What do I do if my iPhone 4s screen turns green?
My iPhone 4s first totally lost capabilities for one day, I charged it, and then it worked. A few days later, it shut down like this again and I was unable to turn it on. My screen then turned green and has now resorted back to where it has no power, although the screen is on. I have tried charging and restoring it with no luck. Please offer suggestions/solutions.
Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.
If the above does not resolve the issue, take the device to Apple for evaluation and possible replacement.

It means that you jailbroke your iPhone with redsn0w. There are several known methods to fixing this issue:
1. Plug it into your computer and restore
2. Plug it into your computer, then hold the power button for about 6 seconds
3. Hold the power button and the home button to restart it. As soon as it turns on, plug it into your computer and wait
4. Time. Sometimes it fixes itself over time.
I would suggest refraining from jailbreaking your device next time. I know it tempting to do so, but if you want to root your phone or play with emulators, I would suggest an android device. Btw, iOS 7 looks promising for the Apple community. Keep your ears peeled this week during WWDC. -

You also are not showing any cellular service. Have you contacted your provider regarding that? Regarding your WiFi, do you have wifi turned on in settings? Did you get your phone to show up in iTunes on your computer? I think we are dealing with several issues since you said that you have a message on your phone to connect to iTunes and you don't have cellular service.

Most YouTube content requires Flash. Apple does not support Flash for iOS devices.

Try turning iPhone off and then on again.

I am having the SAME exact problem! Except instead of lock button broken it's my home button so I can't do the whole "put in recovery mode" deal. My screen only says "tap the home button 3 times" and it has my screen locked until I hit the home button but since it is broken I can't get in my phone at all. I have all of my work info in my phone so I'm screwed and can't get any help. PLEASE let me know if you find a way around this...!!!

You may be wondering by now, iTunes is not detecting my phone, How do I do that?
Answer:- Just disconnect your phone from the computer. keep Itunes open on the PC. While holding the home button of the iphone plug the phone back in. Itunes will pop a message stating it has detected a phone in recovery mode. just follow the on screen instruction then to restore your phone. If your issue is still not resolved only an Apple technician can help you -

What does it mean when my iPhone won't turn on?
My iPhone 4 has been messing up for the last couple of days. It would turn off on its own & wouldn't turn back on again. When I got it to turn on before, the screen would turn green & then would turn right back off. Now it won't even turn on. Is this a battery issue? I had an issue like that before on my iphone 3G green screen then it blacks out.. Try this if this fix will work for you..
I plugged my iphone on the computer using the original apple cables for a couple of minutes 5-10 atleast, then long press the power button. and it turned back on.. it worked for me. back then. i dunno maybe you can try it. -

hi there all! I just updated my iphone into iOS 7.0.2 last two night. It went perfectly yesterday and last night. but just this morning the time when I want to update app the screen turns black. but when I press home button siri is responding. anything is fine beside only the screen is remain black. I actually want to try restart it with press lock button and home button, but my lock button is broken. And I only using assesitive touch to lock it. but now the screen is black and can't respond.

My screen for facetime freezes and then turns green
I (& my brother) have the same issue when facetiming my sister. She's got an iphone 4s (updated to the current iOS) & my brother & I have iphone 4. The call connects, we see her for a couple of seconds, then it goes all blocky & green screens & drops the call. My brother has also tried on his ipad & gets the same issue, only it reboots the ipad (but it doesn't seem to do that with our phones).
Have had a quick look online but haven't found anything.... only a video that someone posted (which shows what I've described above!)
