Why ap_invoice_lines_all table added in r12?

Hi,
In r12 ap_invoice_lines_all table added, what is the functionality added and what is the use of it.
Thanks,

  • Inclusion of AP_INVOICE_LINES_ALL  table.

In oracle11 to R12 upgrade am editing an sql query on forms in AP module,
Do i need to include the AP_INVOICE_LINES_ALL table in the query? and AP_INVOICES_ALL is already there in the query.

Did you find anything on this? I don't see that anyone responded to your post.

  • How to manage data in a custom table added in SBO?

    Hello,
I'm developing a addon for one client that needs to control an aditional step, after each Invoice is posted.
Since SBO does not allow me to add additional fields to Invoice header table (OINV), I thought to add a custom table to SBO database to control the process for each Invoice (simple table with 2 columns: DocNum to hold the Invoice number, and Status to keep track if the Invoice was processed or not).
When I added a Custom Table in SBO and checked the table definition in SQL Manager, I found that SBO added automatically 2 new columns (Code and Name).
Since the PK is defined at Code column (and not the DocNum has I wanted), I found that it not very handy to manage data (insert, delete & update) with this table definition.
I tried to find a DI object that could manage easily the data of this table type but had no sucess.
Then I thought in adding the custom table directly in SQL Manager, and manage it directly with Recordet objects.
However this seems not a standard process to manage data since it interacts directly with the DBMS, which can be dangerous...
Is there any way or DI object to manage this custom tables added in SBO?
    Thanks all!
    Manuel Dias

    Hi Manuel,
What do you mean by SBO does not allow me to add additional fields to Invoice header table (OINV).
Have you tried it add a UDF to OINV,if so what is the exception you got while adding.
If you Have not tried Use the following code to create.
    Dim oUserFieldMD As SAPbobsCOM.UserFieldsMD
            oUserFieldMD = oCompany.GetBusinessObject(SAPbobsCOM.BoObjectTypes.oUserFields)
            If (Not isColumnExist(TableName, ColumnName)) Then
                oUserFieldMD.TableName = "OINV"
                oUserFieldMD.Name = ColumnName
                oUserFieldMD.Description = Description
                oUserFieldMD.Type = SAPbobsCOM.BoFieldTypes.db_Alpha
                oUserFieldMD.EditSize = Size
                (objUserFieldMD.Add() )
            End If
if the field is added successfully.
Then open the Invoice screen and goto View menu and click on user defined fields then it will show you one form which contains the field you added,
You can access this field using DIAPI of Invoice object

  • Why is Discoverer adding outer joins?

    Hi,
I have set up standard joins (i.e. no outer joins) between one master and two detail folders in the Admin. For some reason when I create a report using the three folders, Discoverer is making them outer joins. Note: This query will cause a fan trap but there is a business reason for doing so (disable fan trap detection is checked). I'm using Plus/Web for the report.
Why is Discoverer adding outer joins?
    Thanks, Andrew
This is what I expect (note one master joined to two details):
    SELECT
    O125508.BUSINESS_TRANSACTION_CODE,
    O141221.SOURCE,
    O141221.AMOUNT
    FROM IRIS.IRS_ACQUIRED_INFO_V O125508,
    IRIS.IRS_FUNDINGS_V O141221,
    IRIS.IRS_FUNDING_SELECTIONS_V O144361
    WHERE ( ( O125508.BUSINESS_TRANSACTION_ID = O141221.BUSINESS_TRANSACTION_ID )
    AND ( O125508.BUSINESS_TRANSACTION_ID = O144361.BUSINESS_TRANSACTION_ID )
    AND ( O144361.SOURCE = :"Source" )
    AND ( O125508.BUSINESS_TRANSACTION_CODE = :"Business Transaction Code" )
This is what Discoverer is generating (note duplicate masters {IRS_ACQUIRED_INFO_V} with outer joins):
    SELECT
    O125509.BUSINESS_TRANSACTION_CODE,
    O141221.SOURCE,
    O141221.AMOUNT
    FROM IRIS.IRS_ACQUIRED_INFO_V O125508,
    IRIS.IRS_FUNDINGS_V O141221,
    IRIS.IRS_ACQUIRED_INFO_V O125509,
    IRIS.IRS_FUNDING_SELECTIONS_V O144361
    WHERE ( ( O125509.BUSINESS_TRANSACTION_ID = O125508.BUSINESS_TRANSACTION_ID ) )
    AND ( O125508.BUSINESS_TRANSACTION_ID = O141221.BUSINESS_TRANSACTION_ID(+) )
    AND ( O125509.BUSINESS_TRANSACTION_ID = O144361.BUSINESS_TRANSACTION_ID(+) )
    AND ( O144361.SOURCE(+) = :"Source" )
    AND ( O125509.BUSINESS_TRANSACTION_CODE = :"Business Transaction Code" )

