Webservices in Request Center

Webservices in Request Center
Hi,
We have a request from a customer who wants to integrate their application with RC. In fact, they want to make a request from their application and the approval process done in RC. Their application uses webservices.
Does anyone know how to do this? Is there any documents available which has a step by step approach on how to achieve this?
Thank you for all your help,
Wesley(RC 2007.1.1)

Hi Wesley,
Are you still on RC2007? If so, see the RC2007.1 ServiceLink Requisition API User Guide. This, however, is older functionality.
There has been an update to web services functionality starting in 2008.2 (see nS FOS2008.2 Web Services User Guide), which makes interacting with RequestCenter via web services far easier. You might want to consider upgrading (and not just to 2008 but to the latest version which is NS9.1).

• Getting Error when given access to a particular dictionary using group Newscale request Center service development.

Please help me to resolve this issue.
I have created Service in NewScale request Center ,In this service I have a requirement to give access to a third party vendor to check closed (service completed) services on a particular dictionary.
I have done it by creating a group IFD (group name) and a particular person with site Administrator, Organization designer permissions, he don't have any role . And then in Active form components ,in access control tab , In service completed event I have added that group for that particular dictionary. But when I have created a request and email to him then request_id link from email , he open that link then he is getting this error "You do not have sufficient permissions to view this page" for it have attached a file also.

Hi, Are you still having this issue?
If so there are a few things you can check, first of all, what URL is the link taking the user to, is it Service Manager (perhaps you could provide the link for some insight)? If so the user might need additional capabilities to access Service Manager.
Secondly, at what point in the delivery phase is this mail being sent, is this upon completion of the service request or during service delivery? If it is during service delivery then you would have to configure access control during the service delivery moment and not during service completion for the user to access it.

• Dynamic parameter list in a webservice MXML request

Hello,
I'd like to dynamically generate the request parameter of a
web service like that :
<mx:Application xmlns:mx="
http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml"
layout="absolute">
<mx:WebService id="pegasus"
wsdl="
http://myservice?wsdl"
useProxy="false"
load="headers();">
<mx:operation name=" myOperation
">
<mx:request>
<arg0>
<parameter1>{parameter1Input.text}</parameter1>
<parameter2>{parameter2Input.text}</parameter2>
<listParameter3>
<element1>????</element1>
<element1>????</element1>
<element1>????</element1>
<element1>????</element1>
</listParameter3>
</arg0>
</mx:request>
</mx:operation>
</mx:WebService>
So I'd like to know how to generate the list, with an unknown
number of elements, from a datagrid for example.
I tried to generate a XML from a variable like that :
<mx:Application xmlns:mx="
http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml"
layout="absolute">
<mx:WebService id="pegasus"
wsdl="
http://myservice?wsdl"
useProxy="false">
<mx:operation
name="myOperation">
<mx:request>
<arg0>
<parameter1>{parameter1Input.text}</parameter1>
<parameter2>{parameter2Input.text}</parameter2>
<listParameter3>
{myList}
</listParameter3>
</arg0>
</mx:request>
</mx:operation>
</mx:WebService>
<mx:Script>

public var myList:XML;
public function essai():XML {
// call this function before send
// populate myList from formulary

</mx:Script>
But it didn't work, can you help me ?

This current problem with the forum makes code almost
impossible to read. Hope they fix it soon.
You can build the request object in AS code. Use mxml to
declare the webservice. Then in a function do something like this
example:
//Sets up and invokes werservice call
private function getEmployees():Void
var sOperationName:String = "getList";
//Put the operation name in a var
var oRequest:Object = employeeWS[sOperationName].request;
//get a reference to the operations request object
oRequest.deptId = dept.selectedItem.data; //put the deptId
Name/Value pair in the request
var call = employeeWS[sOperationName].send(); /Invoke the
call

