What dumb mistake am I making with these a tags?

I cannot get what would be over riding these tags. Its at the end of the .css so they should have hierarchical priority. Did I write them wrong? a tags are pretty straight forward. They're defaulting to the global settings above them. So here's the class tag and its a tags
.ContentH {
    font-family: Verdana;
    color:#000;
    padding: 0 20px 30px 20px;
    font-size: 12px;
    line-height: 20px;
.ContentH a{
    text-decoration: none;
.ContentH a:hover{
    text-decoration: underline;

Possibly you have 'a' tags on that page in the same <div> that have been styled using an 'id'?
#divName a {
blah: blah;
In that case this would be of a higher value than 'class' so would overide your 'class'. You would need to write your 'class' like:
#divName .ContentH a {
text-decoration: none;
#divName .ContentH a:hover {
text-decoration: underline;
