What is the maxium number a vector can handle

Hi,
Well since I have not recieved any replies as of yet to my
other question, and since I need to push my project along, I
decided to use the behaviour scripts given at director-online/havok
site, and I applied them to my car. In additioin, I am also trying
to use the create terrain behaviour that is included in the raycast
jeep demo. However, I would like to set my terrain size to 6000
units in width and 6000 units in depth. So when I attach the
behaviour to the 3d scene, the getPropertyDescriptionList dialog
window opens to allow you to set the terrain's size, which it asks
you to set the upper left corner vector which I set it to
vector(3000, 0, -3000) and then it asks you to set the lower right
coner vector which I set this to vector(-3000, 0, 3000) which in
total should give me the size of 6000 units in width and 6000 units
in depth. However, after I click on the "OK" button my values
change to the following...
upper left corner = vector(3.00000e3, 0, -3.00000e3)
lower right corner = vector(-3.00000e3, 0, 3.00000e3)
In addition, not only that the whole number changed from 3000
to 3, but the biggest problem is that because the end values have
the e3 added to it I get a script error when I play the movie. So I
was wondering if there is a maximum number that a vector unit can
handle? If so then is there another type of format I could use that
handle larger numbers? Or is this a bug in Director 8.51. Yeah I
know, I am way behind in the software versions, but I do not have
$1200 to shovle out for a new version of Director.

Oh I see. So I guess what you are saying is that is
Director's way of compressing vector numbers. Also, as to what you
were saying about the number 3000 is sure not the limit for vector
units, I think I was just jumping the gun considering that I only
glanced at the script error, and then clicked on the debug button
to see where the error happened. Then once I looked at the varibles
in the varible window, I saw these weird numbers with the e3 at the
end of them, and I just thought that it could not add the vectors
together with the e3 at the end of each vector unit. However, to
make a long story short, I detached the script and reattached it
which did no create the error again, and I learned that Director
can add vector units together that have an e3 at the end of each
vector unit. So thanks for clarifying what the e3 means.

  • What is the file size that ODI can handle

    Hi all,
What is the file size that ODI can handle ?????????
can it handle 1GB files without any issues?????????
    Thanks
    Phani

    Hi Phani,
It also depends on the type of file you are transfering. If have used the XML file around 1GB and the performance is very low. But we used the Database schema to load the XML data and the performance had increased very well.
I never tried the large flat files load around 1GB.

  • What is the biggest DB size SQLserver can handle ?

    Experts:
We are going to start SAP projects for terabyte DBs.
What is the maximum DB size SQLserver(2005, 2008) can handle without serious performance issue?
    Thanks a lot!

    Hi,
we run multiple SAP systems  beyond 1 TB (biggest around 12 TB) without any performance issues. Performance is not directly related to the size of the DB but on how you distribute the data (I/O capacity). Important factors are number of data files, type of storage (SAN, NAS,...), number of spindels, number of users, proper indexing and so on. Also, your DB server hardware should be able to process the data delivered by the storage system (CPU + RAM).
The size of the DB ist not the important performance factor but the underlying hardware.

  • What is the total throughput a WIC can handle

I have a 2621 with a WIC card supporting a T-1. I would like to I-Mux three T-1s across the WIC port. I know that it was not recommended to put more than (3)T-1s across a FSIP of a 7000. But I am not sure about WICs.

You cannot mux 3 T1s into one WIC port.

  • What's the maximum number of Apple TVs that can be displayed in the AirPlay list?

We have 50 conference rooms all on the same network and are considering equiping each one with an Apple TV for AirPlay Mirroring our iPad 2s to the rooms projector, or TV. What is the maximum number of Apple TVs that can be displayed in the AirPlay menu to select the correct Apple TV for the conference room being used?

From what you're saying it sounds as though you wouldn't want to Airplay to all AppleTVs at once, just identify them when that specific room in use?
This is one of those uncharted territories wheer most domestic users will not require such a set up - Apple provide no official info about this, but they'd be your best source to ask.

