Webservices with j2me base64Binary problem

Hi,
Iam new to webservices concepts, now iam trying to implement jsr172 with my project.
In that WSDL have the type "type="s:base64Binary" for image byte array.
While creating stubs the xxxx_stub file contains line :
"_type_image = new Element(_qname_CapturedImage, UNKNOWN, 0, 1, false);"
the error was canot resolve symbol "variable UNKNOWN"
Why the base64Binary type is not supported.
Please give me a hand.

Hi,
I got through some documents "JAX-RPC for Java ME doesn't support soapenc:Array or wsdl:arrayType "
for that what will be the alternate.

    You may use Field Exit to do this enhancement. You can create fieldexit from report RSMODPRF.
    In order to use field exit check/activate Profile Parameter abap/fieldexit using t code RZ11.

  • Are there problems if we develop webservices with 1.4.2, but use 1.5.0?

    Hi all,
    I hope you may help me in one question.
    We develop webservices for IBM WAS 6.0 (java 1.4.2) with connection to oracle 9i and WMQ 5.3CDS12.
    But now we want to change the environment to IBM WAS 6.1 (including java 1.5.0).
    Are there problems if we develop webservices with 1.4.2 but using java 1.5.0 on websphere?
    Or should we use java 1.4.2 on websphere app server 6.1? I think WAS don't run under 1.4.2?!
    I hope you can help me.
    Thank you.

    Marc

    You only need a new certificate when the old one expires. Changing JDKs has nothing to do with it.

  • Problem when adding ABAP custom webservice with Visual Studio 2010

    Hi All,
    After creating a webservice for a custom RFC function developed in a ECC6.0 SAP machine, I tried to add it to a Visual Studio 2010 windows aplication (through a web reference connection).
    The sequence I've done is:
    - Create RFC in ABAP, with testing ok
    - Create a WEBSERVICE with the ABAP editor
    - Configured the webservice with SICF with:
         Procedure: Standard
         Logon data: standard R3 user
         Security requirement: Standard
         Authentication: Standard SAP User
    Then, in SOAMANAGER I copied the webservice URL and tried to add it to Visual Studio 2010, but it keeps asking me the user and password. I try to supply the R3 username and password but if fails.
    Why is ECC6.0 asking the user and passord if I've defined a SAP user for the login process?
    Is there any way to disable this?
    Thanks,
    Manuel Dias

    Hello Manuel,
    You can use the following code:
    CredentialCache cache = new CredentialCache();
          cache.Add(new Uri("WEBSERVICEURL:PORTNUMBER/"), "Basic", new NetworkCredential("USERNAME", "PASSWORD"));
    SAP needs a password.
    Kind regards,
    JK

  • ECATT and Webservices with authentication - PROBLEM

    Hello,
    i'm writting a eCATT-Script, which execute a webservice with authentication.
    It's working fine, but everytime when i run the script i have to put the user and password for the webservice manually. It's not much comfortable, because i will automate the whole script.
    Please let me know, if someone know, how to automate it.
    Thanks!

    Don't know about integrated windows auth but we are using basic authentication for some portlets where we need the credentials in the code. You have to enable the following in your remote code's Web Service (or the remote server if you prefer): "Basic Authentication Settings -> Basic Authentication info sent to Web Service -> User's Basic Authentication Information" And of course enable it in IIS.
    All of our other remote code is set to allow "anonymous access" in IIS.
    Well, not sure if that helps.

  • How to invoke a WebService with more than 1 value in parameter?

    I have a webservice, with a request parameter as an Array of String.
    In an invoing xml it should looks like:
    <GetPersonsData_Request>
    <request>
    <PersonIdList>
    <string> 111 </string>
    <string> 222 </string>
    <string> 333 </string>
    </PersonIdList>
    A problem i have:
    How I can to assign a differents values to this list?
    i assigned first element directly and then tried to add a new one with append:
    <bpelx:append>
    <bpelx:from>'12345'</bpelx:from>
    <bpelx:to>$GetPersonsData_Request.parameters/ns2:request/ns5:PersonIdList</bpelx:to>
    </bpelx:append>
    I receive:
    <GetPersonsData_Request>
    <request>
    <PersonIdList>
    <string> 111 </string>
    '12345'
    </PersonIdList>
    </request>
    Its added as a single string, no as a Structure Element.
    What i missed???

    ok, i tried.
    add a new string type variable:
    <variable name="string" element="ns6:string"/>
    next assigned to $string my text and tried to append it to list:
    <bpelx:append>
    <bpelx:from>$string</bpelx:from>
    <bpelx:to>$GetPersonsData_Request.parameters/ns2:request/ns5:PersonIdList</bpelx:to>
    </bpelx:append>
    and as a result i receive a correct structure:
    <GetPersonsData_Request>
    <request>
    <PersonIdList>
    <string> 111 </string>
    <string> 12345 </string>
    </PersonIdList>
    </request>
    BUT!!! When i next use a countNode:
    <assign name="ac">
    <copy>
    <from>ora:countNodes('GetPersonsData_Request','parameters','ns2:request/ns5:PersonIdList/ns8:string') - it shows me 1 !!!
    <to>$counter</to>
    </copy>
    In EM:
    Updated variable "counter"
    <payload>
    <counter>
    <counter xsi:type="def:int">1</counter>
    </counter>
    Why???
    Is it really correct example and it should to work?

