Build failure when trying to build haproxy with SSL support.
Hello everybody,
I don't know if this is the right "context" to submit this question.
How ever I'm having problem with building haproxy 1.5.5 with SSL support.
I'm running SLES 11 SP3 with the latest updates via YAST2.
Building without SSL support works fine.
I use the syntax:
make TARGET=linux2628 USE_OPENSSL=1
And here is the output:
gcc -Iinclude -Iebtree -Wall -O2 -g -fno-strict-aliasing -DCONFIG_HAP_LINUX_SPLICE -DTPROXY -DCONFIG_HAP_LINUX_TPROXY -DCONFIG_HAP_CRYPT -DENABLE_POLL -DENABLE_EPOLL -DUSE_CPU_AFFINITY -DASSUME_SPLICE_WORKS -DUSE_ACCEPT4 -DNETFILTER -DUSE_GETSOCKNAME -DUSE_OPENSSL -DUSE_SYSCALL_FUTEX -DCONFIG_HAPROXY_VERSION=\"1.5.5\" -DCONFIG_HAPROXY_DATE=\"2014/10/07\" \

I'm I missing some libs or sources from OpenSSL ?
And/or need to point them out so that make/gcc can find them?
I have copy haproxy from another machine where I did the build process on.
But I would like to be able to build it on my SLES 11 SP3 installation.
Thank you in advance.Originally Posted by smflood

So you're trying to build HAProxy 1.5.5 from source?
Do you have libopenssl and libopenssl-devel installed? What does "rpm
-qa | grep ssl" report?
You might have better luck installing HAProxy 1.5.5 already built for
SLES11 SP3 via the openSUSE Build Service @
https://build.opensuse.org/package/s...ackage=haproxy

Hello Simon,
Yes I'm trying to build it from source.
Unfortunately I don't have them installed.
Here is the output:
sudo -i rpm -qa | grep -i ssl
openssl-0.9.8j-0.62.1
libopenssl0_9_8-0.9.8j-0.62.1
libopenssl0_9_8-32bit-0.9.8j-0.62.1
perl-IO-Socket-SSL-1.38-5.2.2
perl-Net-SSLeay-1.35-2.14
openssl-certs-1.97-0.3.1
Thank you for your speedy reply. -
How can I verify the SSL service enabled in CSS and SCA ?
I'm working for the OpenSSL vulnerability for CSS and SCA. How can I check if the device enabled the SSL service ?
- https://x.x.x.x --> cannot access.
- telnet x.x.x.x 443 --> I got a blank screen. I think this should be connection rejected if no SSL enabled.
Please guide me what command should I issue on the device(CSS and SCA) to verify the SSL service enabled ?
Thanks,To see what ports are being listened to.
On the SCA, you can do "show netstat"
On the CSS, you would go into debug mode and do
symbol-table load
shell inetstatShow

The SSL support feature is not properly configured. Https is not available.
Hi all
We get the following warning message even though we are not using SSL.
"The SSL support feature is not properly configured. Https is not available."
I tried with the following parameter set to false in the MobileEngine.config, still the same warning occurs for each synchronization done. But the sync works fine.
MobileEngine.Security.SSLSupport=false
Had any body come accross this one, if so please let me know.
Thanks
RajHi Raj
The error "The SSL support feature is not properly configured. Https is not available" will not cause any problems for you during synchronization. The reason that this error is displayed is due to the fact that by default MI is configured to support HTTPS Synchronization and not HTTP. This is because it is recommeded to use HTTPS sync inorder to transmit data in a secure manner and this is very necessary in customer production system. This so called error will not have any impact on sync but is just an information to the administrator. This can be disabled by the use of parameter <b><i>MobileEngine.Security.SSLSupport=false</i></b> but make sure that this parameter is set to false even before performing the first sync i.e before obtaining a device id. If you set this value to false after performing some syncs, the error is still visibile in either the Web Console or the NetWeaver Administrator because it would have been sent by the previous sync and these statments are retained and never purged. Hope this helps and clarifies your doubts.

