Where I should define contants

Hi,
I'm trying to figure out the best place to store global constants (around 1000 constants...) that are used by our tester. This includes constants used by:
1- our customStep types
2- our sequences
3- the customer sequences
4- ...
My first idea was to add constants to the StationGlobals context, but it is difficult to distribute this file (because the user can have his own file) and I don't think it is the right place to put these constants.
Then I tried to put these constants in my TypePalette file, but it's very difficult to specify, in a statement step expression, the corresponding path to access(or get) constants.
What I would like to do is to add a new context like the StationsGlobals context, or the fileGlobals context.
This context should be load at runtime by TestStand and should be accessible from custom step and sequence.
It is possible?
Example:
In a statement step expression I want to use the constants as the following:
Locals.aValue = MyContext.MyConstant1
I need a solution that allow us
1- to access the constants using a very short 'path' (in this example only: 'myContext.')
2- to access the constants using a path that is always the same depending where we are getting or accessing the contants.

I understand your ideas, but I'm not sure it completely solve my problem.
Example1:
Suppose one of my custommer want to define new "custom step type". When he will create his step, he needs to use GlobalsStations constants. In this case, no sequence are executed and the constants will not be defined in its GlobalStations.
Example2:
Suppose one of my customer want to create or develop a new sequence file using my custom step type. During the developpement of the new sequence, the user should be able to see the constants. He never run a sequence...
With your solution I understand that the constants will be defined at run time and in both cases, the custom step type and the sequence will work. But in both examples, the d
evelopper (of test) needs to execute a sequence before starting development of his sequence. I think this sequence should be loaded automatically when loading TestStand in memory.
1- So, do you think I can modify TestStand to execute a sequence, as you mentionned, but automatically when loading TestStand.
Example of solution: Adding a file in the TestStand directory that should be loaded at execution of TS. In this file, there are standart TS callbacks as OnOpenningTestStand, OnClosingTestStand, OnOpenningSequence, OnClosingSequence, ...
2- And does the distribution tool of TestStand can distribute this kind of features...

Hi,
I found out the default movement type has been predefined to 261 (GI for Order, in which it doesn't post to Cost Center). I guess the standard system has a valid reason to set it as 261 instead of 201 (GI for cost center).
As far as I understand, the Process order will accumulate all the costs (direct cost - material, labour and machine hour and also indirect cost) during the confirmation (material is backflushed and fnished goods is auto-GR). And at the end of the period, this process order will be settled its variance if there is (between the total cost credited - based on standard cost of the finished goods and actual total accumulated costs debited).
So, my question is, by right should there be any CO posting being made to Cost Center for material consumption in the above process flow as I checked in the standard system, the material movement for raw material and finished goods have no Cost Center posting at all?

this may be old news to some people, but I just realized we can have the desired benefits I originally listed (encapsulation, reuse, maintainability, security) TODAY by using pipelined functions and using the table() function in Apex report region queries.
So the report query basically becomes, for example (if get_employees is a pipelined function)
select * from table(my_package.get_employees(:p1_deptno))
The only downside compared to a (weakly typed) sys_refcursor is that you have to define the type you are returning in your package spec (or as an SQL type). So it's a bit more coding, but it's still worth it for the other benefits it provides.
I like Apex even better now! :-)

I've resolved this question.
    Firstly, run OPJH - Define Order Types, we should assign settlement profile for the order type.
    Secondly, Run OKO7-Maintain Settlement Profile, find and mailtain the settlement profile. In 'Valid Receivers' we should set the field 'Order' = 1-(Settlement Optional).
    Thirdly, run CO07 - Create Order without material. We can find account assignment catetory 'ORD' in maintaining Settlement rule.

Hi Samson,
U can create a new material type using the tcode OMS2 and then copy the material type which u need to modify and then define the name of the new material type and make the required changes which u want for that material type and save it.

EndNote X2 isn't where it should be

I'm trying to insert a bibliography and cannot locate EndNote. It's not under the >insert tab where it should be. iWork '09 was purchased along with my iMac last month, so it should have been installed from the get go. I have looked over the tutorials and can't seem to find a solution to this. If I were to uninstall iWork and re-install it, would all my pages documents be erased in the process? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No you created documents will not be destroyed if you delete iWork.
You haven't answered if you have Endnote installed on your new iMac!
In the Pages User Guide endnote is defined like this:

If you want to manage an item by serial number, you should define it in Item master Data -> General tab -> Serial and Batch Numbers->Manage Item by. You could choose 'Serial Numbers' or 'Batch'. After that, another field 'Management Methodwill' be available. You could choose 'On release only' or 'On every transaction'.
If you choose 'On every transaction', on every transaction which will receive goods (for example, GRPO) before adding, the 'Serial Number - setup' window will pop up. Or you can open this window by putting cursor on Quantity field and use Ctrl + Tab key. Under this window, you could create Serial Numbers.
And there is a button named 'Automatic Creation'. Using it, you could create serial numbers automaticlly.
Before adding documents which will issue goods, the serial number selection window will pop up.
If you choose 'On release only', when you receive goods, the serial number setup window will not pop up. After receive them, you can finish the creation of serian number.
Inventory -> Item Management -> Serial Number -> Serial Number Management.
If you want to create Serial number for new received goods, choose 'Complete' in Operation. In this function, you also could automaticlly create Serial Numbers.
If you want to update Update existing serial numbers, please choose 'Update' in Operation.

I need to create a report where stock should be calculated after every movement (after every document)
initial stock is 500
                quantity     on going stock
Doc 1         +100               600                          = 500 + 100
Doc 2         - 200               400                          = 500 + 100 - 200
The non cumulative KF doesnt help in this case. What would you recommend to use?

create an DSO having time stamp as part of key and two key figures outgoing and incoming. This should provide you all the movement history.

