Where is Photoshop CC splash screen hidden? Used to be in PSArt.dll but it's been moved I think...

Anyone?

I didn't really think your reasons were nefarious.     I do have a PSart.dll file in my Photoshop CC folder, but it is only 9Kb.  The CS6 file is about 450Kb.  Do you have Show hidden files turned on in folder options?
It seems unlikely that Adobe staff will help you deface their logo, so you might be out of luck.

    Has it occurred to you that CS3 isn't compatible with Mavericks? Try using CS9 or 10.
    Sorry that's untrue. I have Photoshop CS3 running on 10.9.
    CS9 or 10? Now you are just making stuff up.
    Adobe claim CS3 will work, with a minor issue…

    The Adobe updater fails to work for me.
    I was prompted to install J6RE which came from Apple, check the Apple support downloads http://support.apple.com/downloads/#java%206
    Sorry can't provide a direct link, it was just a dumb 'You need … please click install' dialog.
    I think the 10.9 java updater is installing version 7.

  • Photoshop CS6 splash screen info

    Hello there!
    It will be a bit strange question...but somebody knows where I can find all info, which you can read on Photoshop CS6 splash loading screen? I need all the names of creators in text.

  • How do I change/customize the Photoshop CC splash screen?

    I've looked everywhere, but no correct answer has been found. Please help!
    I DO NOT want to deface the splash screen, but just add our company logo.
    I was able to edit the Illistrator CC just fine.

    The only splash screen that i was able to edit was the Illustrator one, because the raw files were in the Windows folder. I have also tried looking in the PSArt.dll for the encrypted versions, but without any luck.
    The updater process shouldn't remove the custom ones, because I just replaced the new ones with the same file names.
    Please Help!

  • Firefox won't open at all, and when I try to use the 'run' feature, it says the file has been moved, etc. I use Windows 8 and I can not lose my bookmarks. Help?

    Firefox has been working great on my computer for months, and then all the sudden it wouldn't load any pages. So naturally I restarted my computer, but when it restarted Firefox wouldn't open at all. The icon glows for a bit like normal, then it fades and never actually opens. When I try to use the 'run' command, I get this error:
    "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\ refers to a location that is unavailable. It could be on a hard drive on this computer, or on a network. Check to make sure that the disk is properly inserted, or that you are connected to the Internet or your network, and then try again. If it still cannot be located, the information might have been moved to a different location."
    I also tried the same for the file in the x86 folder but it gave the same error, and I went and looked for the files in the location given and they were there.
    Firefox didn't crash, so there aren't any other error messages I can give you.
    The things I had bookmarked are really important, I can not lose those, but other than that I'm fine with anything else needing to re-installed, etc.
    Help please?

    But I can't... find... it... It's not there.
    Unless you're talking about the entire Mozilla Firefox folder (which isn't what the thing you copied says,) there is no installation folder.

  • I've been using Firefox for some time now. but i've been having all kind of issues with it and am considering a move to Google Chrome. i don't want to do this, but for example: your site tells me i'm running version 3.6.10, when i am running 4.0.1...huh?

    i play restaurant city on Facebook, among other things, but the game crashed every time i breathed on it. somebody suggested Chrome, so i switched to it...just for that game.
    today, i started having trouble with Twitter (the new one), sending messages & tweets. i've switched to the old one & it works, but again suggested that i go to Chrome for this & all my needs.
    i don't want to, but i will if things like this keep happening.

    You can use the Tab key to select a search engine on the bottom bar and press Enter to use the search engine to do the search.
    *https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Search+bar
    In the current Firefox 34 release there is a new "one-off" search bar.
    This search bar doesn't show the name of the search engine and a logo.
    You can type one letter to make a drop-down list appear where you can see suggestions and see the used search engine and that also has bar at the bottom where you can select other search engines that are enabled via the Search tab in Options/Preferences.
    You can use the Tab key to select one of the other available search engines and press the Enter key to search with the selected search engine.
    Click the search engine icon and click "Change Search Settings" to open the Search tab in Options/Preferences (positioned between Tabs and Content) to select the default search engine and select which search engines to show in the search bar drop-down list that opens when you start typing search terms.

