I rented a movie on my iTunes and when it finished loading I went to watch it and the sound wouldnt work.. its silent! what should i do?

This just recently started to happen. Please if anyone has any ideas that would be much appreciated and the problem is my computer its almost brand new. And my computer is completely up to date.

I downloaded ios 7 on my iphone 4s and cant play itunes from my iphone to my speakers through airport utility. it shows im connected thro wifii. i can play the speakers wirelessly from itunes on my computer so i know its my phone since ios 7 downloaded. even the icons on the song that turn on the speakers are missing. what do i have to do to get it back? Ive deleted airport utility and reinstalled it. i shutdown my phone and the airport base and wifii and restarted everything. nothing seems to b helping.

I just encountered this problem for the first time and stumbled upon this forum to find a solution. I played around with it a bit and it seems that if you slide your finger from the bottom up, you will come upon that new screen that will allow you to do various functions with your phone (put it in airport mode, lock, etc.), you can select your Airport from this screen and play your music wirelessly from your phone; at least this was my experience. Just a guess, but if your wireless network is not appearing in Windows, it's probably a result of a Windows firewall setting.
An Apple AirPort Base Station just creates a wireless network, like any other. There is nothing different about it than any other wireless network, so it should be available to select from Windows. It has been a while since I've used XP but I am quite certain no additional drivers need to be installed for XP to communicate with a Mac's wireless hardware.
You might try asking in the Boot Camp discussions area.

I have a similar issue with my Home Sharing. Everything plays just fine on my Apple TV except when I try to play a movie using Home Sharing. If I choose the same show or movie from the Purchased section of iTunes it works just fine but nothing ever loads for me on Home Sharing.

I find it hard to believe that this information isn't clearly available somewhere, but it isn't and I don't think I've seen anyone here who is 100% sure. However, I believe you can have up to 10 associated devices, which include authorised computers (of which you can have up to 5), I suspect the Apple TV might become a temporary associated device while it's in use, but I'm not entirely sure myself.

Are you sure your iPod Classic is configured to sync podcasts to your device? You'll want to double check by taking a quick look at your iPod's Podcast configuration tab in iTunes.
To access this tab, plug your iPod in and click on it from under the Devices section in the left hand pane of iTunes when it appears to bring yourself to the iPod's Summary tab. Now locate the Podcasts tab and select it. Under this tab you can configure how and what podcasts are synced to your device. If you make any changes, be sure to click theApply button in the lower right hand corner.

Remove all apps from multitasking bar. Double click Home button then tap and hold an icon and tap on little x on every app. Then reset. Hold down Home and Power button until Apple logo appears.
