Who use sql-mapping with java.util.regex?

Hi everyone:
I use the IBatis SQL-Mapping and I think it is very good.Now I want to add the search function to my BBS forum.I also want to display the content high light like jive.I mean that if I want to find the string "ibatis",then the search result "ibatis" will be high light displayed.
So I must use the java.util.regex in jsdk1.4.But the problem is that what I get is a List if I use sql-mapping.For example:
          String resource="conf/XML/sql/lyo-sql-map.xml";
          Reader reader=Resources.getResourceAsReader(resource);
          sqlmap=XmlSqlMapBuilder.buildSqlMap(reader);
          List articlelist=sqlmap.executeQueryForList("selectSiteArticle","%"+icontent+"%");
The result I get is a List and I have no time to use regex.
I don't know whether I could do this:
Iterate the List,use the regex and later place all the object back to the List.
It's right?
How to use regex with sql-mapping?Thks

Any idea? :(

  • Parsing xhtml using java.util.regex

    I am parsing an XHTML file using the java.util.regex package and I am perplexed at why the following doesnt work.
    The lines I wish to match are either like this:
    <span class="someclass"><b>Some String.</b></span></td>
    or
    Some String.</td>
    The code I use to try to achieve this is:
    Pattern somePattern = Pattern.compile(".*(<span class=\"someclass\"><b>)?(.*)[.](</b></span>)?</td>.*");
    String s = null;
    while((s = br.readLine()) != null) {
    if(somePattern.matcher(s).matches()) {
    System.out.println("0:" + eventMatcher.group(0));
    System.out.println("1:" + eventMatcher.group(1));
    System.out.println("2:" + eventMatcher.group(2));
    System.out.println("3:" + eventMatcher.group(3));
    I expect to get as output
    0:<span class="someclass"><b>Some String.</b></span></td> 1:<span class="someclass"><b>
    2:Some String
    3:</b></span>
    or
    0:Some String.</td>
    1:null
    2:Some String
    3:null
    depending on which lines provide the match as mentioned above. Instead I get:
    0:<span class="someclass"><b>Some String.</b></span></td>
    1:null
    2:(empty string)
    3:</b></span>
    or
    0:Some String.</td>
    1:null
    2:(empty string)
    3:null
    Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

    Consider the terms of ".*(<span class=\"someclass\"><b>)?(.*)[.](</b></span>)?</td>.*"
    .* - greedily collect characters
    (<span class=\"someclass\"><b>)? - optionallly collect information taht will always be matched by the previous .* pattern so will be empty.
    (.*) - greedily collect characters that will also have been swallowed by the first .* so will be empty
    [.] - a single .
    (</b></span>)? - optionally collection
    </td> - must be there
    .* - collect the rest of the charcters in the line.
    Therefore in general groups 1 and 2 will be empty because the first .* will have collected the information you wanted to capture!
    You could just make the first .* non-greedy by using .*? but this may fail for other reasons.
    So, in general terms, what are you trying to extract?

  • Please help on java.util.regex.*

    Hi all,
    My RTF file looks like this:
    Project Num\tab N/A
    \par Project Name\tab Hook-up Installation and Service
    \par
    My intension is to read the file until the \tab and store Project Num as a string into a
    variable. Similarly read until \par and store the value of Project Num into another variable.
    So that i can use those variables further in my program.
    I used java.util.regex.* package for this purpose. I could successfully split the sentence whenever it sees \tab and \par but don't know how to get the text before and after the delimeters and store them into variables.
    The code which i wrote is:
    import java.util.regex.*;
    import java.io.*;
    import java.nio.*;
    import java.nio.charset.*;
    import java.nio.channels.*;
    public class RegexDemo{
    public static void main(String[] args){
    // Create a pattern to match breaks
    Pattern p = Pattern.compile("\\\\.[a-z][a-z]",Pattern.DOTALL);
    try{
    File file = new File("sample.rtf");
    FileInputStream fis = new FileInputStream(file);
    FileChannel fc = fis.getChannel();
    // Get a CharBuffer from the source file
    ByteBuffer bb = fc.map(FileChannel.MapMode.READ_ONLY, 0, (int)fc.size());
    Charset cs = Charset.forName("8859_1");
    CharsetDecoder cd = cs.newDecoder();
    CharBuffer cb = cd.decode(bb);
    // Run some matches
    Matcher m = p.matcher(cb);
    while (m.find())
    System.out.println("Found comment: "+m.group());
    }catch(Exception e){
         e.printStackTrace();
    Please somebody help me in this regard. I have spent lot of time searching the forums but couldn't find any solution.
    Thanks in advance
    rnallu