  • I like to use Google for my search engine but it has been replaced with Amazon. How do I get google back?

    In the upper right corner of the Firefox screen, there is a box for a search engine search. I used to have google there, but recently it somehow changed to Amazon.com. How do I switch it back to google?

    OK, might want to make that change in your profile to get faster answers to future questions. If you leave the "iOS6" that's now in your profile, helpers will have to ask the OS question every time you post, slowing your getting help you deserve. Note the level of detail I was able to cram in my Equipment profile (at the bottom of this post).
    I don't  have 10.7 on any of our Macs but I suspect a system update may have removed that iPhoto option. However, you can still get to your iPhoto files if 10.7 is anything like 10.8.
    In System Preferences > Desktop and Screensaver > Screensaver tab, there is a "Source" dropdown menu direct under the preview pane. Click it and select "Choose Folder..":
    That gives you a dialog box that should point to your "Pictures" folder. Within that is your iPhoto library. Select it and see if that gives you access to your images.

  • Photoshop CS6 freezes before splash screen (Mavericks)

    13-inch MacBook Pro 2012 (June), 2.9GHz i7, 8GB of Apple RAM (no third-party RAM), 750GB drive, non-Retina display, OS X 10.9.1. In use for over a year under 10.8.x.
    Creative Suite CS6 Production Premium (Academic License) installed. Upgraded from 10.8.5 where Photoshop CS6 ran successfully until upgrading to 10.9. Upgrading to 10.9.1 didn't help. Reverting to 10.8.5 fixes things. Adobe Drive has never been installed. Lightroom 4 is installed. Trial of InDesign CC is installed, and it was installed under 10.8.5, too.
    Only Photoshop CS6 is affected; other CS6 apps in the suite work fine under 10.9.x. After upgrading to 10.9, Photoshop CS6 will work for maybe a day, then it will launch with a menu bar and menu choices, but none of them work. The Photoshop CS6 splash screen never appears.
    It appears to be OS X user-account related. If a new OS X user is created, Photoshop CS6 works.
    CS6 suite has been removed and reinstalled; no positive effect. Adobe's CS6 uninstaller has been downloaded and CS6 suite reinstalled; no positive effect. Photoshop .plist file has been deleted; no positive effect.
    Any help appreciated! Thanks!

    Because Photoshop will launch successfully with a different OS X user account, can someone suggest which specific Console log(s) in both accounts to investigate (or search for the existence of) that may help diagnose why Photoshop won't launch?
    Additional behavior:
    In the problematic account, Photoshop starts to launch, and its menus appear. Many menus are black, but when you select a menu choice (such as Photoshop > About Photoshop or File > Open), then all Photoshop menus and choices gray out. Then you have to force quit Photoshop.
    However, if you first (while menu choices are still black) choose File > Open in Bridge CS6 (or words to that effect), then Bridge will open.
    Thanks.

    Something on your system is messing up the fonts or measurement of fonts, causing the UI to be laid out incorrectly.
    Have you removed required OS fonts?
    Or installed a "font management" utility?

  • How can i calculate the percentages and update the progressBar in the splash screen form ?