    Rod,
You’re correct in that the “source” field in the query (aka: select portion) is different than the “source” field in the condition - but this is on purpose.
Here is a good analogy. Department has many Employees. The business question is to give me all employees in Andy’s Dept (but you don't know what department Andy is in, so you have to have the query reverse engineer Andy's department and then go back and get all the employees in that department).
The raw query/data without the condition causes a fan trap and looks like this:
    select d.dept_name, e1.emp_name, e2.emp_name
    from dept d
    ,emp e1
    ,emp e2
    where d.dept_id = e1.dept_id
    and d.dept_id = e2.dept_id
    Dept Name....Emp Name 1....Emp_Name 2
    Services.....Joe....................Joe
    Services.....Joe....................Jane
    Services.....Jane..................Joe
    Services.....Jane..................Jane
    IT.............Andy.................Andy
    IT.............Andy.................Sara
    IT.............Sara..................Andy
    IT.............Sara..................Sara
    Billing.........Bill.....................Bill
And this is what we want:
    select d.dept_name, e2.emp_name
    from dept d
    ,emp e1
    ,emp e2
    where d.dept_id = e1. dept_id
    and d.dept_id = e2. dept_id
    and e1.emp_name = 'Andy'
    Dept Name...Emp_Name 2
    IT...............Andy
    IT...............Sara
And this is what Discoverer is providing:
    select d2.dept_name, e2.emp_name
    from dept d1
    ,dept d2
    ,emp e1
    ,emp e2
    where d2.dept_id = d1.dept_id
    and d1.dept_id = e1.dept_id(+)
    and d2.dept_id = e2.dept_id(+)
    and e1.emp_name(+) = 'Andy'
    Dept Name....Emp_Name 2
    Service..........Joe
    Service..........Jane
    IT.................Andy
    IT.................Sara
    Billing.............Bill
Also, DisableAutoOuterJoinsOnFilters is set to 1.
    Thanks for your help!

    Hi,
As pr my understanding, if you have a normalized structure for say, a cube, mean you have 10 table connected to single central table. So while queying you are trying to read data in a single SELECT on virtually a view of 10 different tables.
While in the present denormalized cube structure, you go for different selects virtually F table -> DIM table -> SID table -> Mastertable -> Text table. One can imagine sort of parallel SELECTs.
So if for small amount of data this denormalized structure may be slow but if you imagine for huge volume, this method is better.

  • Why SAP Table BSEG-BUZEI using Domain as BUZEI??

    Hi all,
I want to have possible set of reasons for below Query
Why SAP Table BSEG-BUZEI using Domain as BUZEI? Not NUMC3 as domain? Here we are not using any Value table or Conversion Routine, they why SAP can not use NUMC3 as Domain for SAP Table field BUZEI.
    Thanks in Advance...
PS:Only Valid answers will be awarded Points.

    HI vipin,
    1. The maximum POSSIBILITY
of line items in one accountiing document
will be 999 (as of today)
    2.Hence, NUMC 3
    3. However, it is quite possible,
that IT MAY INCREASE IN FUTURE
      TO 9999 (4 digits, 5 digits etc.)
    4. If SAP had used NUMC 3,
then it would have to REPLACE
all such fields in respective tables
       to NUMC4, NUMC4, NUMC4....
    5. But for RE-USABILITY PURPOSE,
It createad a DOMAIN with BUZEI,.
6 Now, in future, if requirement is there
      for 4 digits,
We SIMPLYE HAVE TO CHANGE THE DOMAIN
       TO NUMC-4
AND IT WILL GET AFFECTED IN ALL RESPECTIVE TABLES.

