What is the actual use of T180 table????

Hi  Sap Gurus,
We hav an requirement that instead of using transaction codes VL01,VL01N,VL02,VL02N,VA01,VA02,, we need to use T180 table.
So what is actual use of T180?.
Why we use this table?
Thanks in advance.
Regards.....Kumar

Hi Kumar,
             Check the below details :
Actually VA22 and other transactions of SAPMV45A program fetch
the information on SET/GET parameters from table T180. See
subroutine VBAK-VBELN_GET_PARAMETER. The name of Set/get
parameter depends on T180-TRVOG field. Actually for VA22 the
parameter is AGN.
We use the T180-TRTYP field to know whether it is CHANGE or DISPLAY or Create Transaction.
If it is V it is changed .
see the other values of this field.
Only we use this particular field in the programs.
Masked
A Display
B Edit
C Display from archive
E Single-item planning
H Add
V Change
X Initial transaction
S Standard parameter: normal mode

    MM Process flow:
The typical procurement cycle for a service or material consists of the following phases:
    1. Determination of Requirements
Materials requirements are identified either in the user departments or via materials planning and control. (This can cover both MRP proper and the demand-based approach to inventory control. The regular checking of stock levels of materials defined by master records, use of the order-point method, and forecasting on the basis of past usage are important aspects of the latter.) You can enter purchase requisitions yourself, or they can be generated automatically by the materials planning and control system.
    2. Source Determination
The Purchasing component helps you identify potential sources of supply based on past orders and existing longer-term purchase agreements. This speeds the process of creating requests for quotation (RFQs), which can be sent to vendors electronically via SAP EDI, if desired.
    3. Vendor Selection and Comparison of Quotations
The system is capable of simulating pricing scenarios, allowing you to compare a number of different quotations. Rejection letters can be sent automatically.
    4. Purchase Order Processing
The Purchasing system adopts information from the requisition and the quotation to help you create a purchase order. As with purchase requisitions, you can generate Pos yourself or have the system generate them automatically. Vendor scheduling agreements and contracts (in the SAP System, types of longer-term purchase agreement) are also supported.
    5. Purchase Order Follow-Up
The system checks the reminder periods you have specified and - if necessary - automatically prints reminders or expediters at the predefined intervals. It also provides you with an up-to-date status of all purchase requisitions, quotations, and purchase orders.
    6. Goods Receiving and Inventory Management
Goods Receiving personnel can confirm the receipt of goods simply by entering the Po number. By specifying permissible tolerances, buyers can limit over- and underdeliveries of ordered goods.
    7. Invoice Verification
The system supports the checking and matching of invoices. The accounts payable clerk is notified of quantity and price variances because the system has access to PO and goods receipt data. This speeds the process of auditing and clearing invoices for payment.

  • What is the actual use of the background print parameters

    Hello all,
When we are scheduling a job it asks for print parameters like output device:
Can any one please let me know what is the actual meaning of print parameters and what it does when we set spool parameters.
    Thanks, kumar.

    Hi Bharani,
Normally when you execute a job in the back ground say like time taking reports or daily Scheduled background jobs, system will create a spool request for that so that you would be able to view the output of the report later and further take the printout etc. Hence, it is asking for print parameters.
Print parameters are those where you specify the output device, print preview, spool retention period etc, Basically those are the settings required for the way a print job needs to be triggered.

  • What is the basic use of Interface Tables

    Hi there,
We are trying to connect and send data to the EBS Oracle System.
We are facing different scenarios and I don't know which one to use in which scenario?
So if I add a vendor for instance, should I use the Interface tables or call a stored procedure?
When using interface tables would I have a feedback? Success/Failure and if there is a failure would I have a detailed exception (Name too long, id mendatory...etc.)
    Same question for stored procedure
A simple answer would be very helpful, and a link to any documentation would be great
    Thanks

    Hi,
using interface tables is - normally - accompanied by a concurrent request, which does data validation, generation of a report and data import as well.
So - if you are using correct data structures - using interface tables and running matching concurrent request might save you a lot of time.
Most concurrent requests which are processing open interface tables are generating some detailled reports on records being processed or having
failed validation. In addition you normally have some kind of status flag in open interface tables indicating processing state and sometimes error codes
as well (see gl_interface table or ap_invoices_interface tables).
When using api packages, you may have more flexibility (sometimes more features, when looking at the TCA apis), but you have to do some extra
coding for validation, populating default values and so on.
API Packages do always return a success/error state, which can be extracted in detail by using fnd_msg_pub package - but you have to code it by
    yourself.
I would say open interface tables are a bit easier to handle whereas some of the api packages need more experience (e.g. when talking about TCA apis,
there are some steps to do in the right order to get a customer created).

