What's focus-angle and  focus-distance in CSS radial-gradients?

Reading the reference ( http://docs.oracle.com/javafx/2.0/api/javafx/scene/doc-files/cssref.html#typepaint ) I found these two values you can set in a radial-gradient definition:
radial-gradient([ *focus-angle* <angle>, ]? [ *focus-distance* <percentage>, ]? [ center <point>, ]? radius [ <length> | <percentage> ] [ [ repeat | reflect ], ]? <color-stop>[, <color-stop>]+)
Could someone enlighten me what they mean? I wrote a little tool for visual definition of Gradients (http://88.198.17.44/blog/2012/04/13/it-works-fxexperience-tools-gradienteditor-plugin/) as an extension to FXExperience Tools, and I'd like to include it if it makes sense.
Thanks
Toni

focus-angle and focus-distance are together used to determine the focal point of the radial pattern.

  • Keeping track of focus gains and losses

    In my application, I have a text field that a user can type in an artist/title and search a music library for the query. This application is for a touchscreen so I've included a popup keyboard for the user since no keyboard will be available to use.
    The idea behind it is the user touches the text field and gives it focus. Once focus is given to the text box, ther user will then be able to touch/click a JButton that will pop up a keyboard panel. I would like to pass to the keyboard panel which text field last had focus so as they touch the on-screen keys, it will type text into the last focused text field.
    I read over the tutorial for using focus listeners and I understand how that works, but how can I go about getting the object that last had focus?
    I'm thinking along the lines of have a focus listener on the JButton that displays the keyboard:
    // This is called when the user touches the button to display the keyboard
    if (artistText.focusLost)
    keyboardFocus("artist");
    }Obviously the above code isn't valid, but it's how I'm trying to explain myself. keyboardFocus method will have code to setText() to the artistText text field. I can figure that one out.

    I was testing something before you replied and I was wondering if it would be practical.
    Here is the partial code on my GUI class:
    // Calls the keyboardFocus() method whenever focus is lost on the field
    // and passes the component name
        private void titleTextFocusLost (java.awt.event.FocusEvent evt)
            keyboardFocus(titleText);
    // Takes the passed component and stores it in a public variable
        private void keyboardFocus (JTextField comp)
            lastFocus = comp;
    // Variable that stores that compoent that last had focus
        public static JTextField lastFocus;Here is a snippet from my Keyboard class:
    // Then the Q button is pressed, the letter Q is set as the text to the last
    // JTextField of focus
        private void qKeyActionPerformed (java.awt.event.ActionEvent evt)
            GUI.lastFocus.setText ("Q");
        } If this isn't practical, I'd definate be willing to change it, but what do you think?

  • Plazmic CDK 4.6 caret and focus button issues

    I hope I'm posting in the right thread? This is regarding the Plazmic CDK 4.6 for Blackberry - to create your own themes.
    Ok. I think I some what get the hang of Plazmic CDK 4.6 except for a few things.
    I use ArcSoft PhotoStudio to make color changes to certain things. However, in the Today style, when I try to change the 'caret' color, which is that selection bar, no matter how much I resize it, it always looks really thick, almost covering the top of the 2nd line (see image below).
    Also, when I try to change the focus circle, I open it with PhotoStudio and it changes the circle to this circle with a box around it, so when I try to change the color, it turns out like this (see picture below)
    I also have issues with using a transparent background if I upload and make minor changes to an icon (see picture below). So I found this american flag icon, altered the pic to make the colors darker, then it adds this white background instead of keeping it transparent.
    Is there a better program I could be using? Or any idea how to make these changes with this program? Or where can I find 'caret' and 'focus' icons so I don't have to worry about changing the colors.
    Sorry if I sound confusing, hopefully someone understands what I'm saying?
    Thanks!

    you can only use Plazmik, sorry.
    about transparency, when you use your drawing software and save the images, do you use a format that supports transparency ? There are two : GIF and PNG. All others add an opaque background color.

The focus button I depress on photo mode will flash green for ages and will not focus at all. The video looks like it is stuck on high zoom and will not do anything.
    £499 I paid for this phone and for a phone thats a lot of cash to pay for just that A PHONE!!!