• View the webservice soap request/response

Hi,
I am in wls81sp4. I have some webservice developed in workshop. And I created webservice controls for them. When the webservice is called in jsp, I couldn't see the request/response soap message on wls console even though I set -Dweblogic.debug.webservice=true -Dweblogic.webservice.verbose=true. I have another webservice, the client is the proxy, and I can see the message on console.
How can I see the message from calling the control? Thanks

HI Ronald,
To get the SOAP Fault into your orchestration:
1) On the Send port in BizTalk:
a) WCF Adapter Properties, Messages tab: Propagate Fault Message = true
b) WCF Adapter Properties, Messages tab: Inbound message body: Either use "soap:Body" or use a path that extracts your message OR /*[local-name()='Fault'] to get the SOAP fault
c) "Enable routing for failed messages" - this has no impact on the SOAP Fault. So you probably want it set to true to handle real transmission errors (non SOAP faults).
2) On the Send port within your orchestration
- Select the operation & then "New Fault Message"
- Set the message name to SoapFault (or whatever)
- Set the message type to be the referenced schema: BTS.soap_envelope_1__2.Fault. (If this was a SOAP 1.1 operation you would use BTS.soap_envelope_1__1.Fault).
3) In the Scope around your Send operation
- Add new exception handler
- Select "Exception Object Type" to the port-name.operation-name.SoapFault you created in step 2
- Specify the object name, e.g. Fault
- Fault is now the XML of the SOAP Fault & you can use XPath to get the Fault Reason and Message elements.
Refer:
How to catch and process SOAP faults
MSDN has explained the process in detail:
Using BizTalk Server Exception Handling. You can blindly follow it.

• Dynamically add some elements in WebService operation request

Hi,
I have a WebService element defined in my mxml which use to make soap calls.
I need to dynamically add some repeating groups for action (dependent on action) in the following example.
How can I add this in Action Script section? Can I access the WebService by id userRequest and specify "
userRequest.operations.DoAction.request.DoItemActionRequest.action.requiresAdditionItems.n ameValuePair.name = "SomeName";
userRequest.operations.DoAction.request.DoItemActionRequest.action.requiresAdditionItems.n ameValuePair.name = "SomeValue";
<mx:WebService  id="userRequest" wsdl="{Application.application.wsdl}" >
<mx:operation name="DoAction" resultFormat="object"
fault="faultHandler(event)"
result="DoActionHandler(evnt)">
<mx:request>
<DoActionRequest>
<userId>{Application.application.userID}</userId>
<action>
<actionId>{selectedItem.actionId}</actionId>
</action>
</DoActionRequest>
</mx:request>
</mx:operation>
</mx:WebService>
Thanks,
Amitava

Hi miguel8312,
Thanks for your suggestion. I understand the steps you explained for defining, calling and processing the result from a webservice from a MXML body.
My query is specifically, can I modify the webservice request defination from AS function before making the call?
In my example, if I need to dynamically add a name value pair for <action> tag (e.g. actionParam ), how do I do that?
Thanks,
Amitava

Recently i was install CCP on server and i successfully installed it w/o any error.
But when i trying to run those two sevices ServiceLink and RequestCenter from bin folder , i could not see those services in my service folder.
Does anybody know what's the reason for this issue...??

Dear ,
Account assignment in service lines are stored in table ESKL
Table ESKL has no accounting fields (Cost center, order, etc.)
The accounting objects (cost center, order, etc.) are stored in table EBKN
The link between EBKN and ESKL is established via the pointer stored in field EBKN-ZEBKN and ESKL-ZEKKN
The limit assignment can also be found in table ESKL with EBAN-PACKNO. ESKL-INTROW = 0 for limit item.
Where as you will find the link between PR no. and HPACKNO in table ESLH

Hi all

can any one tell me the approach how can i achieve the above scenario

Hi,
in HTML the form action element determines where a form field is submitted to. So in your case I would probably try using a managed bean to send the request from Java.

