Where's the Designer SDK developer guide?

I'm doing some testing to see how hard it would be to programmatically build a universe based on our existing meta data.  I'm able to open existing universes, but I'm having trouble exporting.  When I call Universes.Export(), I get an exception that simply states, "Unable to export universe."
Why is the Designer SDK the only SDK without a developer guide?
Can anybody provide me with some sample code that builds a new universe and exports it (preferably in C#).
Thanks,
-- Trey

Hello Deepti,
Thank you for your response.  However, that page doesn't have a link to the Designer SDK Developer Guide.  I've found this page: https://boc.sdn.sap.com/developer/library
Notice that the only SDK without a developer guide is the Designer SDK.  I'm really starting to wonder how much it is actually used.
Like I mentioned in my previous post, I can open existing universes, but I'm having trouble exporting.  I just get an ambiguous error message stating that it "cannot export universe".  The documentation is not up to date with the API I'm using.  I'm seeing that the method signatures have changed on a few of the methods.  Plus, it appears that some of the methods need to be called in a specific order for them to succeed.  Without the source or good documentation, the task is pretty frustrating.
I'm trying to create a universe programmatically and then export it.  Anybody have a code example?

  • Where can I get Tutotorial.zip that the OA Framework Developer Guide talks

    Hi
Can someone please tell me as to, from where I can get the Tutorial.zip that the OA Framework Developer Guide talks about.
    thanks
    subra.

    Hi,
You can download the OA JDeveloper Extension from Metalink (Patch Number 4045639) and install it according to the instructions provided on Metalink note 286082.1. This will install a version of JDeveloper on your machine that already comes with the tutorial mentioned in the Developer Guide, as well as the IDE suited for OA Development.
    Thanks!

Please.. Could you change your forum handle to something more human, we are a friendly group here and lik to know who we are talking to.. Secondly, WHy are you using such an OLD version oft he product. You would be better off installing 3.2.1 (latest released build) and asking your questions after you do that..

  • Where has the iTunes SDk gone?

I keep finding links to the iPhone SDK but none of them work once I login to the developer site.
Has this now been deprecated by the iPhone SDK>
I am looking for the windows COM itunes SDK. Essentially I need to write a touch screen interface for my iTunes and work and use the iTunes library to do so. I also want to build a web interface that I can control the system from say my iPhone as well or another computer in the house.
Anyway is the iTunes SDK still available anywhere or should I look at the iPhone SDK instead?
    Dan

Can you use the iTunes Visual Plug-ins SDK instead? I was able to download it from this link: [https://connect.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/MemberSite.woa/wa/getSoftware?bun dleID=19923].
The link to iTunes COM for Windows SDK seems to have been redirected to the ADC member front page. However I can't find any notice that it's been discontinued, not even one other forum message or blog from anyone else who can't find it. So could just be a temporary problem. I would contact ADC and/or file a bug against the link.
I don't understand how you might solve your problem with the iPhone SDK. Maybe if you explain exactly how you want to use an iPhone, someone here will be able to help.

  • Where is the StarTree SDK?

I'm have just begun researching Xcelsius and would like to find a Business Object capability mentioned under Dashboards and Visualization called the StarTree SDK but I cannot find the Business Object StarTree SDK.
SAP Business Objects BI Solutions for Large Enterprises - Dashboards and Visualization references StarTree SDK
    http://www.sap.com/usa/solutions/sapbusinessobjects/large/business-intelligence/dashboard-visualization/index.epx
The SDK link only takes you to a description:
    http://www.sap.com/usa/solutions/sapbusinessobjects/large/business-intelligence/dashboard-visualization/advanced-visualization/index.epx
The SDN Community Network for Business Objects lists the SDK library but it does not include the StarTree SDK.  The SAP BusinessObjects Developer SDK Library (including Crystal Reports and Xcelsius) is located at
    http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/boc/sdklibrary
    I appreciate any assistance.

  • Where is the release SDK?

I downloaded the release Mosaic server and it starts fine.
However I need to install the SDK. It says it is included in the DL but the only file was the jar for starting the server.
In previous releases I always needed to install the SDK and the documentation seems to indicate this is no different.

But I can't find a released SDK for DL anywhere, where is it?  Should I just use the es-sdk-pkg-1.0.186 sdk from the prelease version I have?
Also I noted there is no tooling update over the 1.0.44 eclipse plugin, is that correct?