    The place where I got it from is not even answering the phone or emails I am sending to get it sorted, even the Nokia Shop where I took it to get it f/w uploaded told me to send it back to where I got it from in the 1st place next time.
    So Nokia, if your listening, help me out here?
    So far since I got this phone.
    Bad software version so new phone could not use as it suggested.

    I would suggest not to use JWindow but JPopupMenu! In
    the JPopupMenu you can add any swing-components!
    You can show the Popup in focusGained (ok, that is
    not so user-friendly, in my opinion a shortcut would
    do better!).
    The Popup will hide automatically if you click with
    the mouse somewhere else or hit escape.Thank you for the reply.
    I'm still having problems. I'd prefer not to use a jpopupmenu, because I want to use that for something else. This was just going to be a simple list that would appear near the text field so user could have a list of options to choose from.
    Focus gained on the textfield brings up the list. Selecting something on the list clears it (hides). This idea works well on the mac. But on the pc the jwindow keeps hiding behind the main frame ?
    I have the following code
    The windows is created as follows
         listWindow = new JWindow(SwingUtilities.getWindowAncestor(this));
    listWindow.getContentPane().add(pane);
    listWindow.setVisible(false);
    pane contains the jlist of values
    Then the textfield is as follows
    textField.addFocusListener(new java.awt.event.FocusAdapter() {
    public void focusGained(java.awt.event.FocusEvent evt) {
    if (showListWindow) {
    if (!listWindow.isVisible()) {
    Point los = getLocationOnScreen();
    listWindow.setVisible(true);
    listWindow.setLocation(los.x +580, los.y +75);
    listWindow.pack();
    listWindow.toFront();
              textField().requestFocus();
    I use a boolean showListWindow to decide when to show. Because I noticed that displaying the jlist and requesting focus to the textfield caused the focusGain to fire again.
    Any ideas why the pc keeps the list hidden ? If I move the main frame I can see !

  • AWT and focusing on different windows

    Hey guys.
    I have a problem, I'm trying to set the focus a window but can't.
    I have two windows A and B.
    I also have a Events being picked up set on window A.
    So the set of events are detailed as follows.
    Window A display's and responds to events.
    When a particular event occurs it loads up a new window (WindowB) and focus is given to that window.Wasn't a problem until we realised that there was a delay between Window A being displayed and Window B being displayed, enough to cause a problem.
    So the code was changed like follows.
    WindowB.pack();
    WindowB.setVisible(true);
    WindowA.setVisible(false);When it was changed to the above, we lost the ability to pick up keyboard events, as WindowA was still the window with focus.
    I've had a look at the KeyboardFocusManager where it seems that focus can be change between components.
    However is also states for method setGlobalFocusWindow() that it can only be set if it is in the same context.
    Which it is not.
    Is it possible to set focus to the window before the window has been set visible? Is KeyboardManager the right class to look at?
    Sorry about the lack of code(It's spread in many directions and is sensitive)
    Thanks for any help in advance

  • RemoteApp and focus on dialog boxes

    We are publishing our applications to the user using RemoteApp.
    It happens rather often that when you do something in an app that causes the app to display a dialogbox or maybe just another window
    the new window will come up behind the app and impossible to get to. It seems it wont get focus properly and you cannot minimize the app in order to see the window that is requiring your action
    I have found a couple of notes about it but nothing with any sugestion to a solution or so.
    Anyone seen this before and knows anything more about it
    Owe

    I too also wonder if there is a fix for this, we are using win2k8 and using the SAP GUI 7.10 via a remote app deployment method, we often see users who when clicking on drop down dialogs loose focus and get the contents of the dropdown list overlayed on their last active window, e.g. Outlook, IE, etc...  our workaround to date has been to make sure they are using RDP 6.1 which seems to minimise the effect (but it still happens) and get them to click the SHOW ALL desktop button before going back into the remote app.
    We have also seen this problem with other remote apps, but less prevelant, presumably due to the different tcodes in SAP having more drop down lists than others.
    An ETA on this issue would be extremely useful, thanks for your time.
    EDIT: After re-reading my problem may be a bit different (although we do get the dialog behind a dialog issue occasionally), although this still relates to focus issues with remoteapps let me know if I should start another thread.

