What does "Problems were found validating your project" indicate?

I successfully burned (using iDVD3) a 22 minute sequence exported from Final Cut Express 2 as a Quick Time Movie a week ago. Today I exported another sequence, 59 minutes in length, from FCE2 as a Quick Time Movie and when I dragged and dropped it into iDVD3 everything appeared to be fine until I attempted to burn the disc. The following message appeared: "Problems were found validating your project. A DVD must have at least one video track or one slideshow." The movie does "Preview" in iDVD and I can also successfully play it in QuickTime. Any ideas on what is going on??? By the way, I can't even successfully burn the 22 minute sequence I was able to burn a week ago.... I get the same message. Any ideas greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your reply. I don't know what you mean by "background movie." Also, "placeholder" slideshow is unclear. In any case, I have had success since my post in burning a DVD of one of my Quick Time movie exports from Final Cut Express. I saved the movie file to an external drive and used my laptop that has iDVD6. I did get a similar validation error message but was able to work around it by going to some "map" thingy and dragging and dropping the file into a box that seemed to be prompting me to do exactly that! I have two more movie files to burn, so, perhaps by the time I finish those, the mystery will be demystified...... maybe.
I'd appreciate any clarification you could give on the "background" movie and the "placeholder" concept. Thanks again!

  • What does problems were found with the partition map mean

Why is there a problem when I run my disk utility that says "problems were found with the partition map that which might prevent booting"?  Why is there a problem????????

You have to repair your partition map. It's the most important part of the hard drive related to software, because if the partition map doesn't work, the whole hard drive is useless.
As you have OS X Lion, you should be able to repair it while OS X is started. Open Disk Utility (in /Applications/Utilities), choose your hard drive at the top of the sidebar, and press the button to repair the disk. What do you see in the blank box?
Also, after choosing the hard drive in Disk Utility, tell me the SMART status, at the bottom of the window. You may also want to check the Macintosh HD status

It generally helps to include a little more in a question besides just the stack trace. Was it clear to you that this is reporting a problem with your "application.xml" file? The contents of this file would be very useful information.
The error message is saying that it expected to find a "module" element, and it didn't find it. Seeing as this is the principal element that is found in this file, I'm guessing you have almost nothing in this file.
You can see the schema for this file at [http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee/application_5.xsd] (this is for JEE 5. I'm not sure whether the WebLogic version you're using (you've given no indication what version you're using) supports JEE 4 or JEE 5).

  • Weblogic Portal: Error While Deploying: VALIDATION PROBLEMS WERE FOUND

    Hello friends
I am getting following error while deploying EAR on server.
“Module named 'MyEAR' failed to deploy. See Error Log view for more detail.”
    Steps I followed:
1: Created one portal domain successfully and was able to start the serve after thatr.
2: Created one Portal EAR Project and added it on server.
Now when I am restarting the server, getting following error/log

    Thanks & Regards

I have seen this problem also. To be clear, this occurs straight out of the box. In other words - launch eclipse, create a new workspace, create a new portal EAR project with the wizard, and then try to deploy it without touching anything. In fact, try changing the portal's facets to anything, plain EAR, 11g default, Portal EAR - it doesn't matter. It will not deploy. Either you get this error or you get deployment errors complaining about missing library references in the weblogic-application.xml. Then - you have to do surgery just to get an 'out of the box' portal to run. Very frustrating.

hello i have some games and tv shows that my friends gave to me on y i pod video and then i want to put them on my i tunes. what do i do? transfer purcheses from My ( My Ipod) thn if i do then it says that i need to authorize my computer. what does that mean and should i do it. i mean i want to ge the game and tv shows off my i pod onto the i tunes so its like i bougt it. but i dont want to take the game and tv show off ,off my i pod. i just want to get then on my i tunes so they dont get deleted when i get more games or tv shows what should i do PLEASE HELP. thank you very much.

Authorizing is just a confirmation that you bought it. Its itunes security pretty much. You can have up to 5 computers with the same song game or video. To authorize it you just put in your account info. Pretty much so that limewire people cant host songs and videos off itunes that they bought

  • What does the value of the BUFFERING variable indicate of MediaPlayer?

    Hi,
I am trying to play a video(wmv) on a Windows Vista pc. The MediaView loads correctly: I see the black box the View appear, and I have print statements to let me know when player.play() is called. They print out with no Exceptions. I also print out the MediaPlayer.BUFFERING var. It prints as 3.0. What does this mean?
My problem is that the video is not playing.
    Jman

    Hi
MediaPlayer.BUFFERING is a status variable tha you can use to check the status of your player. As you can see on the [API page of MediaPlayer|http://java.sun.com/javafx/1.2/docs/api/javafx.scene.media/javafx.scene.media.MediaPlayer.html] there are also MediaPlayer.PAUSED, MediaPlayer.PLAYING and so on.
    The usage looks like this:
    if (myplayerinstance.status == MediaPlayer.BUFFERING){
    //do something
}If you want to check how much of the media stream has already been buffered you may use "myplayerinstance.bufferProgressTime".
Hope that answered your question on the BUFFERING value.
To find out why the video isn't playing you could use the callBack functions and print out status and bufferProgressTime each time a callback (myinstance.onXY() ) is beeing called.