    Hi,
Table pools are special table types in the ABAP Dictionary. The data from several different tables can be stored together in a table pool or table cluster. Tables assigned to a table pool or table cluster are referred to as pooled tables or cluster tables.
This table are similar to the CLUSTER table types but these work on "LINEAR SEARCH" while CLUSTER TABLE uses "BINARY SEARCH to retrieve the data from the various tables and thsi is mainly used in the logical databases "LDB's" used in HR or ABAP-HR.
A table in the database in which all records from the pooled tables assigned to the table pool are stored corresponds to a table pool.
The definition of a pool consists essentially of two key fields (Tabname and Varkey) and a long argument field (Vardata).
Table Clusters Several logical data records from different cluster tables can be stored together in one physical
    record in a table cluster.
A cluster key consists of a series of freely definable key fields and a field (Pageno) for distinguishing continuation records. A cluster also contains a long field (Vardata) that contains the contents of the data fields of the cluster tables for this key. If the data does not fit into the long field, continuation records are created. Control information on the structure of the data string is still written at the beginning of the Vardata field.

    Hi  guru's
could u explain  whats the Actual use of the Setup table apart from the Full/Init  loads  in Lo Extraction

    Hello Guru,
The Setup table is used mainly for storing the Historical data whereas the new and changed records will be maintained in the Update table.
By storing the Historical data in the setup table you don't need to disturb the Application table anymore.

My requirement is to update 3 valuesets daily based on data coming to my staging table. What is the API used for this and how to map any API to our staging table? I am totally new to oracle and apps. Please help. Thanks!

    Hi,
You could use FND_FLEX_LOADER_APIS.UP_VALUE_SET_VALUE to upload them from staging table (I suppose you mean value set values...).
You can find a sample scripts if you google around.
What do you mean "how to map any API to our staging table" ?
You should do at least the following mapping (which column(s) in the staging table will provide these information):
    - the 3 value sets name which you're going to update/upload (I suppose these are existing value sets or which have been already created)
    - the value set values and  description
Try to start with something and if there is any issues the community could then help... but for the time being with the description of the problem you have provided, that's the best I can do...

  • What are dyanmic internal tables and what s the exact use of forall entries

what are dyanmic internal tables and what s the exact use of forall entries?

    hi,
    <u><b>dynamic internal table.</b></u>
    http://searchsap.techtarget.com/tip/1,289483,sid21_gci912390,00.html
    http://www.sap-img.com/ab030.htm
    <u><b>
FOR ALL ENTRIES</b></u> is an effective way of doing away with using JOIN on two tables.
You can check the below code -
    SELECT BUKRS BELNR GJAHR AUGDT
    FROM BSEG
    INTO TABLE I_BSEG
    WHERE BUKRS = ....
    SELECT BUKRS BELNR BLART BLDAT
    FROM BKPF
    INTO TABLE I_BKPF
    FOR ALL ENTRIES IN I_BSEG
    WHERE BUKRS = I_BSEG-BUKRS
    AND BELNR = I_BSEG-BELNR
    AND BLDAT IN SO_BLDAT.
    *******************************8
    look another example
what is the use of FOR ALL ENTRIES
    1. INNER JOIN
    DBTAB1 <----
    > DBTAB2
It is used to JOIN two DATABASE tables
    having some COMMON fields.
    2. Whereas
    For All Entries,
    DBTAB1 <----
    > ITAB1
is not at all related to two DATABASE tables.
It is related to INTERNAL table.
    3. If we want to fetch data
    from some DBTABLE1
    but we want to fetch
    for only some records
which are contained in some internal table,
then we use for alll entries.
    1. simple example of for all entries.
    2. NOTE THAT
    In for all entries,
it is NOT necessary to use TWO DBTABLES.
    (as against JOIN)
    3. use this program (just copy paste)
    it will fetch data
    from T001
FOR ONLY TWO COMPANIES (as mentioned in itab)
    4
    REPORT abc.
DATA : BEGIN OF itab OCCURS 0,
    bukrs LIKE t001-bukrs,
    END OF itab.
DATA : t001 LIKE TABLE OF t001 WITH HEADER LINE.
    itab-bukrs = '1000'.
    APPEND itab.
    itab-bukrs = '1100'.
    APPEND itab.
    SELECT * FROM t001
    INTO TABLE t001
    FOR ALL ENTRIES IN itab
    WHERE bukrs = itab-bukrs.
    LOOP AT t001.
    WRITE :/ t001-bukrs.
    ENDLOOP.
    Hope this helps!