• Error while invoking webservice using UTL_HTTP from PL/SQL Block

Hi All,
I am invoking a webservice (SOAP Request) from a PL/SQL block using UTL_HTTP package.
I am able to send the complete request and am getting the required instance on the BPEL Console, but the process is erroring out while getting response back.
and the PL/SQL Block is ending in error mentioned below:

Package is completing successfully if i test in local DB and local BPEL.
But giving above error in client's.
Can anyone let me know what is the cause of this.
Thanks in advance

I got it working by making process Synchronous.
But with asynchronous process it is still same error.

My guess would be that your request is not properly constructed,
29266, 00000, "end-of-body reached"
// *Cause: The end of the HTTP response body was reached.
// *Action: If the end of the HTTP response is reached prematurely, check if
// the HTTP response terminates prematurely. Otherwise, end the
//          HTTP response.John

• Reg: Sending a Soap Request

Hi,
I am doing a Soap to RFC Scenario. I created a webservice in WebDynPro using NWDS and deployed that in local machine. I would like to send a soap request. How can I send it, if I have only NWDS??

Hi,
>>> I created a webservice in WebDynPro using NWDS and deployed that in local machine
There are 2 ways while dealing with a webservice (same with any other adapters)
a. Webservice at the sender side.
b. Calling (invoking) the serivce of an existing webservice.
If you want to create a scenario as in option a
In this case, the sender is not actually a webservice, rather it is a client (webservice client) that invokes the webservice. The actual webservice in this case is your XI server. But again XI server is not a webservice. All XI does is understands the webservice client request and converts it to a XI message and does the operation.
If you wish to do such a scenario, there are guides available in SDN, (How to expose your outbund interface as webservice, How to Soap Adapters). Follow them.

Using string concatenation and URL connection and HTTP post to call webservices is like to use a hand drill... It may work well to go through soft wood, but it will take a lot of effort against a concrete wall...
JAX-WS and JAXB and annotations will do everything for you in a couple of lines and IMHO you will take longer to figure out how to do everything by hand than to learn those technologies... they are standard java, no need to add any additional jars...

• Change error tag names of the Response xml of a vanilla Inbound Webservice

Hi,
You should be able to edit the generated wsdl as you suggested, changing the
"return" to something else. Then save the wsdl to a file, say
"filename.wsdl", and then at the top of your jws add the following:
* @jws:wsdl file="filename.wsdl"
This will force the jws to use the wsdl you specify and you won't have to
edit any maps. Of course, as your jws changes, you will need to regenerate
the wsdl and change the "return" to something else.

I have created a webservice in workshop that has some methods what returnstring-data.
Now I want to create clients with different software-products. Because Igot some
errors with one of these products, I looked into the WSDL and noticed thatthe
name of the response-datatype is 'return' (by default).
You can see this here:
- <s:element name="addUserResponse">
- <s:complexType>
- <s:sequence>
<s:element minOccurs="1" maxOccurs="1" name="return" nillable="true"type="s:string"
/>
This 'return' is interpreted as a keyword in the client-generation tool.If I
change this manually to another word then it works.
When I try to change the 'Return XML' in the 'Edit Maps and Interface'Dialog,
than the WSDL looks like this:
- <s:element name="addUserResponse">
- <s:complexType mixed="true">
- <s:sequence>
<s:any minOccurs="1" maxOccurs="unbounded" />
Now the name- and type-definitions are completely missing.
The question is now: how to change the name of the response-datatype from'return'
to another (not-keyword-) name?
I think this is important because I don't know what software a customeruses to
generate a client and I can not expect that he manually edits myWSDL-file.

