Where is the implement of fork() function?

I have great interest in the implement of fork() function, but after downloading the source file, I can't find the exact file. Can anybody tell me which file should I look?

Hello.
No. The first answer was what you are looking for:
scalls.c contains the following lines:
#pragma weak fork = _fork
pid_t
_fork(void)
return (_private_forkx(0));
}The "#pragma weak fork = _fork" means:
If there is no other library defining a "fork" symbol then "fork" is equal to "_fork". This allows other libraries to "overwrite" "fork".
(This "overwriting" can be done when loading the executable and the .so files.)

Where is the Bookmark backup/restore function ?

wchapgm: Please ref cor-el's response. Pretty informative.
And, Thank You both for your kind attention and assistance.
Lastly, note that there seems 2-B another issue.
The backup file format used in the older version isn't recognized by the new version !
So, unless I can find a work-around, I'll have to resort to some "manual transfers" of those resources.

  • Where did the iPhone Calendar list function(s) go with iOS7? The Calendar has gone all 'spread sheet' on me and definitely not user friendly. Please advise.

Where did the iPhone Calendar list function(s) go with iOS7?  The Calendar has gone all 'spread sheet' on me. If you select an item (grey dot) from the month display it will open up the 'spread sheet' at the current time of day, not necessarily when the calendar entry takes place.  I liked iOS6 where you could turn your iPhone to landscape mode and get that special 'spread sheet' feel if that's what you're into.  Has a 'List' presentation been removed from the iPhone Calendar with iOS7?

The List view is displayed by tapping the Search magnifying glass.

  • HT1420 Where is the "authorize this computer" function?

Where is the "authorize this computer" function in the iTunes store?

There's a couple of ways to get through to the authorisation controls in the 11.0.x versions.
The control is in the Store menu, but first (if you're using iTunes versions 11.0.x) you might need to bring up the menu bar to see the Store menu.
If you're using 11.0.x, click on the wee boxy icon up in the top-left corner of your iTunes to see the "Show Menu Bar" control, as per the following screenshot:
Then you'll find the control in the Store menu:
Altrenatively, if you don't want to bring up the menu bar, it's still possible to get into the authorise controls via nested menus accessible from the wee boxy icon. Here's a screenshot of where to find them:

  • Where is the bookmark all tabs function?

I recently updated from a very early version of FF to 13.0.1 and the bookmark all tabs in the Bookmarks menu is gone. I always use that function so i desperately need it.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Thank you!

The "Bookmark All Tabs Function" didn't dissapear. It was... NEEDLESSLY REMOVED by some very unwise and unthinking individuals.
There is No RATIONAL Reason to do away with a highly useful function that MILLIONS of Firefox users ALREADY Knew How to Find, and WERE ALREADY USING, without ever having to think about it. !
Anyone New to Firefox will (logically) look under "Bookmarks "on the "Menu Bar " for... Things that Relate to Bookmarks. This ORIGINAL Layout was... Simple, Logical, Obvious, Intuitive, and Easy to Find !
Switching to Control+Shift+D is... NOT Simple, or Logical, or Obvious, or Intuitive. AND, I had to... WASTE CONSIDERABLE TIME trying to Find how to get the functionally that was in Firefox... From The Beginning, and Used By Millions of Users.
I trade stocks online (daily) and I USE a "Screen Capture" app Multiple Times a Day, Which ALSO USES Control+Shift+D to make a Screen Capture. So, when I Need to Save Multiple Tabs, I now have to shut the screen capture app down, do the Control+Shift+D, and then open the screen capture app again.
All of this because the people at Firefox have become Downright COMPULSIVE about FORCING... NEEDLESS, CONFUSING, Un-Thinking, Mindless, and Destructive changes to the Layout and Functionality of the platform that causes MILLIONS of Users to... WASTE MILLIONS of MAN Hours to try to figure out how to use something that... They Already Knew How to Use !
In searching for a solution to this Needless Problem, I ran across a forum where people were Needlessly searching for a solution to this Man Made Problem, the "Moderator" gives the Control+Shift+D "Solution", Offers No Rational for the Needless Change, and then gos on to say that He Will Be GLAD when this functionality is... REMOVED COMPLETELY !
I assume that the management at Firefox would like to have their browser as widely accepted and used by "Enterprise" as possible. If so, this sort of un-thinking Change just for the sake of change, needs to... Stop.
I have run two national companies, and I can assure you that I would Go To Considerable Lengths to AVOID Any Software that my company would have to PAY employees to stop constructive work just to constantly Re-Learn how to use the software, not to mention Endless Updates and Bug Fixes. There can be very large sums of money involved in such Avoidable Wastes of Productivity. These are some of the reasons why companies go so long before "updating" to new Microsoft releases, whose stock has been flat for yhe last 10 years. ( and is now facing some Real Competion.)
The Firefox people are always pushing updates, which are good for security reasons, but the unending changes to the GUI and the Functionality are Not Appreciated. They are despised for very real and rational reasons.
If you will through your own forums, and do a few web searches, you will find that users around the world have gone from looking forward to Firefox updatees (in the early releases), to avoiding them like the plague, or switching to other browsers completely.
Someone once said: "If it ain't Broke, Don't Fix it."
Someone else said: "The only thing worse than Being Wrong, is... Staying Wrong."
I'm saying that if you find that you have shot yourself in the foot...
    1. Stop Shooting... IMMEDIATELY !
    2. FIX Your Foot
    3. Take SERIOUS MEASURES to Make Certain that You DON'T... Shoot Yourself in the Foot Again !
Give the users a Firefox that they are Comefortable With and don't have to Constantly Mess With, and you will be will on your way to wide Acceptance, and Loyalty by everyone, including the "enterprise" world.
Leave the "tweaks" alone. These can be supplied by your Ad-on community, and the users will either accept them or not. The Customer is always right.
NEVER, EVER, EVER, REMOVE a FUNCTIONALITY Unless it is a SECURITY THREAT ! You WILL Make a LOT of People Mad if you do, and you will Destroy what Loyalty that hasn't already been lost.