  • Where is the design tab in fluid layout

    Hello,
I'm using the latest version of Dreamweaver downloaded from Adobe CC.
    Following some YouTube tutorials.
When creating normal html pages at the top left hand side of the screen there are three buttons
    "code" "split" "live"
The last one "live" has a small drop down arrow and i can toggle between "live" and "design"
I started watching some tutorials about fluid design templates.
In the videos they are still clicking on the "design" button.
When create a fluid grid page in this new version, the "design" option isn't there at all. Only "code" "split" "live" remain.
I just wondered if this is something that has been changed in the program and the "design" view is not an option any more?
Could someone clarify that for me, and if it is hidden, please could they point it out. Seems like a lot of fluid grid tutorials on youtube are working with the design view, so its a bit difficult if i can't view that page in that mode.
    Thanks in advance
    Nick

Design View was removed from FluidGrid Layouts in the October release of CC 2014.1.
There has been much discussion on this topic.
Is there any way to display the Design View in fluid grid pages?

  • Where has the Setup and Load Guide gone?

    Hello experts,
In the past I helped implement our CRM 3.0 and 4.0 systems.  At the time we had some very helpful guides (.pdf) which allowed us to configure the basic exchanges between R/3 and CRM.  They were called:
Implementation and Configuration Step by Step
    Setup and Load Guide
We are now going through a new CRM 7.0 fresh install and I am looking for those very same guides but updated for CRM 7.0.
At first someone pointed us to the building block guides "http://help.sap.com/saap/sap_bp/CRM_701_XX/Html/index.htm" but those do not appear to be the same content from what I recall in the older versions.  They look to help you establish a quick "default" type system even telling you values to plug in.  This was very different from the older versions where it explained step by step how to connect to R/3 and pull in values.
Someone then told us that "those guides are in Solution Manager now" but not being overly knowledgeable in SOLMAN I cannot seem to find a way to locate them.
Even in IMG in CRM 7.0 we see several references specifically saying "CRM Setup and Download Guide".
Can someone please help me locate the latest versions of those guides.
Thank you very much for your help.

    Andrei,
Thank you for your response.  You are the second person to mention "Solution Manager documentation" as a way to obtain such information.  Can you elaborate on how you go about obtaining that type of information through Solution Manager?
We were given guidance to find such documentation through the "accelerator tab" under Project Scope -> Roadmap but we are unable to find that tab.
Please advise if that was what you might be referring to or something else.
Thank you very much for your help.

  • Where's the documentation or user guide?

I am now working through the twelve lessons in Adobe Premiere Elements 11 Classroom in a Book. Several times the book says to refer to Premiere Elements documentation or user guide for a full explanation of a subject. Is there such a thing and where do I find it? There is plenty of clear information in the Help and Tutorials but not the documentation that comes, for example, with a camcorder.

    Tommy,
You will find a lot of that here: http://helpx.adobe.com/pdf/premiere-elements_reference.pdf
Also, the Help File, F1, will have good material too, and is active on-line, so there are some comments via Community Help there, as well.
If you are new to PrE, here is a partial list of useful resources: http://forums.adobe.com/message/3953827#3953827
I particularly recommend Steve Grisetti's Basic Training Series on Muvipix.com.
    Good luck,

  • WHERE IS THE LIGHTROOM SDK FOR MAC?

    Hi,
I can't find where to download the SDK for Lightroom 3 for Mac??
    Thanks,
    Juan

    Hi,
Its most likely showing you a blank page again because it is pulling the page from your browser's cache (or an ISP cache) instead of the web server. On Windows I'd try holding down the Control, Alt or Shift key (can never remember which) to bypass the cache when next refreshing that page. Not sure what the equivalent is on Mac (and presumably Safari). Alternatively try a different browser e.g. Chrome or Firefox to see if it has more luck with the download.
As Rob mentioned, the link posted earlier by Renambol seems to be working fine.

  • Where's the intermediate and advanced guide to arch linux

i think some of us have finished reading the beginners guide already and would like a consolidated version of knowledge that would make up what would be considered as an intermediate and advanced guide to arch. (I know that there are many disparate sections on different aspects of managing the arch installation) So anyway, its just my suggestion, I can't do it myself as im still a beginner but would like to move on to more advanced stuff.

    That's my twisted opinion, atleast.
yes, that is true but its not about ability or anything, imho its much more convienient to go to one place to get all the info than to go to google.com/the wiki/forum and type in what you want to search for.
After you have learned the basics, everything you learn means you increase your knowledge in a specific direction. This means that the knowledge itself grows exponentially from the beginner to the intermediate level, figuratively speaking. There can't be an intermediate guide to Arch. There can be a nice wiki which catalogs the knowledge, however. There can be How Tos, which explain how to reach a certain goal for every possible skill level.
