Whenever I try to restore my iPod Touch, it starts to download a software update, even after I have downloaded the software update several times before. How do I restore my iPod without having to download the software update again and again?
It's sort of like a "catch 22"; it seems like my iPod won't restore because the software update won't install, but the software update won't install because my iPod won't restore.
Maybe:
Restore loop (being prompted to restore again after a restore successfully completes)

- Next try placing in DFU mode and then restoring.

Place the iPod in recovery mode after the firmware download is complete and then restore using the instructions in the article. Sometimes recovery mode timeouts and returns to disabled before the firmware download is complete.
- Then try on another computer

Out of the blue, all of my purchased ringtones and music aren't displayed anymore on my iPhone.
I went to iTunes to see if they were stored there, but the downloads folder also appears to be empty. If I try to select a ringtone I've downloaded before, a popup appears saying that I've already purchased that item and asking if I want to cancel or buy. If I click on buy, then I pay for the item again even if I already have it! The only place I can still see my purchased items is in the iTunes application on my computer, but even though I've already selected sync, the ringtones and songs still won't appear on my iPhone.
What happeneded and how can I get them back without having to pay for them all over again?
Thank you!I'm having the same problem on an iphone 4s running iOS8; when i updated to iOS8, all my ringtones went missing, and when i got a £50 gift card for christmas (2014), I purchased some songs from the iTunes store on my iPhone. i downloaded songs from paramore, panic! at the disco, coldplay, and imagine dragons, over wi-fi, and they went into my iphone music library; but when i re-opened the music app a few days later, in a place where i had no wi-fi, except for my 3G phone signal, some cloud icons appeared next to my newly purchased songs, telling me to re-download them from the cloud, when i haven't even deleted them. this has happened twice now, and i had to use up some of my 5GB data allowance to redownload them from the cloud. This is annoying and i need to fix this issue ASAP.

When I export my image and open in Photoshop CS5, none of the developing I have just done in LR4

When I returned from holiday there were hundreds of messages waiting for me, but Firefox would only open the first few. Some that I tried to open just showed a balnk page, others showed a page of hundreds of lines of letters & digits. Every time that I open Firefox I receive the message that the IN-box is full.
I appear to be able to send messages, but not receive them.
I have spoken to Virgin Media who say that all messages can be accessed via another server(?) - e.g. Outlook Express, so it must be a Firefox problem!Firefox doesn't do emails.

Trying to Install Itunes to a new Desktop Computer so I can Sync My Library back in. It goes into a Loop when I Enter Run. I have added itunes.com to Safe websites and that did n't work now I havw Turnedd OFF all Pop-up Blockers and it still will not work! I own an iPad 2 & an iPhone 4S so I need to get my iTunes back!!

I have several email accounts that come to my mac. When junk appears I hit the junk button. Does it take awhile to train the junk or is there a way to set up mail so that it automatically goes to junk and does not appear at all in my inbox?
It's so time consuming to get rid of this stuff.

You can setup rules if there's any constancy, like I find that 99.999% of mail from yahoo is junk, so I have a Rule setup to just get rid of it permanently, I never see them at all...
But you could have it be If Subject contains Ciagra, Perform the following functions, Mark as Junk... or whatever. -
There are several sites that provide popups that I want to see. Firefox had not been blocking them previously. Then today it did. I went to Options and listed these sites as exceptions. It still blocked them. I went to options and unchecked Block Popup Windows. It still blocked them. I uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled a new copy. It still blocks them. What do I do now?
BTW, this does not occur when I access the same sites with Internet Explorer.I have the same issue. I am using windows 7 ultimate and have it on a laptop which has no issues. It is only one pop up i want to come up and it blocks it. I am using zone alarm as well, and I turn it off and it makes no difference. IE works and I HATE Microsoft. I wish Mozilla would come up with a fix.

I updated ipad 4.3 to io7 but now when I go to set up it keeps asking me to restore - I have done this from itunes several times but it still gets stuck at this point in set up - help!
All media and apps should be in iTunes on the computer. Simply select the content desired to sync to the device and sync it.
FYI, backups have never included media or apps.

Recently got a new computer and downloaded iTunes. All of my music has downloaded from the cloud witht the exception of one song. I have tried transferring from my phone, but it won't work. How do I get it back without having to download again?

Whenever I try to sync my iPod Touch 5th gen with iTunes I get an error message saying "The iPod "*****" could not be synced because the sync session failed to start". Is there any way I can fix this?
B-rock, thanks for posting the above. I actually have the same issue, running Windows XP and I don't have that backup location, \Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\. When I go to Documents and Settings\(username)\ there's a AppData folder followed by:\LocalLow\DataMngr\ .
I have the latest update, 5.0.1 and I have the iPod Touch 3rd gen.
I have tried removing itunes and all that is associated with it then reinstalling and keep getting the same message. I've reset my ipod thinking that would help but still, no backup.
In iTunes, Edit, Preference, Device there are no backups.
What am I doing wrong, can you help?

Whenever I try to sync my ipod touch, it doesn't work. The computer seems to get hung during the back up stage. It says it is backing up the ipod but nothing happens, for hours. I eventually have to interrupt it and give up.
I have the latest itunes.
I tried resetting sync history.

This doesn't seem to make sense for my situation. I don't sync anything between outlook and my ipod touch.
I have no other USB devices connected to my computer.
I have no other Windows users on my computer - only me and I am the administrator. However on my diagnostic, it said this user is not the administrator. Weird.
So I have tried to follow that you referred me to, but still I haven't got it working yet. Do you have any further suggestions?
