Where is the (terminal-) Man(ual), please (I have shown the hidden folders) ?

Hi everybody !
I am a third year informatics learner, I am from Switzerland, an my mother tongue is french.
Now, am I searching for exporting the help (man) of the Terminal. In this last, the man occurs only for specified commands, or only some pages.
But I would like to export this Man (as in preview, or in pdf), to have it all.
Desperating of making this with Linux, I tried this with OS X mountain lion.
My last attempt was to type in the Terminal:
manpath
it answered to me that it was in /usr/shared/Man
And I have shown the hidden folders and files, but: unfindable; I go in ./utilisateurs/partagé/ , there is no visible Man.
Could someone help me, please ?
Thank you in advance.

  • Where is the Hidden folder in photos?

I Migrated my pics from iPhoto to Photos. I've read that the pictures will appear in a "Hidden" folder...not in Moments or Albums. Where is the Hidden folder? I cannot find.

    Hi Ohohum,
Happy Holidays!  The resource below will review the migration process from iPhoto to Photos for iOS.  If you have any hidden photos, they will be in an album called Hidden.  Click on the links below for complete details.  I've summarized some of the key information relating to your question below:
Migrating from iPhoto for iOS to Photos on iOS 8 - Apple Support
    http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201386
Photos hidden in iPhoto do not appear in the Years, Moments, or Collections views in Photos, but are placed in an album titled Hidden.
View photos and videos - iPhone
    http://help.apple.com/iphone/8/#/iph3d267610
The Photos app includes tabs for Photos, Shared, and Albums.
Tap Albums to see how photos and videos are organized into albums on your iPhone. See Organize photos and videos.
View all your photos and videos. By default, Photos displays a representative subset of your photos when you view by year or by collection. To see all your photos and videos, go to Settings > Photos & Camera, then turn off Summarize Photos.
Organize photos and videos - iPhone
    http://help.apple.com/iphone/8/#/iphf14943e
Album tab includes albums you create and several default albums, depending on which Photos features you use. Videos are automatically added to the Videos album, for example. You see a My Photo Stream album if you use that feature (see My Photo Stream). If you use iCloud Photo Library beta, you have an All Photos album, which includes all your photos and videos in iCloud (see iCloud Photo Library beta); if you don’t use iCloud Photo Library beta, the Camera Roll album includes photos and videos you took with iPhone or saved to iPhone from other sources.
Hide photos you want to keep but not show. Touch and hold a photo, then choose Hide. The photo is moved to the Hidden album. Touch and hold a hidden photo to Unhide it.
Remove a photo or video from an album. Tap the photo or video, tap , then tap Delete Photo. The photo is removed from the album and from the Photos tab.
Delete a photo or video from Photos. Tap the Photos tab, tap the photo or video, tap , then tap Delete Photo or Delete Video. Deleted photos and videos are kept in the Recently Deleted album on iPhone, with a badge showing the remaining days until the item is permanently removed from iPhone. To delete the photo or video permanently before the days expire, tap the item, tap Delete, then tap Delete Photo or Delete Video. If you use iCloud Photo Library beta, deleted photos and videos are permanently removed from all iOS 8.1 devices that use iCloud Photo Library beta with the same Apple ID.
Recover a deleted photo or video. In the Recently Deleted album, tap the photo or video, tap Recover, then tap Recover Photo or Recover Video to move the item to the Camera Roll or, if you use iCloud Photo Library beta, the All Photos album.

  • Why can't I see the rss mail box in mail? Where is the all folders in the mail?

Why can't I see the RSS mail box in mail in OS X Mountian Lion? Where is the all folders option in the mail?
    Thanks

    The previous Mail did have:
    MAILBOXES
    ON MY MAC
The above separated the mailboxes slightly.
Yes, the On My Mac has been removed and everthing comes under one heading of Mailboxes now.
All my mailboxes are there that I had before though.

  • Where exactly the KM folders resides on the file system .??

Please also answer the given questions???
Does the userhome folder in the KM also exists on the file system on the portal server. If yes, whats the navigation for the same.
Where does the favorites specific to a user in the userhome resides on the file system?
Where exactly the KM folder resides on the file system?

The only part of the repository you will find in the filesystem (as a default) would be the /etc repository.  Its specific location depends on your implementation - it could be a local directory or on a share somewhere.
The only other parts of the KM subsystem you would find in the filesystem would be any custom repositories you had defined as FSDB or similar.  Otherwise as reported everything else is stored in the DB.

  • Import pictures inside iphoto from PC windows folders without the hidden folders

hello, i need your support to import photo from external HD (picture coming form PC window vista folders) to iphoto without the hidden folder that contain picture format "VCMS_KF_REPS" and similars. Should i delate that strange format manually and directly inside iphoto? I have 15 GB of pictures to import and the manually operation is so long...
    thanks

Do you have to import directly from from that folder on your external HD?
How about copying only the visible files to a folder on your mac and importing from that folder to iPhoto?
Or if you import them, to use iPhoto's smart albums and filters to find the photos that you want to delete, so you can delete them all at once.
These pictures are few KB (low resolution) named vcm_s_kf_repr_640x480
You could create a smart album (File > New Smart Album" with the rule: Filename contains "vcm_s_kf_repr_640x480" - or any other thing similar for all pictures - and then select all photos found and delete the photos in that album.

