What  are the usual date field validations

Hi all,
can you please tell me what  are the usual date field validations in selection Screen
Thanks and regards ,
Madhavi pilla

Once you declare it as TYPE SY-DATUM, usually that is enough.  Sometimes we will also check that it is not less than '18000101' or greater than '99991231'.  Or if you have a specific date range that applies to your program you could check the field contents against that. I hope this helps.

what are the master data in SAP SD.
These are the one's  i know.
    1)   Customer Master Data
    2)   Material  Master Data
But what i want to know is does the following ones come under master data?
    1) Price master data
    2) Transporters master data(we are using transportation management)
    3) Route master data
    4) Customer material info records
    5) Credit master data(iam using credit management)
What will be the master data for Transportation management(module), CIN(country India version), credit management & rebate processing
Thanks for your valuable time & knowledge.
    Regards,
    Pavan

    Hi Pavan,
Just to add some more valuable information.
<b>Organisational master data</b> : Every company is structured in a certain way. In order to work with the SAP System your company structure has to be represented in the system. This is done with the help of various organizational structures.
<b>Condition master data</b> : In sales and distribution, products are sold or sent to business partners or services are performed for them. Data about the products and services as well as about the business partners is the basis for sales processing. Sales processing with the SAP R/3 System requires that the master data has been stored in the system.
<b>Material master data</b> : In addition to sales and distribution, other departments of the company such as accounting or materials management access the master data. The material master data is stored in a specific structure in order to allow access from these different views.
<b>Document master data</b> : The processing of business transactions in sales and distribution is based on the master data. In the SAP R/3 System, business transaction are stored in the form of documents. These sales and distribution documents are structured according to certain criteria so that all necessary information in the document is stored in a systematic way.
<b>Customer Master Data</b> : or for that matter various business partners, we maintain data for them also called as the customer master data or vendor master data like that.
    Thanks & Regards

  • What are the 3-bit field choices for Hw_Arm_Sel in PCI-6601

    Hi,
I am programming our own driver to operate the PCI-6601. For our application we need hardware arm option. I know it is possible to use 2 counters for that, but NI-TIO should support also hw_arm. Although it is not explained in the registry document at all, after some tedious check in the DDK examples I found that this bits are located in the Gi counting mode register. I know the position of the HW_enable as well as the position of the 3 bits for pin sellect options. What I do not know is What are the 3-bit field choices for Hw_Arm_Sel . I contacted NI support but got no support. How can NI sell boards and when a customer who is not using LAbview or Measurement Studio or DDK, but is implementing his own driver is then so arrogantly turned down from NI? Also, how can NI publish just part of the registers the board support, and when a customer contacs and asks for some registers get not at all support? I can not foretell the missing registers, and it is pretty unprofessional to document just partly the registers of 660x devices. And on request you got nothing.
I hope someone from the community know about this Hw_Arm_Sel 3 pin options. Otherwise, there is just an option of error and trial. Or simply throw the board in the garbage.
    Dr. Kirco Arsov
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hi Kirco,
I have some more information for you :-)
I haven't been able to speak to the developer who is the most familiar with TIO programming since he's out of the office, but I have come across his notes from when he was writing support for the DAQmx driver.
As I described earlier, the HW_Arm_Sel bits don't select a connector I/O pin, but an internal trigger signal. There are seven internal trigger lines, and the HW_Arm_Sel bits map directly to the internal trigger signal: 0b000 - 0b111 map to 0d0 - 0d7. In order to route an I/O pin to an internal trigger, you must also write to a few more registers.
From what I've read, there are two more register families that need to be programmed: TG_x_LevelEdgeReg and TG_x_CombinationReg, where x is the internal trigger number. In your case, you only need one pin from the I/O connector to be your arm start trigger, so TG_0_LevelEdgeReg and TB_0_CombinationReg will suffice for your application.
    TB_0_LevelEdgeReg :: Offset 0x660
TG_0_LevelEdgeReg is only 8 bits wide, and maps as follows:
    7..6: EdgeMode
    5..0: LESel
LESel selects the I/O connector pin to use as the source for the internal trigger signal. 0d0 - 0d39 will select the I/O pin of the same number. NB: behavior for TG_x_LevelEdgeReg is more limited for triggers 1-7, and only a small subset of the I/O pins can be selected for those trigger signals. Trigger 0 can use any I/O pin. Setting these bits to 0d63 forces the trigger source low, and can be used as a way to 'unroute' it when you're finished with your program.
EdgeMode determines whether the TIO will detect an edge of the incoming signal, or just pass the signal level straight through. When detecting edges, it will latch the signal and generate a single TIMEBASE3 pulse instead. 0b00 sets level mode; 0b01 sets rising edge; 0b10 sets falling edge; 0b11 sets either edge.
    TG_0_CombinationReg :: Offset 0x6A0
TG_0_CombinationReg is 32 bits wide, and has three fields of interest:
    19..16: CombFunction
    5..4: CombTypeB
    1..0: CombTypeA
CombTypeA controls which trigger subsystem to use as the source for the trigger signal. Since you're coming from an I/O pin and using the edge/level subsystem, you must set these bits to 0b01.
CombTypeB is similar to CombTypeA, and although you won't be using trigger B, set it to 0b01 to be safe.
CombFunction performs a simple logic function on A and B. Since you're only using a single I/O connector, you only need the A output, so set these bits to 0b1100.
All of the other bits should be set to 0b0.
Unfortunately, I'm unable to test these statements since my test machine is currently being used for another research project. Please let me know what happens if you decide to test.

