Why am I getting "CA Headless has encountered an error" suddenly?
In the past few days, when I am in Elements Organizer 9 I get this message. I'm not sure what damage is being done, Organizer, Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements still seem to work OK. However, when I tried to back up my Organizer catalog today, I got an error message part-way through and the backup terminated, and about the same time (I was multi-tasking and didn't see when this happened) I got another CA Headless error message.
What exactly does this mean, and what can I do about it? And why is my backup not working?
And why can't Adobe engineers write error messages in plain English that mere mortals can understand without having to scratch their heads (no pun intended) and slog through forums and help menus to find out what the bloody error message means? This error message is utterly useless to me, and I'm not stupid (I earned a PhD 40 years ago, though not in software engineering ...) This is NOT helpful.
Unfortunately the CA Headless message re-appeared today.
I launched Elements Organizer 9 and left it open, planning to return to it after doing some other things on my computer. Neither of the editors were open. After a couple of minutes, I noticed the error message.
I hadn't actually done anything yet in Organizer, other than navigate to a specific album. However, I should perhaps mention that under Edit>Preferences I had set Organizer to auto-analyze media when the system is idle. The album to which I had navigated contained some new video files that I had added yesterday, and there is no evidence of any analysis having been done to them yet (no purple tag on the corner of any of the thumbnails). So I suppose it is possible that the auto-analyzer had started to run once the system was idle and generated the error message. I can't think of anything else that Elements 9 could have been doing that could have triggered an error message, once I'd opened the software and navigated to the album I wanted. The error message appeared "behind" the Organizer screen, I didn't notice it until I Alt-Tabbed to the desktop.
I haven't actually started any editing of video files yet, will do so probably later today, will report any problems encountered.
So far the CA Headless message is no more than annoyance. Haven't tried backing up the catalog again, but no need for that as nothing in it has changed since yesterday.
LATER IN THE DAY -- I've spent most of the afternoon editing and combining about 15 video clips in Premiere Elements, with Organizer open in the background. The software seems to behave normally, and I haven't had a repetition of the CA Headless error since opening PrE and beginning work on the video files. Whatever this problem is, except for the catalog-backup issue resolved earlier in this thread, it doesn't seem to be affecting the software in ways that matter to me. If problems return later, I'll re-open this thread, but for now I think it's answered as much as it needs to be from my perspective.

what are the circumstances under which you're getting your "itunes has encountered an error" message?
the most common circumstance is when people launch itunes, but i've seen it happen at other times too. (importing a CD, downloading a video podcast, plugging in an ipod ...). when do you get it?

Why does my FaceTime say "the server has encountered an error processing your registration"? it happens every time i try to verify my email address.

Getting "adobe Reader has encountered a problem and needs to close
On Windows XP service pack 3. Adobe Reader X
Get "Adobe Reader has encountered a problem and needs to close." . I have uninstalled adibe and reinstalled it and problem came back within 2 weeks after working for a short time.Try the following:
Uninstall Adobe Reader X
Reboot your computer
Delete directory C:\Program Files\Adobe\Reader 10.0
Download the EXE or the MSI installer from ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/10.x/10.1.0/ and execute e.g. either of the following files:
AdbeRdr1010_en_US.exe
AdbeRdr1010_en_US.msi

I keep getting the Error "Adobe Muse has encountered an error and will now exit. Please report the last few actions you took leading up to this error to the Adobe Muse CC team. UIDs With Multiple Owners: ImageFrame owned by PagePageItem and BaseLink". I get this when I try and save and I am not sure what is causing it or, since i made several changes to the site, which actions it would have been. I am using the latest updated version of Muse. the 2014.3 I was able to publish site with changes but it did not save, so I have a web version different then what is saved. My published site is the most recent one but the saved version is one without latest changes. When I tried to merge it started updating the Assets and then showed that Error message and shutdown.
I believe you have already updated Muse version which includes fix for this issue , if not then please update Muse to latest version.

On my Mac, after the installation i get this error when i start - "Premiere Elements 13.0 has encountered an error. [/Adobe/pre/main/MediaCore/ASL/Foundation/Make/Mac/../../Src/DirectoryRegistry.cpp-283]"

Why do I get - 'This message has no content' - with some e-mails on my iPad when the same messages can be received on my Mac Book Pro without any problem and how can I fix it?
Is this a POP (POP3) email account? If so, you MacBook Pro may be retrieving the email and deleting it off the server before your phone can. Another possibility is that both your Mac and your phone are trying to retrieving it at the same time, and the POP server, which will only allow a single email client connection at a time, is locking out your phone resulting in the "has not been downloaded from the server" error.

I purchased elements 12 today.
When i try to run it the message "your trial period has expired" comes up.
What can I do?

still: trial period has expired
This is five times I have uninstalled and reinstalled
Two days down the tubes
I will go back to Best Buy and see if they will refund my money

Did you try the suggestion at the link? Following its instructions resets the sign in process (it does NOT extend the trial) so that you can start the software, enter the serial number and sign in.

This error pops ups after I have mozilla loaded for a few minutes.
I tried installing (again) Premier Elements this morning after starting up my Win 7 PC. I did install some Windows (optional) updates and deleted several files suggested in "troubleshoot" when I got the same error mesage. The files/folders I deleteed before trying the install again are Cache, PDAppFlex.swf, and PDAppFlex-app.xml.
This lastest installation attempt resulted in the name error message I have gotten a dozen times, "The installation has encountered an error while installing. Please restart system and try again". The hangup always occurrs around the same spot while installing shared technologies. Maybe this info helps? -