  • The "hidden folders"

    I've noticed by mounting the main HD on Virtual PC, that there are many hidden folders on the hard drive, with names such as "private," and "var," etc. These hidden folders do not show up in Mac OS, even if I'm signed in under the root account. ^^;
What are these folders, and am I fairly safe from the chance that they could be infected with "crapware" (adware, virii, etc) if I employ secure internet surfing (firewall on, javascript off)?
    Thanks,
    Ken =)

    Hello Fruit,
These files are normal. They are part of OS X. They are NOT spyware or viruses and should be left well alone unless you know exactly what you are doing to them.
    Perfectly normal and safe.
    Hope that helps some.
    Regards
    Ian

  • Where is the hidden text?

    All:
I'm attempting to unravel a Flash template and there are two Flash movies, Main and Magazine, the second being embedded into the first.  The Magazine Flash file contains a menu of links to various pages in the Magazine movie.  There are 5 of these links - About, Services, Contact, etc.  I've been trying to find the text elements so I can assign new colors, but the only thing that I can find is the first element.  There is a scene called menutxt which has an area with text for each of the five links but they all have the text "About" in the buttons.  I would have expected each button to contain the different link names.  In any event, I can't seem to find any file which contains the individual text elements so I was assuming that this was a standard Flash convention for menus and that perhaps somebody in this forum can help guide me to the place withing the Flash file where I can change the text.
    Thanks so much.
    Steve

No external actionscript file.  No luck yet.  Here is some more info.  In the Flash file there are several movie clips.  Here are the descriptions:
    1) menu, this has 5 layers each with one of the five menu buttons, but each with the text "About" on top
    2) menu_mc, has a layer, text and button, sized for the length of the word "About".  The word "About" appear in the text.  If I change it, the text changes for items 1 - 6.
    3) menu_mc2, has a layer, text and button, sized for the length of the word "Services". The word "About" appear in the text.  If I change it, the text changes for items 1 - 6.
    4) menu_mc3, has a layer, text and button, sized for the length of the word "Wedding Checklist". The word "About" appear in the text.  If I change it, the text changes for items 1 - 6.
    5) menu_mc4, has a layer, text and button, sized for the length of the word "Photo Gallery". The word "About" appear in the text.  If I change it, the text changes for items 1 - 6.
    6) menu_mc5, has a layer, text and button, sized for the length of the word "Contact". The word "About" appear in the text.  If I change it, the text changes for items 1 - 6.
    7) menuTxt_mc, has 2 layers one of which has the text "About"
I can't find any actionscripts attached to any of this.  Does this help?
    Thanks again.
    Steve

  • Where is the Shared folders in itunes

When I want to copy files from my iphone, I can't find she shared folders in itunes

    That's because it doesn't exist.
If you're trying to copy documents created by and save in apps on the phone, go to the apps tab and click on the specific app toward the bottom of the page. If it supports file sync, It will be there and any documents that can be copied from the device will be there.

  • Where is the 'Watch Folders' option in PSE 9 Organizer for Mac?

I'm sure it's right in front of my face, but I can't find it. Thanks!

Thanks everyone for your replies. Bob, thanks to you especially for your candor. I use Adobe products for both photography and graphic design. I have been a loyal PSE user since PSE 4, but I use Photoshop (started out with CS2, now up to CS5) for all of my editing. I only use PSE for my digital asset management. The reason I need watched folders is that any new files I create in CS5 are not automatically added to my catalog in PSE. I switched to a Mac 3 years ago and wasn't happy with any of the alternatives, so I have been using PSE for Mac since version 9. However, over the years, I have found that I don't always remember to go back into the PSE catalog to import after working on something in CS5, so my catalog is always missing some files. I have found a watched folder plugin for Lightroom that seems to work pretty seamlessly in the background, but I found Lightroom not nearly as intuitive to use when I bought LR2 a few years back. Plus, facial recognition is a big feature for me, and LR4 still lacks that. I guess that, for Mac users, there's really no one solution that works as well as PSE does for Windows users.
I guess I'll have to continue my search...Thanks again for your replies!

  • DVD Player - Where are the language folders located?

In attempting to free-up HD space, I accidently deleted ALL of my languages from the Open Apple-I window of DVD Player. They luckily went to the trash, and I recovered the English.Iproj folder. All I need to do is find a home for it, but alas, even Spotlight will not reveal its location. I might add that I was following a recent MacWorld article!

Control-click it, choose Show Package Contents, and put them into the Contents/Resources/ folder.