  • What are the real data files of an Oracle installation?

When I install an Oracle (XE) database then a lot of stuff is copied/setup:
*.exe, jdbc driver, service tools, scripts, config files,....
But which are the real data files (under WinXP)?
I mean the files where all the individual, personal table defintions, trigger code, inserted data records are stored?
As far as I heard these are only 9 files.
    Is this true?
What, if I copy just these 9 files to another Oracle XE installation on another computer and replace the 9 files over there?
Is all the content available at the remote computer after restart?

What, if I copy just these 9 files to another Oracle XE installation on another computer and replace the 9 files over there? No. Oracle is far more complex than that. The control file keeps info about the data files, including stuff like the last checkpoint scn, etc. If you just drop a new file on a different installation, even if the file has the same name and is in the same path, it won't match the info in the control file.
That's not to say there aren't ways to move a data file from one installation to another. But it is a lot more complex than simply dragging a file from one folder to another.

  • What are the best data and bit rate setting for uploading from final cut express to Youtube?

Can anyone suggest the best data rate and bit rate presets for uploading footage from final cut express 4 to Youtube? What settings will provide the best resolution, quality, and match the current youtube requirements?
Thank you in advance for your help,
    Susan Kayne

It depends on whether you are using aspect ratios of 4:3 or 16:9.
Below is some simple guidance that will provide good quality with reasonably small file sizes.
The first part is for 4:3 video:-
    1. File>Export Using QT Conversion.
    2. The "Format" window should say, "QT Movie".
    3. In "Use" select "LAN/Intranet" from the dropdown menu.
    4. Click "Save" and when it has finished encoding, upload it to YouTube.
If you are making 16:9 video (Standard or High Definition) do steps 1 to 3 above.
Then when you have selected "LAN/Intranet" press the "Options" button and in the new
window that opens press the  "Size"  button and change the  "640x480" to  "853x480"
To do this you will have to click on the  640x480 and a dropdown menu appears.
Select "Custom" from  the bottom of the menu and in the window that opens
    you will see 2 boxes.
Put  853  in the first box and  480  in the second.
    Click OK.
    Then Save it.

  • What are the corresponding Data Types of some MDM Data Types

    Hi Guys,
The MDM ABAP API involves creation of a DDIC structure in SRM. This structure should have the same fields with the MDM table fields. We would like to ask the corresponding ABAP Data Types for the following MDM Data Types.
         MDM                                                         SRM
    1.  Look up (flat)
    2.  Look up (taxonomy)
    3.  Look up (heirarchy)
    4.  Look up (qualified flat look up)
    Any significant inputs on this?
    Thanks and regards,

    Hi,
Refer the below link. This is from the MDM Reference guide and contains the sample source code as well for almost all the things like creating repository, creating tables and fields etc. It would be helpful to you.

  • In Aperture 3.4 Export Slideshow to a video, what are the actual Data Rates used for "Best", "High", ... "Least" quality for a given resolution?

My Photo website host (SmugMug) converts uploaded video files at a specific Data Rate in Mbps before installing them. I would like to compress my slideshow video file to the same rate before I upload it to reduce file size and upload time. When I choose the "Custom" setting for an Export, I can choose 1 of the 5 Quality choices and see the estimated file size. But, I cannot know what the actual Data Rate is until after I wait a long time to export the slideshow (hours for a long slideshow) and then examine the resulting file in QuickTime Player's Inspector.

