Why Actual Posting skips some employees

Hi,
I am facing a problem during simulation and actual posting run.
In simulation posting run system executes the exact employees while during actual posting system skips few employees regularly. Further more these employees have no master data problem.

Simulation run does not dates into account though it is there in the selection screen ..however in actual run the dates are taken into account ...also for posting the results need to be present in the cluster....if they are not here then those employees will be skipped.

GET PERNR skips some employees in the report

Hi all.
This is my first post in this forum. I'm beginner in ABAP programming and I've got a issue in my report that I don't succeed in solving it.
In the first line of the source code, within the start-of-selection event, I use the GET PERNR command to bring the employee personnel numbers. While I was debugging I've noted this command was skipping some employees. There isn't any line of code before the GET PERNR.
Do you have any ideia about what's happening?

here is another probably cause. The dates. It´s important that the employees,
are active in the infotype(I think that is Infotype 0), in the dates that check your program. It´s useful to know
the selection data period (pnpbegda/pnpendda), the employees selection data (pnpbegps/pnpendps), the radiobutton selection data (pn-begda/pn-endda), of the pnp logical d.b.selection screen. You can see the values of these fields debbuging Ah!, another point, start-of-selection & Get pernr, are differents events in the execution of an abap program.

Actual posting and standard cost

Dear All,
For tcode kb11n, kb15n, kb31n, kb21n, ksu5, ksv5, keu5, they are doing actual posting.
But when come to product cost, cogs, they are all based on standard cost.
May I know what is the relationship for the above where some are actual posting and some are based on standard.

You can use Actual Cositng mainly to process Mateial Ledger, the result of actual costing also can be transffer to profitability analysis in month-end to be cheked and be compared.

Some employees designations are not matching with their actual designation

Hi All,
While downloading to excel sheet some employees designations are not matching with their actual designations maintained in infotye 0001.
Designations should match with infotype 0001.
How to rectifty this issue.

Looks like you are dowloading the value from a field which does not contain the value you see in the infotype screen
In infotypr 0001 place your cursor in the designation field.
Press F1
See the name of the field & the table.
Have a look at the table using se16 and confirm what you see in the field is what you see in the infotype screen.
If it is same see in your code if you are using correct field.
If it is not the same trace in which table and field the value is stored and code your program to download from there.
Check in Tables HRP1000 and PA0001 and you should get your values

RoboHelp 7: RB skips some of my topics and won't make an HTML page

Hi,
I'm new to RB7 for word, but I have managed to successfully create and modify an online manual with RB7 for Word.
I'm now trying to create a second online manual, and RB7 skips two of my topics and won't produce their HTML pages. I have tried renaming the topics, deleting one and recreating it from scratch, renaming the topic ID, deleting the folder where the HTML pages would go, nothing seems to work.
Why would RB7 skip two of my topics? I have tried to find differences between these two topics and the others, and I can't find anything.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Actually, this question is my very first post to this forum, and I created my account only this afternoon
To answer your questions (and add more explanation of what I'm doing):
1) Oops on the RB for HTML. RoboHelp was already installed on the computer I got, and all I see is RoboHelp for Word. I don't see an option for RB for HTML. I'll ask the IT guy.
2) My Word documents are long. I'm importing the Word docs to RB to create the online help. My topics in RB are the headings and subheadings from my Word doc. Some topics are long, but not all. Oddly enough, the two topics that are not being converted to HTML are very, very short.
3) To make my Long Word docs easier on RB, I split my Word doc into several smaller docs. So I have my Long Word doc for converting to PDF, and for RB, I make each chapter into its own word doc, and I import those.
4) In the RB TOC, I'm creating a book for each chapter title, and pages for each topic. BUT, if if I have subheadings within the chapter with subsubheadings, then I make the subheading a book, and make pages for the subsubheadings (I wanted to nest the pages instead, but I can't figure out how.)
5) Doing a bit of experimentation, I found that if I move the topic that won't convert to HTML up to the subheading/book above it, it gets converted to HTML. If I move it back to the level where I want it to be, it won't get converted to HTML.

Email notification different from actual post

Something I just noticed and am wondering about. Recently I have received some email notifications that are quite different from what is actually posted on the thread. In one, the link was different and there was some differences in wording. In another, there was more text in the post than there was on the email. This seems different from what I am accustomed to seeing, which would often be edited versions of the same post. It seems like the email is an earlier version of the post, but I can't be sure. It has sparked my curiosity, and I am just wondering why this is happening. Has anybody else noticed this?

As Miriam states, unchecking the edit box will cause the reply to not have that info.
I, like Miriam, will occasionally uncheck the edit box but in my case it usually has to do with the fact that I have edited the post more than once and found that if I don't uncheck the edit box on successive edits there will be a long string of edited text below the post. Just cleans up the post a bit. I too, have been guilty of vanity in editing, as I'm sure that most are here.....after all, aren't we all perfect typists here?

Get parked items moved into a cleared status with out actually posting the

Hi,
I need to find a way to get parked items moved into a cleared status with out actually posting the item for payment. I do not have a PO or goods receipt to post them to. There are some invoicese which we are not paying but we want to keep those items in the history of the vendor. I need to be able to run a parked report of open items and not have these pull into that report. I have a some parked invoices for various vendors that I need to get moved into the cleared status.

