Which Trans Union score is more accurate - Credit karma or my fico?

Credit Karma lists my updated TU score at 644 (uses fico 04? or some other scoring model?)My fico report list my updated TU score at 666 (uses fico 08?)And report from TU own webpage lists my score at 724 (which I believe is the vantage score) Which one do you think would be the most accurate?  I know my lender pulled score will be lower so not sure if I should ask him to pull yet or not as I have to be at least 620 on his pull and the end of August pull was only 613 I am good to go on EQ and EX so only waiting for TU to come up before I ask him to do the tri merge pull again.thanks

I just applied to DCU.  I only have a few weeks till my mortgage process starts up full force... so hoping I can get through their estimator quickly. Equifax, for me, is a mess.... SAME information as on my other reports, however my score is seriously like 30 points lower.  It's my lowest of the 3, so I at this point it will get tossed out, so buying EQ Beacon is a waste of money   Experian was my highest at my last pull, and is my highest (by about 30 points) on myFICO.  Not worried about that one... the wild card for me is TU.  That was my second-highest score in July... and the one that'll determine where my rate will land... so that's why I need TU 04...  It's a silly game... and I wish they would bring back TU 04 on here... I'd be willing to PAY for THAT one, as the one on here now is useless.Grin, I told them that with a lot harsher language but it didn't go anywhere.   Re: Beacon 5.0 - actually I'd love to get my lowest score (and it probably is of the three in my case) as that way I know at a floor for what I'm looking at rate/downpayment wise.I'm in the same boat! I just figured that out tonight. How far off is the score on TransUnion's website if you pull it? From the Mortgage TU Classic 04. Either way, I think TU may have bumped up into my 2nd position!

  • Does FICO Score matter more than Credit Problems?

As some of you may know I've been looking to trade-in my six month old Hyundai Accent. My pulled score (FICO Experian Auto 8) is now 649. It will go back up once new credit card balances are reported, right now it's 96%, it will be down to 8-9% by the middle of the month.  I still have one charge-off ($434), one open collection ($407) and a repo (that isn't true but whatever) from 2009. I also have some school loan lates from 2009; but nobody has mentioned that being a problem. One dealer in particular believed that the repo was serious despite it being almost seven years ago and had me write a note to the underwriter explaining what happen. I didn't even have to do this when I bought the Hyundai, I find this bizarre and possibly racial motivated.   I based that on some recent articles and also on Honda's recent fine of $25 Million for predatory lending practices on women and minorities.  Whenever I am face to face with a dealer negotiations start at MSRP. One dealer in-fact begged me to come to his store and he would sell to me way under invoice. When I got there, he claimed to have a problem with his system and could only pull TU which is my second highest score at 589. He demaned I pay MSRP for the car and to put $3,000 down as he couldn't push it through Ford he would have to use CPS or something.  This is on the back of when I bought the Hyundai I was initally told I would be approved by Hyundai but then was told I was approved only by Gateway One, when it turns out Hyundai would have accepted the deal if I could verify some information as I've had problems with my TU (listed as deceased).  I was hoping to take advantage of Hyundai's 90 days no payment (yes I know you still pay interest...) which would have allowed me to start my emergency fund for one thing.  I am almost out of this hole, my repo drops off in July 2016 and I will try to get it to come off sooner sometime after the first of the year. I could also offer First Premier PFD but I heard that it won't be accepted. Midland says it won't PFD when it has for some people.  So basically I am at where I am at. My score will continue to improve as I keep utilization down and keep paying on-time.   Will having a 670 Fico (660 Fico Auto 8) matter more in credit decisions than old negative information? Experian will get there first, I don't know whats holding back TU and EQ, there's less information on there, especially EQ but lower scores.

