. first you need to create an client proxy., For creating this go to SE80
and follow this link

2. then you can consume this service using the service call option of the web dynpro
here go to the web dynpro comp and right click on it and create-> service call
and use the proxy created in the first step here.
it will create one custom controller which you can use.

BSP is working as a URL but not as a BSP iView

Hello,
I have created a certain BSP page.
If I open it's URL on the server directly: https://<server>:1443/sap/bc/bsp/sap/zgpd_upload/default.htm
it is working but if I build a BSP iView on top of it hangs when I open it (loads and loads forever).
If I try to reach it as a URL from inside the portal (using URL iView) it can't locate this address. The error I receive is:
"Unable to fetch site .Error # 302"
At first I thought it is an issue with the proxy service configuration on the portal but on our test this application is working with the same proxy configuration.
Any ideas?

two things you need to do.
1. go to transaction SE80, from the dropdown choose BSP application and in the input field just below the dropdown enter your BSP application name. and hit enter.
no you will see a tree structure below the inputfield with root node being the name of your BSP application, right click on it and click activate.
2. go to transaction SICF and expand the default_host node and go to sap/bc/bsp/sap/
there you should see your BSP application name and right click on it and click activate. (if activate is grayed out, that means its already active)
now run your BSP it should work fine.

Perhaps the reason you haven't had any replies is because there is no such thing as an 8GB iPod Classic.
I suggest that you begin by correctly identifying which iPod you have.

Probably don't need citrix software. Is you computer in the office on LAN? Also, is the office computer setup for remote access? If it's windows then its going to be running Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) natively. If it is in fact RDP that your windows machine at work is using then you need to download RDC for mac. I use it to connect to my work computer using RDP (don't tell the "Info Tech" dude at my office) and if your not too tech savvy I would suggest trying GOTOMYPC. It's alot easier to setup. But if you have experience in setting up remote access and your Windows office machine is connected through LAN and your IT TECH has allowed port forwarding then you should be just fine with RDP and it's free!!! But are you logging onto your actual computer at work or logging into the "SERVER" through your work machine... believe me it's two completely different things.
Basically, you'll need:
1. Physichal IP address of work computer. (If office computer is on WIFI this won't work) use IPCONFIG commands in command prompt
2. Port forwarding needs to be enabled by your IT Tech
3. Remote Desktop settings will need to be enabled on the office computer
4. Download RDC for mac (search google)
5. Type the physical IP address into RDC and hit connect... type in credentials and your all done.
We need lots more details though... there are many ways to connect remotely and if your office already has a system in place for remote access then any details would be helpful in determining which method will suit you best. If it's citrix just have your IT dude set it up. If you think you need citrix then good luck....

Well Bababooey if you're comparing yourself to a Apple Genius Bar then you should already know my answer, your snarky remark get a snarky reply. Why would I go to a salesperson to fix my computer problem when I can go directly go to the source itself. I used to sell Apple computers over 8 years ago and was apple certified before the Genius bar existed. If I am to go about fixing an issue I can't fix on my own I will go to the source itself meaning Apple's programmers and developers - being UI UX Developer myself I know they should have QA'd all platforms and troubleshooted any arising issues.
This was also the first time in the 20 years I've been using a Mac that I even attempted to go on this forum which i thought would put me in connection with a certified Apple representative. This turned out to be a complete waste of time just being a public forum with no Apple employee involved. I was hoping to find a quick fix but in turn I was only frustrated with stupid responses such as yours that were in no way an answer to my original question.
BTW I fixed the issue on my own and without your help or Apples help. I'm glad if all forums point here regarding this issue because I now have the answer. The answer I was looking for from someone earlier was as simple as this {Download Maverick and reinstall the platform - it will take an hour to do but afterward 10.9.2 was installed and my computer is now able to shutdown and restart without having to do a hard boot.} No more software update bar at top and no problems with my drive which I told both you and Grant - I know my computer better than you and I've probably been using them longer than you.
So again Babowa you were so wrong...... and I am right.
Again anyone having the same problem, I suggest reinstalling Maverick and you'll be suprised 10.9.2 will work fine.