  • Why a table full scan when I've got the PK in the WHERE clause?

There is a very complex query that I need to optimize in an Oracle 10gR2 environment. I am deconstructing it into layers to see what is causing the first bottleneck. The innermost portion is fine, with an explain plan cost of 54. With a typical value for the bind variable, it returns 125 zero_id values. There are over 100,000 rows in table T_ONE in my test database, but my customer has over one million rows in their production instance.
                  WITH t_merged_id AS (SELECT DISTINCT zero_id FROM t_zero WHERE NVL(column2, zero_id) = :i_id)
                  SELECT   t_one.one_id
                      FROM t_one
                          INNER JOIN t_two
                              ON t_one.column1 = t_two.two_id
                          INNER JOIN t_merged_id
                              ON t_two.column10 = t_merged_id.zero_id
                  UNION ALL
                  SELECT   t_one.one_id
                      FROM t_one
                          INNER JOIN t_two
                              ON t_one.column2 = t_two.two_id
                          INNER JOIN t_merged_id
                              ON t_two.column10 = t_merged_id.zero_id
                  UNION ALL
                  SELECT   t_one.one_id
                      FROM t_one
                          INNER JOIN t_three
                              ON t_one.column3 = t_three.three_id
                          INNER JOIN t_merged_id
                              ON t_three.column10 = t_merged_id.zero_id
                  UNION ALL
                  SELECT   t_one.one_id
                      FROM t_one
                          INNER JOIN t_four
                              ON t_one.column4 = t_four.four_id
                          INNER JOIN t_two
                              ON t_four.column1 = t_two.two_id
                          INNER JOIN t_merged_id

                  SELECT   t_one.one_id
FROM t_one INNER JOIN t_merged_id ON t_one.column6 = t_merged_id.zero_idHowever, the next step is to obtain a bunch of columns from T_ONE for each of those ONE_ID values. Adding that looks like the following, which causes a table full scan on T_ONE (and an explain plan cost over 1,500 for this query in my test system) and it takes far too long to return the results.
    SELECT   t_one.*
        FROM     t_one
             INNER JOIN
(--This is the start of the query shown above
                  WITH t_merged_id AS (SELECT DISTINCT zero_id FROM t_zero WHERE NVL(column2, zero_id) = :i_id)

--This is the end of the query shown above
                   ) t_list
ON t_one.one_id = t_list.one_idMy question is, why wouldn’t Oracle use the existing index PK_T_ONE, which is keyed on T_ONE.ONE_ID? I tried refactoring the query using a “WHERE t_one.one_id IN” construct instead of the INNER JOIN but it didn’t make any difference. Neither did adding an index hint, which I hoped would force the use of the PK index.
    Any ideas?

I was able to completely resolve my problem, but I still want to understand why the original query wouldn't use an index.
(My solution was to move all the joins and where clauses from the query that wrapped the one we've been discussing and put them into each SELECT in the UNION, so there is no longer any inner subquery. So instead of trying to first get a list of ID values from the subquery, get the full records for the IDs from an outer query, and then joining to the outer query, I made SELECT in the UNION contain the full logic. This makes the query a lot more verbose, because all the joins and wheres are repeated six times, but it does use the index and returns in 0.04 seconds instead of over nine minutes in my test database.)

Any chance to get a realistic dataset on your test server?Unfortunately, not for quite some time. The customer won't provide any real data, and generating data for testing is complex because of all the interrelationships. I have someone working on that. However, I was able to get back on the primary test server that has 136k records in the main table instead of only 2k. So far as I know, the Oracle configuration between the test server and the customer's server is the same. However, they have much more serious hardware that I do (more processors, more RAM, more platters). On the other hand, they have 10 times as much data.

  • Why do manually added mp3s in the Podcasts app all show up in the same folder?