  • My iphone6 camera is rear , and focus dosnt work in it , although my front camera is working great

    My iphone6 camera is rear , and focus dosnt work in it , although my front camera is working great

    Hey there Aydarezania,
    It sounds like you are able to focus using the front camera, but the back one doesnt seem to. I would use these troubleshooting steps from the following article, named:
    Get help with the camera on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
    Force the app to close, then open the Camera app again.
    Restart your device, then open the Camera app again.
    Your photos are blurred or out of focus
    If your photos are blurred, out of focus, or have dark spots, try these steps:
    Make sure that the camera lens is clean. If you need to clean the lens, use a microfiber cloth. If you see dirt or debris inside the lens, take your device to an Apple Retail Store or Authorized Service Provider for more help.
    Make sure that there’s nothing blocking the camera lens. If you’re using a case, try removing it.
    With iPhone 6 Plus, a metallic case or magnetic lens could interfere with optical image stabilization. If you have a metallic case or magnetic lens attachment, try taking a picture without it. Then compare the quality.
    Adjust the focus by tapping on the person or object in the preview screen. You’ll see the screen pulse or briefly go in and out of focus as the camera adjusts. In photo mode, try to stay steady when adjusting the focus. If you move too far in any direction, the camera will automatically refocus to the center. In video mode, you can adjust the focus before you begin recording.
    If the color seems too bright, or you see double-exposures of moving objects, make sure that HDR is set to Auto or Off. Tap HDR at the top of the screen to choose a different setting.
    Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,
    Sterling

  • Problem while adding both Key And Focus Listeners to JTextField

    Hi!
    I have something peculiar while adding Key and Focus Listener to JTextField. Suppose i add just Key Listener then everything's fine and i could keep track of keys being pressed. But as soon as i add a Focus Listener to it with the code to select full text in focusGained() method, it starts reponding wrongly to arrow keys pressed and does not perform desired actions. For let arrow key it moves caret by one for the first time after that it does not resond to that unless caret is changed by using mouse. If right arrow key is pressed the it moves the caret to last position from wherever it is. For UP and DOWN it selects the full text(This should be done when it gets focus)
    public void focusGained(FocusEvent fe)
    setCaretPosition(0);
    moveCaretPosition(getDocument().getLength());
    Can someone help me out on this?
    thanks and regards,
    Amit.

    None of those things will cause your JFrame to resize itself. And this is probably a good thing, because your JFrame shouldn't change size once you have created it. Why not create your JPanel so that it has enough space for you to add the component later? Or why not just add the component to start with and then enable it or make it editable when you decide that's necessary?

  • Window Owners and Focus Losing

    Hi!
    I originally posted this message in the Swing forum. I haven't gotten any hits on it, yet, so if anybody can shed any light on the situation, I would very much appreciate it.
    There are 5 dukes up for grabs!
    Thanks,
    - Adam

    That's a tricky one, in part because focus goes to a
    specific component within a window hierarchy.
    You could create a common focus listener on your
    popup, to determine if any of its components
    loses focus to something that's not one of its
    components. However, that doesn't really work too
    well, because depending on how you've created it,
    none of its components may get focus in the first
    place.that also makes the code more compicated, less portable, and more difficult ot maintain, because I'd have to find someway to track which components are in that window, and they're not necessarily always the same.
    >
    You could also attach a mouse listener to the glass
    pane of the owning frame (assuming it's a frame), and
    respond to mouse clicks in that pane.that's not a bad idea for a small application, but unfortunately, it won't be practical in the application I'm working with on, because there's too much other stuff going on to start intercepting events in the glass pane.
    >
    I suspect that there's an easier way. You could
    probably find it by looking in the source code for
    JPopupMenu.Yeah, I considered that too. I only looked breifly, but I can't find any relevant code that is dealing with either window or focus events, and I'm not quite sure how it's displaying itself. I suppose the relevant code could be in the UI delegate, I haven't check there yet...

  • Nimbus focus painting and insets

    We are still having this problem - wanted to try again on the queue.
    We have a custom table cell editor component that uses a spinner for the editor component. With Nimbus look and feel, the focus is painted around the outside of the component. However in a table cell, this focus painting (and cooresponding insets) takes up too much space. Is there a way to turn off the focus paining (or control the insets) on Nimbus for this cell editor?