  • Security With J2ME Question

    Hello,
    I am currently developing an application allowing users to purchase tickets using J2ME, ASP (server side JavaScript) and a SQL Server database. I wanted to find out whether there is a way to make network connections to the server side secure? I am not using sockets but standard http connections.
    Is the security possible with just http? If not is the only way to have a secure application, by using sockets? Can sockets be used with a non-java server based technology such as ASP? Also what security will I be able to implement on the server side (currently using IIS to host ASP files and SQL Database).
    Any help and/or guidance will be much appreciated.

    Have tried that and get the following error:
    Error: C:\Documents and Settings\Hardev\.netbeans\4.1\emulators\wtk22_win\emul

  • Webservice with zip attached file

    Hi everyone.
    I have to receive a webservice with a zip archive as an attachment.
    I think that i can do this in two steps. First of all, i have to get that file and put it in a folder. Problem is that is not a plain text or a xml so i don't know how to save it.
    First i use the PayloadSwapBean so i set the attachment as the payload. But now ... how can i save this ZIP file?
    Regards,
    Inigo.

    Hi
    Your first step is right as use the PayloadSwapBean to swap the Attachement and the SOAP payload and use this in your mapping
    Now you have to use the PayloadZipBean module here.
    More on that ..
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/45/da9358a1772e97e10000000a155369/frameset.htm
    Also Refer for step by step process for Zip files
    /people/stefan.grube/blog/2007/02/20/working-with-the-payloadzipbean-module-of-the-xi-adapter-framework
    Just as a Note : youhave to use these modules in SOAP receiver, you can't use it SOAP sender.

  • Help with J2ME streaming

    Hi,
    My name is Constantinos Loizou and I am a student and currently developing a project for my Master's degree.
    I need to stream audio and/or video to a PDA device. There is a trick here which is:
    The PDA must receive the stream from a multicast address. For this I have implemented a Bridge application which joins the multicast group on behalf of the PDA and receives the Multicast RTP packets (which are sent from JMStudio) and Unicasts them to the PDA.(HP iPAQ) I had no problem implementing this. The streaming is done using JMStudio player which encodes the streaming audio data into a number of encodings (DVI/RTP in my case). I choose DVI/RTP and stream a .wav audio file.
    Now I have to accept the packets and play the stream on the PDA.
    The j2me application receives all the RTP packets successfully and I can extract usefull information from the packets such as: Timestamp, sequence number, payload type. The payload type is 5 which means it is a DVI4 encoding therefor the packets are accepted without any problem. I then save the data of the packet into a byte[] array and in regular intervals (50 000 bytes) I load them into a new ByteArrayInputStream(buffer); When I try to load the BytearrayInputStream and open it with a player I get the following error message:
    javax.microedition.media.MediaException: Failed to realize Player: Malformed wave media: expected 'RIFF'
    at com.sun.mmedia.WavPlayer.doRealize(+160)
    at com.sun.mmedia.BasicPlayer.realize(+84)
    at src.ViewVideoCanvas.run(ViewVideoCanvas.java:112)
    The command I run is: player = Manager.createPlayer(input, "audio/x-wav");//create new player
    And the error occurs on player.realize();
    I believe that this happens beacause the data is encoded to DVI/rtp. I have searched a lot and found the algorithm of decompressing the DVI data but again I get the same error
    Anyway, this is a brief description of my problem and I hope you can help me.
    Contact me for any more details or help you can provide (code sammples, decoding algorithms and implementations in java)
    Thank you
    Constantinos Loizou

    Hi my name is shaun benjamin and I am sorry I dont have the solution to this problem but could you please do me a fovor. • Develope complex WebService with JDeveloper and deploy to tomcat

    Hello,
    I am thinking of developing a complex WebService with JDeveloper and deploy it to tomcat.
    The WebService should retrieve a few "normal" datatypes and a pdf and a few images. I try to store the pdf and the image in an Oracle DB as BLOB.
    My idea ist to create a Package which selects the values, pdf and the image and retrieve them as the output paramter.
    Then I want to create a WebService with the JDeveloper which calls this Package. This WebService should be published on a Tomcat.
    My first question is if that is possible?
    I think there are few problems.
    I searched the forum about deploying a JDeveloper WebService to Tomcat, but I can not find a whole solution which is going to work. I read something about JAX-RPC, but I am new to this topic. So it would be very nice, if anyone could tell me where I can find the solution or post a quick guide to solve that.
    Another question is how I have to decode the images and the pdf to provide those files in a WebService?
    I would be very glad if anyone can help me or tell me where I can find information about that, becaus I am new to this topic!
    Thank you,
    Tim

    Hi,
    does anybody have an idea about that?
    Thanks,
    Tim

  • Implementing a Webservice with AXIS, which calls CORBA objects

    Hi @all!
    First my aim is it to invoke a Webservice by a Client. As toolkit for developing this Webservice I use AXIS 1.0. This Webservice in turn should establish a CORBA connection to a third application.
    A direct access to the CORBA objects without the AXIS Webservice works fine. The Webservice without the Corba access is also running errorfree.
    When trying to implement a Webservice with AXIS, which calls CORBA objects following fault was generated:
    "internal Server Error(500)".
    Are there known problems with AXIS in conjunction with CORBA?

    Okay here's the error log file:
    1000 of lines, which aren't very helpful for me.
    As ORB I use JacORB.

  • Tomcat: Webservice with access for everybody?

    hi
    how can i set up an webservice with free access for anyone? i mean, that users don't need any usernames or passwords to access my webservice.
    thnx :)

    Correct me if I'm wrong, but authentication is not a default feature of webservices. It is a feature which you as a programmer implement. So if you write a normal webservice and the user has access to its wsdl and knows the location (end-point) then he/she should be able to access it without any problem.