• SAP(Idoc) = XI = ThirdPart(WebService)

Hello friends!
I have a problem with development of acknowledgement system with SAP(Idoc) <=> XI <=> ThirdPart(WebService) scenario.
My case:
Scenario looks like:
SAP(Idoc) <=>(Idoc adapter) XI (SOAP adapter)<=> ThirdPart(WebService)
It must work this way:
SAP system send IDOC, then XI map it and send it via SOAP-adapter to third part webservice. Then webservice answer to XI with structure сontains "TRUE" or "FALSE",
and then XI must inform SAP ALE/IDOC system if current information from idoc was successfully added to webservice or not.
But how can I get it? As far as I understand ALE/IDOC system I have to create ALEAUD by myself, put status of idoc depends on webservice return and send ALEAUD idoc to SAP.
I'am right?

Hi,
You can use BPM for this Idoc--Soap Sync Process
Design objects:
Data type & Message Type
1) Import the IDOC and Later you import the Idoc, doble click on it a export it to your driver, next import it as External Definition for reason becouse if not, you wont be able to create a MI type synch with IDOC and genericResponse structure
2) Create data type for your Response Type of IDOC
3) Import the WSDL File For Request and the Response Type
4) Create the Message types according to the Data types which we created
Messgae Interface:
1) Outbound synchronous:
output message will be ur idoc external definition file
input message will be ur message type that u have created.
2) Abstract Outbound Synchronous:
use the same as in Outbound Synchronous
3) Inbound Synchronous:
input message will be ur request message of RFC/WebService
output message will be ur response message of RFC/Webservice
4)Abstract Inbound Sunchronous:
input message will be ur request message of RFC/WebService
output message will be ur response message of RFC/Webservice
Mapping
Request Message Mapping:
b/w ur idoc external definiton and request message of RFC/WS
response Message Mapping:
b/w ur Response message of RFC/WS and ur message type
Interface Mapping
Import MI(abstract) of IDOC
Import MI of WS
select the mapping for request and response Tab
BPM
1) In container window define a variable named IDoc_ABS with category abstract interface and
type (select the MI of IDOC alone)
define a variable named GenericRespnse_abs with category abstract interface and type (select
MI of genericResponse alone)
2) Create a Recieve Step --> in property message select the container you define before of idoc.
3) Define a Send Step--> mode synchronous
select MI type abstract and sync (idoc and genericResponse)
for property request message selects container Idoc_ABS
for property response message selects container GenericRespnse_abs.
Save your Changes and thats all for BPM
*Configuration *
1) Create scenario
Assign BS and create comunication channels with QoS (quality of service) type BE
2) Import your BPM
Create a Receiver Determination
-->in the target service select the BPM. Save
-->In overview windown at foot windowns select MI IDoc_abs only. nothing else
Create a Receiver Determination
-->here the system who send data is BPM
-->in the target service select the BS of receiver system.Save
-->In overview windown at foot windowns select interface mapping and assing communication channel
what we do here. the flow is next
1) Receive data from sender system and send it to BPM
2) BPM call bs of target system (WS). how? because in interface determination you selected
before the interface mapping

• Webservice invocation problem

Hi All,
I am trying to call a webservice deployed on Sunone app server 8.2. I have created the client stubs using wscompile tool. I am not getting any response when calling the webservice, the request is not sent to server at all. Following is the client code:-
XdmOperationsPortTypeService_Impl objImpl = new XdmOperationsPortTypeService_Impl();
XdmOperationsPortType_Stub stub = (XdmOperationsPortType_Stub)objImpl.getXdmOperations();
javax.xml.soap.SOAPElement strXDMQuery=null;
strXDMQuery.setTextContent("queryRequestForXDM");
javax.xml.soap.SOAPElement strXDMQueryResponse = stub.query(strXDMQuery);
where query is the webservice function i am tryng to call. XdmOperationsPortType_Stub and XdmOperationsPortTypeService_Impl are auto generated files.
in the query function of XdmOperationsPortType_Stub class, the program flow is stopping at the following line
StreamingSenderState state = start(_handlerChain);
Would appreciate any pointers on this.

What does your code look like?
By the error it appears you are trying to access a field called "FAULT_CODE_IOEXCEPTION" which doesn't exist.
