When trying to follow a link in a email, I get "404 NOT FOUND" this is a ligit address...any ideas?

When I click on a link received by email to complete registration and activate my membership to a Harley forum, I get "404 NOT FOUND" Not Found
The requested URL /register.php was not found on this server.
Any ideas what might account for my inability to reach this site? This sort of thing doesn't happen often. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you, Paul (debreeze)

I'm not sure why you believe that I'm running an outdated version of firefox but according to my files I'm running product version 3.6.12. In the support notification I received questioning the file version running on my computer, the link I had a problem with http://www.harleyhowto.com/forum/register.php\ was also included. When I clicked on the link I went directly to the site with no problem. Then I opened the original email containing the same link, clicked and went to 404 NOT FOUND ! I'm going back to the web site and go through the registration process again and keep my fingers crossed hopping it works when they send a new verification email . I will post the outcome, either pos. or neg and may be asking for further help. Thanks, debreeze

You can't use Safari to download iPad apps. Only use iTunes/App Store.

Put in a request for another verification e-mail to be sent to you.
Start here, change your country if necessary and go to manage your account.
Also check your Mail rules and filtering, the verification mail may be going to a junk folder or even being deleted altogether. You may also wish to contact your mail provider to see if their spam filters are removing the email before it gets to you.

When I try to open, I get 404 Not Found.

When I try to open Mozilla, I only get 404 NOT FOUND and in a seperate tab some advertising. What is wrong and how do I fix it. I uninstalled Mozilla and re-installed and I still get the same problem.

After updating to Firefox 3.6.9, when I click on a link in Outlook email, I get a message which says "General failure. The URL was: .... An error occurred in sending the command to the applicatio." and the link will not open. How can I fix this?

I updated Firefox yesterday to 3.6.9. When I receive a URL link in an email within Outlook, I cannot open the link in Firefox. As I said in the question, when I click on the link, a Microsoft Office Outlook error message appears which states that a General failure has occurred in sending the command to the application (which is Firefox). I am using Office 2007 This did not occur prior to the upgrade of Firefox.

Trying to track a package on FedEx website and get "Framework Not Found" error message

Either by clicking on the email from FedEx and launching Firefox or by opening the FedEx website and entering the tracking number, I get "Framework not found" error and the search stops. It worked with previous Firefox versions but not with the new 4.0.1 version. Any suggestions?

I tried to open a 2 year old movie (3.2GB) through iDVD today from an external drive and now I cannot get the color wheel to stop spinning. I tried restarting, it allows me to login and then gets to the background screen and spins again. Any ideas?

After admittedly only a quick read the one thing you don't say is how you are trying to make this move. Most people with moving library issues do it the wrong way. Plenty of web sites tell you how to do it the wrong way.
If the iTunes application is started before the drive with the library is fully mounted and awake iTunes will revert back to the internal drive.

If the site is down it should say something like "server not responding" shouldn't it, or if the ISP had the forsight and sense to set it up right it should redirect to another site or page somewhere that says, Sorry this site is down for whatever reason and when it might be back up. Access denied seems like a funny message to get.
Also ... one has to wonder why Arianna Huffington who presumably lives in CA is hosting the HP from New York?

When I click on a link on my email the page does not appear in the forefront in safari.... it gets "hidden" behind whatever page safari is displaying

I recently started having this problem after downloading Lion and some updates after that. Not sure what to do to fix it or if its not fixable on my end. Is anyone else having this problem?

Yes its the same and I already tried that, Thank you. the crazy thing is that the link opens up a window but i can't even select anything on it or make it active, its hidden and if I swipe to the next desktop I can see it. But i need to already have the mouse pointer over the close button or i would not even be able to close it. Very strange. ANYONE?

I have not changed/updated my mail client, Windows Live Mail, so I assume the problem is with the updated Firefox.

You have to use File Sharing with iTunes in order to send the file to your computer. This kb article does not mention the ePub format, but the process works exactly the same way, whether you export as Pages, Word, PDF or ePub files. You just need to save it to your computer from iTunes. Read this for the details.

1. Install Adobe Flash Player.
    http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
    Follow the prompts.   Quit Safari.
    Restart computer. Relaunch Safari.
2. Allow Plug-ins
    Safari > Preferences > Security
    Internet Plug-ins > "Allow plug-ins"
    Enable it.
    Press " Manage Website Settings" button for more options.
