Why am I forced to sign in?

Why am I forced to sign into iTunes every time I launch it? All I want to do is play local files in my library, but iTunes asks me to sign in, not just once, but twice, before I can start playing my tunes. Is there a way I can set up my preference to avoid the inconvenience of having to cancel out of the login dialog boxes before I can get to my playlists? Thanks!

Log out of your iTunes Store account when you're not using it, and turn off the preferences for automatic downloading.

    Assuming that you have already verified that your Skype Name is not linked to a Microsoft Account, you can link it to the correct one by using any supporting client, which includes Skype for Xbox One, Windows 8, or Windows Classic. If you're having problems on Xbox One, then try one of the others.

    On my computer (Win XP SP3), I have skype (5.3.0.120) set to sign in automatically, but not start automatically. Normally, when I click on skype in the start menu, it automatically signs in and goes straight to the main window with all my contacts and everything. Today, when I clicked on skype in the start menu, it gave me a log in screen. It remembers my user name but it is asking me to put in my password. (The 'sign me in when skype starts' box is still checked.) Why would it suddenly ask for the password? I am not aware of any updates this morning (and past updates have not resulted in this behavior). Is this a known issue with skype today, or is it possible my computer has been compromised? Is it safe to put in my password to log in to skype?

    The problem, that Skype does not start when you start windows/logon, seems to be with version 5.5, both the Standard and business versions.
    The simplest workaround is to disable the "Skype starts when I start Windows" setting and then add a shortcut to Skype.exe to the "Startup" folder.
    This implies no changes of any setting of Internet Explorer or otherwise and can easily be reversed by removing (deleting) the shortcut.

    I´m new here so I don´t know if theese questions are reacheing the Apples staff or only for the community useres..
    But I put my frustration out here anyway.. :-) (and sry for my norwegian/eng)
    I have like 12 differerent wen sites that I manage, very simple made, but working, thats why I like iweb cos it´s simple and it works.
    I have now finnaly taken the step away for PC laptop also, so I went buying a brand new macbook pro weith Lion the other day.
    Wanted to work on the websites while and travelling, so I copied all the domain info from myc stationary mac to a USB, ready to put into my new friend..
    What????
    No iweb in the programs..
    So there goes that plan into pieces... How to I fix that case? Buying an old ilife and try to intall it?
    Then I wanted to upgrad my stationary mac... but reading forums before I do so... DO NOT UPGRADE IF YOU ARE USING IWEB!!!!
    Well, thats enough said for me to cancel upgrading for me..

    That will work.  The latest version of iWeb does run on Lion (with a couple of quirks). 
    But be aware that iWeb is clearly a dead end;  fixes/updates/improvements are highly unlikely, and it may quit working with new versions of OSX (possibly even future updates to Lion).
    If you're using MobileMe as a host, that will stop in June of 2011, so you'll have to move your site elsewhere.  You can still use iWeb with it; a few changes are required on the Site Publishing Settings page, of course, but they're pretty simple.  And a few features won't work, but there are workarounds for them.
    I recently moved my iWeb site from MobileMe to GoDaddy, and it was relatively painless.

    Why do we have to ask the community (which basically is quite ignorant) our questions when Adobe has the answers? We buy the product from Adobe, but have to ask people who don't really have a clue how to solve the problem. Why can't we ask Adobe? Have they gotten so big that we, the consumer, don't count anymore? Are they so big that it's up to the users to solve their problems when it's Adobe's job to answer and solve the issues? Just curious because it's getting harder and harder to reach Adobe to get help. Shuck's you can't even e-mail them any more. Instead they have these "Forums." Lame. If you do have the opportunity to make it through to a live person, they're from a continent that speaks a language similar to ours but all they can do is appologize instead of fixing the problem. This is really poor customer service. Am I the only who feels this way?
    Oh yeah my question/discussion; "Why do I have to Sign In?" I bought the product, installed the product, now I have to Sign In or I can't use the product - it will become unusable?

    Anyway, I don't want to get there.
    These points from the FAQ clearly answer your question - WHY:
    Q. What if the customer does not have Internet access at installation?
    A. There are two options if the customer is offline at installation:
    • If the customer’s computer is temporarily offline (e.g. he or she is travelling or has Internet connectivity
    issues), the customer will have seven days after the first launch of the product to connect to the Internet
    and log in with his or her Adobe ID.
    • If the customer’s computer is permanently offline (e.g., he or she works in a secure environment), the customer
    will need to complete an Offline Activation process using an Internet-enabled device, also within
    seven days of the first launch of the product. See below for more information on the offline activation
    process.
    Q. Why will an Adobe ID be required for Creative Suite 6 perpetual products?
    A. Adobe Creative Suite 6 products’ serial numbers (for perpetual licenses) and Adobe subscriptions will now be
    registered under a customer’s Adobe ID. Adobe IDs provide customers with easy access to their serial numbers,
    subscriptions, free or paid areas of Adobe Creative Cloud, as well as the Adobe.com community. Customers can

    enter the Request Code where prompted. The customer will receive a Response Code that must be entered in the
    offline machine to complete the offline activation.
    Important Notes: Request Codes are machine-specific and only valid for 72 hours. Customers need to request
    one code per machine and can easily request a new code if the process has not been completed within 72 hours.

    The reason for activating it online - so that YOU have access to your serial number (even if you lose it, ever). Yes, we have seen many a people losing their serial numbers - some in 1 month of activation and some after 2 years. When you activate it online, your serial number is assigned to your Adobe ID. Take for example, a Mac. You need an Apple ID to be able to use the App Store - to keep track of all your purchases as well as your subscriptions. This is exactly the same.
    You don't have to keep doing this every week. It is one-time only activation for perpetual licenses. The 7 days mentioned is the period you get to use the software without activation.

    Sadly, the iPhone 3G can not be upgraded beyond iOS 4.2.1.

    I don't know about the "3" but it's a POP account. I've always suspected that Charter isn't letting go using their mobile apps for iOS. Puzzling that it doesn't block the other way. That is if Mail is open on the iMac it doesn't block access to Mail on either the iPad or iPhone. I'm guessing it's their mobile apps that are the problem but they won't admit it to me.

    I'm being charged for multiple memberships and am trying now to resolve this issue.  Suddenly I find that I have to register the software I have already downloaded for over a year as a TRIAL membership.  I'm an active subscriber for over a year and am being charged on a monthly basis.  If you don't get your act together, you're going to lose a LONGTIME customer.

    I'm trying to deal with multiple billings for my Cloud membership.  After talking to India billing about this they terminated the erroneous billing for $49.99+tax and then I get this email:

    In addition, since Free membership offers only 2GB of storage, you may need to remove files to get your cloud storage down to 2GB (or to purchase additional storage separately if you choose). If you leave more than 2GB of files on Creative Cloud for more than 90 days, you may lose access to some or all of your files.     Which membership are you talking about?  I've been billed for two different memberships.
    If my next credit card statement shows a May billing for $53.00 plus another for $32, I'm getting out of your CLOUD altogether.
    I've used Adobe products for many years.  I thought the Creative Cloud was a great idea and subscribed right away.  However, its implementation by your so-called team has become a nightmare.  The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing.  Is there anyone in the US whom I can talk to who knows what the hell is going on?