  • Hi Friends what are the actual differences between  AT NEW & ON CHANGE

what are the actual differences between  AT NEW & ON CHANGE ? can you list some of the differences?

    Hi,
    At New
    1. When a new record comes at new triggers. Atnew only used inside loop and endloop.
    2. At new is controlbreak statment on at new the left side field change, the event
trigers and the values become 0 and *
    On Change
    1. On change of works same like at-new but the diff is it can be used out side of a loop, like select and endselect, case endcase.
2.. on change of is not a control break statement and we can use onchange of out side the loop
    and
The Major difference between the two is that AT NEW can be used ONLY for INTERNAL TABLES, while ON CHANGE OF can be used for any loop processing i.e do..enddo, while..endwhile and loop..endloop also.
    AT NEW <field>
The block will be executed when the SY-TABIX is 1 (or) when the SY-TABIX 1 value has a change with the SY-TABIX value.
With this block the field towards the right to the field are not accessable with in the block, and are shown with '*'. They can be accessed outside the block.
    ON CHANGE OF <itab>-<field>
The block also works similar to the AT First. In this block all the fields are accesseble.
ON CHANGE OF triggers whenever there is a change in that particular field.
AT NEW triggers whenever there is a change in the fields before that particular field.ie. if there is a change in that combinations from the first field.
On change off' works on variabels. The 1st time the statement isreached a memory copy is made of the value. The next time the statementis reached, the current value is compared to the stored value. If thereis a difference, the coding between ON... and ENDON. is executed. Youcan use this for a table workarea field, but if you have the table loopin a routine and the routine called several times, you can get unwantedresults. (Check the value of the last loop with the value of the firstnew loop.)
The AT NEW (and others like AT END OF...) are specially for table loopprocessing. The coding between AT new FIELD and ANDAT is triggerdwhenever a the field or any field defined to the left is changed. Yourtable should be sorted by all fields from the left up to the consideredFIELD. Btw all fields to the right contain *, so it can be usefull tohave a second workarea filled to be printed or what ever you want.

  • What is the actual size of an (empty) varray in a record?

what is the actual size occupied by an (empty) varray in a record?
For example, if I create my table defined as:
create or replace type XXX as object (
    myRefs VARRAY(10) of REF(yyy)
    create table YYY as XXX;
what is the actual size of the record of type XXX when 'myRefs' is empty? For some reason, select data_length from all_tab_cols where table_name = YYY seems always to return 3K as the length of column myrefs.... is that correct? If not, what is the correct size?

    A tad late here...
Storage sizes of REF attributes are described here:
[Design Considerations for REFs - Storage Size of REFs|http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E11882_01/appdev.112/e11822/adobjdes.htm#i452226]
The size of your REF attribute (or element, in your case) will depend on whether it is primary key-based or system-generated, whether it is scoped or not, and whether it carries with it a rowid hint. The overall size of your VARRAY attribute as it grows will also depend on whether you allow null REF values or not, but essentially will be the size of your REF multiplied times the number of elements in your VARRAY (plus a small, constant amount of storage for internal housekeeping, both for the attribute and for each element).
You could try the VSIZE function as an appromixation...
    [Oracle® Database SQL Language Reference - VSIZE|http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E11882_01/server.112/e17118/functions233.htm#SQLRF06162]
    Hope it helps...