  • What does "Allow Photos to Access Your Media?" mean?

I don't know what this means. My iPhoto library has been migrated to Photos. It only asks me for this on pictures I had before I updated. The message says this:
"Allow Photos to Access Your Media?
Some of your photos and videos are stared outside of
the Photos library. Photos needs permission to
access this media. Please choose the folder names
"JoshuaAnderson" at the path "Macintosh HD/User?".
I've done this but what comes back is:
"Could not find the original file
"File Name.jpg" in the selected folder.
Would you like to try to locate it again?"
I've tried selecting the whole HD but that doesn't work either. I haven't deleted any of these pictures and they show up in the Photos app.
Am I doing something wrong or did I lose my photos in the migration?

I've have the same issue. The photos that imported directly into iPhoto have migrated fine, I have about 12,000 photos that were referenced, or dragged in I suppose you could say, into iPhoto. These photos have not been referenced, and need to be consolidated. But when I do this, it gives me this error, and seemingly one photo at a time, it asks me to give permission, then physically find the photo.
It takes about 2-3 minutes a photo to do this. Obviously I am not going to do this 12,000 times.
I assume that there is a much easier way to do this. I have repaired disk permissions etc.

  • Problems Were Found With The Partition Map

I keep getting that error when I verify my disk after I boot up Lion and verify the 320.07 GB Hitachi Option. When I follow the instructions to repair the disk the problem doesn't seem to pop up but when I double chek it's still there. When I hit the Mac HD option it says the Macintosh HD option was found corrupt and needs to be repaired. I follow those same steps they give me but nothing bad pops up when I hit the repair disk option. I don't know how this is possible or what to do help please!!! I am running Mac OS X 10.7.5 Lion on a 2011 Macbook Pro 320gb 2.3Ghz i5 processor if that helps.

Do as instructed - you really just need to verify and repair the "Macintosh HD" partition.
Boot to your Recovery partition by starting up whilst holding down the Command and R keys. When the Recovery screen comes up, use Disk Utility to try and verify and repair the Macintosh HD partition. DU may be able to repair it, maybe not - it could be a sign that your disk is failing.
If you can boot to Macintosh HD, I would immediately backup all data before attempting a repair. Your drive may be unsalvageable at this point and you need - now - to try some backup scheme before the disk fails entirely.
    Good luck - call back...
    Clinton

  • Go back to Comcast? At least I knew what the problems were..

I have a couple of days to make a decision about keeping FIOS, and I've had an extremely frustrating 28 days.  I've had numerous problems over this time.
Do Level 3 techs exist, and would they actually research an issue or just do what everyone has done and tell me they don't know?
I've had FIOS for less than 4 weeks, and it's not enough time for me to decide to stay or go.  Too many problems with no acceptable feedback.
    I'm on my
    2nd ONT
    4th STB (Cisco 435HDC)
    3rd Router (Actiontec MI424WR Rev I)
Between me and my most recent tech, we tested running many different coax configs, including running coax directly from the ONT to a splitter where my TV and router are.
I think I've had every splitter and coax cable swapped out except for the one in the wall that runs upstairs to the TV and Router, but it doesn't seem that it would be the problem.
The next thing they want to try is giving me an older router...I'd like to skip that step if possible, or I'd like a good reason why they want to do that, instead of just throwing another piece of hardware at the problem because they don't know what else to do.
I'm wondering if some things a dispatched tech and I found could be causing it.  Some of this may be normal, I just need to know that.
    For example, is this normal?
    D01 Health Check Summary
    1. MoCA often (usually at least a couple times a minute) changes status between Unacceptable and Good?
    2. CableCARD changes from Good to Failed?
    3. Cable Status changes from Connected to Partial?
    4. OOB Turner from Good to Unacceptable?
    5. IB Tuner - Good to Fair or Not In Use?
    6. More infrequently, but still a few times in the hour I have the diag screen up, I see..
Provisioning Status changes to In Progress  and
           Software Download to Unknown
Unfortunately, I can't tell you which MoCA connection is coming up as Unacceptable, it doesn't differentiate (at least not on this screen) between the STB-Router connection and the Router-ONT connection.
Someone please, please help me.  I really wanted to like FIOS, but dealing with this for almost a month has been very trying.
    Thanks in advance.

Thanks. The last guy out here actually did that. He ran a cable from the ONT to the splitter upstairs, which connects the DVR and router. Still had problems.. We tried a lot of different configurations, and saw problems with all of them. Actually, none of it makes sense. For a while we thought we had determined it was the internal cabling, but then we were proven wrong. The whole thing is very strange, and has baffled many. The last guy was here for 4 hours his second day trying to give each change in configuration a chance to "settle."
I was hoping someone at Verizon would call Cisco to find out how what is normal for those diags.
