Where is Adobe?

I, amonst others have unanswered questions in this forum. It would be nice if there was more active support here from Adobe.

Hi there,
Sorry if things have been quiet but there is no longer a Configurator developer team to answer any queries. It was an Adobe Labs project that is now finished. We took the diificult decision to stop development of Configurator after version 4 because it would requirte a complete rewrite of the app in order to support HTML5 panels. We are looking at ways of using existing HMTL5 creation tools like Adobe Edge products to help create panels in the future. We might be able to accelerate this work if we can see lots of use of Configurator panels and the best way you can do that is to submit your panels (free or paid) to Adobe Exchange. You can create an account for free here:
http://adobeexchange.com/producer
Remember you can also sell panels by setting up an account with our payment vendor FastSpring, there is a link in the Account page on Adobe Exchange.
I hope that helps.

  • Where is Adobe Muse in my applications folder?

Where is Adobe Muse in my applications folder? It shows as installed in my Cloud app on the desktop, but not in my Application folder. List by Date shows nothing there. Is it under another name possibly? The Uninstaller found it...somewhere. I uninstalled and downloaded it again but don't see it in the Application folder. I would like to use Muse, please.

Re-install it from the System Restore disks that came with your computer. Select to 'Install Bundled Applications only'

  • Running CS6 and keep getting pop-up asking "Where is Adobe Photoshop?"

I'm currently running CS6 on Mac OS 10.7.4 through a subscription. Previously I was using CS5.5. Before installing CS6 I ran the Adobe uninstaller that came with CS5.5 to remove it. Now, while using CS6 apps I often get a pop-up window come up asking me "Where is Adobe Photoshop?" This is also happening with Illustrator and InDesign. It may happen with all of them, but as of yet I haven't seen it with any others (95% of the time I'm in one of those 3 apps).
The pop-up window shows the question at the top, and then displays a list of all the applications on my computer below it. Each time it comes up I select the right app and hit OK. Sometimes it seems satisfied by my resposne, but sometimes it'll come up again specifically asking for the CS5.5 version a well. To this question I once again select the CS6 version as the CS5.5 version is no longer installed. This also seems to satisfy it for the time being, but at some point in the future this sequence will start up all over again (maybe after every launch of the app?)
Can someone please give me some pointers on how to get rid of this issue? Next time it comes up I'll take some screen shots and post them here.
    Thanks

You will be able to open the application natively from Applications folder , however you would be facing the issue when opening the file directly by double-clicking on them.
If my presumption is right , then it is the file association issue . You can Ctrl+Click on any file say INDD , PSD etc and then Go to "Get Info"
Change the "Open with " to the application you want to open it with , Click on "Change All" button just underneath it. and then check

    Hi Joe,
I, too, am looking to get a copy of Animate Version 1.5, but have been unable to find it.  All I see under the title, "In this version" is a list of features, system requirements, and languages... no popups or options of any kind to select Animate 1.5.  Am I missing something?

Where is Adobe support for non-working software??
    Thanks,
    Jerry

    Bill,
    Thank you for your reply!
You may have guessed I am a bit  exassperated. (See this discussion from yesterday.) (Re: How do I get past the Error: 16 problem?
I am trying to move Adobe Acrobat IX, Photoshop CS6, Photoshop CC and Bridge to a new computer (Mac Pro (late2013), Mavericks 10.9.3) from an older Mac Pro using the same OSX.
I keep getting the error 16 message whether I try to open Acrobat or Photoshop (I have a paid for DVD of CS6). I have uninstalled and re-installed. I have reset permissions on 2 folders ion the system Library. I have either deactivated or signed out of ALL the Adobe products on my old computer. I signed in as 'Root' and tried to open the software. I have re-downloaded all the products except CS6 which I own. I have restarted the computer. I have repair the drive using Disk Utility and Disc Warrior. In short I have tried everything I can think of and that which has been suggested my others on this Forum.
    Thanks again,
    Jerry

Excellent question. I was gonna tell you "go to https://creative.adobe.com/fr/products/category/audiovideo and download the cs6 version" but it's not there.
Good news is, you might still find it here : http://www.adobe.com/downloads/other-downloads.html but (i think) it's hidden in the Production Suite CS6 download (i let you give it a try to the 5GB dl… please come back here to confirm it's included)

Hi king, go to Tools and open manage add ons and look for Shockwave Flash Object...ActiveX Control....Flash10d.ocx and make sure it is enabled. I think in IE8, you have "all add ons" and "currently loaded" etc. check all sections.
Look in Programs and Features for the listing of Flash Player 10 ActiveX

From the release notes: "This release includes support for the Adobe Flash 10.1 Beta plugin. Note that the plugin is a standalone app that will be available in App Catalog."
And from what I've read, the app is something Adobe is doing and its going to be a bit before its ready.

  • Where is Adobe PDF Toolbar in Firefox 12?

I'm running Adobe Acrobat Pro V9.5.1. Firefox is V12. I'm a recent convert to Firefox.
There is NO Adobe PDF Toolbar available from the Firebox toolbar menu. However, there IS a plugin that is enabled: Adobe Acrobat 9.5.1.283.
I went into the installation application for Acrobat and Firefox was nowhere to be found among the Acrobat PDFoptions where you can choose "one-click creation of an Adobe PDF from popular applications". Among the selections were MS Office, MS Visio, MS Publisher, MS Internet Explorer, Lotus Notes, etc. NO Firefox.
My Acrobat is up to date.
The Adobe PDF Toolbar has always been available to me on Internet Explorer - for years now!
Does this mean there is no toolbar availabe for Acrobat Pro? I can do the workarounds others have suggested, but the toolbar is faster and offers more (at least in IE).
Does anyone have any up to date answers?