What interest rate are you paying now? Have you just made the regular payments? If so, after 6 motnhs you're probably underwater on the loan. Auto loans are front loaded on interest, so you're not paying much to principal, especially at higher interest rates. In the meantime there is high depreciation in the first few months. That plus a repo doesn't make you very attractive to lenders.  Additionally, there are tiers for lending. I was just approved For a 26K loan sign and drive. At 29K Ford Motor Credit got nervous and wanted me to start putting money down. So I just stuck with 26K because I didn't want to (1.9 on 60 months). Also the car payment is documented less than 10% of my take home. I've never had a car loan where they didn't ask for some kind of proof of income by the way, the fact that Hyundai didn't is not the norm in the industry. Additionally, Ford Motor Credit pulled EX only for me so those are the scores you need to look at. Since the repo have you had a fully paid off auto loan? Not paid off from a trade-in. That matters more than the repo, because banks are only concerned with getting their money + the interest they loaned you at, or a significant portion.  Do you have a down payment? If they try to roll ANY of your Hyundai into a new loan your Loan To Value ratio will be shot, and don't forget on a more expensive car taxes are higher, and that is not part of your value either, just loan. Once you get to 100% and over LTV, they look for more solid credit profiles.  Point being, it's pretty complex, repos really mess that up (I know from experience). Just wait until it's gone, it will change the game,   Current interest rate is 18.65%  I've made all the payments on-time, of course I am under water. but.... Because my plates/fees and sales tax were not rolled into the loan like it typically is, I owe less than most people do in a similar situation. If I get fair market value for the car, it owe just over $3,000 of negative balance.  Nobody asked for income verification accept on the credit app I did online; I didn't submit pay stubs or anything else.  I know there are tiers to lending, reportedly I was Tier 4 asking for $30,000+. Whenever I asked what sort of downpayment they wanted, one dealer said about $6,000; DING, DING, DING, DING! Further investigation the same dealer said about $26,000 OTD.  So now we're in his life or death struggle -
I want highest trade value and the lowest price. Most dealers just won't walk the plank for that; maybe if I catch a few at the end of the month as they aren't meeting sales targets, it's possible they'll take that lost but most of the time....  I got a letter from Ford Credit late last week, they denied me but didn't say why. This was interesting, so I called Ford Credit today and they are going to send me a letter stating why. The lady on the phone said usually these types of denials are conditional, IE the deal needs to be constructed a certain way, down or less money/less car, etc. This further cements that Ford feels most comfortable at $26,000.
Any more than that I have to start putting down money. I am trying to avoid that for various reasons. I know Ford pulls EX which happens to me my highest score, it peaked at 657 (Auto 8 654) at the start of his mess which is a bit complicated. Above I mentioned I wasn't charged taxes or license fees up front. I paid those later, in fact I spent the last month paying those ($1878) including a smog test.  So while most of you pay over time. I paid mine up front....  The byproduct of that was constantly using my credit cards, they are all maxed out now. I will spend the rest of August paying those down to 8-9% not a big deal.  My current LTV is 89%.... I have checked LTV at various times, its under 100%. My payment is about 22% of income and I can easily afford it even with the elevated interest rate.  I don't mind rolling the negative I have other things I wanna do with my cash. I've done the math, I can get what I want and still have roughly the same payment.  WIth all the incentives I can get, even the optional ones, it's knocking another $2,500 off the price and that's if I don't take Ford financing. if I do, that's an additional $750 for $3250  When my credit cards update and depending on what that Ford Credit letter says will determine what and when I try this again. I can really use the 90 day payment delay they are offering right now.
My EX Score should hit 660-670 with ease with the balances below 9%   Waiting until it's gone (Repo) won't make much difference, no changes for the 2016 except Sync 3 and Google Auto. The updates come for the '15 model year (suspension tweaks, electric power steering tweaks and minor sheet metal changes with new tail lights). I also won't spend much more than what's being bandied about now.

  • Which BIOS does provide the more accurate temp reads?

My board is in the sig, and i am talking about the differences between the 1.9 and the 2.4 version here. The difference for the CPU temps is exactly 5 degrees celcius, and 4 degrees for the system temps.
    1.9 readings:
    CPU: 36°C idle - 61°C full load
    System: 34°C
    2.4 readings:
    CPU: 31°C idle - 56°C full load
    System: 38°C
Now, which readings can i trust more?

Any info about the New Bios 2.5 , and the temps ?
They say that it has more fixes about temps !!
The point is that the 2.3 & 2.4 did the job all ready , what this does extra?
I will test it soon , i just download it

  • Transunion & Equifax Credit Scores Dropped more than 20 pts!!!

I check my husbands credit score once a week (Credit Karma updates weekly).  His scores have been between 525 and 540 on both with Transunion being the highest.  For the past 2 weeks they have gone down!  Equifax is now 499 and Transunion is 468!!
There's nothing new that I can see, does anyone know the reason this can happen??  He has a few collections, nothing new was added.  The collection agencies report monthly. PRA only reported to Transunion for June!
    Thanks

CK is basically worthless when it comes to gaining an 'accurate' overall snapshot of your credit profile and score. It always shows that one of my new auto loans has been deleted from the report, yet all of my credit reports (including CK report) show it is still there. My TU FICO8 is 757, no baddies at all, and yet CK shows my score to be 617 (no baddies, everything exactly as the TU site and MyFico reports). Also, I almost didn't apply for a LOWEs card because it showed that I had a poor chance of being approved.  I did it anyway and have a $10K SL. It's great for notifications, I get them almost immediately and it's great to review and if anything seems inaccurate, you can pull the actual report, but other wise, Ck is for entertainment, IMHO

  • Which color profile is more accurate?

