What was the problem?

About 6pm yesterday I lost internet connection.
tried resetting the home hub 2 and was getting orange light on broadband.
did this numerous times over 2 hours, rang the broadband update line and no faults reported.
@9pm gave in and rang the helpline!
tried various things, failing at each hurdle before they took a mobile number and said they would do a line test.
rang me back 10 minutes later - reset the hub and lo and behold - broadband!
Just interested as to what the problem could have been, if anyone knows?

Thats exactly the same problem i've been having for the past month,they found a fault on my phone line yesterday.sending an engineer this afternoon to sort it out,so fingers crossed i'll be a happy bunny this afternoon lol