    Hey guys, finally solved this!
Using:  Firefox version 17.0.1 and Adobe Acrobat X Pro (version 10.1.4)
I was looking for the Convert to PDF toolbar similar to IE and it wasn't visible in
Firefox.  Here are the steps to make it visible:
    a. First in Firefox make sure to enable the Adobe Acrobat Extension:
Tools ==> Add Ons  ==> Extensions ==> Adobe Acrobat - Create PDF 1.2  ==> Enable
    b. Add the Converter into the Firefox Toolbar:
View ==> Toolbars  ==> Customize  ==> Drag the Convert icon to the Adobe Toolbar
There it is.  The Convert To PDF now appears in the Firefox toolbar:  (see graphic below):

  • Where has Adobe HIDDEN the Camera RAW 8.6 update (again!)?

Starting with the 8.5 release, my CS6 version of Camera RAW no longer updates automatically. Nor can I find it anywhere in the update download section of Adobe's website. I just happened to find an obscure link to the 8.5 update after doing a ton of searches last June.
Now, the same problem exists with Camera RAW 8.6! I can get the DNG converter but it does not include Camera RAW 8.6. If I check for updates using Bridge or Photoshop, I'm told everything is up to date.
Please give me a SPECIFIC URL where I can download Camera Raw 8.6 for the Mac OS.

1.— I mentioned in my original note that Help >> Check for Updates says everything is up to date on my system in both Bridge and Photoshop.
2.— Also, I mentioned that I grabbed the DNG update today. I know the webpage says it contains Camera Raw, but it doesn't. If I load a RAW image into CR, CR says it's at version 8.5.
3.—There were many other users who had this problem with 8.5, too. I beginning to think Adobe doesn't really care for users who haven't joined the CC bandwagon.
1.— That just means your install is messed up.  It works on any properly maintained system I've tried so far.  Is Photoshop updated to CS6 13.0.6?
2.— After downloading, did you decompress the download and mounted the .dmg file on your desktop AND ACTUALLY installed the new ACR plug-in?  It DOES NOT magically get installed, you know.
3.— You are wrong.  Adobe doesn't care much about any of their customers, whether subscribed to the Cash Cow or not.
4.— You are not addressing Adobe in these user forums, so drop that attitude.  Your troubles are caused by user error and inexperience.

  • Where is Adobe LiveCycle?

This morning I turned on my computer to discover that AdobeLiveCycle has been replaced with FromsCentral.
When I try to import froms I have created with AdobeLive Cycle I get an error message that say I cant import the form because it is an XFA file, but they are PDFs.
    Where did LiveCYCLE go?
How can I work with the forms I created in LiveCycle, so I do not have to recreate 8 years worth of forms?

LiveCycle Designer doesn't come with Acrobat XI.

  • WHERE IS ADOBE INCOPY????

I am trying to download inCopy as a trial before purchasing. I click the Download Now button to downoad Adobe Download Assistant. I install ADA on my desktop. When it opens, I login. THEN WHAT? Nothing happens. No downloads. I search through all of the available downloads for InCopy. THERE IS NO INCOPY listed. I've read on the forums where people are having the same problem and you are shuttling them to generic troubleshooting. Why don't you just list InCopy in the available downloads and make this easy on everyone?

I just tried it, works fine.
After you install the Download Assistant (you only need to do this once for all the Adobe trial downloads), you go back to the InCopy trial page and click the yellow Download button.
The Download Assistant opens and prompts you to log in w/your Adobe ID.  Did you get that prompt? Did you log in okay?
After I logged in, the next thing I got was a "Save As" dialog box asking where I wanted to save the InCopy download.
    Not happening for you?

  • Where is Adobe Reader for Win7 64bit

I installed Adobe Reader XI in my system with Win7 64 bit,and it won't work because is a 32bit. I need to know where can I get the 64 bit. Thank you.

I was looking for the same thing. I'm running Win 7 64 bit OS but I'm using firefox 32 bit because most of the plugings I used are not 64 bit. One I need to find is the 64 bit win 7 adobe reader and flash plugin if you have it.

  • Where is Adobe's Flash Player Update reminder hiding?

within a flash click the opposite mouse button
and you may change some Adobe flash settings
like allowing camera and microphone access.
but once you've done that Adobe dumps
a kind of version checker on your system.
you'll see that after the next boot, when a big
standalone window with 'An update to your Adobe
Flash Player is available" mid screen occurs subject
you player is not the latest.
where is this hecking cookie or whatever stored - can't find it
in the registry nor within Docs & Settings or elsewhere.
in my opinion a good role model for all spywarer and really
disgraceful for such a big company.

    @jscher2000
    1
disable the Adobe auto-update in the control-panel thus
"falling behind" the latest version number on purpose.
    2
wait until Adobe comes up with a new version and access any
    flash site
    3
click the opposite mouse button where you may change the Adobe flash settings camera and microphone access. do nothing just exit FF.
you will not find any chzange or new Adobe registry entry or a file
    on the hard disk.
    4
    shutdown and reboot
Adobe pops up prior any setup with its big warning window stating "Install" "Remind me later".
and this hiding deep deep in the system is a malware behaviour.
and that was the question all about.
    kindest regards
