Expense/revenue from consumption of consignment material (AKO)
This transaction is used in Inventory Management in the case of withdrawals from consignment stock or when consignment stock is transferred to own stock if the material is subject to standard price control and the consignment price differs from the standard price.
Expenditure/income from transfer posting (AUM)
This transaction is used for transfer postings from one material to another if the complete value of the issuing material cannot be posted to the value of the receiving material. This applies both to materials with standard price control and to materials with moving average price control. Price differences can arise for materials with moving average price if stock levels are negative and the stock value becomes unrealistic as a result of the posting. Transaction AUM can be used irrespective of whether the transfer posting involves a transfer between plants. The expenditure/income is added to the receiving material.
Agency business: income (AG1)
This transaction can be used in agency business for income deriving from commission (e.g. del credere commission). The account key is used in the calculation schemas for agency business to determine the associated revenue accounts.
Agency business: turnover (AG2)
This transaction can be used in agency business if turnover (business volume) postings are activated in Customizing for the payment types. The account key is specified in Customizing for the billing type.
Agency business: expense (AG3)
This transaction can be used in agency business for commission expenses. The account key is used in the calculation schemas for agency business to determine the associated expense accounts.

As it generally is with this sort of question there is no exact answer.
The only required update when working with an External Transaction is that getActiveUnitOfWork() is called instead of acquireUnitOfWork() other than that the semantics of the calls and when you use a UnitOfWork is still dependant on the requirements of your application. For instance I noticed that originally the findSomeObject method did not perform a transactional read (no UnitOfWork). Has the requirements for this method changed? If they have not then there is still no need to perform a transactional read, and the method would not need to change.
As for the requirement that new object be cached this is only required if you are not conforming the transactional queries and adds a slight performance boost for find by primary key queries. In order to use this however, objects must be assigned primary keys by the application before they are registered in the UnitOfWork.

Oracle 11.1.0.7.0 Issue with Streams when using NULL value in a key field

we have an issue in our replicated environment using Streams.
We have a replicated table using the following index:

When we apply a change on that table (either update or delete) we get errors at streams level and the transaction is not propagated.

If I force the set of primary keys to be only the NOT NULL fields, I can successfully apply the error, but since we may have them storing both NULL and NOT NULL values, this is not a solution.
I'm wondering why the DB on one hand converts the empty string in a NULL while inserting, but it looks the Apply process onStandby is not able to do the same when looking for the record before applying the transaction.

Ora 02290 when using qms_transaction_mgt and autonomous transactions

Hi all,
I'm using the qms procedures:
qms_transaction_mgt for openeing and closing transactions.
Somewhere in my procedure when the transaction is opened i call another procedure which contains a autonomous transaction.
The next time qms_transaction_mgt.close_transaction is called i get an ORA-02290: check constraint (HST65.QMS_NEED_TO_CLOSE_TRANSACTION) violated
When i debug the qms_transaction_mgt.close transaction the g_current_trans_id variable is empty, which indicates the transaction is allready closed.
When i remove the pragma autonomous_transaction statement and the commit statement from the procedure i call, the problem is resolved.
Version information:
Designer 9.0.2 with a with a Oracle 9i 9.2 database and Headstart 9i.
Does anybody know how i can resolve this or if this is a bug and how to fix it?

It is unfortunately a know restriction that the CDM RuleFrame component of both Headstart for Designer 6i and Headstart for Designer 9i doesn't work in combination with autonomous transactions.
The reason is that the RuleFrame administration relies on information stored in 1. pl/sql package variables and 2. database tables. Using autonomous transactions (that involve CDM RuleFramed DML) causes this information to dissynchronize.
A year ago I investigated the possibilities to make autonomous transactions possible with RuleFrame but unfortunately this is fundamental problem: RuleFrame wants to combine multiple DML-actions into one logical transaction (gards this with the "need_to_close_transaction" constraint), while autonomous transactions intend to to the opposite: commit a part of a transaction while the rest of the transaction still is posted/not committed.
There is one exception: if you call an atonomous procedure that does DML on a non-ruleframe-enabled table (no TAPI triggers that intend to open/close the transaction, no CAPI etc), everything functions.
Problem explanation:
====================
1. Outer transaction is opened (by front end or TAPI triggers of first DML)
2. DML takes place
3. Autonomous transaction-procedure is called
4. Auto-transaction again tries (and succeeds!) to open the transaction, it doesn't see that the transaction is opened (db table qms_transactions is empty for the autonomous transaction on query)
5. DML within auto-transaction is posted
6. Auto-transaction closes transaction
7. Auto-transaction is committed
8. Outer transaction thinks the transaction is already closed, because the auto-transaction cleaned out the package variables when it closed the transaction.
9. Commit of the outer transaction fails as the deferred check constraint need_to_close_transaction avoids this to happen (rollback takes place because of this violation).