    Just put target inside parenthesis with delimiters at boundaries.
    Example: "(\\w+)\\t(\\d)\\s" will match occurrences of a word followed with a tab char then a digit followed with a whitespace. If target string matches pattern then m.group(1) contains the word and m.group(2) contains the digit.

  • Java.sql.Date vs java.util.Date vs. java.util.Calendar

    All I want to do is create a java.sql.Date subclass which has the Date(String) constructor, some checks for values and a few other additional methods and that avoids deprecation warnings/errors.
    I am trying to write a wrapper for the java.sql.Date class that would allow a user to create a Date object using the methods:
    Date date1 = new Date(2003, 10, 7);ORDate date2 = new Date("2003-10-07");I am creating classes that mimic MySQL (and eventually other databases) column types in order to allow for data checking since MySQL does not force checks or throw errors as, say, Oracle can be set up to do. All the types EXCEPT the Date, Datetime, Timestamp and Time types for MySQL map nicely to and from java.sql.* objects through wrappers of one sort or another.
    Unfortunately, java.sql.Date, java.sql.Timestamp, java.sql.Time are not so friendly and very confusing.
    One of my problems is that new java.sql.Date(int,int,int); and new java.util.Date(int,int,int); are both deprecated, so if I use them, I get deprecation warnings (errors) on compile.
    Example:
    public class Date extends java.sql.Date implements RangedColumn {
      public static final String RANGE = "FROM '1000-01-01' to '8099-12-31'";
      public static final String TYPE = "DATE";
       * Minimum date allowed by <strong>MySQL</strong>. NOTE: This is a MySQL
       * limitation. Java allows dates from '0000-01-01' while MySQL only supports
       * dates from '1000-01-01'.
      public static final Date MIN_DATE = new Date(1000 + 1900,1,1);
       * Maximum date allowed by <strong>Java</strong>. NOTE: This is a Java limitation, not a MySQL
       * limitation. MySQL allows dates up to '9999-12-31' while Java only supports
       * dates to '8099-12-31'.
      public static final Date MAX_DATE = new Date(8099 + 1900,12,31);
      protected int _precision = 0;
      private java.sql.Date _date = null;
      public Date(int year, int month, int date) {
        // Deprecated, so I get deprecation warnings from the next line:
        super(year,month,date);
        if(! isWithinRange(this))
          throw new ValueOutOfRangeException((RangedColumn)this, "" + this);
      public Date(String s) {
        super(0l);
        // Start Cut-and-paste from java.sql.Date.valueOf(String s)
        int year;
        int month;
        int day;
        int firstDash;
        int secondDash;
        if (s == null) throw new java.lang.IllegalArgumentException();
        firstDash = s.indexOf('-');
        secondDash = s.indexOf('-', firstDash+1);
        if ((firstDash > 0) & (secondDash > 0) & (secondDash < s.length()-1)) {
          year = Integer.parseInt(s.substring(0, firstDash)) - 1900;
          month = Integer.parseInt(s.substring(firstDash+1, secondDash)) - 1;
          day = Integer.parseInt(s.substring(secondDash+1));
        } else {
          throw new java.lang.IllegalArgumentException();
        // End Cut-and-paste from java.sql.Date.valueOf(String s)
        // Next three lines are deprecated, causing warnings.
        this.setYear(year);
        this.setMonth(month);
        this.setDate(day);
        if(! isWithinRange(this))
          throw new ValueOutOfRangeException((RangedColumn)this, "" + this);
      public static boolean isWithinRange(Date date) {
        if(date.before(MIN_DATE))
          return false;
        if(date.after(MAX_DATE))
          return false;
        return true;
      public String getRange() { return RANGE; }
      public int getPrecision() { return _precision; }
      public String getType() { return TYPE; }
    }This works well, but it's deprecated. I don't see how I can use a java.util.Calendar object in stead without either essentially re-writing java.sql.Date almost entirely or losing the ability to be able to use java.sql.PreparedStatement.get[set]Date(int pos, java.sql.Date date);
    So at this point, I am at a loss.
    The deprecation documentation for constructor new Date(int,int,int)says "instead use the constructor Date(long date)", which I can't do unless I do a bunch of expensive String -> [Calendar/Date] -> Milliseconds conversions, and then I can't use "super()", so I'm back to re-writing the class again.
    I can't use setters like java.sql.Date.setYear(int) or java.util.setMonth(int) because they are deprecated too: "replaced by Calendar.set(Calendar.DAY_OF_MONTH, int date)". Well GREAT, I can't go from a Date object to a Calendar object, so how am I supposed to use the "Calendar.set(...)" method!?!? From where I'm sitting, this whole Date deprecation thing seems like a step backward not forward, especially in the java.sql.* realm.
    To prove my point, the non-deprecated method java.sql.Date.valueOf(String) USES the DEPRECATED constructor java.util.Date(int,int,int).
    So, how do I create a java.sql.Date subclass which has the Date(String) constructor that avoids deprecation warnings/errors?
    That's all I really want.
    HELP!