Where is Support for Windows Update issues for Windows Server?
Where is Support for Windows Update Issues for Windows Server?
Windows Update keeps prompting to install an important update, KB2871690 and continually fails with error code 0x800f922
I ran all the fixes I can find, it still fails.
I also tried the manual install, fails.
Microsoft used to provide no charge support for Windows Update issues. They additionally offer online fixes for other versions of windows, but not server, and I can't find a forum.
I also cannot ignore the update, it continually prompts.
I ran the windowsupdate.diagcab and it continually states it fixes Windows Update error 0x80070057, by resetting windows update data store. It further states it fixes Problems installing recent updates.
But it doesn't. I've run it 50 times, and it says the same thing every time.
So there is no support for windows update, and no support for windowsupdate.diagcab.
What's the deal?I've done the SFC/ SCANNOW and DISM

ColdFusion RDS Plugin SSL Supported?
I've tried to configure the ColdFusion RDS plugin to connect
via an SSL secured port but this does not seem to work, even after
making sure the certificates for the site were in the trusted
certificate store.
Is this supported and I have something misconfigured or it
SSL support not included in the current version of the plugin?
If it is not supported, will a new version be available soon
that adds SSL support?
Thanks,
BrianI, too, have Eclipse Galileo. My RDS Fileview didn't crash. It didn't work either. Whenever I attempted to open it, it just got stuck, displaying "Contacting Server...".
Here is how I convinced it to work.
1) Follow the menu Window => Show View => Other
2) Click on the + next to the Coldfusion group to expand it.
3) Click on RDS Fileview and press OK.
4) The RDS Fileview tab should appear, with the list of RDS servers in it. This assumes you did configure RDS. Did you? If you didn't, RDS Fileview wouldn't work.
My server, Localhost, appeared in the tab. When I click on the + next to it, expecting to see the tree of files, I instead see the message "Contacting Server...".
5) The workaround I found was to right-click on Localhost and then select Go Into. All the drives on the RDS server are then displayed, by letter.
6) When I click on the + next to C:\, expecting to see the files in the drive, I instead get the familiar message, Contacting Server...".
7) It is onlly when I right-click on C:\ and then select Go Home that I finally see the files in the RDS server.
Hope it helps. -
Where is: settings, enable "editing (selection)" ???
I can't find the - enable "editing (selection)" box so that I can check it to enable group editing of multiple takes from 3 tracks.
Can anyone remind me where this- settings, enable "editing (selection)" can be found, I seem to have forgotten.Bill,
Thank you very much, I just realized I had not opened the "group settings" which is where the
"Enable Editing Selection" is found. I got it working.
I just had a little trouble remembering what to do with "quick swiping" settings for each of the tracks you are multiple editing at once. You leave "quick swiping" On correct? otherwise you can't select the part of the waveform you are doing the comp edit on... correct?
Much thanks! -
Does IPv6 traffic support enabled for icloud?
Hi Everybody,
Since all ISP's started IPv6 deployment just wanted to know whether IPv6 traffic support enabled for icloud application?Apple does not support the 3rd party drives. To enable it (without installing another software package), you can visit the website:
http://digitaldj.net/2011/07/21/trim-enabler-for-lion/
I ran the series of commands on my Mac Pro and it did enable TRIM.
the webpage even has a backup/back-out procedure.
Without TRIM, my computer was running extremely slowly. After enabling TRIM, my computer ran substancially faster. -
To support certficate based client authentication using 2-way SSL from a standalone java application which uses JNDI and JSSE1.0.2 to connect to an SSL enabled LDAP Server how do we configure the certmap.conf? Is there any additional setup required at the LDAP Server side apart from enablinf SSL with the option"Required Client Authentication" enabled. The 2 way SSL handshake goes through but the access log file (After configuring the certmap.conf for the issuer DN of the client certficate etc..)shows SSL failed to LDAP DN?But inspite of this access log error the Java client does get an SSL Connection object with which it is able to connect to the LDAP.IS the certmap.conf file being looked up by the LDAP Server at all?
have you out.flush() and out.close() before you call connection.getInputStream()?

Authentication Cleartext if SSL is enabled
In OS X 10.9 Server, will cleartext authentication for the mail server work only if a client enables SSL? I only want to allow cleartext if SSL is a mandatory requirement for that connection.
I have Microsoft Outlook users who I want to be able to authenticate on my server, and MD5 isn't supported.Oracle HTTP Server (OHS) by default is started in SSL mode as compare to generic Apache where one has to explicitly start it in SSL mode (and that too only with Apache 1.3 and 2.0, "apachectl startssl" is no longer applicable for Apache 2.2).
From OHS's point of view, you can look at two things to figure out if OHS is running with SSL enabled or not:
- Look for following <data> element under <ias-component id="HTTP_Server"> element in opmn.xml file:
<data id="start-mode" value="ssl-enabled"/>
- If Apache/OHS is running in SSL mode it is started with -DSSL switch in the command line so you can grep the httpd process to verify. For example you can do this:
$ps -ef | grep '\-DSSL'
Hope this helps.
Thanks

