If the app is no longer in the store then you won't be able to redownload it. You don't have a copy of it in your computer's iTunes library or on your backup of your downloads/library so that you can sync it back to your phone ?

TS1398 After the recent update of iOS 7.0.6 my phone is having issues with wifi connectivity. It gets disconnected most of the time. It is very toublesome while watching videos, sending pics, chatting and so on. Please advise. Thank you.

As RG said, you cannot determine solely from the model number whether an iPhone is unlocked or not. In what country and from what dealer did you buy this iPhone?

What's happening with my 2ndGen AEX at night? Pings sometimes go over 1000ms!
My Airport Extreme is perfect all day but sometimes late at night my ping goes over 1000ms. Wired or Wifi is the same. There's no rhyme or reason as to when it happens either. Random times and random nights (sometimes several nights in a row, other times not for week or more). Resetting doesn't help, but If I go direct to the modem, pings are around 15-30ms... normal for me. It's been a problem for me for a while now, and I'm not sure if its the latest firmware update that did it. I first noticed it playing my Xbox 360 sometime last summer or fall. The ping times will suddenly (usually around midnight or 1am) be so high that I can't play any multiplayer games. I go to speedtest.net and my ping is anywhere from 500ms to 1118ms is the highest I've seen. If I reset the router, it is fine for a couple minutes and then right back to to the high pings. As I said, the modem is fine when I go direct, so something is causing the Airport Extreme to have trouble. It's not the XB360, cause it also happens with my XB1 and only at night. I play during the day, as well, and have no troubles.
I believe that there are certain programs that can cause this, like Vuze, but this only ever happens when everyone in the house is in bed, and both mine and my wife's laptops will be asleep. I do have a Mac Mini connected to another TV in the house, but the only thing it should be doing at that hour is its hourly Time Machine backup to a USB drive plugged directly into it. I do have a network drive attached to the AEX, but I only use that for manual backups for our laptops, neither of which is being done when this occurs. My wife and I also each have an iPad (the 2 and an Air) and an iPhone 5. Could they somehow be causing this? Maybe an automated iCloud backup occuring at night? Although, I use several devices on my network all day long without this kind of thing happening so I don't know why that would cause this kind of problem. Just to round out my collection, I have to older Airport Expresses as well to extend the network and are mostly used for the audio out.

Test after each of the following steps that you haven’t already tried:
Step 1

Still in safe mode, launch the usual set of applications that are running when you have the problem, including your login items, one at a time, testing after each one. Some applications may not work; skip them. You might be able to identify the cause of the problem this way.
Step 6
If sleep is still working after you’ve launched all the usual applications, reboot as usual (not in safe mode) and test again. If sleep still works, you’re done, at least for the moment.
If you still have the sleep issue after booting out of safe mode, post again.

Once you successfully add you iTunes library to iTunes Match, you go to Settings>iTunes & App Store on your iOS device and turn on iTunes Match. Your iTunes Match library will then appear on your iOS device.

It will also revert the font from my template style to helvetica. Annoying as heck! Any thoughts? Turning off smart quote substition in Mail elimates the error, but elimates the smart qoute, too. I'm stumped.

What's happening with my MacMini?

Recently at the start of my day I started noticing my Macmini was shut down which concerned me because I always would just put it to sleep rather than a full shutting down. I reviewed messages in Console to see what was happening and found that after putting it to sleep for the night it was waking up on it's own for periods of time, sometimes all night long, followed by a full shutting down. I called Apple Support and they suggested what I call "zapping the P-Ram". I did this and the following day I observed again in Console messages indicating there was activity after I had put my Mac to sleep. I called Apple Support again and we repeated zapping the P-Ram, after explaining that this occurrence had been happening for awhile he suggested I take a trip to my local Apple store. I did that yesterday and the tech I was presented with suggested that Mackeeper and Bitender on my Mac was probably causing this to happen and recommended erasing and reinstalling the OS. After getting my Mac home I hooked everything back up again and restored nothing from my backup drive. I then upgraded from apple online all that I needed to bring my Mac back up to current standards. This morning I checked Console just to check and found that 1hour and 5 minutes after I put my Mac to sleep It woke up again for 26 seconds on it's own. This may seem like a waste of time worrying about such a miniscule incident but I what I found reoccurring were these console messages. I used to experience this same thing with my 2005 Macmini before I replaced it with this new Macmini in April of this year. Can anyone help me correct this? Please advise. Thank you.

What's happening with BT Broadband Talk??

When I joined BT some years ago I was advised to use BT Broadband Talk, as this was a VOIP service the calls made via BT Broadband Talk were cheaper than made via a landline (at least that was what they told me when they sold this to me).
Recently I found out that the call rates for Broadband Talk calls and landline calls are the same, but also that some of my calling plan features do NOT apply to Broadband Talk calls!!
As I have been using only my Broadband Talk number to make calls, I was just paying for calling plans while they were not being applied on my calls. I don't know when BT all changed this, but it looks to me like they are phasing out the whole BT Broadband Talk service!
Can anyone let me know what is happening with Broadband Talk???
(I guess I better use skype anyway...)