    I appreciate your help, but what I was hoping to accomplish was to have two constructors for my java.sql.Date subclass, one that took (int,int,int) and one that took ("yyyy-MM-dd"). From what I gather from your answers, you don't think it's possible. I would have to have a static instantiator method like:public static java.sql.Date createDate (int year, int month, int date) { ... } OR public static java.sql.Date createDate (String dateString) { ... }Is that correct?
    If it is, I have to go back to the drawing board since it breaks my constructor paradigm for all of my 20 or so other MySQL column objects and, well, that's not acceptable, so I might just keep my deprecations for now.

  • Doubt in Regular Expressions : java.util.regex

    I want to identify words starting with capital letters in a sentence and I want to replace the matched word with "#" added in front of it.... For example, if my input sentence is
    "Christopher Williams asked Mike Muller a question"
    my output should be,
    "#Christopher #Williams asked #Mike #Muller a question"
    How do I do that using java.util.regex ?
    In perl we can can use *"back references"* in *"replacement string"* . Perl replacement accepts back references whereas java replacement method accepts only strings....
    Please help me.....

    Your replacement is swallowing the space before the uppercase character, and won't match at the beginning of the line.
    Also, it's unnecesarily verbose. String has a replaceAll method (that calls the same methods of Pattern and Matcher under the covers)sentence = s.replaceAll("(^| )([A-Z])", "$1#$2");Disclaimer: I'm no prome, sabre or u/a :-) That can probably be simplified.

    myString.replaceAll("D:\\\\web\\\\mars","")

    when I am trying to execute the scenario I am getting the successful message in SXMB_MONI but the target file is having the payload as given below.
    <?xml version ="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <name xmlns:javamap="java:com.company.group.MappingClass"/>
    And as per the XSLT mapping the payload should be as below
    <?xml version ="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <person>
    <name>Rinku Gangwani</name>
    </person>
    I have also followed the following blog link but still i am getting the same issue
    /people/pooja.pandey/blog/2005/06/27/xslt-mapping-with-java-enhancement-for-beginners
    could you please tell me what can be the reason that i am getting the blank targt field values in the payload.
    Thanks
    Rinku Gangwani

    Hi,
      The Transaction code XSLT_TOOL for ABAP xslt mapping.But the Java Enhancement is used for normal xslt mapping which we created using Stylus Studio.You can not access the Java Enhancement in ABAP xslt mapping.
    If you want to use Java Enhancement in xslt mapping then create a xslt mapping using Stylus Studio and save the file as .xsl and zip the .xsl and import to import archive.