Hi. I wana to enable root user in mac os 10.6.3 but I cannot find it when opening the Director Utility!!!!
I read this article http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1428 but still cannot find Enable Root User from the Edit menu. This only works, if you have enabled the root account before ;-) so here you are again ;-)

The root account should now be enabled. You are now free to aim at your foot.
NOTE: these days most power users can get along using just the sudo command without enabling root. If they need a root prompt, then just enter
sudo -s
or
sudo su -
It is possible to set up ssh-keygen keys for root that allow remote ssh logins for unattended backups from a backup server, all without enabling the root account.
So at least once you have to go through the enable sequence mentioned above.
If root account is disabled only sudo works, but you cannot do anything like "su root" or "sudo passwd root", that addresses the root account itself, since it is disabled.
But I agree, I do not remember any situation where in a Terminal session "su root" was necessary. In all cases using sudo was sufficient. -
LDAP Connector: SSL support and de-provisioning
Hi guys
I have two questions regarding the SAP LDAP Connector (LDAP client):
1) Does the SAP LDAP connector support connections to SSL-enabled directories?
2) Does the SAP LDAP connector make it possible to delete SAP users, when the corresponding user is deleted in the directory (which is the 'leading' system in such a scenario).
BR
Tom BoTom,
The IDM LDAP connector does support SSL. The LDAP connector will support add, modify and delete operations.
This [thread|Provisioning to AD - Is SSL mandatory ?; might be helpful as well.

Integrated WLS only works when SSL is enabled
Hi,
I'm using JDeveloper 11g on a WinXP machine. It's a clean install with a user account where I deleted the data folder +%USERPROFILE%\Application Data\JDeveloper+. I use the "Create Default Domain" option from the "Application Server Navigator" view to initialize a domain for 127.0.0.1.
My problem is that when the server is running (Run->Start Server Instance....) I cannot connect to the server from JDeveloper. Right-clicking on the server entry and going to the "Test" tab of its properties, I choose "Test connection" and get:
Testing JSR-160 Runtime ... failed.
Cannot establish connection.
Testing JSR-160 DomainRuntime ... skipped.
Testing JSR-88 ... skipped.
Testing JSR-88-LOCAL ... skipped.
Testing JNDI ... skipped.
Testing JSR-160 Edit ... skipped.
Testing HTTP ... success.
Testing Server MBeans Model ... skipped.
1 of 8 tests successful.However, if I enable SSL by editing "config.xml" from +%USERPROFILE%\Application Data\JDeveloper\system11.1.1.2.36.55.36\DefaultDomain\config+ by adding:
<ssl>
<name>DefaultServer</name>
<enabled>true</enabled>
<listen-port>7102</listen-port>
</ssl>Somehow this results in everything working:
Testing JSR-160 Runtime ... success.
Testing JSR-160 DomainRuntime ... success.
Testing JSR-88 ... success.
Testing JSR-88-LOCAL ... success.
Testing JNDI ... success.
Testing JSR-160 Edit ... success.
Testing HTTP ... success.
Testing Server MBeans Model ... success.
8 of 8 tests successful. What could be causing this behavior?By default when you install SOA ,the SSL ports are enabled.
You can check the same in your weblogic admin console.
Go to general page and you can see there ssl port is selected or not.
If you have SSL enabled in weblogic console,by default when ever you will try to deploy your process to server it will take https.
Just try to disable the ssl port from weblogic console and now try to deploy you will find the server address as http
Now coming back to your problem "using ssl"
If you want to use SSL to deploy your process in a server then you need to import the certificate of the server(the server which is SSL enabled and where you want
to deploy your process) then you need to import the certificate in to the keystore of Jdveloper.
Jdeveloper KeyStore can be found in <JDEV_HOME>\jdk\jre\lib\security\cacerts
Using following command import the certificate you saved from firefox:
i.e: keytool -import -v -trustcacerts -alias servercert -file certificate.crt -keystore $JDEV_HOME/jdk/jre/lib/security/cacerts -storepass changeit
Now restart your jdeveloper and try to deploy
