I just purchased acrobat XI Pro by subscription, already have InDesign. I never received an email with a serial number, and when I check my account I can find the number for InDesign, but not acrobat.

After you purchase the software you should get a serial number. There might be a slight delay between buying and receiving. If you have a problem you should contact Adobe Support directly thru chat or by phone...

You should be able to see the number in your system files/foldes by navigating to:

Purchases from the App Store do not include serial numbers. The App Store itself provides the licensing for the product. You will have to contact Apple to have them help you reinstall Lightroom through the App store (just because it is no longer for sale does not mean that you will not be able to download your past purchases).

If it was an upgrade version, it may be you are being asked for the qualifying product S/N and are entering the new S/N instead. That would cause a problem.

penteltack,You have purchased Creative Cloud which is active & has no billing issues.
CC mostly asks for serial number if:
1. There is no CC registered to the ID with which you had signed.
2. There are entries of Adobe in Host files of the computer.
3. The activation count has increased.

Cloud programs do not use serial numbers... you log in to your paid Cloud account to download & install & activate... you MAY need to log out of the Cloud and restart your computer and log back
in to the Cloud for things to work