Crash when using Dimensions version plug-in - key Failed to {0} file {1}

I've used "Versioning | Configure" to disable SVN support so that Dimensions is my only enabled extension. No matter what I have selected in the Application Navigator, I cannot get anything enabled on the 'Versioning' menu other than Download and Configure. If I download, I'm prompted to login (testing the connection works fine), and then the "Log Out" menu option is enabled, but no others.
I've got an application with one project that I've created and added to Dimensions via the Dimensions client. Attempting to download this project into JDeveloper using either the "Download" option from the versioning menu, or the right-click | download from the "Versioning Navigator" fails. If I do it from the Versioning menu, I get the 'Download' dialog and the OK button is enabled, but after entering a destination and clicking OK nothing happens (no error, dialog remains).
If I use the Versioning Navigator and right-click, I can select my Dimensions project, enter a destination, and click ok and a crash occurs. Details of the error are below:

Exception in transaction commit when using Web Service Atomic Transaction

I am following this tutorial from Oracle on how to use WS-AT

A brief description about my application, which is wrote in JDeveloper:
Two applications, one for web service and one for client.
The WS is backed by an stateless EJB, which use JPA entity to do operations on the Oracle XE DB. The EJB transaction is container-managed, and the Entity Manager is retrieved from the JTA Datasource by using @PersistenceContext
I put this on the EJB implementation class:
@WebService(...)
@TransactionAttribute(value = TransactionAttributeType.MANDATORY)
@Transactional(version = Transactional.Version.WSAT10,
value = Transactional.TransactionFlowType.MANDATORY)
On the client application, I use another EJB to call the WS. The proxy and all generated types are created properly by JDev. I put this on the @WebServiceReference point in the client EJB:

The client EJB is also annotated with:
@TransactionAttribute(value = TransactionAttributeType.REQUIRED)
Both applications are deployed successfully in the integrated weblogic server. But when I run the method in the client EJB that call the WS to do a persisting operation on the DB, the following exception is thrown:

which causes:
Exception occurred during commit of transaction Name=[EJB +_the client EJB's calling method_+
The weird thing is, if I call a method which does a simple System.out.println (no DB related operation) then no exception is thrown.
Furthermore, if I switch both WS EJB and client EJB to use bean managed transaction, the transaction is not propagated properly, as I see that UserTransaction in the WS EJB does not have the same status as UserTransaction in the Client EJB.
Hence I'm suspecting that there is some issue during step 4 described in the Oracle documentation:
"Server B receives the request for Application B, detects that the header contains a transaction coordination context and determines whether it has already registered as a participant in this transaction. If it has, that transaction is resumed and if not, a new transaction is started.
*Application B executes within the context of the imported transaction. All transactional resources with which the application interacts are enlisted with this imported transaction*."
This is all I can find. Please help me on how to resolve the exception.

Thanks for your help. The problem indeed is in the non-XA datasource I used for the EntityManager. I created datasource what uses XA Thin Oracle driver and everything works fine now, commit and rollback both work nicely.

So I have removed both batteries, and tried to run different clearing options that the manual outlines. Nothing is mentioned about the functon of the INPUT key or what to do with this error. The calculator had done numerous other functions without a problem, so I am wondering if there is some value stored that creates a long running calculation, or if there is indeed a glitch with the actual calculator that presents itself with these calculations.

Is there a way to control "push" page transitions when using up/down keys to navigate a PDF?

I have a multi-page PDF designed with push page transitions. When using the forward/back arrow keys or the interactive buttons I have designed on the page, the push navigation direction changes whether one is moving forward in the PDF or back. However, if I use the mouse scroll button or up/down arrow keys to navigate, the push navigation only animates from the same direction...and therefore makes it look as if the user is only moving "forward" in the book. Is there a way to control this effect more precisely?
I am creating the document with InDesign CC 2014, adding the page transitions within the file, and exporting to interactive PDF using the setting "Page Transitions: From Document".

I don't think the iPad has it in it to control another device. Unless there's an app for it to be a remote control, but I'd imagine that it woudl be very brand specific.
You can certainly experiment with the VGA or HDMI adapters, but I wouldn't put total faith in them unless you had the ability to experiment prior to your presentation. I'd definitely have a backup plan.

You can create a new Transaction Key in SPRO->Materials Management->Purchasing->Conditions->Define Price Determination Process->Define Transaction/Event Keys. Then assign this in to the Pricing Procedure (SPRO->Materials Management->Purchasing->Conditions->Define Price Determination Process->Define Calculation Schema). Now you can configure Account Determination using OBYC for the Transaction Key created by you.