    Let me explain!
I like to download lectures and talks and audio books from other sources than iTunes.
I like to add these mp3 files to iTunes, change the Media type of them from Music to Podcast, and transfer them to my iPod Touch. This is so I will more easily know which ones have been listened to and can be removed.
This worked (and works) well in the Music app. Everything was separated into folders based on what album name I had manually assigned to the ID3 tags of the files.
But in the Podcast app, all of these files are now lumped into one folder.
I currently have eight un-listened-to episodes of Philip K. Dick's Valis on my iPod Touch. But the folder shows a count of 106 unheard episodes in relation to this audio book, because it lumps all of my other manually added podcast media tracks into the same folder.
    Why is this?
Why does the Podcasts app refuse to let me separate manually added files into individual folders based on album information?
Had the My Stations feature let me populate its playlists in a more rational manner, and also allowed me to manually change the running order of the tracks (something which only seems to be possible in the On-The-Go playlist), I would not think that this omission was such an annoyance.
I have been searching for months for mentions of this problem, but I have not seen a single one, and so I have finally decided to make my own thread.
Let me know if the nature of my problem remains unclear.
    Joakim

    That doesn't do anything.
When I plug my phone in and attempt to sync it with iTunes and click on "Steven's iPhone" under "Devices" the display to the right just says "loading..." and it stays like that for hours. Nothing happens.
As far as I can tell, there is literally no way for me to delete the photos from my iPhone and I therefore, cannot upgrade to the newest software, download new apps, etc.

  • Interface tables in HRMS (R12 Application)

pl tell me Are there any interface tables in HRMS like payables, GL.  Please let me know

    Hi Helios,
Thanks for your response. Two of the links do not work.
All I really need to know for sure is that R12 supports open interface tables.
Perhaps I didn't use the embedded R12 iRep correctly - the standard view by product family certainly didn't show any open interface table, and they did not appear in the 'interface type' drop down list. However, I notice from an example on the web that you can pivot the results by interface type. I will try that when the environment becomes available again.
    cheers,
    John

  • Capture XML data payload into database table (Oracle EBS R12)

    Hi All,
We have a XML Publisher report which generates output in PDF format. We want to capture the XML data payload generated by this report and put it into a DB table once the PDF is generated.
This report is generated through Oracle EBS R12 and XML Payload is stored by oracle by default in $APPLCSF/out directory.
    Any pointers would be helpful
    br

Couple of options, this one is probably the easiest without knowing other requirements (e.g., do you have to store the output as XML, or do you just the data available so you can output in XML later?).
Capture the SQL statement that generates the output in the first place. If you have that statement, you can insert into some table using the select statement. Once you have the report data (and you can tag that particular set of data with a job ID, timestamp, whatever, in case you need to store it and distinguish it from other reports down the road), you can generate XML output using the PL/SQL built-in DBMS_XMLGEN.
Is that what you are looking for?

  • Problem with return table(adding extra record)

    Hi,gurus,
I am facing a probelm with return table, i.e it is adding body record and workarea record also to the data target. so, it is adding the actual record to data target including the workarea record to with the key figure and year values as zeros and spaces. It's quite strange.
Please help me out, thanks a lot.

    Hi,
I have an ODS with the keys fields(ZPS_TXMID,ZPS_NODE&#65292;ZPS_NODE) and data fields(ZAU_C108,ZAU_C109,0PROJECT). I have to split one record from datasource to 6 records into my ODS. I'm updating ZAU_C109 with a routine with return table. Here is the code, please check it for me:
    <i> data: prj like /BIC/PZPS_TXMID-PROJECT.
    data: ls_icube_value like ICUBE_VALUES.
    clear ls_icube_value.

    APPEND ls_icube_value TO RESULT_TABLE.
    ABORT = 0.</i>
After loading, I checked the contents of ODS, there are 6 records(0project, ZAU_C108 are blank, other fields are correct) + 1 more record(ZPS_TXMID,0project, ZAU_C108 are correct, other fields are blank), what I expect is only 6 records with all fields being filled properly, no blanks, no extra records. Is it strange? or am I doing sth. wrong?
      Your help is appreciated.