Hi! I recently got a MacBook Pro with Lion and I noticed that the default color profile is Color LCD (which seems a bit too warm to me), and there's also the option to change to Adobe RGB (which is more bluish) or two other RGB profiles. Which one is more accurate? This is really important for me because I work in Photoshop and I would like to ensure that what I see on my monitor is what most people see on theirs and also that my images are going to be printed with colors as close as possible to the ones I see.

There are systems to calibrate monitors for color rendition. I would suggest you try one of those to create a custom profile for your MBP screen. If you are doing photography for pay this something you should have.
Personally I don't find my screen to warm and I do all my main image editing on a desktop system with 2 monitors and the one that holds the image, tools on the other monitor, is calibrated with one of these systems.
And then my Printer is calibrated to match my screen.

  • Which event time capture method is more accurate?

    Hello
I am trying to capture a time stamp of some sorts whenever the DAQ receives a pulse, I have two methods (attached) which are giving slightly different times. One method is using the "get time stamp" function while the other is using the "Tick Clock". The format of the time stamp does not matter too much but the accuracy does, so I am wondering which one is more accurate. Also, this VI will most likely be utilized on a real time system (Labview RT) if one VI or the other cannot be used in real time then that would take precedent over the accuracy.
    Thank you

Timing accuracy is not very good with either method. The Timestamp uses the computer's time of day clock.  If you were using computers before time servers became available, you may recall that computer clocks drifted seconds per day or more.  Over the long term (weeks to years) the timestamp will be, on average, more accurate because of the continual resetting by the time servers. However you may see jumps due to those resets.
The Tick count is derived from an internal oscillator in the computer.  Because the computer is more concerned about synchronizing logic across the CPU (and peripheral chips) thatn timing accuracy, these oscillators are neither highly stable nor accurate.
The oscillator in your DAQ device is almost certainly more stable and probably more accurate than either of the internal clocks available.
Get the signal from the DAQ as a waveform and use the t0 time from that. Short of setting up your own atomic clock or GPS derived clock, that it probably the best you can do.  It also is most closely linked to the acquisition as opposed to the timt the data is read from the DAQ device.

  • Apparently Credit Karma isn't accurate at all, huh

So I bought a one-time equifax report/score directly from Equifax and then compared the numbers to Credit Karma. While the reported balances and all of that are the same, my "real" credit score from the direct pull from Equifax is 50 points lower than what CK reports...**bleep**?! Well, guess that makes CK basically worthless.  With that being said, I am looking for a 3 credit score/report monitoring service which I can somewhat rely on to be accurate month to month. I realize that this site has some products, but $350 a year seems a little excessive, especially only to get quartley reports. Are there any more affordable sites out there where I can watch all 3 of the big boys for a better price (and month to month)?

They only make money off CC recommendations and advertising. I'm quite sure that the reason free sites like CK don't give accurate scores is because they can't, because they don't have access to the algorithms that generates a FICO score. Accessing the true FICO algorithms likely costs money, and that cost gets passed on to the consumer if they want to see their true FICO scores. Right, also it's not the CK is inaccurate, it almost certainly is accurate at producing the score that it claims to be using, Vantage Score 3.0.    The problem comes in that few if any of the issuers use that in a major way.    But if I look at a report pulled from here, focusing on EQ: FIC0 845 (This is the 08 score)FICO: 800 (Score 5, for mortgages)   OMG, FICO is inaccurate by 45 points!   (If I relied on the 08 while mortgage shopping) FICO: 847( /900) Auto score 8FICO 817(/900)  Auto score 5  FICO 873 (/900) Bankcard 8FICO 807 (/900) Bankcard 5   So 67 points different! At least now this site shows you those scores, but if you don't know what score an issuer users, you can get as big as a surprise as with CK

  • Which media server protocols enable frame accurate seeking and frame stepping in players?

