On configuring utill i am getting following error, but unable to trace that what is can be the cause!....

'jarsigner' is not recognized as an internal or external command,This means that Windows could not find the jarsinger.exe. You will need to modify your PATH environment variable and add the C:\DevSuiteHome_1\jdk\bin\ directory to the PATH. This is where the Oracle supplied jarsinger.exe is located.

As oracle 10g comes with webutil, i am now trying to configure it with jocob and trying to run webutil_demo form, but I am getting bean not found error, I searched many forums but could not resolve my problem, everything seems to be at its place, but I am also getting error when i try to sign jacob.jar and webutil.jar files.
First is it necessary to sign these files if yes then what cause will be preventing it to be signed.

Not based on the minimal information provided.
Error messages in 11g, from a UI standpoint, are severely deficient. How about looking in the content server logs and posting some more information?

When trying to print in iPhoto 9.1.1 error: "There were no themes located"

Hi, first time poster here. When trying to print a photo in iPhoto 9.1.1, I get an error stating "There were no themes located. Until at least one theme has been installed, this feature will be unavailable. This started after upgrading to iPhoto 11. I can print from all other applications so I know that I don't have a printer problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Thanks for the suggestion Larry. This discussion is for iPhoto 7, and says to do a custom install using the system disk that came with my computer. Since I recently installed iPhoto 11 from iLife, should instead reinstall from the iLife disk, rather than the system disk that came with my computer?

You will not be deleting any photos or data about them - they are in your iPhoto library and you should not be going into it -- ever

FSCT - Having Error "There were errors during running WordFileClose.dll scenario" when running the FSCT in controller & non-windows file server

I encounter 2 errors in the controller when running FSCT.
- "There were errors during running WordFileClose.dll scenario"
- "There were errors during running WordFileClose.dll scenario"
Does anyone has any ideas for this errors?
I am using the following server to run the FSCT:
- AD Server: Windows 2008 R2 SP1 x64
- FSCT Controller: Windows 2008 R2 SP1 x64
- Client: Windows 7 x64
- File Server: Non-Windows Server (EMC Isilon)
And the commands are as follows:

ITunes error " there were problems downloading some purchased items"

I'm having an issue at the moment with iTunes login. Every time I sign in, an error message appears telling me there was a problem downloading some of my purchased items. It's normally about 26 errors but some times 13 and all seem to relate to one album I already have in my library and have not tried to re download. if I click on the individual errors it an (8268) error. If I leave it, it just disappears after a bit. It's just annoying. I've tried deleting said album from library. Imported original in from back up, every thing like that.

I'm having the same problem. Started last week (week of November 3rd). I posted an issue with Apple, but they came back with a BS response and I decided I did not have the patience to work with folks who clearly failed to read my writeup on the issue. Trolling for someone who had the patience and worked with them to figure out the solution.

DO NOT show the DEPLOYMENT SUMMARY page even though there are warnings or errors in it when MDT finished

But the page still shows at the end of process.

Having MDT display the wizard in case of a error (red/salmon) is by design.
Better to figure out which steps are failing in your task sequence and/or marking the failing steps with "Continue on error" in the Task Sequence Editor. That will suppress errors that are really warnings.

I am trying to sign the jar, but I am getting this exception-
[exec] jarsigner: Certificate chain not found for: pvktmp:e40b0b30-dcc9-4aef-8450-15c2437a4959. pvktmp:e40b0b30-dcc9-4aef-8450-15c2437a4959 must reference a valid KeyStore key entry containing a private key and corresponding public key certificate chain.Let me know where I am doing wrong?

Obviously the jarsigner command you are using is wrong in some way but since we can't see it it is difficult to say what is wrong.

This occurs when you attempt to run the provided script (batch) more than once or the Key name is already in the keystore. If you are not familiar with how to sign JARs on your own, the easiest solution is likely to change the value of JAR_KEY in the script.
The script is provided as a courtesy more than anything else. Oracle doesn't do any magic in the script. It is simply a scripted version of what is required by Sun in order to create a certificate and sign a JAR. You can get more info about how to sign a JAR file from Sun or by doing a Google search. You can also refer to an older Oracle white paper which offered step-by-step instructions for signing:

Perhaps you are using old WLST code (used for OSB 10g), with OSB 11g.

