When I try to send a link to a page from Safari, I get a message saying that sending the message to the server failed. It places a copy in the outbox. All other email and safari functions work properly. Ipad 2 IOS 7.1
My Ipad2 works fine except when I try to email myself a link to a safari webpage. I get an error message saying that the message failed to connect to the server. It says that a copy of the message has been left in the outbox. I cannot get the message from the outbox. All other email and safari functions work as expected.
I have cleared data and cookies, powered down, and done a reset. Nothing seems to help.
Typing in additional text seems to get the job done. This seems to be a feature of the latest IOS update, I have never had the problem before the last update.
I use the box with the arrow just to the left of the URL block at the top of the page to send myself links to pages of interest. Adding the extra text seems like a pointless step, but it does work.

I've never seen this issue, and I handle many iPads, of all versions. WiFi issues are generally local to the WiFi router - they are not all of the same quality, range, immunity to interference, etc. You have distance, building construction, and the biggie - interference.
At home, I use Apple routers, and have no issues with any of my WiFi enabled devices, computers, mobile devices, etc - even the lowly PeeCees. I have locations where I have Juniper Networks, as well as Aruba, and a few Netgears - all of them work as they should.
The cheaper routers, Linksys, D-Link, Seimens home units, and many other no name devices have caused issues of various kinds, and even connectivity.
I have no idea what Starbucks uses, but I always have a good connection, and I go there nearly every morning and get some work done, as well as play.
You could try changing channels, 2.4 to 5 Gigs, changing locations of the router. I have had to do all of these at one time or another over the many years that I have been a Network Engineer.

I plugged my iPod into the computer and it says that my iPod is synced with another iTunes library, but it's not. So all my music and apps are gone. What can I do to remind the computer its the right iTunes library and get all my stuff back?
Same as you would if you bought a pc; copy everything from your old computer to your new one. Then you can just sync everything from the new computer, as you did with the old one.

We just installed iOS7.0.3 on my wife's iPhone 4 and her iPod. Now her FaceTime and Facebook use my apple id.
When we try to log in to either site on either of her devices with her apple id it tells us that we can't because that id is already in use.
How do we fix that?Thanks. That's the point. I'm not trying to set up a new account. When we try to go to either of those 2 sites on either of her devices, her Apple id comes up and you have to put in her password. After doing that, a message appears that says you can't log in because that id is already in use, but it is her id.
We use the same iMac but have different accounts. I want to keep everything seperated. -
Mac Quad is starting to freeze when I try to go to links on internet pages
My relatively new Quad( aren't they all ) is having some sort of internet problem where it will freeze randomly when I go to a link on a web page. If I go to yahoo it won't go to mail. Other sites it won't go to live chat. Ebay does the same. Sometimes it wont even go to the sight itself, or I'll have to back door it through google. It got so bad last Sunday I ended up spending seven and a half hours on the phone with Apple and Comcast ( my cable ISP ) and on the computer doing partial and then complete reboots only to have the problem corrected by switching the ethernet port and dumping some file, which after all that time I really don't remember what the file was or which of the two was the fix. When I finally got back into my mail I tried to type and found my keyboard stopped working. It was plugged into my Dell monitor so I switched to another usb cable and it worked. But.... then I switched back to the old cable and it also worked,(These are top quality cables). In the automotive biz this type of mystery was usually caused by an intermittent short where circuits do bizarre things. Are we thinking motherboard problem here ???

Mac OS X (10.4.4)In reference to the cable problem, could it have been the cable all along as it finally died two days later. Belkin says no way, but I'm wondering if going to a link or a different page would make the cable more prone to short out due to increased load or something. It is just too coincidental that the cable finally gave out just as I got the computer working correctly. This was a new Belkin Gold series cable and I replaced with the same. It hooks to my monitor and the keyboard does also. Can't be the monitor connections as replacing the cable solved the problem. The tech at Belkin refused to believe that one of their cables could even fail, much less cause the problem, so he wasn't much help!

I have 15,686 photos on iPhoto 11. As I've been uploading the latest photos in the last two days I've been getting a message stating that my start-up disk is nearly full. I had no idea there was a limit. Is there any way of increasing its capacity? I have been shooting in Raw of late and I know it takes up a lot of space but I have heard of other people who have over 20,000 photos on their computers, so what is going on here??
Two possibiilities here:
1. Your start up disk is nearly full
Or
2. You have minor damage to the iPhoto Library and it's giving you a bogus message.
But here's the thing: A full start up disk is a very serious issue and needs to be dealt with fast.
So, how big is your Hard Disk? How much free space on it?

After 7.0.6 upgrade Icloud email "Cannot Connect To Server". All other email works fine.
After upgrade to 7.0.6 both IPad and iPhone now will not send or receive Icloud email while at home. Get "Cannot connect to server " message. All other email accounts (google, verizon) work fine. Plus the "last backup" information unavailable as well as icloud storage information. Says unavailable, try again later. Also cannot view body of emails sent or received in the last 2 days. I am at work now and all works normally. If this is a wifi issue, I I do not understand why all other email accounts are sending receiving ok. It's only the Icloud server that seems to be the problem.

I need some help.... I Have the iPhone 4S and downloaded the new software (6.0) and everything seems great so far except when I try to open a link in safari from a different app (ie..messages, Facebook, ect..) it glitches and won't load. The blue loading bar will just jump back and forth and the page will not load properly if at all....
It sounds like you may have multiple problems, but none of them are likely to be caused by malware.
First, the internet-related issues may be related to adware or a network compromise. I tend to lean more towards the latter, based on your description of the problem. See:

If investigation shows that this is not a network-specific issue, then it's probably adware. See my Adware Removal Guide for help finding and removing it. Note that you mention AdBlock as if it should have prevented this, but it's important to understand that ad blockers do not protect you against adware in any way. Neither would any kind of anti-virus software, which often doesn't detect adware.
As for the other issues, it sounds like you've got some serious corruption. I would be inclined to say it sounds like a failing drive, except it sounds like you just got it replaced. How did you get all your files back after the new drive was installed?

I bought the Keynote app for my MacBook, but when I open the application and try to install it, I get an error message saying that the application will not work with my MacBook. What gives? And, can I please request a refund? ($19.99 = a week's groceries).

Reinstall Keynote by logging into the Mac App Store using download / install -

Reset Safari.
Click Safari in the menu bar.
From the drop down select "Reset Safari".
Click "Reset".
Empty Caches
Safari > Preference > Advanced
Checkmark the box for "Show Develop menu in menu bar".
Develop menu will appear in the Safari menu bar.
Click Develop and select "Empty Caches" from the dropdown.
Turn off Extensions if any, and launch Safari.