    Hi,
... and thank you in advance for taking the time to respond. I am evaluating different protocls for different client platforms, and I'd like to know the following...
Which media server protocols enable frame accurate seeking and frame stepping in players? (It appears that RTMP does. However, what about HDS? What about HLS?)
Why is it that some do and some don't? (Intuitively, this would seem to be more an issue of the player than the protocol, but then maybe it has something to do with the buffers and the specific information passed to the client.)
For those protocols that do support frame accurate seeking and frame stepping in players, does the addition of Access DRM protection have any effect? (Intuitively, I would say no, but then maybe there are configuration changes needed in AMS to make it work.)
    Thanks!

I searched for a DVD player with a jog shuttle -- and you're right. They're all but impossible to find! I havent' found one made in the past 5 years!
I don't know of any way you could accomplish the same thing with software either.
Most DVD players have slow-motion and frame-by-frame features. (Even my cheap $40 Toshiba.) That may be the closest to it.

  • More accurate weather widget?

Can anyone recommend a more accurate weather widget than the default Apple one? I don't need a ton of information, just something which at least maybe divides the day into a.m. and p.m. (so that if you see a rain cloud you don't think it's going to rain all day for example), plus better accuracy, if that's possible to get (seems like it should be).

    This one?

  • More Accurate antialiasing preventing rendering of multiple frames simultaneously after a while

    Hi all.
I am experiencing inconsistent memory management behavior when rendering my project in AE that prevents me from rendering multiple frames at the same time when some footage items use Accurate antialiasing.
I have an 8-core i7 MacBook Pro with 8GB of RAM and I'm using AE CS5.5. I am rendering a project with many imported Illustrator layers to keep things nice and crisp. These are in a 3D composition with a camera, DOF, and they are being continuously rasterized. On some of the vector assets I have to set the antialiasing setting to "More Accurate" in the Interpret Footage dialog to remedy some image quality issues. Here is what I noticed when rendering:
    1. When the antialiasing setting on all Illustrator assets is set to "Faster" the composition renders without issues.
    2. I change the antialiasing setting on some Illustrator assets to "More Accurate" to improve image quality. Render Multiple Frames Simultaneously is off. Composition renders for a while, but eventually I get an error: "after effects error : cannot allocate enough memory to antialias file (50:5)”.
    3. To get around the error I instruct AE to empty the cache every 5 frames or less via the Secret menu in the Prefs. This prevents the error from occuring and I can see the RAM being deallocated every once in a while as expected. This lets me render with the quality I need, but is slower.
    4. To speed things up I turn on Render Multiple Frames Simultaneously. I use conservative settings: AE is to use only two cores with 3GB of RAM per core (max allowed). The rendering is sped up. However, I can see that the system's "in use" RAM is steadily increasing with each rendered frame until the computer runs out, at which point AE automatically turns off Render Multiple Frames Simultaneously and starts to render one frame at a time. This doesn't happen whe all vector assets are set to use Faster antialiasing an I can render indefinitely with Render Multiple Frames Simultaneously, but this way I don't get the desired quality. Please note that there is enough RAM for the cores to render several frames, but it seems as if having rendered a frame the system doesn't release or reuse the memory when assets use Accurate antialiasing and goes to use another chunk until there is no more.
Also, I am outputing to an image sequence.
Please help me find a workaround for this issue. Thanks!

Thanks Mylenium. It looks like the underlying problem (cannot allocate enough memory to antialias file (50:5)) has been around for quite some time. I've tried all manner of different combinations of settings and in the end settled on having it render one frame at a time with dumping cache every 2 frames (hey, at least it renders without running out of ram and erroring out). It's just disheartening to know that due to this issue (bug or architecture) AE is only using a bit more than 1/8 of my machine's CPU power. Perhaps AE should have a feature that has it dump all the memory and attempt multi-frame output again every once in a while during make movie.

  • Is motherboard monitor 5 more accurate?.

Well in my bios my msi k8t neo-fis2r reports 58c, and core centre also said 58c idle.
I couldnt belive this was true, i installed mbm5 and it says 48c idle and case 37c.. i think it could be right, is mbm5 better at reading the temps?.