I just upgraded to 7.0.3 on my iphone 5 and now it won't let me make any calls and where it should say sprint in the top left corner it says invalid sim?

ITunes can't locate some files that are right where they should be

I'm using iTunes 12 for Windows. I keep a huge iTunes library at home on a mapped NAS share and the same library at work on a local drive. Every week on Monday I sync my entire iTunes folder from home to an external drive and then bring that external drive to work and sync it to my local drive there. (Note: This is a one way sync; I never sync in the other direction.) This system has worked flawlessly for six years.
Within the last six weeks, I've started to get error messages on my work system saying that many (>1600) media files of various types cannot be located. I assumed corruption was the issue so I deleted my entire 500GB iTunes folder and re-copied everything back over. Not just the media files. Everything. The problem persists and I cannot figure out why.
I have confirmed that iTunes on the work computer is referencing the correct iTunes library file. I have confirmed that iTunes is pointing to the correct iTunes folder. I have confirmed that the "missing" iTunes files are right where they should be. (I have always had iTunes set to move imported media into the iTunes folder so there is no stray media floating around on either system. And I have iTunes set to organize the media.)
It is worth noting that I started seeing this around the time when I upgraded to iTunes 12. When I upgraded to iTunes 12 I had to change the path to my home library from "\\<NAS>\iTunes\iTunes Music" to "M:\iTunes\iTunes Music" due to a bug in iTunes that created iPhone syncing issues if the iTunes library is on a network drive. But I can't figure out why this would matter. The path on the work computer is correct and all media files are there.
Ideas? I just don't understand how deleting everything and starting over doesn't solve the issue since there is NO issue at home.

I totally botched the repair process, including my library and media collection, four different times. If not for the fact that I had a complete, up-to-date copy of my library and all media files I would be completely scr3wed right now. I'm going to outline the mistakes I made for the benefit of those who might reference this thread in the future.
A big part of my struggle was the underlying assumptions I was making about how the iTunes database is maintained and tracked. It is not the same as the digital asset managers I use for work—Lightroom, for example. I really had to quit thinking for myself and pay attention to what tt2 wrote about the way the iTunes db works in the link he provides earlier in this thread about making split libraries portable.
The biggest mistake I made is failing to understand that after you move the iTunes library files (but not the media files) to a new iTunes drive or directory outside of the existing iTunes folder and then shift-click to open that relocated library in iTunes you have to set the iTunes Media folder location (in preferences>advanced) to the empty iTunes Media folder in the NEW iTunes folder. You do NOT set it (or leave it) pointed to the old iTunes Music/Media folder where your files [may] actually reside before consolidation. This mistake can make a bad situation much worse.
Finally, I did not have a split library in the sense that my media files were outside of my iTunes Media folder. Because of this, when I incorrectly pointed the new iTunes library to the old iTunes Media folder and then consolidated I created 9,936 duplicate files. I had a complete back up which made eliminating the duplicate files a simple process. Without the backup I would have been in trouble.
So...to fix my problem I followed tt2's instructions and did this:
Backed up my entire M:\iTunes folder including libraries and media files. If everything goes well, this backup will not be touched.
Created a new A:\iTunes folder plus an empty A:\iTunes\iTunes Media folder.
Moved everything from M:\iTunes to A:\iTunes EXCEPT for the iTunes Music* folder. (*It was the new iTunes 9 and later hierarchy but with the old name.)
Shift-Clicked to open iTunes and selected the iTunes library inside A:\iTunes.
Once iTunes was open I went to Edit>Preferences>Advanced and made the empty A:\iTunes\iTunes Media the location of my media.
Went to File>Library>Organize Library and choose "consolidate". After hours of file copying, my issue was resolved. A:\iTunes is portable.
Confirmed that the new A:\iTunes library correctly links to all media in the A:\iTunes\iTunes Media folder and then deleted the M:\iTunes directory with the old M:\iTunes\iTunes Music folder inside.
NOTE: It bears repeating that the problem solved was that I could not move my old M:\iTunes folder to a different workstation w/o breaking some of the links. However all the links worked fine in the M:\iTunes location. If this were not the case then this solution will not resolve anything.

I have completed the tutorial Adobe LR5 Classroom in a Book. I have a MacBook Pro. Every photo that I import from either my hard drive or the tutorial has red where white should be. What in the world am I doing?

All of my photos that are in my tutorial and the ones that I have imported from my hard drive have red on them where white should be. I see this immediately when switching from Library to Develop before I do anything to the photo except import it. I would appreciate any tips!

You are seeing red because that is the color of the clipping indicator. It is indicating that the whites are being clipped. You can turn off the clipping indicator by clicking on the little square in the upper right-hand corner of the histogram. Or you can adjust your highlights, whites and exposure until the red disappears. If you see blue on your photos that is indicating that the shadows are being clipped, and that is controlled by the little square in the upper left-hand corner of the histogram.
As a side note, you can activate or deactivate both clipping indicators by simply pressing the J key while in the develop module.

Since yesterday, clicking to read my email gets a blank window, not the email. Same w/ windows where data should be entered (like with online banking). Help!

Since yesterday, when I click to read my email I get a blank window instead of the usual window with the email itself. The same is happening with windows where data should be entered, like those virtual keyboards for online banking login, or windows where you can add records (like daily electricity and gas consumption). In all these situations, a window should pop-up and pop-up it does - but always blank.
I already unistalled/reinstalled Firefox and reset it "to its default state".

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache.

To clear cache and cookies do the following:
#Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
#Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
#Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
#From the details list, check ''Cache'' and ''Cookies'' and uncheck everything else.
#Now click the ''Clear now'' button.