Can anyone provide a solution for a sudden problem I've encountered. It began when trying to install Backup 3.1 and has now been repeated with OS X 10.4.5.
When trying through Software Update I'm told The update [packagename] can't be installed. Sorry, an unexpected error occurred. The Installer package has been moved to the Trash. To try again, open the package from the Finder.
When I try opening the Installer packages from the Finder the Installer reaches the stage of 'preparing target volume' and then displays this error: There were errors installing the software. Please try installing again.
Installer's Error Log says: Install failed: The following install step failed: run preflight script for [packagename].
Console.log contains this:2006-02-15 21:07:27.431 Software Update[331] session:product:061-2046 didFailWithError:NSError "Error SUSessionErrorDomain 6" Domain=SUSessionErrorDomain Code=6 UserInfo={errorCode = -2; }
Unsuccessful steps I've taken to resolve this issue have been: (1) I trashed com.apple.installer.plist, (2) I repaired disk persmissions; (3) I repaired the disk (when I did so, Disk Utility reported that no repairs were necessary); (4) I restarted in Safe Mode; and (5) I tried installing using a different User account.
Anyone?

Since first posting, I learned of further updates being available in Software Update (all the iLife '06 suite, basically). Horrified, I suspected that my Installer problem would rear its ugly head again with these, and sure enough that's precisely what happened. As a test, I unchecked all but one of the new items in Software Update and tried installing that. The exact same problem reoccurred.
Fortunately I also have an iBook G4 on which I had earlier run a successful upgrade to OS X 10.4.5. I ran Software Update on that machine, installed everything successfully, and then used Target Disk mode between iBook and iMac to first install 10.4.5 on the iMac and then to copy over the new versions of Backup, iDVD, iMovie, iPhoto, iTunes and iWeb. So my iMac is now up to date, but only by intervention of another machine. My original question remains: what could be causing the problem with Installer?
Thanks Jpfresno for your response. The only part of it which I had not tried was disconnecting my external Firewire HD before running Installer.

Error: There is a problem with the file and it cannot be copied

I've been trying to copy (and essentially move) the contents of an NTFS-formatted external HDD to my iMac's internal HDD so I can then format the external HDD to Mac OS Extended. However, when I simply try to drag and drop, I get an error during the transfer that states:
There is a problem with the file and it cannot be copied.
I tried a basic cp command in Terminal to copy all contents of the external HDD to a folder on my iMac's desktop, and found that while there were no errors, there were many individual files missing full chunks of data (ie. original file would be 4GB on my external HDD, but only 350MB on my desktop).
Any ideas on how I can successfully copy a large amount of data (approx. 170GB) from my external HDD to my internal HDD while avoiding this error, so I can ultimately format my external HDD to Mac OS Extended? ANY help is greatly appreciated.

That's not a good error to see. It indicates something is very wrong. Pulled out of an old programming header file:

If Apple labelled it "bummers," they had a good reason! Unfortunately, that doesn't bode well for you.
Try running Disk Utility again. Keep repairing over and over until one of two things happens: 1) Disk Utility says no repair was needed, or 2) Disk Utility reports the same error in two sequential repair sessions and is unable to repair it both times.
If you hit the second case, or if you hit the first but still can't copy files, then you've got two basic options:
= Buy a third-party disk utility or two and try them. Try TechTool as a first choice.
= Recover what files you can and write the rest off as gone.
= Send your drive to a data recovery service and hope they can extract more than you can.
Of course, none of this is necessary if you have a backup of the contents of that hard drive. (If you don't, this is your learning experience. Once bitten, twice shy, so they say.) Also, regardless of the outcome, once you've got your data or have decided it's gone, you're going to want to wipe that drive completely clean. Reformat the drive with Disk Utility, then when it's done, select the drive in Disk Utility and hit command-i. (Don't select the new volume you just created on that drive, select the drive itself. Mine looks like "232.9 GB Hitachi ..." with the volume name indented underneath.) Look for an item that says S.M.A.R.T. Status, and if it doesn't say Verified, you might as well throw out the drive. Don't trust any more data to it.
If all appears safe, you can start moving data back onto it. But, as always, make sure you have a backup of everything!

Safari - Facebook: "There was a temporary error, please try again. Click to send again."

Hi all,
I have a macbook 15 (Late 2008) with 10.6.8 running + Safari 5.1.10 and I have experienced two problems with the Facebook chat:
1. Often (but I would say almost always) the chat window is cut below and I cannot visualize the box where to type my messages.
2. Today I have installed the FacebookVideoCalling_v1.6 to perform video calling, and what I am not able to send messages, but I always got the error: "There was a temporary error, please try again. Click to send again." Nevertheless, by following the suggestion to try later, does not solve the situation.
Does anyone experienced the same problem?
If it can be useful, I have some additional info. This the Java version I have:
java version "1.6.0_65"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_65-b14-462-10M4609)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 20.65-b04-462, mixed mode)
And here is what I got under the menu "Developers" (the screenshot is in italian, but I guess it is easy to understand it. Some translation: Svluppo = Develop, Mostra = Show, Abilita = Enable, Disabilita = Disable)