some say mbm5 is more accurate but, they are all getting the info from same source, there are diodes burried in cpu, hd,s nb video cards etc they give the readout,...that said there should be no difference from each but there is,
my case has a tempo sensor that is on the heat sink, which isnt the cpu but is close enough
i am happy with core cells reports, and the diode on my ati xt...
and i only had to melt one candle.....lol
Just a quick note folks.  Sensors on the motherboard do not *know* their calibration.
Every sensor package has different scaling and calibration when it comes to converting voltages to temperatures (for thermocouples or thermistors).  The differences come from different SOFTWARE interpretations.
This being said, AMI BIOS is terrible for motherboard sensors as it only allows a scaling factor with no allowance for a resistance at the junctions; I cannot speak for core cell except for suggesting that it simply queries the bios register and reports that temp.
mbm (lmsensors, any good sensors package for your OS flavour) will generally read the voltage directly from the sensor and, assuming enough folks test actual temperatures with a 3rd, calibrated, device and then adjust mbm (or whatever) accordingly (and actually report this back to the makers), then said software will be more accurate.
This being said, my own tests of mbm show it to correlate quite well with the temperature on top of the die (amd64 3200+ on MSI k8t neo fsir2) as measured with a calibrated thermal probe (dont ask *WHY* I do things like this, just accept that I am an incureable tinkerer); and although every motherboard is subtly different, this will add up to an error of 1~3K which is unlikely to bother most of us.  Summary, whilst sensors are more or less equal, the means of converting the sensors voltage into output varies and herein lies the differences in their results.
    err!

    HI,
APART FROM GLEN WILLIAMS CAN ANYONE TELL ME MORE OF CREDIT MANAGEMENT & BILLING ?
    RAJARSHI

    Hi,
    Notes on Credit mangement
    SAP SD Credit Management
All business have their own credit management needs, SAP allows you to specify your own automatic credit checks based on a variety of criteria. You can also specify at which critical points in the sales and distribution cycle the system carries out these checks.
    SM30 - Table/View
    V_TVTW - Define Distribution Channel
V_TVTA_KKB - Assign sales area to credit control area
V_T014 - FI - Define Credit Control Area
T001CM - FI - Assign Permitted Credit Control Area to company code
OVXG - Set up Sales Areas
    e.g. Sales Organization
    Distribution Channel
    Division
    Distribution Channel
    Division
    FD32 - Customer Credit Management
OVAK - Define credit limit check by sales document type
    Check Credit
A - Credit limit check and warning message
B - Credit limit check and error message (no sales order can be created)
C - Credit limit check and delivery block (block delivery if hit credit limit)
Options B and C -> used for checking open order values (when you create/change the sales order)
D - Automatic credit control with open order values
More control in transaction OVA8 - Automatic credit control
You check for open orders and deliveries, or just open deliveries.
or open order values with other options
    Credit group
Allows you to combine different sales document types for the credit limit check
VKM1 - Blocked SD Documents - Finance have to released the delivery block
OVAD - Define credit limit check by delivery order
whether the automatic credit check occurs at the time of delivery creation and/or goods issue
OVA7 - Define credit limit check by item category
Set whether to include/exclude item category for credit limit check
OVA6 - Define credit group. You can groups together different business transactions which should be dealt with in the same manner with regard to the credit check.
You enter the credit groups when you configure the sales document types for credit management and define the (D - automatic credit check).
    SAP default credit groups
01 - credit group for sales order
02 - credit group for delivery
03 - credit group for goods issue
OVA8 - Automatic credit control - Double click on the line items
You can have the followings credit limit check :-
    Static
Depends on the customer total value of open orders, deliveries, billing documents and open items.
    Open items
    No of days open
Overdue open items checks is based on the ratio of open items that are overdue by a certain number of days.
    Max open items %
The customer balance must not exceed a certain percentage.
    Oldest open items
If you don't want to deliver to the customer at all when even only 1 invoice is overdue.
Tick the Check for Oldest Open Item and Set the field Days oldest item = 1.
    Days oldest item
No of days allowed for overdue or payment terms.
Use of the credit check Oldest Open Item. If a user attempts to alter the order quantity of a released sales document
that was previously blocked, it would be reblocked again by the system. The system only reblocks the sales document if the new order quantity is above a certain % amount.
    Released documents are still unchecked
The preset % is whatever you want to set it as when configuring your automatic credit processing. You enter a deviation % and number of days,eg, you can set it so that an order can be changed by up to 10% within 30 days of original order entry date without it going back on credit block.
    Next Review Date
If a customer has a credit limit of 1000 USD, and you would like to restrict this credit limit only to be available in current month (say March). If the document day is in April then the credit limit is zero.
You can use the "NextReview date" and "Number of days" fields and combined it with the "Last int.review" field in customer credit master "Status" view (FD32).
VOKR - Display of work list for credit management (configure the display variant)
    Reward points if it helpful

I can't play it on more accurate (full quality video) mode because it plays at 23.9 fps. What can i do to play one sequence at full quality mode at 25fps?