I ran a few tests using a short slideshow (16 images, 1:23 mins/secs) at 1,728 x 1,080 resolution to find out the bit rates for various quality level choices.
Export setting              Quality          Resulting bit rate          File Size
    HD 1080p                    default                20.68 Mbps              214.8 MBytes
    Custom                       Best                   20.49                       212.8
    Custom                       High                     6.25                         65.0
    Custom                       Medium                3.97                         41.3
However, I don't know if those bit rates will be the same for different length slideshows or for different output resolutions. My SmugMug host site uses an 8.0 Mbps rate for a 1728 x 1080 video file. If I choose Custom/Best, my file will be almost 3 times bigger and much higher quality than necessary, but if I choose Custom/High, my file will be smaller and lower quality than SmugMug's converted version.
I have installed MPEG StreamClip that will let me convert an exported Aperture slideshow video file, and StreamClip allows me to choose a specific bit rate in Mbps. But, I would prefer not having to do a 2 step process (Export from Aperture, then convert in StreamClip).

  • What are the different metadata fields for in the Metadata presets?

The metadata preset box has a comprehensive array of metadata sections and fields. I just don't know what a lot of them should be used for. Some of them appear to duplicate headings in other fields, albeit with different names.
Can someone tell me what kind of information the following fields are meant for?
    Basic Info
Label - I've seen this used for the authors credit. The "Creator" and "Copyright" fields seem to take care of this though. Should it be used for something  else?
    Copy Name - ?
    IPTC Content
Headline - I've read that this is for describing the content. Isn't the "Caption" field in Basic Info for this?
    IPTC Subject Code - ?
Description Writer - The author/creator? If not, who?
    IPTC Image
Intellectual Genre - Same as "Category"?
    ISO Country Code - ?
    IPTC Status
Title - This may seem obvious, but the title often appears in the caption.
Job Identifier - I'm assuming this is for applying information pertinent to the author's filing system. If I'm wrong, what is it for?
    Instructions - as above?
    Provider - Author again?
    Source - Author yet again?
I'm sure there will be those who will argue that some or even most fields can be used for whatever information we wish to put in. My point is that they must be there for specific reasons.
Oh yes, before someone points me in the direction of the IPTC website, I've been there already and it was full of gobbledygook!
    Thanks in advance.

Also on the IPTC photo metadata site is a more approach able guide to using the fields:
    http://www.iptc.org/std/Iptc4xmpCore/1.0/documentation/Iptc4xmpCore_1.0-doc-CpanelsUserGui de_13.pdf
This guide was written for the original 1.0 IPTC Core specification, but I think it covers most of the terms you want to understand better. Specifically, it talks about the different roles the Headline, Title and Description (aka Caption) play as well as the Creator, Source and Provider.
    Examples:
    Headline:
A headline is a brief publishable synopsis/summary of the contents of the photograph. The Headline term should not be confused with the Title term.
    Description:
The Description field, often referred to as a “caption” is used to describe the who, what and why of what is happening in the photograph. If there is a person or people in the image, this caption might include their names, and/or their role in the action that is taking place. If the image is of a location, then it should give information regarding the location....
Here are three other places you might want to look for or ask about how other photographers are using the metadata:
    The PhotoMetadata.org web site
    http://www.photometadata.org/
    David Rieck's ControlledVocabulary.com
    http://www.controlledvocabulary.com/
-See Resources > CV Forum to find the Yahoo! groups forum for the site.
Peter Krogh's, the DAM Book site and forum:
    http://www.thedambook.com/
    http://thedambook.com/smf/index.php
The "Label" field is used to control the colored label that's displayed for the file in Lightroom, Bridge and (when opening multiple files) in the Camera Raw plugin. Both Lightroom and Bridge ship with default values mapped to the six-standard label colors. In Lightroom choose the Metadata > Color Label Set > Edit... to change them. In Bridge, use the Label panel in the Bridge preferences dialog.
You can really use this for whatever you need, but unlike the other terms defined by the IPTC, you should not necessarily expect others to use them for the same thing. Putting the photographer's name there probably doesn't make much sense. I know one Photographer who's assigned the name of a stock agency to each of the label colors so he can track what file was sent to what agency.
