Where is Global State/Providence data maintained?

I have a need to add values to SP contact, SCRM contact, and eQ fields holding State and/or Providence dropdown list(s). Right now this list(s) contains only information for USA states and sometimes CA providences. I need to add in values for some other countries. Can I get assistance from the forum where and how this data is best modified? I am not finding a Global list in ADMN or Ext Attributes. Thank you. --Beckie

Hi, Beckie:
It true that the product doesn't provide an UI to maintain "States/Provinces".
That is the information of state is not as critical as the information of contry or others, user can free-input there as required.
Furthermore, supports may help users to add the frequently-used states/provinces to the system for improving operation.
This is an example on SQL Server:
insert into States(pkid, name)
values('2136'+cast(NEWID() as varchar(255)),'NewStateName');

  • Using Global Variables in Data Quality Address Cleanse Transforms

I am currently developing in Data Services 12.2.
I am trying to dynamically populate the List Owner information in the option tabs of the USA Regulatory Address Cleanse by using global variables.  It populates the 3553 with the variable name instead of the value assigned.
According to the Technical Manual, it is possible to use global variables in Data Quality Address Cleanse transforms:
However, you can use substitution parameters in all places where global variables are supported, for example:
    Query transform WHERE clauses
    Mappings
    SQL transform SQL statement identifiers
    Flat-file options
    User-defined transforms
    Address cleanse transform options
    Matching thresholds
Does anyone know if it is possible to use global variables in the option tab of the Address Cleanse; if so, can you describe how it is done?
    Thanks in advance,
    Rick

  • Where warning msg & error  msg are maintained in SPRO

    Dear All,
pl give the menu path to know that Where warning msg & error  msg are maintained in SPRO.
    regards
    sap11

    Hi,
In case of Purchasing, the path to maintain warning & error messages is:
Material Management->Purchasing->Environment Data->Define Attributes of System Messages
    In case of Inventory Management,
Material Management->Inventory Management and Physical Inventory->Define Attributes of System Messages
In case of External Service Management,
Material Management->External Services Management->Define Attributes of System Messages
In case of Logistics Invoice verification,
Material Management->Invoice Verification->Logistics Invoice Verification->Define Attributes of System Messages
    In case of Material Master,
    Logistics - General->Material Master->Basic Settings->Define Attributes of System Messages
Then, for eash message no., Maintain whether the message is to be shown as warning or error or information message.
    Reward if useful.

  • Delete global stats, leave partition level only in 10.2.0.3 .

    Hi,
there is 10.2.0.3 4 node rac datawarehouse , most queries are with predicate related to partition key .
So there is a lot of partition prunning involved .
Currently data load is done via exchange partition and then only that partition stats is calculated.
We dont got global stats (global_stats = NO in dba_tables) .
Is that right way to deal with statistics in 10.2.0.3 ?
I know that 10.2.0.4 brings us copy stats solution, but what with 10.2.0.3 ?
How to deal with statistics update , related to exchanged partition .
As far as I know there is no way to incrementaly update global statistics, so granuality => partition seems
    the only way .
If I got that correctly, Oracle calculates global statistics from partition level statistics if there is no 'true' global stats calculated .
The only issue I know is related to NDV estimation, but I think we can life with that.
    Please advice .
    Regards.
    GregG

You really should collect both partition and global stats. If a query spans more than 1 partition then global stats are generally used. Partition stats are used when there is only a single partition access.
There is no way in 10g to get incremental global stats. That was introduced in 11g. Global stats are collected by a table scan, they are not aggregated on 10g, only 11g with incremental enabled.
However, there was a new granularity introduced in 10g called APPROX_GLOBAL AND PARTITION. This is part of patch 6526370.
I'd recommend that you either gather global or use the APPROX_GLOBAL AND PARTITION, but it is best to have some global stats.
    More details on this here:

  • Mass change of "Stat.Delivery Date"

We have a process of getting "Commitment dates" from Vendors against our Required delivery dates
This commitment dates have to be uploaded in system
I am trying to do the same by LSMW
Is there any T-code in which I input specific PO number , Item no and Schedule number and the Stat.Delivery date can get changed.

There is no transaction where you can enter "specific PO number , Item no and Schedule number and the Stat.Delivery date can get changed"
Users do this activity in ME22N, in case of batch inputs you better make use of ME22 as the N-transactions are not designed for batch input.
Alternative you can use BAPI technique.
I hope you dont mix some SAP terms.
Commited dates are usually entered in Confirmation tab, here you can make use of IDOCs.
Stat. Delivery date is used for vendor evaluation only, a change in this field does not effect your planning, so nobody will know about a new committed date if you enter it here.

