Your video card is underpowered for the task.
Go to Photoshop > Preferences > Performance and click on the tick mark next to the box labeled "Use Graphics Processor":

I get the following message when I open Photoshop: Photoshop detected graphics hardware that is not officially supported...which asks me to "uncheck the use Graphics Processor...but there is no Graphics Processor to check ?????? What do I need to do? I have ignored this in the past and Photoshop seems to work OK but still I wonder why this opens every time I start Photoshop. Thanks for considering my question.:>)

It was just today that an automatic update notice came through, and I installed the update that was offered. So I have to guess that version — 10.1.10 — is the latest version that's available to me. My OS is 10.6.8. Again (in case the complete message isn't appearing), I'm on an older Mac, specifically MacBook 2.1. Perhaps this is the problem, and I never should have updated a few years ago. If so, I wonder if there's any way I can go back to that earlier version that worked well for me, rather than the last few versions, which have not.

In that process I lost my LR4 catalogs I was able to redownload the program but the catalogs are not there and not all of those pictures are on my external hard drive because same said teen decided they were going to borrow my external hard drive without telling me and "made room" on it. Is there a way to recover my catalogs? Please tell me there is because I was in the middle of working on a session when I had to wipe my drive and I would REALLY like to not have to go back and reshoot it. Any help would be wonderful!
It depends on how you wiped your drive. Depending on how you did it, only the directory was erased and the data can be found with drive recovery software. Some are free, although there is a small charge for most of them (~$30). You can usually download a trial version that shows if it will work and you have to pay to be able to save the found files. Use Google to search for the software. Different programs work differently and can find different things.

I sent iTues to trash by mistake (trying to delete files from "yesterday"). I got the program back but have to "put back" songs one at a time. Is there a way to put back multiple songs using the "select all" command or anything else? Thanks for the help.
The prgram is in one location and the library (media + library files) are in another. Sending it all to the trash would take some pretty delibrate multiple actions and digging through multiple folders, so I don't know how this was managed unless there's something in Snow Leopard that's new. Occasionally I have moved a file to the trash in Finder that I didn't want to and I can use Finder's "undo" to undo the last move. With many files...?

From what I've read I thought 512 MB or vRAM would work with 3d. It used to anyhow. I get the pop up that says it's not officially supported for 3d, and has temporarily disabled 3d functionality.
I've tried setting the prefences under graphics processor settings to Basic, Normal, and Adavanced with no luck getting the 3d to work again. It was working fine before the last update to 13.1

I just find it weird that the card is on the approved list, and meets the requirments and used to work. But yeah this mac is a few years old at this point. I'm just hoping that someone at Adobe reads this and can shed some light. Not supported in other words would mean that the claimed features may not work as advertised on your hardware and the customer and tech support will not bother with you. Technically this means that they didn't test Photoshop during the programming if it works on your graphics hardware (video card) or they didn't bother debugging problems on it. To fix this problem, check what hardware is listed as supported on their site and get one.

I have Photoshop Lightroom 5 and have downloaded Camera Raw 8.7.1 &DNG converter successfully. I have a new Sony Alpha 7 11 model ILCE-A7M2 that is supported by LR5. I am still not able to see the RAW pictures. The message says preview unavailable for this file DSC-ARW. Whatelse I should be doing to see my pictures? Can someone help?
AnitaThe support for that camera was added in the very latest release of Lightroom, version 5.7.1. Having downloaded Camera Raw 8.7.1 will have no effect on Lightroom because Lightroom doesn't use the Camera Raw plug-in. You need to make sure you have updated Lightroom to the very latest release in order to have support for that camera.

Was able to download and install Premier but can't install Photoshop Elements - getting multiple error messages (pirated software, etc). Any ideas?

Not able to see the content of opened files (.jpg or .psd) in Photoshop CS6
I recently downloaded Adobe Design and Web Premium CS6. I am not able to see the content of any of the file I open (.psd or .jpg). I do see the file has been opened as the file name appears on the open file tabs, I also see the preview of the file in the Navigator Window and list of layers in the layers window. I am relatively new to this so might be missing on some option that needs to be turned on or something.
I am using Window 7 Professional, Service Pack 1, with 8GB RAM.
Any suggesstion/help is greatly appreciated.This is going to be the weak point:
Intel(R) HD Graphics card
While the Intel HD chip is fine for general computer work, it is weak for programs, like Photoshop and Adobe Premiere. The driver support is usually very bad, as well. If Lenovo does not have updated drivers, that work better, about the only choice that one has with a laptop is to turn OFF graphics accleration, and wait for a new driver. That will probably be very slow in coming.