  • Where is the in-built update function?

Iam told that I need to update my Firefox. Where is the automatic update?

    Hi mhodge,
You should take a look at the Knowledge Base article [[Updating Firefox]]. This will explain all of the steps involved in upgrading to the latest version.
There have been some changes in the latest builds, so you might want to look at [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/common-questions-after-upgrading-firefox-36 this article] that answers common questions people usually ask after upgrading.
    Hope this helps!

Source code is not available. The javadoc is distributed with the installation media. On my machine I can find the javadoc for DocumentMetadata here:

  • Cannot find the implementation of GetAssociatedServicesURL function

    Hi,
We have BusinessObjects XI R2 implemented in our company server, I've been mostly using the session web service to login and open BO reports by using .NET code to generate the BO reports link from ASPX webpages.
I have a requirement to open these report in excel format and pass report prompts from a .NET page, I went through the documentation and viewed some sample codes, in order to achieve this requirement I have to instantiate a ReportEngine object and go through it different methods and classes.
Even though i'm able to connect to the ReportEngine service and view its methods, i'm unable to locate method name GetAssociatedServicesURL from the ReportEngine webservice, i'm not sure what i'm doing wrong?.
    This also the same for static method ReportEngine.GetInstance(boSession,strBORepEngURL[0]);
Do I have an old version of it or I have missed a step , need your help please.
Edited by: Dpanet on Oct 2, 2010 4:19 AM

You'd use the Session Web Service to get the associated URL for ReportEngine:
    strArrayURLS = sessionInstance.GetAssociatedServicesURL("ReportEngine");
then use the zeroth element for the ReportEngine.GetInstance second parameter.
    Sincerely,
    Ted Ueda

  • Newbie: where is the implementation of connections between process steps

    Hi !
I'm just starting with Solution Manager and trying to understand this concept. Once you graphically connect some process steps in the business blueprint to represent the processing sequence, then how do you really implement that logic to be executed? is it mapped somehow automatically to a SAP workflow?
    Thanks.
    Regards,
    Matias.

Hi. Thanks for your comment. What I meant is for example, if you go to https://implementationcontent.sap.com/bpr , then to Business Process Repository -> Organizational Areas -> Sales -> Business Processes ->Account identification -> SAP CRM 4.0 and choose the Graphic tab on the right, you see a business process model of the scenario. In that graphic, for example, "Answer contact" is linked or connected to "Identify account and contact person"..what does this connection mean in the realization or implementation phase? would there be some kind of workflow configuration ?will be the second transaction or step automatically called after the execution of the first one?
    Thanks!
    Regards,
    Matias.

  • Where is the IPTC auto complete function in Photoshop CC 2014?

I miss a function in the IPTC file info since my company upgraded from Photoshop CC to Photoshop CC 2014. In the past the description had a auto complete function, which is a really good function when you have to edit multiple images with the same description. Is it possible to get this option back in CC 2014?
    Cheers,
    Lars

So what we are talking about is the "Auto Complete" feature in the File > Info form in Photoshop.
Yes it has been taken out in CC 2014 and it may not be convenient to move your work over to CC for that one feature.
You can submit it as a feature request here: Photoshop Family Customer Community
That forum would be the best for reporting it.

This forum is mostly users like yourself and best can be done here is recommend workarounds or other software.

  • Where is the Safari iPad "find" function ?

On any Mac, I can hit Command-F and find stuff on the page. How do I do this on a new iPad Air  5th generation?
    Message was edited by: TarasVWZ

To search for text within a web page In Safari on iPad, tap on the url bar at the top, and type in your search string, but don't tap enter.  At the bottom of the auto complete results will be a section titled "On this page"  Tap that to get the search results for the current website page.

  • In Firefox 4, where is the "Bookmark ALL Tabs" function? I really need this function and have downgraded back to F3, having not found it in 4.

Not sure what extra details to provide past what I have already asked. Thanks for the help, though.

Some menu entries are hidden by default and only appear if you use the keyboard to open the menu.
"Bookmark All Tabs" and "Bookmark All Tabs" in the Bookmarks menu are among them.<br />
You can see the difference if you use Alt+F or Alt+B to the File and Bookmarks menu and compare that to what you see if you use the mouse to open the menu after you have made the menu bar visible by pressing Alt or by pressing F10.
    * "Bookmark This Page" and "Bookmark All Tabs" no longer show in the Bookmarks menu unless you open the Bookmarks menu via the keyboard (Alt + B).
    * "Bookmark This Page" can be accessed via the right-click context menu of that browser page.
    * "Bookmark All Tabs" can be accessed via the right-click context menu of a tab on the tab bar.