  • What is the exact use of statistical updates in V1,V2 and V3

    Hi,
Can anyone answer me some questions.
    1. what is the exact use of statistial update in V1,v2 and V3. If data is same in both document update and statistical update the why u need a second table with redundant data.
    2. When BW extracts data is it recommended to extract from statistical tables or document updated tables.(i read that statistical updation is tailored for reporting)
    3. Is V3 applicable only when BW extracts data from R/3.
4.In case of V3 the initialization of updates are done from BW side or R/3 side. i mean is there any relationship between scheduling of dataloading using an infopackage in BW and the V3 process taking place in R/3

    1. First one has to understand that R3 is OLTP system purely used for transactin processing while BW is used for OLAP ie reporting purpose only. At a table level if we do not have  a redundant second table the R3 system will be over loaded when the OLTP & the OLAP systems access the same table for their respective purposes. So we have to take data from the document table with a time lag and put into the statistical tables so that BW will get the data as and when required.
    2. This question is related to 1 and the above answers both.
    3. V3 is a generic process and is used for data extraction from the R3 transaction tables and can be used for any system as such.
    4. Both the processes are independent of each other and there is no relationship.
    Hope this helps
    Cheers
    Viva

  • What is the actual cost of SAP original Software?

    hi experts
<b>What is the actual cost of SAP original Software to implement in one software company.</b>
    thanks in advnace

    Between $1 and $100,000,000.
Lots of variables... yearly licensing fees or full purchase, R/3 or complete NetWeaver suite, single user or multi-user, several levels of support or no support, implementation partner expenses, types of hardware, etc....
    EDIT:
I just noticed you said "one software company".  There are other options if you want to be a "partner".  It is one thing to use the software to run your company, it is another if you want the software because your company wants to develop add-ons.

  • What is the actual cost of these plans?

What is the actual cost of these plans?
    * $59.99 a month for 450 minutes
    * $79.99 a month for 900 minutes
    * $99.99 a month for 1,350 minutes
Although they will very, Answers welcome from anyone in the USA. So I can have and idea of the cost with taxes and fees. I am located in both LA and NYC. I currently have a NYC number with Verizion using the 450 minutes plan. The plan cost $39.99 before taxes and fees and $48.42 after taxes and fees.
    Breakdown of Monthly Access Charges:
    450 minute plan: $39.99
Verizon Wireless' Surcharges and Other Charges & Credits: $3.31
Taxes, Governmental Surcharges & Fees: $5.12
    Total Current Charges: *$48.42*

My plan total is $84.99/month, then with taxes and fees it comes to $93.40 each month as the total bill. The biggest fee is the state sales tax, at just over $5 on my last bill. Then the 911 fees, fed regulatory fees, and all that are a few bucks each.
    My plan -
    450 Minute (required) $39.99
    Unlimited Data (required) $30
    1500 Text msgs (optional) $15
    Total = $84.99

  • What are the materials used for the earbuds/earphones??

What are the materials used for the earbuds/earphones?? Like whats the plastic used and what are the speaker materials and the volume button???

    Hello Veronica176
The materials in Apple headphones include Neodymium magnets, oxygen-free electrolysis copper wire and a Nickel plated plug
Apple uses Neodymium magnets in their headphones as it is much more magnetic compared to that of a ferrite magnet. This also further enhances the accoustics of sound and preventing any loss of sound. Because of this, you can get the same sound out of Apple headphones as the good ol' circum-aural headphones (image attached).
Oxygen free copper wire is created through electrolysis which is furthermore considered an above average material for headphones, thus ensuring better sound quality. Oxygen free copper wire ensures a faster transfer time (as copper is one of the best conductors) and because of this, allows a faster transfer time, minimising loss. This means the sound quality of the music/sound playing may actually depend more on the quality of the MP3 file than the headphones.
The nickel plated plug used by Apple is a standard connection and joins to a female connection into the iPod (for example) which is also nickel plated. Where gold plated plugs are renowned to transfer more data and superior sound quality when connected to any device. Connecting the same metals during transfer (nickel plated plugs and nickel female connections) ensures optimum sound as the signal will not be jumping different kinds of metal. The lack of gold plating also helps to reduce the cost in manufacturing and to the customer.
