When upgrade 2004.2B to 2007B,how can I upgrade the MS-sql2000? ....

we are about to upgrade our 2004.2B to 2007,and come to  the problem "how can we upgarde the ms-sql2000 to sql2005?"
we bought the sql2000 together whit the sap business one 7.1 suit (Mrcorsoft call it ISV), my question are:
1.can I upgrade to sql2005 for free?
2.If it's not for free, whether I buy the new database soft(sql2005)  or pay the upgrade charge ?
3.what sap will do?
thanks

Hi Wren,
You can check to see if SQL 2000 was sold via SAP when you sold SBO 2004 to your customer. Check the SAP Portal
If SQL was part of the sale and the customer has paid their annual maintenance on SQL then they should be able to upgrade their SQL to 2005.
If the customer did not buy their SQL from SAP, they will need to pay for SQL. I suggest that you find out from your VAR what the current prices are (before increase in Jan 2010) and buy the licenses from SAP, they are cheaper provided the customer only uses SBO on their SQL server.
Cheers