    I created a splash screen form:
    using System;
    using System.Collections.Generic;
    using System.ComponentModel;
    using System.Data;
    using System.Drawing;
    using System.Linq;
    using System.Text;
    using System.Windows.Forms;
    using System.IO;
    using System.Threading;
    namespace GetHardwareInfo
    public partial class SplashScreen : Form
    public SplashScreen()
    InitializeComponent();
    private Mutex mutex = new Mutex();
    public void SyncedClose()
    mutex.WaitOne();
    this.Close();
    mutex.ReleaseMutex();
    public void UpdateProgressBar(int percentage)
    if (this.InvokeRequired)
    mutex.WaitOne();
    if (!IsDisposed)
    this.BeginInvoke(new Action<int>(UpdateProgresPRV), percentage);
    mutex.ReleaseMutex();
    else
    UpdateProgresPRV(percentage);
    private void UpdateProgresPRV(int per)
    if (progressBar1.IsDisposed) return;
    progressBar1.Value = per;
    private void SplashScreen_Load(object sender, EventArgs e)
    The SplashScreen form have in the designer image and on the image a progressBar1.
    Then in form1 i did in the top:
    List<string> WmiClassesKeys = new List<string>();
    IEnumerable<Control> controls;
    string comboBoxesNames;
    SplashScreen splash = new SplashScreen();
    And in the constructor:
    controls = LoopOverControls.GetAll(this, typeof(ComboBox));
    string[] lines = File.ReadAllLines(@"c:\wmiclasses\wmiclasses1.txt");
    foreach (string line in lines)
    foreach (ComboBox comboBox in controls.OfType<ComboBox>())
    if (line.StartsWith("ComboBox"))
    comboBoxesNames = line.Substring(14);
    else
    if (line.StartsWith("Classes"))
    if (comboBox.Name == comboBoxesNames)
    comboBox.Items.Add(line.Substring(14));
    foreach (ComboBox comboBox in controls.OfType<ComboBox>())
    comboBox.SelectedIndex = 0;
    The method GetAll is to loop over specific controls:
    public static IEnumerable<Control> GetAll(Control control, Type type)
    var controls = control.Controls.Cast<Control>();
    return controls.SelectMany(ctrl => GetAll(ctrl, type))
    .Concat(controls)
    .Where(c => c.GetType() == type);
    When i'm running the program it's taking some time to make the foreach loops in this time i need to show the SplashScreen and update the progressBar untill the foreach loops over.

    Don't use Application.Doevents. It's not required and can cause problems.
    I do not really grasp the approach you are taking here. So let me make a different suggestion:
    SplashScreen:
    using System;
    using System.Windows.Forms;
    using System.Threading;
    namespace WindowsFormsApplication1
    public partial class SplashScreen : Form
    private static SplashScreen DefaultInstance;
    public SplashScreen()
    InitializeComponent();
    public static void ShowDefaultInstance()
    Thread t = new Thread(TMain);
    t.Name = "SplashUI";
    t.Start();
    public static void CloseDefaultInstance()
    DefaultInstance.Invoke(new Action(DefaultInstance.Close));
    private static void TMain()
    DefaultInstance = new SplashScreen();
    DefaultInstance.Show();
    Application.Run(DefaultInstance);
    public static void UpdateProgress(int Progress)
    if (DefaultInstance.InvokeRequired)
    DefaultInstance.Invoke(new Action<int>(UpdateProgress), Progress);
    else
    DefaultInstance.progressBar1.Value = Progress;
    Form1:
    using System.Windows.Forms;
    namespace WindowsFormsApplication1
    public partial class Form1 : Form
    public Form1()
    InitializeComponent();
    SplashScreen.ShowDefaultInstance();
    for (int i = 1; i<=100; i++)
    System.Threading.Thread.Sleep(20); // simulates work
    SplashScreen.UpdateProgress(i);
    SplashScreen.CloseDefaultInstance();
    EDIT: Please note that the progressbar itself is being animated by the system, so it might look slower than it really is. To workaround this, there are solutions available (you'll find them) that first set the value one higher than necessary, then
    back to the actual value.
    Edit #2: You do need a different thread, otherwise the UI is locked while the loop is running in your Form1's constructor.

  • Apple Splash Screen

    I'm not quite sure where this should go but I'm going to put it in the OS X forum and hope somebody can help...here's my question
    I bought a refurbished Mac Mini and I'm slowly learning that it's not the best thing to do. Anyways who ever had my computer before me disabled the apple splash screen which is ok for a little while but to be honest I really don't care what's going on in the background as my computer starts. So how can i re-enable the Apple splash screen or can I?