Sy-tabix when using secondary key

Hi,
I have an internal table with records that contain a field with the line index of another table entry that they depend on.
I can process this table recursively, by passing the parent index inside and using a
LOOP AT ... USING KEY secondary_key WHERE index = iv_index.
Unfortunately the sy-tabix is afterwards not correct, it contains the position in the secondary key probably instead the position in the internal table.
Is there a way how I could find out the current table index, when using a secondary key to read a record?

Since installing LTR 5.4, which I've now upgraded to 5.6, I've encountered repeated slowness and malfunctions in operations, especially when using the Compare View function and the Tab key to open and close the right and left side panels. Such problems never arose during two years of using LTR-4 and nothing else has changed on my computer. I have a pretty simple system with only a few plug-ins, which are usually not in operation. I have 12GB of RAM in my Windows 7 PC. I could illustrate these problems with screen shots if you would tell me how to submit screen shots. Otherwise I will try to describe the problems in words.
The problem is clearly cumulative, growing worse as usage time passes. Compare View feature gradually slows down and eventually seems to choke as my work session proceeds. If I Exit LTR and re-enter and start all over, things will work normally for maybe 30 minutes, but then the Compare View feature begins to become very slow to respond. In a recent example with my screen full of thumbnails in Library mode I highlighted two images to compare. LTR started to open the Compare View screen by first having the top row of thumbnails disappear to be replaced by the "SELECT" and "CANDIDATE" words in their spaces (but no images), but Compare View never succeeded in gaining control of the screen. After some seconds the top row of thumbnails reasserted its position and the Compare View windows disappeared. But LTR kept trying to bring them back. Again the top row of thumbnails would go away, Select and candidate would reappear, try again, and give up. This went on for at least 2-3 minutes before I tried to choose File and Exit, but even that did not initially want to respond. It doesn't like to accept other commands when it's trying to open Compare View. Finally it allowed me to exit.
To experiment I created a new catalog of 1100 images. After 30-40 minutes, the Compare View function began to operate very slowly. With left and right side panels visible and two thumbnails highlighted, hitting Compare View can take half a minute before the two mid-size images open in their respective SELECT and CANDIDATE windows. When the side panels are open and two images are in the Select/Candidate spaces, hitting the Tab button to close the side panels produces a very delayed response--25-30 seconds to close them, a few more seconds to enlarge the two images to full size. To reverse the process (i.e., to recall the two side panels), hitting Tab would make the two sides of the screen go black for up to a minute, with no words visible. Eventually the info fields in the panels would open up.
I also created a new user account and imported a folder of 160 images. After half an hour Compare View began mis-placing data. (I have a screen shot to show this.) CANDIDATE appears on the left side of SELECT, whereas it should be on the right. The accompanying camera exposure data appears almost entirely to the left of the mid-screen dividing line. Although the Candidate and Select headings were transposed, the image exposure data was not, but the data for the image on the right was almost entirely to the left of the line dividing the screen in two.
Gurus in The Lightroom Forum have examined Task Manager data showing Processes running and Performance indicators and they see nothing wrong. I could also send screen shots of this data.
At this point, the only way I can process my images is to work 30-40 minutes and then shut down everything, exit, and re-start LTR. This is not normal. I hope you can find the cause, and then the solution. If you would like to see my screen shots, tell me how to submit them.

CANDIDATE appears on the left side of SELECT, whereas it should be on the right. The accompanying camera exposure data appears almost entirely to the left of the mid-screen dividing line. Although the Candidate and Select headings were transposed, the image exposure data was not, but the data for the image on the right was almost entirely to the left of the line dividing the screen in two.
Gurus in The Lightroom Forum have examined Task Manager data showing Processes running and Performance indicators and they see nothing wrong. I could also send screen shots of this data.
At this point, the only way I can process my images is to work 30-40 minutes and then shut down everything, exit, and re-start LTR. This is not normal. I hope you can find the cause, and then the solution. If you would like to see my screen shots, tell me how to submit them.

Hmm, that is very strange. I agree with MichelB that it's probably best just to get the PDF, but you can try going to your username>library>preferences and deleting:

Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 paths
To see the library, click the Go menu in the Finder and hold down the option key and it will appear below the little house for your user account. While you're in there it wouldn't be a bad idea to go to the Saved Application States folder and delete anything pertaining to PSE.
Repair permissions and see if that does it.

The problem is with the new operating system and sending photo via email when used in my iPad. From photo I selected 3 photos to send via email. I choose the upload key and choose to send by email. Typing text on the email is very slow.

Can you amend he system to allow emails to be sent from photo as previously.

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after the iPad shuts down, then press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds). Ignore the "Slide to power off"