    Try this.
    JFormattedTextField f =
            ((JSpinner.DefaultEditor) spinner.getEditor()).getTextField();
    f.putClientProperty("Nimbus.Overrides",new UIDefaults());
    f.putClientProperty("Nimbus.Overrides.InheritDefaults",false);This will essentially result in a more basic painter for the painting of the spinner's text field. So no border is painted, nor any focus (though it will still be focusable). You'll still have the nimbus style buttons of the spinner.
    Alternatively you could try a "mini" or "small" spinner.
    spinner.putClientProperty("JComponent.sizeVariant","mini");
    spinner.updateUI();

  • Focus manager - transfer focus problem

    Hi,
    Have three main components in my application that handles the tab and shift tab orders through a focus manager
    The problem arises when I open a dialog window and have a bunch of TextFields and the focus manager is looking at my tabs. My Dialog components is nothing to do with my main components so I had to return true or false for my handleTab and handleShiftControlTab methods to tell me weather it's one of my main components. In other words, return ture if one of my main focused component and false otherwise
    In the processKeyEvent method, the code for transfer focus doesn't work.
    I'am trying to say if it's one of my main handle focus components, consume the key event because it was handle by the tab methods, otherwise the focus component should transfer focus to the next component
    The problem is focusedComponent.transferFocus() is not doing anything.
    What could be the problem?
    Thanks

    My thoughts go to the possibility of your editing a JPEG that JPEG decompression "block" artifacts, or maybe a pattern of noise in your image.
    I just tried selecting a subject using the new feature then doing a Refine Edge and didn't see a problem...

  • What is Framework order and blanket PO

    dear gurus,
    kindly focus on what is Framework order and blanket PO ?
    regards,
    snb

    Hi SNB,
    Framework order (FO) is a document type which is provided by the standerd SAP.
    It can be used for the consumable material ( Which is having low value & where making GR is not of worth like C category item.) & called as blanket PO. Here we need to mntion the validity period  & target value or quantity as a restriction as well as need to mention item category as a "b".
    Also it can be used for the procurement of extarnal services (Item category "D" ). Here we need to do the entry of services which have been performed & need to accept the same whereas in blanket PO, GR is not required.
    At the end i would tel u that Framework order is the document type which can be used as blanket Po  & procurement of services.
    Reward if useful.

  • Is it possible to adjust the photo angle and size in Snapshots theme

    Hi
    I'm new to aperture and am having a few frustrated-hair-pulling issues with the Snapshots theme. I was using iPhoto to create a Photobook of my son's first year and found it to be too limited for what I want to create. I came across Aperture and was wow'ed by the description saying I could rotate and resize photos, add text boxes etc. This was just what I was after so I downloaded the free trial to test it. I like the snapshots theme the best for the idea of it looking more "homemade" but seem to be unable to adjust the photo angle and size from the given templates. Also I find that the border in adding new photos (which I can adjust the size and rotation of) is without the custom shadow effect that the template ones have. Duplicating the template photo only gives one with the shadow effect but also of the same size with the same rotation that I can't do anything with! Rrrrghhhh
    I thought this would be a great way to customize the album I'm making for my little boy, and that it wouldn't be too hard! My mac skills are considerable, but I'm by no means an expert! Is this program too much for a non-pro-creative-housewife with a wish that may be solveable in iPhoto afterall?
    Or am I just missing something? Is there a way to do this or shall I just give up and choose another theme?
    Any recommendations are welcome! Please!!! My scalp is now officially sore!

    Here's the solution I used to solve the same problem. If you're not comfortable editing the source files, this might be more than you want to take on--but I've done it to several files with no ill effects. You can follow the instructions on this page and the referenced original post from (he includes a link on the page). Good luck! He's got some great tips on some of his other pages.

    A warning about editing the Master pages--it only edits them in that book--it doesn't update the theme. So if you go to create another book with those same layouts, you'll have to duplicate the book and replace all the images. An alternative would be to create a "clean" book with no photos in it and then just use that as a starting point each time.