That's indeed what I thought but when I was chatting with a BT support person, this was what she told me (copied from the chat log):
"Quatta: Can you send me the international calling rates to Netherlands, Spain, Belgium and Germany when calling from the main line vs when calling from the broadband talk line?
Junaid : the prices are same if you call from land line or bt talk broadband i will tell you the charges bare with me
Quatta: Okay thanks - yes please send me the rates
Junaid : Netherland-2.50, Spain-2.50, Belgium-2.50 and Germany-2.50 all the amount is 2.50 pence."
After this i search the bt site to see whether BT BB-Talk had cheaper internatonal rates listed (as i did not trust this chat-reply) but no where on the site you find seperate BT BB-Talk rates for international calls. This chat happened on dec-7, 2011 - that's why i started thinking that BT is making this voip service less attractive so that their existing customers drop out on it and they can terminate it (as they already stopped taking on / promoting BB-talk to new clients). So don't think the cheap calls advantage is there anymore. cheers Rob

You will need to either stay with Lightroom 5, or upgrade your operating system.

What is happening with FCP 7 now?

I've just been engaged to make a film in a remote isolated community. They want me to set up a 'film studio' for the community at the same time. Normally this would be a no-brainer for me. I'd arrive with an Apple Tower, several monitors, some decent speakers, and FCP Studio installed.
I'm wondering what is happening with FCP these days. All I've heard is negative rumours about FCP X being an amateur app (iMovie upgraded) and FCP7 being discontinued. I may not even be able to buy FCP Studio (with 7)?
I have a distinct disaffection for iMovie ... the underlying logic has always eluded me. I've been a faithful Final Cut user since the very first version, have cut scores of films with it.
I'd love to hear the 'latest' news about how Apple is handling this, or not.
I hate the idea of trying to set up a community studio with any of the alternatives.

By 'current interface' do you mean FCP X? I haven't had time to try it yet. I've never liked iMovie. I love the simplicity and 'logic' of FCP - once one has worked out the most efficient pipeline.
I find I can show someone how to edit in FCP in about 30 minutes. It took my son about ten. And then the learner is on his/her way with great ease. (I think it's a matter of having myself figured out over the years a very efficient 1,2,3 ... eschewing the 10 other ways to do every operation; I suspect it's the 10 different ways to do each operation that most people find confusing).
Fogo Island Newfoundland out in the North Atlantic is a particularly enlightened place, quite fascinating. Very film savvy. I'd want to set them up with something professional - they might easily turn out some decent filmmakers. Meaning 'professionals'.
If Apple was planning to upgrade FCP X to a professional app in the near future (I'm just quoting what I've heard rumoured) then I could see going that way. I have to confess that I also don't want to have to spend a month getting up to speed on FCP X before heading out for Fogo. And then looking incompetent when I discover I can't do something on it (that I take for granted in FCP 7).

Migration Planning: What will happen with clients when changing namespace?

We are planning to upgrade our EX2010 enviroment to EX2013.
Sadly our namespace in EX2010 is right now owa2.domain.com. The name owa2 is coming from last migration between ex2003 and ex2010. I'd like to remove this minor flaw if possible.
But what will happen with all the clients and mobile devices which are right now bound to owa2.domain.com? Is it possible to change the name back to owa.domain.com without manual interaction with the clients?

Based on my knowledge for services like pop,imap and active sync we need to have the manual interaction.Without manual intercation we cannot achieve this.
Same time we need to have the new name on the SAN certificate .
For owa users you can simply communicate the new url via email and then for internal outlook and external outlook connectivity we need to repair the profiles to force the autodiscover service to fetch up the new name.On my experience most of the times repair
will not help.So again your only hope would be reconfiguring the existing profiles.
Note : Most importantly before renaming the host A record on the external and internal dns all you need is to reduce the TTL value for the existing host A record on the name owa2.domain.com.So
that external and internal clients will not have the dns cache for a long period.
Anyhow we will wait for some expert inputs on this case.Because their ideas might be good and different than me.

That's probably the MobileMe or iCloud password.
Go to System Preferences > Mobile Me (or iCloud). If you're not logged-in, do so. If you are, log out and back in again.

What's happening with cold fusion?!

first, this very page is throwing js errors in both ie8 and firefox 24.0 , i can't reply to any posts
then, with all this flurry of security breaches on gov websites running cold fusion, do we have a comprehensive white paper showing how to plug all the security holes that were uncovered?

there are two things you need to do:
1. Keep your servers updated with the latest patch(es). If you are
on CF10, use the built-in automatic updater. If on CF8 or CF9, take a