  • In C4: What determines the max number of slide one can successfully publish?

    Using C4.
I am required by policy to use an original PowerPoint file. The total number of slide equals 72 (file size 38,201 KB when completed). The internal customer wants a "kicky" presentation based on her slides, so I must use some of the Captivate tools (e.g. zoom area, highlight box -- about the limit of my skills). And there must be spoken narration, not the text to speech feature. Total time for the 72 slides is 22.5 minutes when all is done. When published the narration is good, but the "kicky" part fails. Specifically some highlight boxes do not appear on many slides.
I deleted the table-of-contents feature. The most unusual tools that I'm using are the certificate widget, and a page turning widget.
I tried breaking the presentation into two parts. Part 1 was 58 slides and I experienced the same behavior. I've not tried part two yet.
In the past, I practiced, on my computer, with the aggregator. Is this the best route? We have no experience hosting an aggregator project on our server. Are there any special concerns about doing so? (I'm not the person who does this. He is out of the office at this time). Would daisy-chaining be a better route? (if so, what is the best source for instruction to do this?)

Again, I did not see the elephant in the room. I neglected to notice a default setting. Once corrected, everything works. My bad.
But, I would still like to know what determines the maximum number of slides on can successfully publish without Aggregator or daisy-chaining.

  • What is the maximum number of line items we can enter in an order...

    Hi,
Can anyone explain what is the max number of line items that v can enter in an order....
or if i want to increase the number of line items than the max where it is controlled.
Because my mm counter part is facing this in the PO he could make only 9999,the problem is when posting...the accounting document is not getting generated bcas of exceeding the limit.
    venugopal

    hi,
this is my personal experiance that we can enter at the most 499 line items in SALES ORDER.
This is because for every line item there will be 2 financial entries, debit and credit. and 1 FI document can have at the most 999 line items (which we can not increase without KEY fromSAP)
If we divide 999 by 2 then it comes to 499.50 so you can enter at the most 499 line items in Sales order.

  • What is the maximum number of columns that can be displayed by sqlplus?

    Hello,
    Questions:
Is there a limit on what sqlplus can display?
What is the maximum number of columns that can be displayed by sqlplus?
I cannot find anything on this in my search. I checked the limits page:
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14357/apa.htm#sthref3658
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/server.112/e16604/apa.htm#i635278
It does not specify any column limits; however, I'm thinking it is tied to LINESIZE which is system dependent.
    Please confirm if true.
    Thanks!

Received answer directly from SQL*Plus Development:
"sqlplus does not have a limit on the number of columns it displays."
They created a table with more than 256 columns with data and had no problem retrieving the data.

  • TS1503 what is the maximum number of pictures I can store and keep on my iPhone 3G?

What is the maximum number of pictures I can store (and keep indefinitely) on my iPhone 3GS (8GB)?

It is a balancing act between your photos and everything else you have on the device (apps, mail, messages, etc.), so there is no specific "number" we can give you. Just keep track of your available memory, and make sure you back up your photos regularly so if you reach the maximum memory capacity, you can delete the oldest ones without worrying that they are not saved somewhere else:

For TimesTen 7.0 and 11.2.1 releases the limit on the number of columns per table is 1000 for both 32 and 64 bit TimesTen. This can be found in the documentation under System Limits.

  • What is the Max Number of Total Work Process that we can Have on  One C.I

    Hi,
What is the Max Number of Total Work Process that we can have on a Single C.I
Is there any Limit that We can only have Perticular Number of Total work process ?
Or it is just Unlimited number of total work process
    Thanks & Regards
    Dan.

from the system throughput point of view a rule of a thumb is:
1 up to 4 sometimes 5 workprocesses per CPU.
(one is used in Benchmarks where you have a very small number of transactions running with a small amount of database accesses)
you can easily find it out:
configure 4 WPs per CPU. If you have a number of WP's consuming nearly no CPU time you can reduce the number of WPs.