Ssis flat file to ole db skipping some rows...

for some reason, I can't seem to figure out why I'm missing some lines when I import a csv file that I exported using sqlplus. The ssis package gives no warnings or errors as well.
The reason I know this is because when I loaded the csv file into a separate analysis application it gets the correct totals for numeric columns and row counts.
But for some reason, SSIS doesn't seem to capture all of the lines...
there were 6313052 rows in the csv file and ssis imports 6308607...
any thoughts?
I've tried different code pages too (1250, 1252, and UTF8) but they didn't seem to have an affect

I'm not sure how I could miss delimiters if I export a file like that...
Also, I tested importing these files into MySql using LOAD DATA INFILE and that seems to work fine and import all of the data...

The issue might occur if there are missing either row or column delimiters in the CSV file. Please have a look at the following blog to see if it is the issue:

In addition, the issue might also happen due to the design structure of the SSIS package. You could post one screenshots of your SSIS package Control Flow Tasks and Data Flow Tasks for further analysis.

I think there is a transaction/screen variant maintained for that. Ask your ABAP team member to debug and check if there is any coding done to make it mandatory. There is no customizing for this one. There must be some code written to make it mandatory.
But you are correct, if you maintain the sort string in BOM, it gets copied on to the planned order, the reservation and the production order as well.

Unicode test conversion - skip some steps?

We will be upgrading our system from R/3 4.7x200 to ERP2005, and we have recently successfully upgraded our sandbox R/3 4.7x200 system to ERP2005, all pretty much without too much of a hassle. Now we are planning to do a unicode conversion on the same sandbox system, to get some idea about the runtime of such a conversion. The problem is that we are short on time, and I wonder what the effects will be if I skip some of the steps that should be done before we begin with the actual conversion phase (R3load). I have done some of the pre-conversion steps, but not all, and I wonder if there are some that I absolutely MUST do in order to get through the actual conversion?
In the end, we are not looking for a functioning system after this test conversion, we are only interested in the runtime and downtime findings.

You cannot skip same conversion step.
the good ideas is to use the released method by SAP to do upgrade/conversion at the same time. this will save you time.

Reversal of Payroll Posting of certain employee

Dear Consultant,
There is payment made to employee thru off cycle (0267) and posted to employee. After positng it is observed that there is some discrepancy in some employee (amount paid thru 0267).
Business requirement is to reverse the posting to only those employees and re-run again.
Can it is possible as while posting we have only one document and if we reverse the posting the whole documents (all employees) will be reversed.
Can anyone provide me the solution.

Please let us know if this offcycle result for each employee have posted in sigle posting runs. If that is the case you can reverse the posting for each employees, using the transaction PCP0 and choosing the posted run number for that employee. In case the offcycle results are posted in a single posting run, you have to reverse that entire posting run, which will be for more than one employee.

Skip an employee from being processed in the payroll

I want to skip an employee from being processed in the payroll as the employee is given Unpaid Leave. Please can some one assist me how i can do that by using Fast Formulas ?

The leaves taken by an employee is stored in 'per_absence_attendances' table so you can write a formula function which returns the type of leave taken by employee.
You can then define a skip rule (Fast formula type -> 'Element Skip') and attach it to the element which u want to skip during payroll run.
eg.
v_leave_type = GET_LEAVE_TYPE(..) --Your Custom Function
if v_leave_type = 'Unpaid Leave' then
skip_flag = 'Y'
else
skip_flag = 'N'
return skip_flagThis approach skips the elements from being processed but not the employee. So you have to attach this skip rule to all elements which are needed to be skipped.

Script single button to play frames, then skip some, and continue play?

Just as the topic says, I want to script a button to go to
and play through a motion tween, but then skip some frames to then
play another motion tween all in one button press. For example,
play frame 1 which plays the tween and ends at frame 10 (I have
that part down fine) but then for it to skip ahead to continue to
play frame 20 and then of course stop once it finishes that motion
tween.
Tried a few searches but its too many words to explain so I
wasnt finding anything. Its probably a simple command im just not
familiar with yet. Can anyone help?

I probably should have been more specific. I cant add
anything to the timeline because I have multiple buttons using the
first tween, which is a fade out. Thats why I need a script to add
to each button only to play through that first common tween, and
then skip to play an individual tween set for each button. Like
button 1 goes through the first common tween, a fade out (plays
frames 41 - 53) and its individual tween is frames 54 - 66. This
works fine of course because the tweens are next to each other.
Button 2's individual tween starts on frame 67, so it needs to play
through the common tween fade (41 - 53) skip Button 1's frames, and
continue play on 67. These buttons are located on frame 1 (main
menu) so is it even possible to script a button to do such a thing?
I figured there would be but nothing im trying or seeing online is
working. Heh... does this make sense? :o
The only other way I know it will work is if I copy and paste
all the information in the layers before each section but that
causes me to have to push a lot of information further down the
timeline, kinda making a big mess and causing me to rescript all
frames there.

First thing you should notice is period 000 is not valid or available in that Fiscal year variant K4.
My company has shortened the fiscal year and I encounter the exactly same message "SYST: Period 012 is not valid in financial year variant Z4" in a Finance Report eg. when calling the asset on the shortened fiscal year in the Explorer.
I would like you to seek the SAP note 123026 to check if it rectify the problem or if its not then you should understand that the new variant you have copied dosent have have base to bring data ...ie you need to create it in---> Maintain Fiscal Year Variant and Posting periods in SPRO settings in BI. Check if it works.

For some Employees ESIC is not Deducting, though i have maintained Infotype 0588, but for some employees its coming...and in RT table Employer ESIC Contribution is coming, but in payslip Employees ESIC is not coming...please help me in this issue...

But sir how its coming for some employees and and for some its not.