  • XSLT Maps with Java enhancements - JCO_SYSTEM_FAILURE

    Hi,
    I have reviewed several postings regarding XSLT Maps with Java enhancements. I followed instructions and build a jar file and the XSLT document. I built one imported archive with the .jar and .xsl. For the class, The path get loaded properly.
    However, I still have a problem when and execute the interface.
    My xslt has the following information
    <xsl:transform version="1.0"
        xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform"
        xmlns:ns="http://xyz.abc.sap.def.com"
        xmlns:javamap="java:xyz.Date_Time">
    <xsl:param name="inputparam" />
        <xsl:template match="/">
            <test><xsl:value-of select="javamap:getDateValue($inputparam)"/></test>
        </xsl:template>
    </xsl:transform>
    In SXMB_Moni I get the following error...
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes" ?>
    - <!--  Request Message Mapping
      -->
    - <SAP:Error xmlns:SAP="http://sap.com/xi/XI/Message/30" xmlns:SOAP="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" SOAP:mustUnderstand="">
      <SAP:Category>XIServer</SAP:Category>
      <SAP:Code area="MAPPING">JCO_SYSTEM_FAILURE</SAP:Code>
      <SAP:P1>Exception in method processFunction.</SAP:P1>
      <SAP:P2 />
      <SAP:P3 />
      <SAP:P4 />
      <SAP:AdditionalText />
      <SAP:ApplicationFaultMessage namespace="" />
      <SAP:Stack>"SYSTEM FAILURE" during JCo call. Exception in method processFunction.</SAP:Stack>
      <SAP:Retry>A</SAP:Retry>
      </SAP:Error>
    If i remove the line
    <test><xsl:value-of select="javamap:getDateValue($inputparam)"/></test>
    The map ends successfuly.
    Comments would be appreciated.

    Sergio

    Stefan,
    Find the class and method definition below. The method is static and it returns the string.

  • Can't create log file with java.util.logging

    Hi,
    I have created a class to create a log file with java.util.logging
    This class works correctly as standalone (without jdev/weblogic)
    import java.io.IOException;
    import java.text.DateFormat;
    import java.text.SimpleDateFormat;
    import java.util.Date;
    import java.util.logging.*;
    public class LogDemo
         private static final Logger logger = Logger.getLogger( "Logging" );
         public static void main( String[] args ) throws IOException
             Date date = new Date();
             DateFormat dateFormat = new SimpleDateFormat("yyyyMMdd");
             String dateStr = dateFormat.format(date);
             String logFileName = dateStr + "SEC" + ".log";
             Handler fh;
             try
               fh = new FileHandler(logFileName);
               //fh.setFormatter(new XMLFormatter());
               fh.setFormatter(new SimpleFormatter());
               logger.addHandler(fh);
               logger.setLevel(Level.ALL);
               logger.log(Level.INFO, "Initialization log");
               // force a bug
               ((Object)null).toString();
             catch (IOException e)
                  logger.log( Level.WARNING, e.getMessage(), e );
             catch (Exception e)
                  logger.log( Level.WARNING, "Exception", e);
    }But when I use this class...
    import java.io.File;
    import java.io.IOException;
    import java.text.DateFormat;
    import java.text.SimpleDateFormat;
    import java.util.Date;
    import java.util.logging.FileHandler;
    import java.util.logging.Handler;
    import java.util.logging.Level;
    import java.util.logging.Logger;
    import java.util.logging.XMLFormatter;
    public class TraceUtils
      public static Logger logger = Logger.getLogger("log");
      public static void initLogger(String ApplicationName) {
        Date date = new Date();
        DateFormat dateFormat = new SimpleDateFormat("yyyyMMdd");
        String dateStr = dateFormat.format(date);
        String logFileName = dateStr + ApplicationName + ".log";
        Handler fh;
        try
          fh = new FileHandler(logFileName);
          fh.setFormatter(new XMLFormatter());
          logger.addHandler(fh);
          logger.setLevel(Level.ALL);
          logger.log(Level.INFO, "Initialization log");
        catch (IOException e)
          System.out.println(e.getMessage());
    }and I call it in a backingBean, I have the message in console but the log file is not created.
    TraceUtils.initLogger("SEC");why?
    Thanks for your help.

    I have uncommented this line in logging.properties and it works.
    # To also add the FileHandler, use the following line instead.
    handlers= java.util.logging.FileHandler, java.util.logging.ConsoleHandlerBut I have another problem:
    jdev ignore the parameters of the FileHandler method .
    And it creates a general log file with anothers log files created each time I call the method logp.
    So I play with these parameters
    fh = new FileHandler(logFileName,true);
    fh = new FileHandler(logFileName,0,1,true);
    fh = new FileHandler(logFileName,10000000,1,true);without succes.
    I want only one log file, how to do that?
