Which BIOS shall I use for " K8T Neo -FSR"??

I bought a MSI K8T Neo- FSR board yesterday. But when I looked at the MSI web site I haven't seen ...FSR board, I only see ...FS2R board instead. So which BIOS shall I download and flash? There is also no any explanation about FSR. My board carries the BIOS V1.1. On the other hand it writes this informatin on the board; " K8t Neo 6702 rev. 1.0"

...here's the product page...I found it the other day but I can't remember how ...got lucky, I guess...
...BIOS version?..I've always used Live Update in Windows...just follow the directions to the letter...there are beta versions available in the forums...the current one is getting good reviews...

K8T NEO FSR bad bios or bad CPU?

Hi - I just got a K8T NEO-FSR with an Athlon 64 3000 (newcastle) and 512 Meg of Corsair value select memory. I installed everything fine and tried to install a fresh copy of windows xp home but I kept getting a blue screen of death and a registry error (from the CD!!).
I then reformatted my drive and put a copy of windows 2000 pro on it. After updating the drivers, everything seemed to be OK. But - I was getting a few random problems (CD stopped working, freeze, etc). I was going to try to install XP but I thought I should probably upgrade the BIOS first just to make sure that wasn't the problem.
Well - I followed the instructions for updating the BIOS (I've done it before for other systems) and everything seemed to go smoothly until I tried to reboot. Nothing - it powers up but doesn't do anything. I assumed that something must be wrong with the BIOS. I double checked which file I was using A6702VMS.180.
I then tried a BIOS recovery. I reformatted a floppy on a windows XP machine and put a copy of the BIOS that I had backed up before the flash onto the disk named AMIBIOS.ROM. Then I unplugged the power supply and every piece of hardware except the CPU, reset the CMOS, and let it sit for 15 minutes. Then I reconnected the floppy and plugged in a PS2 keyboard into the back. Pushed down CTRL and HOME and turned the power on. Nothing. Tried it again with each CTRL key and with the regular HOME key and the keypad. Nothing.
The LED's on the back panel show all 4 red which the manual says is a bad CPU. Could my CPU have died somehow? Did I miss something obvious?
My power supply is an Enermax 350W with 32A on 3.3V, 32A on 5V, and 17A on 12V.
Any thoughts? I'm a little annoyed that I can't find a definitive source for how many amps on each of the rails the main board and CPU need. I've found widely varying advice on all of the boards I've read.

which gives me about 132W on the 12V rail at maximum power usage (which - since I haven't done anything I doubt I've hit). This would be about 11 amps which is easily covered by my power supply. And - the 89W number form AMD is for all the Athlon64 chips of which the 3000 is the very low end so it's probably less than that.

Could the RAM be faulty even though I had a windows 2000 setup running reasonably well? The BIOS did do a memory check on each startup (I turned that on when I first installed the board).

I don't think this board supports reflashing - the chip is soldered onto the board. Any idea why the rescue procedure isn't working?

Blue screens have nothing to do with the Bios update. Those are trypically symptopmatic of other issues like low amps on the 12v rail for the devices you use or memopry issues and that like. Start by testing memory with memtest86+ as it is one of the likelyest suspects. Also post how many amps are on the 12v rail base on the lable on the PSU.
As for contacting MSI directly about when a Bios update is coming won'y get an answer but you are welcomed to contact them at support.msi.com.tw if you like.

I am trying to find out how to change the ht link in my bios. I know it is a dinosaur as far as boards go but I'm in a contest and just trying to play around with it. I don't have a setting named HT link like on my 939 board and I'm trying to find out if it is named something else in this particular bios. Can anyone help me out here? Check out the HT on Cpu-z in the screenshot. I was thinking that cant be right but I double checked and it was I guess I got lucky with the HT being that high.

I have not run into this yet with my AA9 and Win7, but have been seeing posts about it. I would try a repair before I would do an uninstall and reinstall. You might also turn off javascript for a bit in case there has been some javascript that has caused problems (ok, making wild guesses). If you do decide to uninstall, be sure to deactivate first, uninstall, run http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html, and remove any left over parts of the Acrobat folder. Then proceed to the reinstall and updates.
There is a question about whether being able to use it is correct, or you are just getting some message that is a spam that somehow got into your system (again, a possible javascript issue). Besides turning off javascript, you could also try isolating the javascripts to moving them to a temporary directory and seeing if one is causing the problem.

Does Elements need to have access to ‘My Pictures’ on Windows as when I remove Photos from ‘My Pictures’, Elements later, when backing up, gives a message that it is unable to ‘reconnect’ to the same picture on elements. On other occasions when removing a photo from Elements catalogue I also get a similar message when backing up saying ‘unable to reconnect’. 1. Is there a relationship between Elements and My Pictures and is Elements dependant on the Windows ‘My Pictures’? 2. Why does some photos in Elements in some cases cause them to multiply e.g. double; triple; quadruple; and on occasions even more? My O/S is Windows XP SP2 and windows Vista on my Laptop. I have been using Elements 5 and have just purchased Photoshop Elements 8.0. (Upgrade) and about to install it. The organizer doesn't care where you send your photos when you download them via the downloader or where they happen to be when you first bring them in if you use the Get Photos command, but once your pics are in the Organizer, you *must* move them from within organizer or it can't find them. You don't have to use My Pictures at all if you don't want to, but regardless of the folder where you put your photos, if you want them someplace else, you use organizer to do it.