  • Where is Sudden Motion Sensor data stored?

    Background:
I replaced my superdrive with an optibay + ssd (OS is stored here) and I left the stock HD (home folder) in it's place.
    Problem:
I guess I triggered the SMS the other day and now I can't access my HD (basically just hangs / takes forever to load anything) unless I disable SMS. Where would I clear the data / tell it that my HD is safe to use again. Restarted pram and reinstalled OS, but it didn't help.

Thanks for the responses. Yes, as JoeyR stated, I replaced my superdrive with an SSD and the hard drive is in it's original place so I wanted to re-enable the sudden motion sensor. Thank you for clarifying how the SMS works. I wasn't sure if there was a state that was saved somewhere.
Well the original issue was that my OS would boot (SSD), but I couldn't get into my login (HD). I have a temporary user on the SSD so I was able to use that to troubleshoot. I swapped my HD with another one and it worked (STOCK HD). Then I tried putting the HD into an external closure and that worked as well. I had a feeling it was the connector, but I did not have spare parts to test this theory. I would swap the HDs back and forth and sometimes it would work and sometimes it wouldn't. It was a hit or miss situation. It worked when I disabled the SMS, but when I enabled / disabled it again it didn't work. Ran diagnostics on the HDs, both drives seem fine and in perfect condition. Tried to format the hard drivers and do various combinations of swapping drives and in the end the problem still persisted so it had to be a connector issue. I brought it into repair and they replaced the SATA cable for me and all is good now.
    Thanks for the help.

  • Where does the Bill of substance maintained in property tree?

    Dear Experts,
Where does the Bill of substance maintained in property tree? My understanding is it shows in section 2 in MSDS under composition tab. Please correct or confirm my understanding.
    Devdatt

    Dear Devdatt
there are by standard two options available. Both have their pros and cons:
a.) Standard EHS Export => a process which is not user friendly and without specific access rights can not be used
b.) There are two other output variant available which you could check if they fulfill the needs of the users etc.:
Check e.g. Displaying Properties - Basic Data and Tools (EHS-BD) - SAP Library
    as well as:
Displaying Specification Data - Basic Data and Tools (EHS-BD) - SAP Library
Regarding the first one: you can only download at max 50 properties in one run; regarding the second one: I am using this rarely but it is the most flexible one; not sure if the DG properties are supported. In any case: try it.
If neither a.) nor b.) are the right solution: just create your onw ABAP code and prepare a suitable output variant on your own. You can use the "full blown SAP scenario" here (a.g. ALV like output variants etc.) ; you need to "only" learn from ABApcode of the standard output variant so that you are able to create your own one. This approach is quite standard and used very often
Keep in mind. if you use STANDARD property tree and you have a lot of properties/data to be read performance is in most cases "bad"

  • Rtrim in where clause not returning correct data

    A select statement specifying
    where rtrim(field_name) <> ''
is not returning any rows even though there is data on the table with field_name not blank.
If this particular where clause is omitted the data is returned and rtrim(field_name) is populated correctly.
This is occurring across different tables and in both 10.2.0.4 and 11.2.0.1 databases. I can't find any references to this being a bug.
Has anyone else come across this ? Can anyone explain why this is happening please ?

An empty VARCHAR2 is considered NULL by Oracle.
    sql> select 1 from dual where trim (' ') = '';
    no rows selected
    sql> select 1 from dual where trim (' ') != '';
    no rows selected
    sql> select 1 from dual where trim (' ') is null;

  • Error while using '*'in the NTE (EDI 850) Segment where '*' is also used as Data Element

    Hi All,
I am facing below mentioned error while using '*'in the NTE (EDI 850) Segment where '*' is also used as Data Element
    Error: 1 (Field level error)
      SegmentID: NTE
      Position in TS: 70
      Data Element ID: NTE02
      Position in Segment: 2
      Data Value:
      3: Too many data elements
For Eg: NTE*GEN*My Text *goes here
Here, NTE02 should be My Text *goes here. So, how can I use "*" here without changing anything in the EDI message?
    Can it be done?
    Thanks.

    Sorry, no.
X12 does not support an escape character so whatever is used for delimiters become reserved characters.
If you want to allow '*' in the data, you will have to chooser a different Element delimiter.  The receiver should read the from this from the ISA Segment so it's supposed to be dynamic but that's not always the case in practice.

The iTunes application should be installed on the system drive. You may need to repair iTunes to fix that error regarding a missing .exe.
To organize your library properly see Make a split library portable.
If you don't have a working version of the library that can be transformed into a portable shape I have tools and techniques that can repair the broken links.

As previous poster said, no data is null value, no value. If you want something, you have nvl function to replace null value by an other more significative value in your query.<br>