    Sounds like the system was set to boot up in "Verbose" Mode.
    This is a useful diagnostic startup mode. Basically, it is a normal startup, except that it displays all the commands and responses as they are executed.
    Normally, the computer uses the Mac logo screen to hide all these from being displayed.
    If you would like to see those messages when you startup the computer, you can hold down both the "Command Key" and the letter "V" simultaneously while the computer starts up.
    Note that with the method I mentioned above, that you don't have to undo the setting. It will only startup that way if you hold the keys down while the computer boots up.
    In your situation, the system has been locked into verbose mode. The first thing I would try is resetting the PRAM. See if that fixes it for you.
    Turn off the computer, then turn it on and immediately press and hold all of the following keys simultaneously:
    Command (the Apple) - Option - P - R
    Keep holding all 4 keys down together until you hear the startup chime 4 times. Then, release the keys and allow the machine to boot.
    See what it does during startup.
    Then, try restarting and see what happens.
    If it is fixed, then great. If it comes back, then it might be an OS setting.
    If so, try opening "Terminal" which is the Unix Command Line. This can be launched by going in the Applications folder on your hard drive, then into the Utilities folder, and finally double-clicking on "Terminal".
    At the command line / prompt, type in the following:
    sudo nvram boot-args=""
    If the computer asks you for your password, then enter whatever the password is that you use to authorize system updates, etc. (your regular administrator password).
    If you later want to re-enable the verbose mode startup, go to the same place and enter:
    sudo nvram boot-args="-v"
    Hope this helps you out.
    Let us know how this works for you.

  • Java Splash Screen

    Hey Everyone,
    I can't for the life of me get the Java SpashScreen to work. I have tried to run the example provided at [http://docs.oracle.com/javase/tutorial/uiswing/misc/splashscreen.html] however no matter how I try to run it i always get a java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError. Any ideas as to what I am doing wrong.
    I would eventually like to package my splash screen into a jar file for my application but first I would like to get the demo to work.
    Thanks,
    Nath5

    I think where you are going wrong is when you assume that error message has something to do with the fact that you're trying to use a splash screen. Since splash screens only display an image and don't require loading any classes, I would expect that messages about failing to load a class aren't related to your use of splash screens.

  • Splash screen image location

    Where is the Photoshop CS6 splash screen PNG image located on Mac OS X?

    If you just want the image, why don't you search for 'adobe photoshop splash image cs6' in Google images?
    If you're looking at altering it (which I'm unsure is against EULA and Copyrights), you'll need a resource editor such as 'ResKnife' with which you have to open up
    /Applications/Adobe Photoshop CS3/Adobe Photoshop CS3.app/Contents/Resources/Adobe Photoshop CS6.rsrc
    Look for 'SplashBackground', select it and export it as .png on your system.
    DISCLAIMER: Misuse of .rsrc file will cause your PS to crash/ not open. I'm really not sure if editing the SplashScreen is legal. I take no responsibility for any loss/ damage to your system that may result in doing this! Do it at your own risk (technical & legal)!

  • Muse CC freezes at the first splash screen

    I have never seen what Muse interface looks like. Whenever I tried to launch it, it tried to update and update failed all the time. However, recently I switched off my zone alarm firewall and was able to install the updates. Now Muse cc splash screen shows up, prompts me to sign in but after I sign in, nothing happens. The splash screen freezes. Interestingly, in my creative cloud app, Muse is listed in the not-installed application section but shows 'up-to-date', and there's no cc appears after Muse. My installed application secton has no Muse icon either! I chated to the help desk and tried deleting MBLStore and OODB folder, uninstalling program and re-installing from latest_win exe file with no success. I am using Windows 7 pro 64 bit in my macbook pro retina's bootcamp drive. Can anyone suggest what else I should try?

    Hi Sachin,
    I created another account with administrative right and Muse worked perfectly after apdating itself. Now, it is not possible for me to log in to that account everytime I use muse. If it is a confirmed permission issue, then can you please tell me how to set up right permission level so that Muse works regardless of any account?
    Also the status of Muse displayed in my CC app doesn't feel right. It is showing up in the app list that I didn't install yet with an 'up to date' icon. Moreover, although everytime I launch Muse, Muse CC opens but for unknown reason, my CC app shows only Adobe Muse, not CC. May be there's something wrong with my CC app as well?
